Friendly staff both on the phone and in the restaurant. I called for pick up and the employee helped me very quickly and well. I got the Veggie roll, avocado roll, crunchy shrimp tempura roll, and eel roll for $58 Very filling and big rolls with lots of meat and rice. I don't love a HUGE roll and that is only reason for the 4 star review. Everything was fresh and flavorful but it was almost too big. I was driving through and stopped at the Marshals across the way, felt a little hungry and grabbed a poke bowl to go from Super Sushi. Honestly, my socks were KNOCKED OFF! One of the best poke bowls I have ever had. It was such a great price for an insane amount of food. So shocked. It was fast and fresh! Probably took maybe 5 minutes to get after ordering. Great selection of sushi and huge portions. Service was wonderful with water glasses always full. Favorite roll was honey honey. Sweet, savory and warm topped with fried onions! Server recommended the special "pop" roll, another winner with fried popcorn shrimp and ponzu sauce on top of a California roll with very spicy jalapeños! Finally, a huge serving of pork katsu with a generous portion of rice, green salad and tasty potato salad. We shared it between three of us. I want to say I eat here every other week at minimum! I'm obsessed with their deep fried jalapeño roll, which is exactly what it sounds like (delicious). The Okinawa roll is also amazing and everything always tastes fresh. My 2 year old enjoys their orange chicken and could finish the whole bowl, it definitely tastes different from anyone else's I've tried. Wow! I ordered a Teriyaki Chicken & Beef Bowl for lunch delivery and for some reason I had low expectations. I felt like Super Sushi just specialized in sushi. Boy was I wrong. The bowl was bursting at the seams it was so packed! Ton of meat, cabbage, and rice! Even had big chunks of broccoli and carrots. Amazing value and couldn't even finish in one sitting it was so filling. They provided two teriyaki sauce containers which was very generous. It reminded me of Flame Broiler but better! I am a regular customer and I've brought friends who like it too. It isn't just sushi (although I do love the Rainbow roll); they also have great tempura and combination dinners too. The teriyaki salmon is perfectly cooked. The combo meal includes miso soup, a good salad, a California roll and potato salad as well as the meat and white rice (fried rice for an extra charge). Let me start by saying, I have been eating sushi at the same restaurant for the past 10+ years. Swore that I'd never replace "my spot" for any other. I've of course gone to many other restaurants but never liked them enough to go back, that's until I came to Super Sushi .Please don't get me wrong all of those sushi experiences prior to this sushi experience were good. However... This experience was unlike anything I'd ever experienced before. Been coming here for the past 4-5 months and never went back to "my spot". Sitting at the bar and telling the chef Miguel or Berna my dislikes or likes and them preparing rolls I would have never thought to order and end up LOVING. Their attention to detail the quality of Fish, fresh ingredients andthe adventurous spirit of the Chefs Miguel and Berna has been such a mind bending experience each and every time... It feels like a hidden gem that when given the opportunity will blow your taste buds away, but in a great way. I really enjoyed my sushi here but the last time I came to pick up my order, why did the cashier ask me for proof of my order after I gave her my name? Is this protocol? I'm not picking up a door dash. Also, how would I guess my name as an order in the system. The logic makes absolutely no sense at all. I think I've ordered from here around ten to a dozen times. I just can't get myself to order from here ever again bc that is just so rude. I'm not sure if that was her idea or if the cashiers are told to do this? I just happened to guess Tajuana as the pick up name. I surely let her know how rude that was and just took my order. These businesses think they can treat people like dirt just bc they sell something that you want, when there is a new place popping up all the time. It's called customer service and this is just beyond rude. Love this roll I get, I cannot remember the name bc I typically just push the reorder button. One star only because the udon was decent Everything else? Trash. * Water was warm, no ice. * Bones in the sushi--how does that even happen? * Ginger tasted old, and the sushi itself was mushy, bland, and clearly frozen, not fresh. * Shrimp tempura wasn't crispy, just soggy and sad. * Calamari? Rubbery, chewy, and falling apart, like the breading didn't even try. * The only thing good was the udon, but when we asked for another one without the mountain of salad on top, they brought it the same way anyway--and this second bowl didn't even taste the same. Tasted bad, honestly. Now let's talk service: There were four servers, and still no one paid attention. Had to ask for water. One guy spent more time flirting with another server, while the other one was busy talking story with his girlfriend who just came to hang out. Meanwhile, two cooks in the front were just standing around playing dress-up, while the actual cooking seemed to be happening in the back. Everything that was supposed to be crispy was soggy, everything that should've been fresh tasted old or frozen. Nothing hit right. Save your money. Go somewhere that actually respects good food and your time. read more

