Salmon poke bowl

After so many years I'm still loving their teriyaki weekend dinner combo specials. They have the best macaroni potato salad! My hubby loves the miso soup! And our son loves the ca roll! I also love getting their hand rolls every kind of fish we order is really fresh! I have also been really loving their salmon poke bowl. Usually I get their Oceanside poke bowl that one is yummy too. Go run and try it now!

OH-EM-GEE!! The best teriyaki dish we've had so far!! The prices are reasonable, the serving sizes are great--OVERALL! **chefs kiss** Seeing how much our littles enjoyed their food was all we needed. We definitely will be coming back--S O O N!

A should be staple for anyone in oside/vista at the very least. Obviously if you know you know, but if it has to be said, Teri Cafe is always the best. No one beats their selection, prices, and vibes. My go-to is the teriyaki chicken bowls. They just make it perfect, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Really easy to order ahead and take your food to go or to find seating in their restaurant. This location has a large outdoor patio and lots of booths and tables inside. Super easy to find parking in the plaza too.

CHICKEN TERIYAKI (4.5 stars) - FOOD: deicious - PRICE: affordable - SERVICE: good - AMBIANCE: average diner like eatery Came and conquered! It's difficult finding a good teriyaki that's not connected to a bento box. They full on server those really good teriyaki plates that are hard to fine. Upon arrival the place looked popular with local Oceanside residence. Order at the front counter and food will be delivered to the table within 10 minutes. :: FOOD :: Chicken Teriyaki PLATE ($14) - chicken teriyaki, rice, green salad, and potato salad. Went for the plate instead of the bowl and the portions were massive. You can tell the kitchen just cooked the meal and no item has been sitting out. The chicken teriyaki was nicely grilled, sliced, and marinated in the sauce. The teriyaki wasn't too thick, nor runny, and the protein was not swimming in it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MANZANITA SOL APPLE SODA - this was the first time having apple soda and it was yummy. I usually don't drink soda with heavy meals but this didn't give me the burpies or gerb. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I can't wait to come back (or try their other location down an exit). Until the next review...

This place is such a fun spot for good Japanese food with a Hawaiian vibe. Your order before you're seated and they have the food coming out fast. It's impressive. Everyone is super kind and attentive. I even forgot my purse hanging off the back of my chair and one of the employees noticed and kept it at the front counter for me until I returned. Not a thing was missing. But besides that the food is delicious here and you won't be disappointed! The portions are great for the price too.

This is a really great sushi/ Hawaiian spot right off the freeway. They're open later than other dinner spots and it's a pay and seat yourself establishment. The cashiers and servers were polite and our food came very quickly (we came late at night so it wasn't very busy.) There is inside and outside seating and the inside decor is very cute. Our meals were really good, I especially liked my poke bowl/ Oceanside bowl which came with soy sauce but I ended up not using it because the fish was seasoned well. They also have the canned Hawaiian soft drinks which I love. I would definitely go again to try some of their other sushi/ seafood options!

It's an open space with tables and chairs and some booths. The place is brightly lit and doesn't have a true ambiance I felt to it. Just some things here and there. Felt more like a cafeteria. The staff were all nice and helpful. You order your food at the counter and then you sit down. The staff do check in though, which was nice. The food I felt was good but mediocre. Nothing to write home about or tell people "you have to try this place!" The prices are fair however.

I have eaten at Teri Cafe for a while now. I used to not like it so much but it was at least consistent. I recently went and was very please with my meal and the price. I got the Chicken Breast plate and could not believe the amount of food for $18. Plus, even though it is quick serve, the employees were visibly walking around making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely heading back there soon.

Ordered to go salmon plate which is my favorite. Like their menu. Quality food. My favorite to go food place!

Why is there fake grass on this plate? Pointless. Imagine this photo without it... would look the same.
Mitchell C.

As much as I like Teri Cafe, one thing that has always bothered me is the fake plastic grass they add to every sushi plate. Why is their plastic touching my food? Simply for decoration? Teri could save the money by not buying this stupid fake plastic grass. It doesn't look good, it DEFINITELY doesn't taste good lol, so why is it there? It CHEAPENS the dish rather than enhancing it. Nobody will care if it's gone. Customers won't say "Hey, this sushi is worse now that the plastic grass is gone!" Ridiculous. Get rid of the fake plastic grass at all your restaurants and I'll get rid of my 1 star reviews.

For some of the best ramen that Oceanside has to offer, I recommend The Wu Lan Ramen located in the Plaza Del Oro Shopping Center, just south of the 76 Hwy. It's hidden behind the 24 Hour Fitness and CVS. The plaza has limited parking, but it isn't typically too crowded and you should be able to find parking in front of this family-owned ramen restaurant. They have a quaint and trendy ambiance and they placed a lot of care into their anime murals, which lends to a "whimsical" vibe. It's a nice blend of traditional elements & colors and modern (kawaii) accents. The interior is also spacious and has great seating for groups and is also good for couples too. Enjoy table seating or better-yet at their bar seating and you can chat with the friendly staff! They have a "staple menu" that is written in chalk on a board and then there's their menu that is very diverse. They also have a great Happy Hour menu with items priced below $8, including sake! I enjoy their pan-fried gyoza, salted edamame, miso soup, firecracker shrimp, fried calamari, chicken karaage and most other delicious dishes. Their sushi menu is also high quality grade and I feel is often overlooked and underrated. But their ramen is what shines the most! There are so many styles & varieties! There's a lot to customize and their broth is amazing! There are many tasty bowls, desserts and don't forget to grab a sake or a craft beer! I recommend checking Wu Lan Ramen the next time you're looking for some authentic ramen or sushi in the north side of Oceanside.

