Salmon poke bowl

After so many years I'm still loving their teriyaki weekend dinner combo specials. They have the best macaroni potato salad! My hubby loves the miso soup! And our son loves the ca roll! I also love getting their hand rolls every kind of fish we order is really fresh! I have also been really loving their salmon poke bowl. Usually I get their Oceanside poke bowl that one is yummy too. Go run and try it now!

A should be staple for anyone in oside/vista at the very least. Obviously if you know you know, but if it has to be said, Teri Cafe is always the best. No one beats their selection, prices, and vibes. My go-to is the teriyaki chicken bowls. They just make it perfect, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Really easy to order ahead and take your food to go or to find seating in their restaurant. This location has a large outdoor patio and lots of booths and tables inside. Super easy to find parking in the plaza too.

CHICKEN TERIYAKI (4.5 stars) - FOOD: deicious - PRICE: affordable - SERVICE: good - AMBIANCE: average diner like eatery Came and conquered! It's difficult finding a good teriyaki that's not connected to a bento box. They full on server those really good teriyaki plates that are hard to fine. Upon arrival the place looked popular with local Oceanside residence. Order at the front counter and food will be delivered to the table within 10 minutes. :: FOOD :: Chicken Teriyaki PLATE ($14) - chicken teriyaki, rice, green salad, and potato salad. Went for the plate instead of the bowl and the portions were massive. You can tell the kitchen just cooked the meal and no item has been sitting out. The chicken teriyaki was nicely grilled, sliced, and marinated in the sauce. The teriyaki wasn't too thick, nor runny, and the protein was not swimming in it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MANZANITA SOL APPLE SODA - this was the first time having apple soda and it was yummy. I usually don't drink soda with heavy meals but this didn't give me the burpies or gerb. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I can't wait to come back (or try their other location down an exit). Until the next review...

This place is such a fun spot for good Japanese food with a Hawaiian vibe. Your order before you're seated and they have the food coming out fast. It's impressive. Everyone is super kind and attentive. I even forgot my purse hanging off the back of my chair and one of the employees noticed and kept it at the front counter for me until I returned. Not a thing was missing. But besides that the food is delicious here and you won't be disappointed! The portions are great for the price too.

This is a really great sushi/ Hawaiian spot right off the freeway. They're open later than other dinner spots and it's a pay and seat yourself establishment. The cashiers and servers were polite and our food came very quickly (we came late at night so it wasn't very busy.) There is inside and outside seating and the inside decor is very cute. Our meals were really good, I especially liked my poke bowl/ Oceanside bowl which came with soy sauce but I ended up not using it because the fish was seasoned well. They also have the canned Hawaiian soft drinks which I love. I would definitely go again to try some of their other sushi/ seafood options!

It's an open space with tables and chairs and some booths. The place is brightly lit and doesn't have a true ambiance I felt to it. Just some things here and there. Felt more like a cafeteria. The staff were all nice and helpful. You order your food at the counter and then you sit down. The staff do check in though, which was nice. The food I felt was good but mediocre. Nothing to write home about or tell people "you have to try this place!" The prices are fair however.

I have eaten at Teri Cafe for a while now. I used to not like it so much but it was at least consistent. I recently went and was very please with my meal and the price. I got the Chicken Breast plate and could not believe the amount of food for $18. Plus, even though it is quick serve, the employees were visibly walking around making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely heading back there soon.

Why is there fake grass on this plate? Pointless. Imagine this photo without it... would look the same.
Mitchell C.

As much as I like Teri Cafe, one thing that has always bothered me is the fake plastic grass they add to every sushi plate. Why is their plastic touching my food? Simply for decoration? Teri could save the money by not buying this stupid fake plastic grass. It doesn't look good, it DEFINITELY doesn't taste good lol, so why is it there? It CHEAPENS the dish rather than enhancing it. Nobody will care if it's gone. Customers won't say "Hey, this sushi is worse now that the plastic grass is gone!" Ridiculous. Get rid of the fake plastic grass at all your restaurants and I'll get rid of my 1 star reviews.

