Hot ramen pls ..
Bel H.

Met up with friends. First time here. Everyone loved what they ordered. Service was also excellent, very attentive, very friendly and patient . Took the empty plates in a timely fashion to make space. Tables get crowded at times fast when there are a lot or orders. The Old fashioned drink tasted yummy, actually ordered 2 . Bowls of ramen came in a good portions. The place is not big but plenty enough to accommodate larger grp. Relaxing ambiance, moderate noise, still able to make conversation easy across the table. Place only has chopsticks . They will provide training piece to attach to your chopsticks. Good place to also start learning-how-to-use-chopsticks 101. Place is part of a mall, lots of parking. Check out the place if you have not been here yet. Good place to replenish those calories burned while doing your shopping. Or, get those nutrients to sustain you while shopping after enjoying your meal. Ask for Alyssa when you stop by.

I was craving ramen for dinner. It was after a long day at The Flower Fields. We ordered from Beshock Ramen through Uber Eats. Everything was well packed with many utensils. We ordered the following; - Pork Bowl 5/5 Seared pork chashu, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and garlic chips with eel sauce and mustard mayo. It was very tasty, rich with juicy ork chashu. - Vegan Ramen 5/5 Creamy vegetable broth with shio koji and soy milk base, sesame oil, tofu, grilled corn, cherry tomatoes, broccolini and green onion. I loved this order. It was creamy and rich, in addition to large portion. -Nagoya Karage 5/5 It included rice, Nagoya Karage, and spring mix. The chicken was crispy, juicy and very flavorful. -Pork bun 5/5 Seared housemade pork chashu, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and garlic chips with eel sauce and mustard mayo. We had such a fantastic meal. Next time, I will try to stop by the restaurant to have the full experience and get more of their delicious food.

Sapporo Miso and Vegan Ramen.

This place is literally one of my go-to ramen spots and for good reason! The moment you walk in, every staff member greets you and it honestly gave me the best Japan flashbacks. The inside has this cool modern vibe with Japanese elements throughout which I loved. We started off with takoyaki for the app and omg the presentation was so cute. I'm a total sucker for photogenic food so I was already obsessed before even taking a bite. And the taste? Crispy and chewy on the outside, soft on the inside. Easily a 5/5. For my main I went with the Sapporo miso ramen and wow, the broth was so rich and flavorful. The noodles were thick and chewy and you could totally tell they were made fresh. The pork chashu was super tender and the grilled corn?? Loved it so much. I finished the whole bowl which honestly says everything. My friends got the vegan ramen and the tonkatsu ramen and they were both big fans too. Our server was super attentive and helpful the whole time which made the experience even better. Oh and the prices are really reasonable for the quality you're getting! This location is right by the mall too so it's the perfect stop before or after some shopping. Highly recommend!

Beshocked by the small portions, lukewarm broth, and sad chashu from this ramen joint. I visited right after the restaurant opened on a sleepy Sunday. The service was friendly and efficient. The food didn't really satisfy my ramen cravings or make me feel full afterwards. My dining companion ordered the tantan noodles and I got the spicy miso ramen. The chashu included in my ramen was sad and pathetic. The spinach and egg made everything taste even more tepid as both items were ice cold. The noodles were nice and springy but the portions were small. I ended up finishing my meal in less than 4-5 bites. I wouldn't mind eating here again but wouldn't recommend it or go out of my way to return. Parking is free but it can be a challenge due to the mall being perpetually crowded.

First off I want to thank Eliza our server for being so welcoming and nice. I feel like lately the service has gone downhill everywhere, so you kind of forget what it's like to have genuinely nice and pleasant service. I've been to the downtown location when they first opened, but never to this one in Carlsbad and it was my bfs first time too. I was kind of hyping it up beforehand and hoping it will live up to it, in front of his eyes lol. The food was really good, Eliza recommended I add spicy pork to my ramen and it was perfect - this is going to be my new go-to. The karaage was fresh and crispy, the tea they used was actual loose leaf, and it all came out at a decent time. I kind of want to go back to try some of the cocktails, they all sound really good. And you can walk off all the calories at the mall after!

While heading back to Orange County, we wanted ramen, and Carlsbad was along the route back home. Beshock is located at the mall, so there is a lot of parking, which makes sense how busy it was on a Sunday evening. Interior is very modern and chic. Sat at the bar, but they did not attend to us and attended to other patrons who sat at the bar after us. After 10 minutes, someone finally took our order. Food took a long time to come out. Their ramen and karaaage were okay, nothing noteworthy and definitely not worth the wait. They could definitely improve on their service. If we were not anticipating an hour's drive and were locals here, we would have left after waiting a while to be acknowledged.

This was a good spot for a quick sit down dinner after spending a day at the mall. Service was fine, but nothing too memorable. My daughter loves ramen and wanted to come here. I liked that they had a sushi selection to choose from. Everything was fresh and came out in a timely manner. I'd eat here again when I'm in the area.