Extremely generous rolls. Couldn't even finish one! But the rolls themselves are extremely average and some were not good at all. Texas Roll: HUGE ROLL omg. Couldn't even fit an individual piece in my mouth which I personally don't enjoy. I think a sushi roll should be of a size that fits your mouth so you can enjoy every flavor in each bite. Flavors were good tho. Best roll out of the three I tried. Crunchy onion topping, decent steak, and shrimp tempura. 4/5 Calamari Roll: Calamari is a bit too hard. And flavors were a bit too cream cheesy? Even though there isn't cream cheese listed in its description on the menu. 2.5/5 Super Sushi Roll: Sauce was delicious! But salmon tasted watery.. 2/5 Garlic Edamame: extremely garlicky!! 3.5/5 Service was friendly! Note: most of the rolls had cream cheese in their description on the menu which I think should have been the tell tale sign that it was not a good place to check out for sushi Anyway, definitely wouldn't recommend coming here if you want good sushi read more

Visited here while on vacation and wanted sushi for takeout. Walked in and was able to order right away and was told it would take about 15 minutes. It wasn't very busy and it was less than 15 minutes before we got out takeout. I ordered the platter A, a hand roll California roll and a side of rice. The hand roll California roll stole the show. It was phenomenal! The other rolls were pretty comparable to every other sushi place - nothing special. The service was nice and fast and the place looked clean and had cute decor. They did have a lot of other options on their menu I would want to come back and try next time! I also enjoyed that some of the menu items had pictures too. read more

Good stuff: friendly, accommodating with our last minute late evening group, giant roles. Not so good: woke to food poisoning and yes could have only been from here!! End i'd evening fish perhaps out too long or the bare hands as they make the rolls. The worst Grubhub from here ever!! It was supposed to be a 30 minute delivery. The time change 2 more times after that. The egg rolls were cold and soggy. We ordered Super Sushi through Uber eats, and it did not disappoint! The serving sizes we received were SO big and for a reasonable price. My fiancé thought it was one of the top sushi places he has ever had (and that is saying something!). I am really happy they had non-seafood items as well! Was disappointed with this restart. I don't eat fish and I love vegetable sushi so I decided to try this place. I got the veggie roll with no lettuce and it was good. They didn't have a shrimp sauce or yum yum sauce which I usually prefer. I ordered a chicken teriyaki kids meal with fried rice. The chicken wasn't my favorite thing. I couldn't even eat it. The sauce came on the side which is nice so you can add it on how you like. The rice was very bland. I didn't even get the ice cream with the kids meal and I did ask for it because my experience was already not great. read more

I don't know how Gonzo prepares their meals so fast, yet so delicious. Also the fact that they cook their food fresh daily is crazy to me. I've been to many ramen restaurants and no one compares to Gonzo's. My go to on the menu is the tonkotsu ramen with gyoza and chicken karaage. Gonzo also offers a very unique atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in Japan. They have waving cats, a big banana neon light, posters and a floating ball on top of the water station. You can also sit inside or outside so if you feel like sitting inside, sit inside but if you want to sit outside, sit outside. Gonzo also does not offer reservations so there is always a place to sit. If there is nowhere to sit just get It to go, truly there is no other ramen stop better than Gonzo. Gonzo Ramen is the best restaurant in the world. Anyhow, I was able to find street parking and walked into a clean dining space with a nice atmosphere. It wasn't too busy. Again, the staff was very attentive and provided stellar service. My food came out pretty fast. I loooved how my Drunken Noodles had the right amount of chicken and peanuts. Overall, another fun flavorful time. I'm still a Harumama fan. We had to ask multiple times before my wife and I finally got ours. Most of the food arrived, but my eldest daughter's meal was completely missing. After we inquired, it took another 15 minutes for it to come out. It really felt like they had forgotten half our order. The fried rice and broth arrived even later. On the positive side, the food tasted fresh and was genuinely good overall. What really stood out negatively, though, was the staff's response every time we said "thank you." Instead of "you're welcome" or "no problem," it was always just "Yep!" It came across as dismissive and disrespectful. While the food was solid, the service and basic human interaction need real improvement. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll probably look for other options.

