We had such a good time here. I was making frequent trips to Oceanside to visit a family member at Camp Pendleton over the past couple years. We were looking for a chill place to hang out that was away from all the busyness of downtown. Oceanside Brewing was the perfect place spot being located within a business district. The customer service was super friendly and they made us feel right at home. We spend our evening playing board games while drinking some good beer. It was so much fun and relaxing. This is one of Oceanside's oldest breweries. They keep to the old ways of making craft beer but still bring out more current flavors. They have over 20 beers on tap and a nice variety to choose from. This place is dog friendly and I enjoyed getting the chance to pet everyone's dog. Such a great find! read more

Great little place! We were here Saturday evening to celebrate my girlfriends' friend's graduation from law school and it's an awesome little place to hang out. I have never heard of this brewery, although I don't get up to Oceanside very often, but it's definitely a place I wouldn't mind coming back to again. It's located just South of the 76 off a quiet little street and is a relatively small place, but all the beers I tried tasted great and the owner Tomas seems like a very personable guy who takes pride in his business. I don't recall offhand how many beers they have on tap, but I want to say it was at least 18 or 20 beers. They also have recommended mixed beers too. For instance, Tomas mixed one of their IPA's with one of their orange flavored beers and it was pretty good. The ambiance here is nice and I could see it being a place to take a date, or for group settings like we were in on Saturday. It seems like they have a following of regular patrons too which I always like to see at bars and breweries. All in all a great place with a genuinely nice owner who takes pride in his business and what he does. Would recommend and hope to make it up here again sometime. read more

Very friendly atmosphere with an interesting variety of beer. All of the beers are small batch and so what is here today may not be here tomorrow. Right now they have Crowlers available with plans to expand to cans ready later this year. Friday night live music and very friendly service makes this somewhere I'll keep checking in and seeing what is on tap. read more

Great selection of beer served up with a chill vibe lacking some of the other north county breweries pretention. The variety in the menu was refreshing. An "Easy" lager was an easy drinker. There were three sours available and I would recommend any of them my favorite was "lil sunshine". No curb appeal here, but both the inside and back lanai transport you to another place. Great art. Seems like it would be great for groups or birthday parties. Plenty of room and games to play. The outdoor area is beautifully decorated, the stage is impressive for an outdoor venue. I showed up on a Thursday night and it was "Open Mic". A variety of local musicians and some cool jamming. Street Tacos by Mario was the food offering the carnitas were moist and tasty. Dried up carnitas tacos is one of my pet peeves. read more

Don't let the area scare you off, it is located in a weird part of Oceanside... like deep in the business park. We were a little sketch at first to see the place but once we entered it was nice. We tried some flights and got their dunkelweisen for pints. It was delicious. They allow dogs and have a patio area. The decor is beachy. The staffs were nice too! Cool atmosphere. read more

A nice place with good beer. Very quiet when I went, but that's exactly what I was looking for at the time. My dog and I just hung out and I sipped an end of day beer - which was very good. read more

Clean, friendly staff (thank you, Mathew), great beer selection, dog friendly with a cozy patio

Me and a best buddy stopped by here while waiting to skydive a few minutes away. And I'll tell you what, the atmosphere is awesome, sweet games all over the place, good music, and the food truck the day we were here smells and tastes great. I tried their West Coast IPA, the Highlander Amber, and Thomas' new IPA which name is escaping me. All great, loved the vibe and friendly demeanor. Our sky dive got canceled totally sucked, but at least we're in a cool spot. Thanks guys! read more

This has to be the friendliest brewery I have ever been too! We came here on Valentine's Day & it was packed with awesome people & good vibes. It must have been a company party or something because we would be chatting with someone, then they would go behind the bar & pour a beer, & we chatted with like 10 people, all were so friendly! Family friendly. Dog friendly. They had the cutest dog who showed everyone so much love! They have a large selection of beer, something for everyone. We maybe did like 12 tasters & it came in the coolest flight made to be a ship. Everything was so tasty & flavorful! read more

Excellent Beer! Best brewery in SoCal! My new favorite wouldn't, go anywhere else. Off the beaten path and worth the adventure.