Great place to stop by for a quick lunch or dinner. The employees are kind and helpful. The restaurant was clean and even though they were very busy everyone we encountered was wonderful. They have everything from ramen to teriyaki plates, katsu, sushi and poke. We will definitely be back to try other dishes

When I first moved into the city of Oceanside, I lived in an apartment complex on Grove Rd…read more While doing a search for Asian cuisine in the area, I came across Wu Lan Ramen and after my visit, I had to write a review! For some of the best ramen that Oceanside has to offer, I recommend The Wu Lan Ramen located in the Plaza Del Oro Shopping Center, just south of the 76 Hwy. It's hidden behind the 24 Hour Fitness and CVS. The plaza has limited parking, but it isn't typically too crowded and you should be able to find parking in front of this family-owned ramen restaurant. They have a quaint and trendy ambiance and they placed a lot of care into their anime murals, which lends to a "whimsical" vibe. It's a nice blend of traditional elements & colors and modern (kawaii) accents. The interior is also spacious and has great seating for groups and is also good for couples too. Enjoy table seating or better-yet at their bar seating and you can chat with the friendly staff! They have a "staple menu" that is written in chalk on a board and then there's their menu that is very diverse. They also have a great Happy Hour menu with items priced below $8, including sake! I enjoy their pan-fried gyoza, salted edamame, miso soup, firecracker shrimp, fried calamari, chicken karaage and most other delicious dishes. Their sushi menu is also high quality grade and I feel is often overlooked and underrated. But their ramen is what shines the most! There are so many styles & varieties! There's a lot to customize and their broth is amazing! There are many tasty bowls, desserts and don't forget to grab a sake or a craft beer! I recommend checking Wu Lan Ramen the next time you're looking for some authentic ramen or sushi in the north side of Oceanside.

They are generous with their vegetable portions, and the broth is very easy on the palette. :) I accompanied my ramen with a drink and appetizer. A fantastic experience…read more Gonzo kept showing up on my yelp feed when I was searching for some eats after a long day at Legoland. So we made the trip there. It's a lovely decor, massive size and quite busy at 8pm at night on a weekday. It's a great place to hang with friends. I really like how they do seating. You queue up for an order at cashier first and the staff then finds you a suitable place to sit. Lots of art and posters on the wall to look at while waiting for the ramen to come out. The service was quick and efficient. The ramen was legit good. Was skeptical of the name, but he food was good. They also have a full bar/lounge area and al fresco dining on the patio outside. It's a great spot, next time I'm in town, I'll definitely check it out. Really liked the downtown area at night. Seems lively and a good place to hang. The tonkatsu was really yummy, rice broth, I drank the whole bowl. Great char siu, good flavor.

While we both really enjoyed our ramen from here, it was also, I'm sad to say, not very memorable. I would be happy to come back and eat here again, but it's one of those places that I would forget about if I didn't have pictures, ya know?