I want to start by saying that I very much enjoyed eating at Tabu Shabu. It's very fair to state…read morethat my three star experience is mostly my own doing more so than the restaurant itself. Our server was fantastic, the setup clean, and the menu was fairly easy to navigate. Where it fell apart for me all came after that. This is not my style of cooking. So many places I've been to, where you cook your own food on a grill or hot plate at your table, you're mainly dealing with thin cuts of meat, salt and pepper, and possibly a dipping sauce. This makes the cooking simple, a quick sear, a light crust on the beef or pork, and the finished product is basic and delicious. Shabu, though ... it's boiled meat. That's not to say that Tabu Shabu isn't good, but unless you're really adept at making soups, it's easy to be completely out of your element. And I can safely say I was a bit over my head at this restaurant. You start with your broth, where I am ashamed to admit that instead of opting for the Tonkostu with its deep and rich fatty flavor, I chose the basic umami of the White Miso. Because of that, I spent most of my meal mistakenly chasing flavors I would normally find in a Ramen Shop. They give you a plate of chopped herbs to add and some basic instructions ... I like garlic, so I added the whole thing, radish sound alright, so add in the whole ball, what was the last thing I put in? They give you a few squeeze bottles of oils with paper labels ... this one makes it more sour, this one makes it more spicy, this one has sesame, and I'm too timid to add enough of any to truly add to the flavor of the broth, so it just keeps that basic umami flavor without being as salty as it should be. Then you have a plate of vegetables to steep in your creation. Cabbage, broccoli, spinach, bok choy, tofu ... all of it serves as a way of soaking up that broth you've made. Other options, like the carrots, mushrooms, and squash, become sweet and tender after taking their turns in the pot. And they're nice as they offer a different flavor other than that umami. And then there's the meat. A wide variety of options ranging from salmon, to chicken, to pork, all the way down to multiple versions of beef. But, all of the meats we ordered seem to differ only in texture after spending some time in that broth. Some fell apart on the tongue, some still had a nice chew, but all shared that umami from the pot, with an aftertaste of beefy flavor before swallowing. After a few initial pieces, I found myself thankful for the dipping sauces to distract me from how boring I had made my broth to be. You also get a choice of rice, which I don't think you really need. You get a choice of noodles, which they give you a good amount where it doesn't fill you up with carbs. And anything left over is readily bagged up to eat at home after the flavors mix together and mature. In the end, it's a very filling and fairly healthy meal. I think it's difficult to not compare this to eating a bowl of Pho or Ramen. All the ingredients are there, just instead of eating it with a spoon, you pull out the individual bits with some chop sticks and pretend you're not eating boiled beef and spinach. If I were a better cook, or had another ten visits worth of practice, Tabu Shabu could easily be 4-5 stars. As it is, though, I think I would rather just go to GONZO and get another chef's creation to be sure of the flavors I want. Regardless, I want to come back here and try again one day. The variety of options and the wait staff alone are enough for me to learn more and expand my Shabu options, as well as recommend this place to others.

I'm a huge fan of sushi but.... If you're craving good fresh fish I would suggest searching else where. I saw a lot of the reviews saying how great this place was so I was eager to try it! I came unknowingly during happy hour which was cool they have a pretty decent happy hour special. So my husband and I tried a few things on the menu for happy hour but I came specifically to have some sushi. We ordered the albacore and the yellow tail. I should have taken a picture of the fish but I didn't because I was pretty disappointed to say the least. The yellow tail cut was terrible with pieces of the fish that shouldn't be on a sushi slice. It looked like there was white gristle chunks in the meat that just wasn't normal and was bleeding just didn't seem right... we didnt eat that piece and I had a half bite of the albacore and it was terribly "fishy" just tasted old and stiff. The yellow tail as well was visually dry and old and we sent both back after trying one bite our appetite was gone... we finished our sake and overcooked Edemame and left. They tried to charge us for both sushi we politely asked to have at least one taken off. They took the cheaper one of the two off but at least we got one removed. Overall I wouldn't return because of the lack of quality of food and atmosphere was a little lacking and I feel like the chefs could use a refresh on how to prepare and keep fish... :( I hope everyone else has a better experience than we did! read more

Seriously, whoever gives it less than 5 stars for the price is ridiculous! The prices are unbeatable. The manager/owner and his wife are always so pleasant. Theres always usually open seating at the bar or booths. Im sure many people see half off sushi or the prices and are a bit apprensive but Id say Im a sushi snob and when I dont to spend an arm and leg on sushi, this has pretty great quality! The sashimi pieces are quite generous and for the quality of fish, the prices are extremely low! I go here about maybe 2 times a week. Time to time when we have friends over, Ill get the party tray its about 20 pieces or something for $20 or something ridiculous like that. It comes with different sushi rolls and you can't even go to ralphs or henries to get a cold, hard, old sushi of 6 pieces for $8 now a days. I hope this place never goes away!!!!!!!!!!!! For the price, the sashimi's fresh, the portions are generous, and you're not going to reach too far in your pocket!! Like Ryan G said, youre a moron if its about customer service and got your panties in a bunch. I LOVE THIS PLACE! It just get's better every time, The sushi chef's are very fast, they all probably work as fast as two people per employee, and that's how they can compete with other Sushi Business, and are able to keep prices at 50% percent off. The fish always, smells very FRESH every time. The Chefs are Bilingual and have more than 10 years experience preparing sushi. I ordered to go tonight. I really wanted the spicy miso ramen this morning (btw if you want spicy ramen order it. It's really good!), I ordered the pork cutlet combo instead. it comes with a rice, potato salad, green salad and CA rolls. The pork is tender and delicious. I ordered my favorite the cream cheese wontons and it was good as I had it before! I also got the shrimp tempura app and my daughter love it, it's her favorite. From the outside it doesn't look good, that is why we had never ventured in. However with the price of sushi and them offering 50% we thought we'd give it a go. The rolls are awesome and the price can't be beaten. The service has always been good and we have been there weekly since we found the place. My 6 year old son loves the Orange chicken .
