    Banzai Ramen
    Joyce L.

One of my fav spots in North County! If you're looking for a spot where you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, Teri Cafe is it. Everything here is fresh, made-to-order, and packed with flavor. Whether you're craving sushi, noodles, or classic teriyaki, this place consistently delivers. I love coming here for their Banzai Ramen. It's loaded with grilled chicken, veggies, noodles swimming in a rich and savory broth. If you want spice, ask for the schichimi togarashi (Japanese red pepper). If you're carb conscious, try the Banzai Vegetables (everything in the ramen minus the noodles and broth). Teri Cafe delivers every single time. If you're in the neighborhood, give this place a try!

First time here. Very popular place! Lots of customers enjoying their lunch. When you first walk in before sitting to your table, you have to order your entree. (Cafeteria Style) As for me, I just didn't have time to really look at the menu carefully. I didn't want to take too long cuz there's a long line behind me. At least I know now I will look at the menu carefully online before coming back. I ordered Fried Katsu Chicken w/eggs and rice. It was so yummy delicious!! They have available for outdoor dining which I thought was so cool!!

Teri Cafe is our favorite place for solid teriyaki chicken! Easily the best in the area - every order has been so satisfying and filling. I often call to request no side salads (regular and potato) due to a dairy and egg allergy and the staff member went above and beyond to ensure they got it right. They read the order back and kindly asked if I was sure there wasn't anything else I needed to modify. They even double confirmed upon pick up that it was all rice and no salads due to the allergy. Thank you for a safe and delicious meal!

CHICKEN TERIYAKI (4.5 stars) - FOOD: deicious - PRICE: affordable - SERVICE: good - AMBIANCE: average diner like eatery Came and conquered! It's difficult finding a good teriyaki that's not connected to a bento box. They full on server those really good teriyaki plates that are hard to fine. Upon arrival the place looked popular with local Oceanside residence. Order at the front counter and food will be delivered to the table within 10 minutes. :: FOOD :: Chicken Teriyaki PLATE ($14) - chicken teriyaki, rice, green salad, and potato salad. Went for the plate instead of the bowl and the portions were massive. You can tell the kitchen just cooked the meal and no item has been sitting out. The chicken teriyaki was nicely grilled, sliced, and marinated in the sauce. The teriyaki wasn't too thick, nor runny, and the protein was not swimming in it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MANZANITA SOL APPLE SODA - this was the first time having apple soda and it was yummy. I usually don't drink soda with heavy meals but this didn't give me the burpies or gerb. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I can't wait to come back (or try their other location down an exit). Until the next review...

A should be staple for anyone in oside/vista at the very least. Obviously if you know you know, but if it has to be said, Teri Cafe is always the best. No one beats their selection, prices, and vibes. My go-to is the teriyaki chicken bowls. They just make it perfect, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Really easy to order ahead and take your food to go or to find seating in their restaurant. This location has a large outdoor patio and lots of booths and tables inside. Super easy to find parking in the plaza too.

After so many years I'm still loving their teriyaki weekend dinner combo specials. They have the best macaroni potato salad! My hubby loves the miso soup! And our son loves the ca roll! I also love getting their hand rolls every kind of fish we order is really fresh! I have also been really loving their salmon poke bowl. Usually I get their Oceanside poke bowl that one is yummy too. Go run and try it now!

I used to live down here almost 2 decades ago now and Teri Cafe was a go-to then. I'm so glad to see that they are still in business and providing just as good food! I hope that they keep thriving so that I can keep coming back. Super quick food, but mighty delicious!

This place is such a fun spot for good Japanese food with a Hawaiian vibe. Your order before you're seated and they have the food coming out fast. It's impressive. Everyone is super kind and attentive. I even forgot my purse hanging off the back of my chair and one of the employees noticed and kept it at the front counter for me until I returned. Not a thing was missing. But besides that the food is delicious here and you won't be disappointed! The portions are great for the price too.

It's an open space with tables and chairs and some booths. The place is brightly lit and doesn't have a true ambiance I felt to it. Just some things here and there. Felt more like a cafeteria. The staff were all nice and helpful. You order your food at the counter and then you sit down. The staff do check in though, which was nice. The food I felt was good but mediocre. Nothing to write home about or tell people "you have to try this place!" The prices are fair however.

This is a really great sushi/ Hawaiian spot right off the freeway. They're open later than other dinner spots and it's a pay and seat yourself establishment. The cashiers and servers were polite and our food came very quickly (we came late at night so it wasn't very busy.) There is inside and outside seating and the inside decor is very cute. Our meals were really good, I especially liked my poke bowl/ Oceanside bowl which came with soy sauce but I ended up not using it because the fish was seasoned well. They also have the canned Hawaiian soft drinks which I love. I would definitely go again to try some of their other sushi/ seafood options!

