First off, Kaylee is one of the seven wonders of Long Island. Running a distant second, the short rib sliders with strawberry field salad was really good. They have a good beer list. I had the wells banana bread on tap which is excellent- if you like beer, banana bread, and walnuts. A smooth, excellent beer. As far as long island drink/eateries, this is a top pick. read more

Did not have a very good experience here. It's nice that there is a second floor but there were way too many people and I could barely get from point a to point b. I stay for one drink and halfway through that a string of gum comes through the straw. Afterwards as I'm waking out I get shoved by the bouncers throwing somebody out then proceed to fight him. I had a surprise party for my husband here and we gave a headcount of between 50-60 people. Luckily for us only 50 showed as there was NOT ENOUGH FOOD. The package includes 3 apps for 3 hours. Luckily I added an additional app, because the trays were only refilled once. There was not even enough food for all my guests to try 1 of each appetizer. It was very embarrassing. The staff quickly cleaned up the empty trays, so even if I wanted to pay for more food it was awkward for my guests who saw the clean up. After paying over $50 a head I was upset about the clear lack of food. To make matters worse I previously emailed the tap room to confirm that the food would be replenished throughout the night. I received a confirmation email that "food would be replenished based on consumption". This was clearly not the case. I am so disappointed as I will never get this day back, i did so much planning to make this night special for my husband and my guests and many went home hungry. One of the major reasons I picked that tap room was because they have good food, yet half my guests were unable to try the food. I am so disappointed and I don't want anyone else to feel this way. read more

Went there on Wing night only to be treated with poor customer service. Didn't feel welcomed. We were a party of 8. Only towards the end of the night when the waitress wanted to go home did she utter a word. First batch of wings were good for all everything after that was burnt. One in our party ordered a burger and it was so dry. Had to keep looking for the waitress to place additional orders. They were not busy at all by the way. Went on a Thursday night with a group of friends. Apparently, on Thursdays they do all you can eat wings for 14 dollars. When we arrived we went to the upstairs dining room to be seated - a lot more of an open feeling than the cramped downstairs dining area. Once we sat down, our waitress took our drink orders pretty quickly and we then ordered our food. Four of the people at my my table ordered wings - but the waitress couldn't give them the all you can eat deal because it wasn't 8 pm yet (when the promo started). She said if they wanted the deal she would have to wait till 8 to put the orders in. It was roughly 7:45 at that point and we were all hungry so my friends ordered the wings at regular price. I ordered the blackened gyro. Food came out pretty quickly but the wings were sub par - don't know if it's because they were rushing or use a cheaper quality on wing night but all my friends thought they tasted hard and previously frozen. However my gyro was good not great. I really wanted a burger but to be honest it would be great for them to switch up the burger menu. read more

Went on a sunday at 5 so it was not crowded at all. Waited at least 10 minutes for some one to come to our table. Our server did not introduce himself, just asked "do you want some drinks." Ordered an appetizer and 2 burgers for entrees. Waited 20 mins with no server in soght to ask about our app. Our app came out with our dinner. My fries we ice cold. Server never apologized, discounted any items, or tried to fixed the problem. Just boxed up the app. Our cocktails ran dry, so did our waters. No one came over for quite some time. Eventually he came back and cleared our plates, cocktail and water glasses. Water was never replaced. We got the bill and waited for him,to come pick it up. He never came but anotger employee ran the card. He never came back to say thank you or have a good night. We were going to ask about the private room,for our rehearsal dinner but decided against it given the lack of attention given totheir customers. Gave it 2 stars bc the burger was goos. Great beer and great place to be later at night. It's a little expensive but the beer is very good and there's a wide variety. Burgers are great and so are the other things on the menu but they don't get as much recognition as the beer. Attracts a great late night crowd between ages 21-26. read more

We go to the Tap Room every Sunday. They have $5 mussels and during football season half price draft beers. Not only are the mussels amazing but its fun because they change the beer menu daily and you never know what surprise you may get to try! Nice atmosphere, plenty of TVs and service is good as well. Great beer selection, young and energetic crowd, friendly staff. The food is consistent, and pretty good quality for the value. Some bartenders here tend to become overwhelmed easily on a busy night, so be prepared to wait for a drink, but it will hopefully be worth the wait to stick around. I don't want anyone else to know about the place but my husband told me If everyone kept them a secret they would go out of business.. Have been going to the tap room for some time now, and it was always good but last night had a terrible experience. My girlfriend and I stopped in for a "quick bite" to eat after she got off work last night (07/02/14). It was moderately busy, maybe even a little slow. We were told to help ourselves to a table and no one checked on us for over 5 minutes (no big deal). We finally got menus, we placed an order for drinks apps and 2 entrees. Our drinks, two beers were delivered promptly. My girlfriend and I usually try a sip of each others drinks, to maximize the variety of beers we have tried. She got the Ithaca Apricot Wheat and I got Founders Oatmeal Stout on Nitro. When I went to taste the Ithaca I took a sniff of the beer and was immediately hit with an unusual off smell, kind of a "cheesy" or sour milk kind of smell. At first I just thought that the Ithaca was a bad beer. She didn't seem to notice and enjoyed the beer so I thought it was just me. As I progressed through my beer which was just OK, I began to notice the same smell in my beer as well. Not sure if it was dirty glassware or unclean beer lines but something was off. I noticed the lacing on my beer was not appearing in rings around the glass but was sticking to random parts of it, thats usually an indication of grime or soap/sanitizer left on the glasses. The food took over 30 minutes (so much for a quick bite), and only came out after my girlfriend complained. The waitress was friendly and apologetic and she said she informed the manager who she said was in her office. I expected that eventually the manager would come out to at least discuss our problems but no. We finished our meals and our check was delivered, the manager never came out of his office, as near as we can tell. Not even a discount or free round for our troubles (although I would have preferred a pleasant dining experience). Also we probably wouldn't have noticed if our food and beverages were good and promptly delivered but the place seems to be kind of falling apart. Torn upholstery on the furniture, cracked and peeling paint/stain walls. Its a shame, this place was so good when it first opened but it seems to have gone down hill rather quickly. Too bad! I doubt we will be going back. read more
