    ai menu photos :(

i've been here a couple times before and had a decent time, but coming back a year later was only a disappointment. really unhappy to see their menu is covered with AI generated photos. how am i supposed to trust the food when you don't even want to put real photos of it on your menu? i ordered the tofu teriyaki and could immediately tell there was something off with it. i could barely eat two pieces of tofu before i knew my stomach was going to be upset. not even 20 minutes later and i was in the bathroom. don't have experience with the rest of the menu, but definitely wouldn't recommend the tofu to anyone

Found this place via Yelp. Had great reviews, they were clean, it was lunch time and the dishes satisfied us. Service was adequate for a small place . Each one of us chose different plates and boy were we full.

We were in town for an event for the weekend and decided to stop here for dinner since my girlfriend enjoys the Escondido location. We got fried gyoza which was really flavorful, we liked the soy sauce mixture it came with. I had the beef yakiudon which was good, too. I didn't know what flavors to expect, I assumed maybe a salty savory flavor but it was actually on the sweeter end. The food arrived quickly and it wasn't busy when we went in so we got to pick our table. I enjoyed getting to watch the cooking show on the TV hahahah. I'd be open to returning and trying other food.

Cute place with good parking outside and a variety of items on the menu. It was the perfect spot for a casual dinner for us, perfect for us to stop at right before going to see a show at the Moonlight Amphitheater close by. I enjoyed the bright lighting and seat-yourself vibe. The place is clean and modern and minimal inside but also has fun things like themed screens (we were fascinated by the montage of people taking bread out of the oven in the video loop that went for our entire dinner lol). The sushi tasted good and the garlic noodles were so divine. Would definitely come back again!

Nice little spot in Vista! While they do have sushi, which was really good -- we enjoyed the garlic noodles the most! The sushi tasted fresh and a good size. The garlic noodles and filet mignon was amazing. Really really full of garlic flavor and the steak was tender and juicy. We'd go back for the garlic noodles. The curry was different ... it's is really thin, compared to traditional Japanese curry and we would have like more vegetables (potato, carrot, etc) in it.

I finally took myself to eat here after years of going to the Escondido location. It's way bigger inside! The menu is identical with the exception of a couple specials I think. The servers were really attentive and friendly. I was the only customer eating there and I sat at the bar seating. I could hear the cooks singing what was playing in the restaurant. It was really funny! The karaage app is a big portion and is good on its own without the dipping sauce it comes with. The salmon lemon roll was better than the sushi I had in Escondido. I need to come back and see how the ramen compares! I would definitely come back.

I've been coming to Mirin Kitchen since they first opened, before the unfortunate fire, and I'm so glad they've continued to stay open. This place consistently delivers fresh, flavorful Asian fusion dishes that are both comforting and satisfying. Some of our favorite appetizers include the cucumber salad, edamame, seaweed salad, steamed gyoza, and katsu chicken. As for sushi, we love the Double Salmon, Lemon Salmon, Dragon, Caterpillar, Protein, and Mirin Roll. For noodles, our go-tos are the Chicken Yakiudon, Beef Yakiudon, and Vegetable Yakisoba. We haven't tried any of the ramen items yet, but they're on our list. Service is usually quick and friendly, and the staff are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is clean and modern, whether you're dining in or picking up. I really like the tasteful, current decor. If you're ordering takeout, just be sure to double-check your order, as you should anywhere, as a few times I've had extras or add-ons missing (like extra lemon, for example). Ordering directly through their website is very easy and much more efficient. Parking is plentiful and convenient. They're located next to Starbucks in the Albertsons shopping center.

Went to try this place after a surfing day. The ambiance is super cute and it's pretty and clean. The staff were super nice and the food was yummy. I got a mirin roll and a spider roll, some asahi and hot sake. Happy belly!! There are also 3 space inside depending on the bide you want between bar, front seats and back seats more ambiance.

It was a nice quiet, clean place with lots of seating. The service was attentive and kind, no complaints there. The ramen was underwhelming to say the least. I was excited to come here given that I enjoy the Mirin Cafe in Escondido however, the ramen was meh. The pork was slightly over cooked and tough. I took half of it home but the left overs tasted bitter for some reason. I was a little disappointed to have gotten it in the first place.

Soo good! Picked up for take out this time and ordered veggie tempura, chicken Yakisoba noodles as a beef teriyaki bowl. Everything was flavorful and tastes awesome! My family enjoys this place and we have ordered/ visited from here like 5 times! Keep the yumminess coming! Order was ready in good time and hot at pick up,

Double salmon roll and shrimp roll.

Nice find in a plaza area. We were looking for something light for lunch and decided to give this place a try. Upon walking in we noticed how incredibly clean the entire restaurant was. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had the cucumber salad (fairly basic) and two rolls. Both were obviously made fresh to order and delicious. Would consider eating here again I. The future.

My first time at this location. I came for dinner and was immediately greeted and seated. Restaurant looked clean and we had a very nice server. I tried their Hotnight sushi roll and beef teriyaki plate. The plate came with rice, miso soup, and salad. Everything tasted good and the portions were good.

The kids inhaled the chicken before I could even sneak a bite so I'll assume it was delicious since they can be picky eaters. Also took FOREVER to get our rolls and the place was half empty, actually nobody else on our side of the joint. Rolls fell apart on nearly every bite, very little fish inside and out, overwhelming amount of cucumber inside to fill space. To end it all we were charged gratuity when she ran our card. What the heck!?' If I wasn't with friends I hadn't seen in a while, I would have asked to speak to the manager, but didn't want to make it worse that it was nor want to make a scene. We had to park down in the far end in front of a Starbucks that looked closed, so I'm sure there are some peak times that this shopping center is very hard to park in so just a heads up. The restaurant itself is very beautiful inside the bar looks really great. They've got some beers on top and there's also a sushi bar that you could sit in front of. I don't know if they take reservations, but we didn't have any. It was just the two of us and we were seated at a high top right away. I think they were a little bit busy so it took a moment for somebody to come by and get our drink order we ordered a couple of beers and a little bit of sake and a couple of waters. I do want to add a sidenote that those waters never appeared, but I realize that everybody was a little bit busy that night so I'll always forgive a slight oversight. Onto the ordering, we started off the evening with the Hamachi with jalapeños over a cucumber salad, and that was delicious and then we had some sashimi, which was really good as well. My husband had ordered the crab croquettes when we got there, and it was at the end of the meal when our waitress came over after I asked about them that she said that the kitchen had just informed her that they no longer have them so a little inconvenient when like 30 minutes had passed I realized they weren't coming so it wasn't too big of a deal, but my husband was very excited about those and he didn't get them lol. My husband, I think had their namesake role and he really liked it. I had their salmon skin handle. It was all right. I really liked their avocado maki roll, but I like that everywhere. I think it was the owner or maybe a manager who came by and asked us how everything was. I let him know. It was our first time and they were gracious enough to give us a free dessert which was deep-fried Biscoff cookies with vanilla ice cream many other delicious things that I'm sure I'm not naming and everything about it was really good. Five stars for the overall experience I think we'll be back another time.

We ordered the spicy salmon roll, the rainbow roll, dragon roll, limitless roll, truffle shuffle roll, karaage and the 3x3 sashimi combo roll. The rolls didn't have too much rice on it and had a lot of the ingredients inside. There were about 8 pieces per roll. Our favorite ended up being the truffle shuffle roll. The fish was fresh. The karaage was lighter than I'm used to, I believe they used white meat instead of dark meat and it wasn't as oily. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They came by to ask us how we liked our food and brought us water refills. Would come here again to try the other rolls!
