    Lemon Roll

This small sushi spot in downtown Vista is a great find. It's nice to have more sushi spots in Vista! The fish is fresh and the rolls are flavorful. The space is very cozy, which adds to the charm, but the parking can definitely be limited. For this reason, we order take out. Also, only half of the restaurant is open since they are still remodeling. I'll wait until the remodel is complete to return and dine in. We've enjoyed several different rolls and sashimi. They have traditional rolls and some interesting speciality rollls. A long list of appetizer options too! The tempura veggies always hit the spot and warm edamame.

Tonight we walked in and sat at the sushi bar. It's was pretty quiet (we were there early). We ordered beer, saki and garlic edamame first. The edamame was delicious. We ate it so fast, no picture. Then we ordered the 12 piece sashimi. It was albacore, yellowtail, salmon and bluefin. The fish was so good. We also ate that so fast I didn't get a picture. We decided to get the lemon roll. We have not had it before. It's was so good. We will definitely go back or order and pick up.

4 stars. I am rating 5 because we need many more family owned businesses like this in N. County, especially in Vista! This place rocks: The vibe, the staff, the owner, the service and the food! I love seating at the bar enjoying some snack paired with sake or a cold beer. They also have Japanese beers on tap. The Chefs also work hard on dressing/presentation of each dish. I highly recommend the "Carpaccio": perfect seasoning via a combination herbs and oils... The chefs will also pretty much accommodate and customize each roll with anything you want. Plenty of vegetarian options. Best sushi in in town, period! A big plus for their daily happy hour special! Highly recommended.

Wow, this is a great place. I never knew about it before it's kind of not really right in front of your face but what a wonderful staff cool vibe great food thank you so much.

This review is during their soft opening. We came for dinner and were really excited about this new place, but it let us down on so many levels. Food. Agedashi tofu. It's very watery! Seared salmon. So much garlic oil on this, I couldn't taste the salmon.. Yellowtail Carpaccio. It's doused in oil and there was a pinbone in one of the cuts... Hamachi Kama. Generous portion size, but it was really dry. The green tea was great though! It's not from a generic tea bag and was steeped so it was refreshing to have over ice. Last but not least, TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR BILL! The prices on ours didn't line up with the prices on the menu. They mentioned they had a new POS system, but that doesn't make it OK to charge the customer more.. Some people pay without thinking twice, so take a good look first. My agedashi tofu was $7.35 ($7 on the menu) and our chicken katsu was $23.10 (which is $22 on the menu). Overall, I think this place needs to work out a few kinks - but the hot food like the udon and katsu were pretty decent, and the rice to sushi ratio is pretty nice (not too much rice). The servers were friendly and attentive!

New spot in Vista that took over Partake space, try the Santa Fe roll, everything was bomb. I say I like they better than Mikko's and gives Wrench and Rodent a run for your money. Strongly recommend.

Turi's has become our favorite local sushi place in Vista! We've been there about 5 times and has yet to disappoint! Both flavor and presentation are wonderfully executed. I would definitely recommend it for anyone living, visiting or passing through Vista!

    Ginger and wasabi

Turi's Sushi is that magical little spot in Vista where you walk in and immediately know you've made the right life choices. The sushi? So fresh it practically swims onto your plate. The vibe? Cozy meets classy, with actual fresh flowers that make you feel like you're about to have a Michelin-star experience... but your wallet still gets to relax. And did I mention REAL wasabi? Not the green crayon paste - the real-deal, sinus-clearing, "I've-seen-enlightenment" kind. If you're reading this wondering whether to go, stop wondering. Just go. But don't take my seat, I've got lunch plans there again next week.

Our first time here they were closing and they stopped and let us in and stayed open for us. We enjoyed every item. (This was their soft opening) now today we were craving sushi again and they did not disappoint! They even created a special dish for my daughter. Highly recommended the Momi's Roll and the Lemon roll! Presentation was beautiful

Great new spot in Vista! We went shortly after they first opened on a Sunday, and it was nice and quiet. The service was great, and the rolls were divine! The ambiance will likely improve over time--it's a little open and cold feeling right now. We were also the only ones there which made it feel that way! The menu is huge--both in size and in options. We'll definitely be returning! One piece of advice: add pictures to the menu!

After placing our order, it took only about 10 minutes before we received the first dish and everything else followed. We ordered a roll the sashimi set a hand roll and also a bowl of ramen. Their salmon and engawa was tasty, but I wouldn't say their fish is the freshest or have much flavor to them. Unfortunately, we had an issue with our spicy tuna roll (there was a piece of metal found inside). I'm sure it was just overlooked. But service was very friendly and accommodating. They immediately remade our roll and also provided some complementary dessert. The service here was quick and friendly. I appreciated it given how busy the restaurant was.

Only a few things were a miss but that could be preference. The gyoza were fried perfectly and not greasy. I loved the crispness. Sadly, they lacked flavor and tasted bland. The vegetable roll was amazing. It was fresh, had crunch, and bursting with freshness. I preferred the eel deluxe roll over the dragon roll. Even though it's the same texture the flavor was nice. The eel was grilled perfectly. The dragon roll was mid. The cucumber chunks in it were too chunky and it's a bit one noted. The highlight for me was the summer roll.