Located behind a small door in an old strip mall across from the NCTD office, if you aren't careful you'll pass it by. Because the building is old, the open wood beamed ceiling is legit and from the existing structure vs having been brought in to enhance the decor. Think surf hangout but off the beach. Complementing the theme are old surf boards throughout the brewery. Awesome background tunes. There's a large patio out back. It you can't bring your beer out there. :( No A/C but there's good cross ventilation and a giant fan. A giant chess set and several games included IG Cards Against Humanity are available. For such a small brewery they have an impressive 22 beers on tap. Great service - they let us try a few things if you aren't sure what you want. I zeroed in on the Flying Dutchman. The Flying Dutchman Imperial Porte on nitro has a strong coffee profile with hints of chocolate. Strong and creamy like a good Porter on nitro should be. Think dessert in a cup but without being sickening sweet. At 13.5 ABV this is one kick a@@ beer and it's not enough barrel aged! Hubby got the Corps Hopos, bit too hoppy for me with a strong citrus profile, possibly oranges. read more

I was in town visiting from Chicago, IL and decided to check this local brewery out on a late Thursday afternoon. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Joey. He's personable, funny, energetic, and was in a great mood. A bartender's personality can really make or break how much fun it is to be at a bar, especially if you're just there to chill. So glad Joey's personality and stellar customer service made this a lively atmosphere. He gave me a brief tour and went over some of the craft beers available. I tried 5 different beers and they were excellent! My favorite were the honey beers. They surely bring a unique craft brew experience. They offer life music and quality food at certain times. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return when I am back in town. read more

Came here because a co worker had her going away party here. I wasn't able to attend but I heard they had a good time. So I wanted to come see for myself and sure enough the place is chill with some damn good beer. It may not be the biggest or the best spot but the beer is good, the location has character and it's close to my house. Tomas who is the owner I think is very cool and welcoming. They have several games and a back patio but I'm not sure if it was open. They have more than 18 beers on tap which is more than enough. This is definitely a cool spot I will be a regular in no time. There aren't many breweries in the area so I'll be making my rounds but this one will be my main one. Great job Tomas!!! read more

We've been here pre and during covid and I have to say that I really enjoy this place. Beer selection 5/5: I really like that they have anything from IPA's to Sours. They all taste really good and they have very flavorful beers and they are also able to mix flavors together. Flight Availability 5/5: They have multiple sizes of flight selection which other places don't usually offer. They have flights for 2,3, 5 and even to have a flight of all in a big ship form. Staff friendliness 5/5: Every time I've come the staff has been really friendly and open to talk about the beers and provide recommendations and answer any questions. They always steer you right on beer selection based on my tastes/preferences. There would for sure be something you will find/like. I highly recommend this place!!! read more

Awesome venue and excellent beer. I am a very (read that as VERY) picky beer drinker. Tomas worked with me, and even pulled beers from the back to find one I liked. I love their Ice Ice Baby Cream Ale. It has such a creamy taste and you can really taste the Madagascar vanilla bean used to make the drink. Wonderful flavors and taste. I will be back. read more

One of my favorite spots for grabbing a couple of beers and having a chill time. Like most breweries it's dog friendly and I always have my pup in tow. Pretty small place so they always have one bartender working but they are always friendly and happy to serve tasters and help you choose the right beer. Love IPA's and they usually have about 4 on tap. Inside tables have lots of board / card games to keep you busy. read more

We had such a chill Saturday afternoon here. There is so much variety. If you like hoppy? Check. Something light? Check. Dark? Check. Experimental? You get it. The back patio was the only place we could hang out, but that was all we needed. The staff was on point. Ryan was super cool and helpful. The attitude definitely adds to the chill vibe. Super dog friendly too. As a brewer, I am amazed at the large number of brews offered considering their brewing setup. This is quite an accomplishment. My favorites were the two cream ales, the non-Mosaic IPA, and the nitro porter. read more

Once you get pass the thought of the location being in a commercial zone area you'll have a different mindset once stepping inside . The brewery is big , has cool decor , games inside and plenty of seating , even a few nights of the week they have a taco man inside . Plenty of beers to choose from , our favorite is the watermelon blonde , so refreshing in the summer . I laugh at ppls comments and reviews when they talk about the lack of food here , yes it's a bar/brewery if you're there longer then 2 hrs and have had more then 4 beers yes I would be hungry too , so eat before or don't have more then 4 beers ...problem fixed read more

I dropped in to Oceanside Brewing on my way home after a very long day at work. It was after 9pm, but fortunately they stay open until 10 or 11 (depending on the day of the week). I wish more tasting rooms were open that late. Although, to be fair, perhaps the clientele doesn't exist in this area for late openings. It could be a consequence of beer joints usually not being open late, and hence beer drinkers not going out late. Chicken and egg, as they say. Whatever the explanation (it was also just after Halloween), I was the only customer. I felt like I would have gotten the same friendly welcome and attentive service even if there had been a crowd, though. And the bartender did tell me that they do get crowds on weekend nights. Oceanside Brewing (not to be confused with Oceanside Ale Works, a completely separate company) has only been in business since April 2016, not even two years, so it was strange to me that the place felt well-used and a bit run down. Perhaps that is because of the area it is in, which is an older commercial zone with a lot of car repair shops. The route to the brewery includes some very dark and empty streets, which doesn't make it feel very inviting. The tasting room is actually only about 1000 feet away from Legacy Brewing Co., but because of the way the streets are laid out it takes a 0.6 mile drive to get between them (and I really wouldn't recommend walking between them, certainly not at night). There is a lot of space inside, including a fair number of seats at the bar and a few tables. Outside is where the action is, though: A big patio with umbrellas and plants is divided into several zones and the overall vibe is chill and relaxed, as befits the beach city location (though this spot is admittedly miles from the beach). Oceanside Brewing has A LOT of beers on tap at any one time, 20+. I ended up trying seven between the flight I ordered and some samples the bartender gave me. Some were pretty good, some not so good with possible flaws. Overall, my impression is that they should probably brew half as many beers, focusing on brewing the ones that are good and making them better. The location unfortunately means that they are unlikely to ever build a huge following, despite the excellent patio and good service. read more