My partner and I were visiting friends in Carlsbad and we wanted to eat something quick but filling. It was quite late and we drove around to many places looking for something to eat but most places either had an extremely long wait or they were closed. Stumbled across this ramen shop on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. Upon entering, we were told by the host that there was no wait for the bar so we opted to sit there and we were seated immediately! There are some tables too but I think it was a few minutes wait. While we were seated, it was clear that it was a very busy Friday night but the staff here are extremely efficient! We ordered some pork chashu buns (not pictured) as well as ramen. The food came out piping hot. Honestly, the food was pretty standard in terms of taste-it got the job done with what we were looking for. But again, shout out to the staff for their hard work and efficiency during our meal. :)

We love the Ramen here! It was super good, it had so much flavor! The service was fast and great too! We will definitely be coming back!

I came here for H/H with a friend. The staff were pretty friendly and attentive. The drinks were surprisingly good. I didn't try the ramen but based on my friend cleaning the plate, I'd have to say it was delicious. The prices were decent, so I'd most likely will be back soon.

Spicy miso ramen and Nagoya chicken karaage

This place is on the outside of the mall, it took me awhile to find it because I was walking around inside looking for it. LOL. Went on Christmas Eve expecting it to be busy but found a spot at the bar as I was dining by myself. Super friendly and attentive staff, which I loved. I got a delicious cocktail to start while I browsed the menu. The waitress recommended the spicy miso ramen and I got the Nagoya karaage chicken. Both were so delicious and the spicy miso wasn't as spicy as it sounds, just had the perfect amount of kick. The Nagoya chicken had a sweet and spicy sauce that was mild and not overpowering. Overall I would recommend this spot to any ramen lover out there.

Black Ramen.
Ricardo M.

Tried out this ramen place at the mall for the first time during my lunch break. The service was very fast which helps when you're in a time crunch. I got the black ramen and it was pretty good. I really liked the broth flavor but the noodle texture was a bit too chewy for my preference. They have multiple other things on the menu that looked tasty so I will definitely be back.

Alfred R.

A must-stop every time we're in San Diego!!! After a letdown at a hyped-up ramen spot in Century City; Beshock once again reminded us what flavorful broth should taste like - whether it's the rich Nagoya Tonkotsu, the bold Tonkotsu Black, or the kick from the Spicy Miso. The noodles? Yummy texture every time. It's easily our go-to favorite in-state, just shy of our top out-of-state pick. Not to forget the Nagoya-style karaage - juicy, tender, and exactly how traditional Japanese fried chicken should be... The gyoza? Delicious with a savory filling accented by the sauce. And of course, a shoutout to Alyzza, our server, who somehow remembers us even though we only swing by once a year. Service like that deserves an extra tip - gladly given!

Good to the last top.

The restaurant is small, cozy, welcoming and aesthetically pleasing. It isn't well suited for larger parties as most tables are tables for 2 unless tables are pushed together. They do have patio seating and heaters outside, but it didn't appeal to me being so close to the street/loud traffic. Gabriel checked us in, seated us, took our order, served our food and waited on us for majority of our visit, I would give him 10 stars just on his impeccable service. The food though? The food was AMAZING!! Everything we ordered was the best we have ever had anywhere. The buns were very kawaii (and we ordered ever single one to try). The fillings were savory, but we also loved their seasonal panda bun with ube filling while the kids preferred the nutella bunny. Best chicken karaage we've had by far, the coating almost tasted like it was rolled in kinako powder. The ramen broth was "chef's kiss" with so much flavors, the crab rangoon were jumbo and the filling was delicious, but the chicken katsu was also the best we have had anywhere (including Hawaii). The breading was just top tier crunchy while the chicken was thick and juicy. There isn't one bad thing I could say about this place, from the service to the food, I would make the drive out here again. Super duper, highly recommend, don't sleep on this little place, you'll regret it!

The place wasn't too busy but had decent reviews, so we decided to give it a try (for the win!). They were able to accommodate our large group with seating, which was really appreciated. Once we sat down and placed our orders, things initially seemed fine. But then the service slipped. When I asked for water, they only brought out three cups, just for the kids. We had to ask multiple times before my wife and I finally got ours. Most of the food arrived, but my eldest daughter's meal was completely missing. After we inquired, it took another 15 minutes for it to come out. It really felt like they had forgotten half our order. The fried rice and broth arrived even later. On the positive side, the food tasted fresh and was genuinely good overall. What really stood out negatively, though, was the staff's response every time we said "thank you." Instead of "you're welcome" or "no problem," it was always just "Yep!" It came across as dismissive and disrespectful. While the food was solid, the service and basic human interaction need real improvement. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll probably look for other options.