They are generous with their vegetable portions, and the broth is very easy on the palette. :) I accompanied my ramen with a drink and appetizer. I would say Gonzo does the toppings very well. The highlight was the chashu. The broth flavor was great, very deep, but personally I like mine a bit thicker, 8/10. If you like a thinner tonkatsu, this may be your favorite. The noodles were also very firm. This is a long review so if you are here for my experience at rosewood, scroll to the second…read moreparagraph, if you'd like to read everything (which I encourage), please do. Firstly, was appalled to see that this negative Nancy, supposedly a "regular", was operating at a 'lightbulb-in-a-power-outage' level of thinking." Just wanted to clarify, as someone who comes to rosewood a couple times a month, and always had such a wonderful time. Before i get into my review (second paragraph), I'd like to share some of my critical thinking skills with the few that decided to leave subpar reviews about this establishment. 1: The sidewalk is PUBLIC, everybody has the right to be on PUBLIC property, even the homeless. No one can tell anyone to leave if they are on public property, even if they are in front of a business, simple logic. 2: This is a small business, so what they charge a dollar for an ounce of their delicious sauce, small profit margins = can't cut corners as much as large cooperations, common sense. 3: There's different music every night, that attracts crowds of ethnicities, race, sex, etc., can't be u happy when a certain class of people show up wanting to listen to music. And my last point before I actually give my review; 4: This is Oceanside, you cannot go a single day without witnessing some homeless people doing weird or crazy stuff! This isn't La Jolla. If you are supposedly a "regular", one bad experience, that is out of the owner's hands, shouldn't cause you to have such a tantrum. Now while everyone has a right to their own opinion, let's use critical thinking and common sense before we bash a small, family business. Review: Rosewood, the few times I have been, have been exceptional. While the ramen may be bland a couple of times, let the owner know, as he always welcomes feedback! Other than some little bumps, the owner (Josh), is a one man show running this business. We've been here a few times when it was busy and he always tried his best to keep cool, even while serving, bussing and pouring drinks meanwhile the restaurant is full of people. If you're coming here for the ramen, you can't go wrong with the basic miso. It comes with pork and you could add chicken to it for $5 dollars. The J3, which is a mix of the house made, red and white sangria is TO DIE FOR. Additionally, the dirty bird fries, and the filet mignon with noodles (which I had on two separate occasions), were just as beautifully prepared and delicious as they looked on the menu. The ambience, it exceptionally beautiful. There is art surrounding the whole restaurant, with even a gallery that leads you to the restrooms, definitely would come in, just to check out the artwork. We came on a Sunday, so a slower day, and there was this band named "FNK" that was playing... WONDERFUL. They played some cover songs and sang especially well. Enjoyed every song they played. The service, was amazing as always, with Diego taking our orders and being prompt with what we needed. Overall, experience at rosewood so far has been nothing but excellent. Don't let all these negative reviews fool you. You can't come to a small business expecting perfection every single time, especially if it's the first time. 10/10!

We were trying to find a place that was a midway point between Temecula and San Diego to meet up…read morewith a friend. We settled on Oceanside in hopes of finding good food, as our weekend (end of Feb) had been full of a poor results. This place came up as very well rated on Yelp, as my friend and I searched for places to eat. It was a Saturday night with great weather. The red flag I should have read into was that the lone guy working that night was a one man show. He was doing it all in the front of the house. I tried to get us a table to sit outdoors but he just couldn't get to the table to clean it. After about 20 minutes he finally came and just moved all the bowls to the empty table next to it and wiped it down. When my friends finally arrived we all sat down to sticky menus that had NO descriptions. What you see on the website is exactly what they have on the menu. We had to wait to ask the server/host what each menu item meant. It took a while to get our food from when we ordered. Thank goodness for good company, I didn't clock it. The food options were limited and keep in mind for those who have children, most of the options come with a spicy kick, you'll have to explicitly tell them "no spicy"! There was a party who had been sitting for a while before we got there and a kiddo took a bite of pizza and was crying, screaming from it being so spicy. With my ramen the portions are tiny for what you pay, with 1 piece of meat, not enough noodles. Flavor wise it was spicy and bland. We ordered a couple appetizers which were not very good. The edamame was overly salty and soaked in soy sauce and the karaage was probably the only good thing and that was a little overfried. No one in our party finished our food or took any of the leftovers home. Save yourself the trip, not worth trying the "unique foods".

And said welcome for two? have that table right there! I was shocked, immediately feeling more than welcome. So now my hopes were high. Ordered the pork fried rice, house pho, and lotus stem salad with shrimp. Where to begin my goodness, I'm salivating writing this review only one day later. Let's start with the salad, never would I order this in my life but my girl knows her Asian cuisine very well, it was the first thing she picked. And my god, freaking unbelievable every bite I had was so so tasty! That dressing is incredible along with the onions, I don't know what they do to them but man oh man they were delightful. Now the pork fried rice, what a hit! The pork is sliced so unbelievably thin and with so much flavor too, and the fried rice was all very good. Definitely not the best fried rice I've had but it was still quite tasty, I feel it was just slightly on the dry side for a fried rice. But flavor was very tasty and some bites were not dry. And the pho!! Kabang, another hit!!! The broth, noodles, everything. And they serve it with beans sprouts and jalapeno which is a must add!! The crunchiness from the bean sprouts ties the whole bowl together! Will I be back is not even a question one should ask. Boy am I glad to have tried this place!!! 9.5/10 Lost .5 points because of the fried rice. What a beautiful spot!!! Apologies for no pictures I tend to forget when on a date.