Oceanside Brewing Company is a great example of what can happen when people have a clear goal and a clear love of what they're doing. You get a straightforward joint with great product (beer!) and employees who love making your experience great, and there's really nothing better. It's in about as nondescript of a location as you can get in civilization. A little off the 76, basically in an office building, this little gem of a brewery is basically through a door that looks like you're going to an underground poker tournament in your buddy's work warehouse. But go through the door, and you're greeted with a nice, open space that is decorated, clean, and welcoming. SO MANY good beers. Bartender (pictured below!) said they liked to have "a beer... no, make that SEVERAL beer for everyone", and it definitely shows. He was kind enough to let my dad and I both try little tasters before we made our final choices. I wish I remembered what I had, but I loved it. I tried a couple different IPAs and honestly they both seemed awesome. Lots of old surf boards for decoration, and an outside patio area that makes you feel like you're drinking beer in a buddy's back yard. Cornhole and some other lawn games are there, along with plenty of seating. It was fun to see people hanging out with their dogs as well. 5/5 stars - they just get everything right. Take the time to go out of your way and make a stop here - you won't be disappointed. read more

My husband and I decided to take a day trip to Oceanside and check out some breweries. This was our first time, and our favorite of the day. We strolled in on a Sunday around noon and the place was pretty quite considering they just opened. We were immediately greeted and welcomed, which was nice. The guy who was working that day (wish I would've gotten his name) helped us pick out some beers for our flights. They have a great variety of styles and just about something for everyone. We loved everything we tried, and especially loved the outdoor seating, and the fact that they're dog friendly. We will definitely be back! read more

Oceanside Brewing Company is a small place hidden in a mechanical complex of of the municipal airport road. From a far, you can miss this place and I am sure several people have. The area it is in is very hometown, neighborhood-esque with very few markings of there being an awesome brewery. This appeal works good and bad for the restaurant world. Walking inside, you're greeted to a classic wooden style brewing floor with TONS of beer on tap. I mean this place has some of the best brews and they are keeping updated while still changing the menu pretty often! I have checked in here a few times and this place still astonishes me to how packed it is. I love the different brews and even a few house specials and I completely love the style of the entire place with the air themed decor. The background patio is great for larger parties with friends and family. There is no food and one restroom here which sadly knocks it down for me, but otherwise it is fantastic! read more

Went to see a show at the brewery with a couple buddies. We got three different beers: a fruity light one, IPA, and a pale ale. Really poor quality beer. Bland, flat, and bad pours. Seems like they need to figure out their taps or how to pour beer. No head on mine, way too much on the other two. Music was pretty bad too. Unfortunate because the place is really sick. They have a cool vibe inside with bright, popping colors and fun games to play. Hope the beer improves. read more

Favorite brewery in Oceanside so far! They have great service, tons of beer options and a great space out back for games. I love that their beers are so different and so flavorful. OBC is fantastic and in my opinion, one of the best local breweries there are (not counting the behemoths like Stone, Ballast Point or Green Flash). At 20 taps (now) and counting, OBC is currently hosting a Strong Ale Tap Takeover this weekend. This includes their gold-winning 11.2% Soke rice honey barleywine and one of my favs, the MAN beer - a 9.5% Scottish Strong Ale. Just starting out, I see big things on the horizon for this brewery and I'm glad they sprouted roots close to where I live. Their location could be better, along with parking - but I have never "not" found a place to park even if it meant creating my own parking spot lol. Say hi to the owner Greg or any of the friendly staff waiting to fill you a pint. Grab a seat on their large outdoor patio (go when it's cooler as there is no A/C on hot afternoons) and enjoy the beer. They usually have various vendors on-site preparing Mexican food, sushi or tri-tip. It's different every day which is a nice feature. If you love good beer, you'll love OBC. read more

The atmosphere is amazing, the building is very open and the patio area is bright, sunny, and inviting. Plenty of variety for all types of beer drinkers and there is not a single beer on the board that will disappoint.