The inside has this cool modern vibe with Japanese elements throughout which I loved. We started off with takoyaki for the app and omg the presentation was so cute. I'm a total sucker for photogenic food so I was already obsessed before even taking a bite. And the taste? Crispy and chewy on the outside, soft on the inside. Easily a 5/5. For my main I went with the Sapporo miso ramen and wow, the broth was so rich and flavorful. The noodles were thick and chewy and you could totally tell they were made fresh. The pork chashu was super tender and the grilled corn?? Loved it so much. I finished the whole bowl which honestly says everything. My friends got the vegan ramen and the tonkatsu ramen and they were both big fans too. Our server was super attentive and helpful the whole time which made the experience even better. Oh and the prices are really reasonable for the quality you're getting! This location is right by the mall too so it's the perfect stop before or after some shopping. We settled on Oceanside in hopes of finding good food, as our weekend (end of Feb) had been full of a poor results. This place came up as very well rated on Yelp, as my friend and I searched for places to eat. It was a Saturday night with great weather. The red flag I should have read into was that the lone guy working that night was a one man show. He was doing it all in the front of the house. I tried to get us a table to sit outdoors but he just couldn't get to the table to clean it. After about 20 minutes he finally came and just moved all the bowls to the empty table next to it and wiped it down. When my friends finally arrived we all sat down to sticky menus that had NO descriptions. What you see on the website is exactly what they have on the menu. We had to wait to ask the server/host what each menu item meant. It took a while to get our food from when we ordered. Thank goodness for good company, I didn't clock it. The food options were limited and keep in mind for those who have children, most of the options come with a spicy kick, you'll have to explicitly tell them "no spicy"! There was a party who had been sitting for a while before we got there and a kiddo took a bite of pizza and was crying, screaming from it being so spicy. With my ramen the portions are tiny for what you pay, with 1 piece of meat, not enough noodles. Flavor wise it was spicy and bland. We ordered a couple appetizers which were not very good. The edamame was overly salty and soaked in soy sauce and the karaage was probably the only good thing and that was a little overfried. No one in our party finished our food or took any of the leftovers home. Save yourself the trip, not worth trying the "unique foods".

And said welcome for two? have that table right there! I was shocked, immediately feeling more than welcome. So now my hopes were high. Ordered the pork fried rice, house pho, and lotus stem salad with shrimp. Where to begin my goodness, I'm salivating writing this review only one day later. Let's start with the salad, never would I order this in my life but my girl knows her Asian cuisine very well, it was the first thing she picked. And my god, freaking unbelievable every bite I had was so so tasty! That dressing is incredible along with the onions, I don't know what they do to them but man oh man they were delightful. Now the pork fried rice, what a hit! The pork is sliced so unbelievably thin and with so much flavor too, and the fried rice was all very good. Definitely not the best fried rice I've had but it was still quite tasty, I feel it was just slightly on the dry side for a fried rice. But flavor was very tasty and some bites were not dry. And the pho!! Kabang, another hit!!! The broth, noodles, everything. And they serve it with beans sprouts and jalapeno which is a must add!! The crunchiness from the bean sprouts ties the whole bowl together! Will I be back is not even a question one should ask. Boy am I glad to have tried this place!!! 9.5/10 Lost .5 points because of the fried rice. What a beautiful spot!!! Apologies for no pictures I tend to forget when on a date.

Ordered two- one for now and one for later. I called before leaving and asked if they could make a vegan banh mi and was told yes, that it wasn't a problem. I specifically asked if there was anything in the sandwich that would make it not vegan- the employee said no that if I asked for vegan than it would be made vegan. So no pate and no mayo? Employee confirmed they don't use mayo and omit the pate for vegan. Great! So I ordered two, went to pick up and paid. After getting back to work and starting to eat my sandwich, I notice that there is a creamy taste. I called the restaurant and explained that they must have put mayo in my sandwich. The employee said there is no mayo in their banh mi, so I asked what the white cream was and he said it was butter. I said I couldn't have butter and butter wasn't vegan. He then said it was vegan butter and I asked three times to be sure if I was understanding him correctly. He then said he would go check the ingredients. He read them off to me on the phone and once I heard MILK, it was game over. I told him I can't have milk and milk Isn't vegan. Then a long awkward pause and he said, "it's not?" And I sad, no, it's vegetarian but definitely not vegan. He apologized and said he didn't know. *sigh* He offered to remake them without butter so then I had to drive back and waste more time and gas. So... I drove back. The sandwiches were remade but, I'm glad I do not actually have an allergy. As I was leaving, he told me that next time I ordered to tell them no milk. That bothered me a little bit because unfortunately this establishment does not know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. To be honest, I don't know if I will return. Now I'm questioning if what I ordered the last time I was here was vegan at all. :( If you're vegan and ordering here, I don't know that I'd trust they don't use any animal products in their ingredients. I feel like you would have to ask for a list of ingredients to be sure you're not surprised with anything.
