This small sushi spot in downtown Vista is a great find. It's nice to have more sushi spots in Vista! The fish is fresh and the rolls are flavorful. The space is very cozy, which adds to the charm, but the parking can definitely be limited. For this reason, we order take out. Also, only half of the restaurant is open since they are still remodeling. I'll wait until the remodel is complete to return and dine in. We've enjoyed several different rolls and sashimi. They have traditional rolls and some interesting speciality rollls. A long list of appetizer options too! The tempura veggies always hit the spot and warm edamame.

4 stars. I am rating 5 because we need many more family owned businesses like this in N. County, especially in Vista! This place rocks: The vibe, the staff, the owner, the service and the food! I love seating at the bar enjoying some snack paired with sake or a cold beer. They also have Japanese beers on tap. The Chefs also work hard on dressing/presentation of each dish. I highly recommend the "Carpaccio": perfect seasoning via a combination herbs and oils... The chefs will also pretty much accommodate and customize each roll with anything you want. Plenty of vegetarian options. Best sushi in in town, period! A big plus for their daily happy hour special! Highly recommended.

Cute little place. Love the look and vibe. Good sushi at reasonable prices. Service is also fast and friendly.

This review is during their soft opening. We came for dinner and were really excited about this new place, but it let us down on so many levels. Food. Agedashi tofu. It's very watery! Seared salmon. So much garlic oil on this, I couldn't taste the salmon.. Yellowtail Carpaccio. It's doused in oil and there was a pinbone in one of the cuts... Hamachi Kama. Generous portion size, but it was really dry. The green tea was great though! It's not from a generic tea bag and was steeped so it was refreshing to have over ice. Last but not least, TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR BILL! The prices on ours didn't line up with the prices on the menu. They mentioned they had a new POS system, but that doesn't make it OK to charge the customer more.. Some people pay without thinking twice, so take a good look first. My agedashi tofu was $7.35 ($7 on the menu) and our chicken katsu was $23.10 (which is $22 on the menu). Overall, I think this place needs to work out a few kinks - but the hot food like the udon and katsu were pretty decent, and the rice to sushi ratio is pretty nice (not too much rice). The servers were friendly and attentive!

Turi's Sushi is that magical little spot in Vista where you walk in and immediately know you've made the right life choices. The sushi? So fresh it practically swims onto your plate. The vibe? Cozy meets classy, with actual fresh flowers that make you feel like you're about to have a Michelin-star experience... but your wallet still gets to relax. And did I mention REAL wasabi? Not the green crayon paste - the real-deal, sinus-clearing, "I've-seen-enlightenment" kind. If you're reading this wondering whether to go, stop wondering. Just go. But don't take my seat, I've got lunch plans there again next week.

Great food and amazing service. The ambiance is very chill and great for a date. The San Diego roll has been my favorite one so far.

I always enjoy my sushi at Turi's. It's always fresh and always delicious. The cuts of fish are yummy and made with perfectionism. Great family owned business. These brothers are Awesome in every way.

Our first time here they were closing and they stopped and let us in and stayed open for us. We enjoyed every item. (This was their soft opening) now today we were craving sushi again and they did not disappoint! They even created a special dish for my daughter. Highly recommended the Momi's Roll and the Lemon roll! Presentation was beautiful

Great new spot in Vista! We went shortly after they first opened on a Sunday, and it was nice and quiet. The service was great, and the rolls were divine! The ambiance will likely improve over time--it's a little open and cold feeling right now. We were also the only ones there which made it feel that way! The menu is huge--both in size and in options. We'll definitely be returning! One piece of advice: add pictures to the menu!

We wanted to try a new sushi place near us so I got on Yelp. Turi Sushi came up. We were blown away. I'm very picky about my sushi. The fish was so fresh and so flavorful. The presentation was awesome. We also got the Ramen and we were both were blown away by the incredible flavor and all the goodies in it. The garlic edamame was delicious. We have found our new favorite sushi place. The prices were about the same as any other good sushi spot. Not overly priced or super cheap. The restaurant was clean, the service was lovely and we will definitely be back.

Went there for a quick little day date. Their food and service was AMAZING! We love to sit at the bar to chit chat and the sushi chefs, and Eddie was a great time. We ordered way more than we should have (not all pictured), but it was well worth it!!! Vista needed another bomb sushi spot down town. Not to take away from Mikko's, but we will definitely come back! I was confused about the location at first, since it's the old Partake/Jackson's sports bar. I had no idea they closed. Don't skip out on this place

This is the second time I eat sushi from Turi's sushi, but this time dined in. I love how intimate it is perfect for dates or families that actually want to carry on conversations. It is very peaceful and quite and don't mention the sushi it's fresh and delicious. The girls are very professional and attentive service is great. I would highly recommend. It's my families new sushi place.

First time and we will 100% be coming back! We normally go to Mikko but tried this place and are so glad. Service was amazing and the sushi was delicious. They also had Kendal Jackson Chardonnay and Stone IPA, our favorites! Plus no long wait to get in on a Friday.

I came in for lunch and ordered the "B" special, which includes 4 pieces of chef's choice nigiri and 5 pieces of sashimi, along with two gyoza, salad, and miso soup. Positives: * The salmon and tuna quality were very good * Service was friendly Negatives: * Despite the apparent freshness, several pieces of fish were cut with noticeable connective tissue (white fibrous strands), which made the sushi and sashimi unpleasant to eat * The spicy tuna roll was extremely spicy, far beyond typical sriracha or similar, to the point it was hard to finish * The salad dressing (looked like a Thousand Island style) was also unexpectedly spicy and heavily coated the lettuce * The albacore quality was not great and also had connective tissue * The ambiance was loud and not very relaxing * Seating felt oddly high and uncomfortable * Prices felt steep for what was served (around $50 for sushi/sashimi lunch options; the mixed "B" special was $26) * The soy sauce dish was very small and made it difficult to dip the nigiri properly Overall, a disappointing experience given the price point. I was hoping to find a new go-to spot, but I'll keep looking.

I thought the rolls were bland despite them being a combo of good ingredients or sauced up (crunch salmon and the dynamite roll). The best thing was the baked dynamite roll. Maybe I'm a bit biased but if the best thing at sushi place includes baked cheese, it's not giving quality ingredients or talent for the cuisine category. The biggest letdown was my sushi plate. The fish didn't have much flavor and the texture was off. It almost seemed like someone rinsed the pieces of fish thoroughly under cold water. Also the 3 salads it came with were NOT fresh tasting and you could tell they'd been sitting all day (and not in a 'oh it marinating' good way). Service was also lacking, but it was a busy Saturday night. The ambiance is a 10 out of 10. I'll give it that. Plus they had plum wine which not many places do, and my mother in law loves.