I have eaten at Teri Cafe for a while now. I used to not like it so much but it was at least consistent. I recently went and was very please with my meal and the price. I got the Chicken Breast plate and could not believe the amount of food for $18. Plus, even though it is quick serve, the employees were visibly walking around making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely heading back there soon.

First time visiting this spot. I ordered the chicken and beef teriyaki plate with fried shrimp ($18). It's an order-at-the-counter setup -- I was given a number and the food came out very quickly. Portions were generous, and the Asian salad dressing was some of the best I've had. The chicken was tender, and in hindsight I wish I had upgraded to fried rice for the extra $2. I also ordered a spicy tuna roll ($9). The tuna tasted good with soy sauce, but two of the pieces lacked any spice and were mostly greens. The potato salad on the plate was bland, and I'd recommend skipping it. The restroom was spacious, but there was toilet paper scattered on the floor, suggesting maintenance could be improved. Overall, I left satisfied and would return -- just not for the potato salad.

For some of the best ramen that Oceanside has to offer, I recommend The Wu Lan Ramen located in the Plaza Del Oro Shopping Center, just south of the 76 Hwy. It's hidden behind the 24 Hour Fitness and CVS. The plaza has limited parking, but it isn't typically too crowded and you should be able to find parking in front of this family-owned ramen restaurant. They have a quaint and trendy ambiance and they placed a lot of care into their anime murals, which lends to a "whimsical" vibe. It's a nice blend of traditional elements & colors and modern (kawaii) accents. The interior is also spacious and has great seating for groups and is also good for couples too. Enjoy table seating or better-yet at their bar seating and you can chat with the friendly staff! They have a "staple menu" that is written in chalk on a board and then there's their menu that is very diverse. They also have a great Happy Hour menu with items priced below $8, including sake! I enjoy their pan-fried gyoza, salted edamame, miso soup, firecracker shrimp, fried calamari, chicken karaage and most other delicious dishes. Their sushi menu is also high quality grade and I feel is often overlooked and underrated. But their ramen is what shines the most! There are so many styles & varieties! There's a lot to customize and their broth is amazing! There are many tasty bowls, desserts and don't forget to grab a sake or a craft beer! I recommend checking Wu Lan Ramen the next time you're looking for some authentic ramen or sushi in the north side of Oceanside.

Yelp! review #15 of 2026 Visit on 16 March…read more Dropped in around 7pm with a party of 9, including several meat eaters and one vegan friend. The place wasn't too busy but had decent reviews, so we decided to give it a try (for the win!). They were able to accommodate our large group with seating, which was really appreciated. Once we sat down and placed our orders, things initially seemed fine. But then the service slipped. When I asked for water, they only brought out three cups, just for the kids. We had to ask multiple times before my wife and I finally got ours. Most of the food arrived, but my eldest daughter's meal was completely missing. After we inquired, it took another 15 minutes for it to come out. It really felt like they had forgotten half our order. The fried rice and broth arrived even later. On the positive side, the food tasted fresh and was genuinely good overall. What really stood out negatively, though, was the staff's response every time we said "thank you." Instead of "you're welcome" or "no problem," it was always just "Yep!" It came across as dismissive and disrespectful. While the food was solid, the service and basic human interaction need real improvement. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll probably look for other options.

I always enjoy dining there with my family because they have good food that we can all enjoy together. Every year for my birthday I go to Gonzo! I simply love eating at Gonzo. First of all, I can't get over how scrumptious their food is, it is so tasty and packed with flavor. If you stand in line to order, as soon as you sit down you will have already been served. I don't know how Gonzo prepares their meals so fast, yet so delicious. Also the fact that they cook their food fresh daily is crazy to me. I've been to many ramen restaurants and no one compares to Gonzo's. My go to on the menu is the tonkotsu ramen with gyoza and chicken karaage. Gonzo also offers a very unique atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in Japan. They have waving cats, a big banana neon light, posters and a floating ball on top of the water station. The ball is so cool but I am still puzzled on how it works. Their decor can not be matched. They also have a TV that is always playing Anime. You can also sit inside or outside so if you feel like sitting inside, sit inside but if you want to sit outside, sit outside. Gonzo also does not offer reservations so there is always a place to sit. If there is nowhere to sit just get It to go, truly there is no other ramen stop better than Gonzo. Lastly, the people there are super nice, and always check up on you, they are very polite, and they always say your welcome. While you wait, you can enjoy your appetizers until your main meal arrives. Also if you ask them for a free ticket to their store, they will give you one, each member of the family gets one. You can go next door and trade them in for tokens, these tokens can be used to play claw machines so you can win stuff. But what tops that off is that all of the employees are welcoming and happy. Gonzo Ramen is the best restaurant in the world. They offer good food, an amazing atmosphere and the people there are super nice not to mention the location is very conveniently located near my house. I seriously think about Gonzo all the time.
