Came here after a yelp event. I had a pretty good time here. The party decided to go to the second floor. It was really woody and pretty upstairs. I appreciate that the bar was not crowded at all. The service was amazing, we had questions about the beers on tap. I got a sour beer, not sure of the name it escapes me now. Very good beer selections and the prices were pretty good. I would like to come back here if I am ever in the area. I'd recommend this place to a group of people. The bathrooms were very clean as well. I feel terrible I never updated my review. The staff is amazing here! Really great and friendly people. Can't say it's the fastest service but usually feels right. I went here with my grandma this time because I was extremely hungry, like starving, it's her first time here. It's not busy at all mabye a few ppl eating. The server and service was nice and patient with me with my speech impediment trying to tell the waitor my order and practicing talking to others more. Didn't rush me. I had the same as all my other visits, American sliders with side of Mac and cheese. I love the cauldron bowl for the Mac and cheese lol I want it as a Halloween decoration! We tried two new items for us tonight, the cheese steak sandwich with clear soup and Cajun fries. Amazing. Can't go wrong with this classic. And the wedge salad was beautifully presented and everything was fresh and mouth watering. I will also ALWAYS brag about this places Brussel sprouts they are literally THE BEST. Tonight a 4 star, normally 5 star. Maybe it's an off day Sunday night. My usual go to was a little disappointing the pita and spinach artichoke dip. The seasoning was definitely changed or just plain wrong tonight. I'm still whining about it. The delivery just didn't work out tonight, clear soup was spilled in the cheesesteak box I think it was too hot for the packaging the top was misshaped... and salad missing the dressing. First visit last night. Not overly crowded at 6pm on a Tuesday (kids eat free). We were greeted shortly after arrival and asked to be sat in the back room to watch hockey. Our server (Antonio?) was very nice. We selected two different margaritas. I asked for the garden margarita which sounded tasty and my buddy got a regular margarita but they both showed up the exact same except mine had a tiny piece of cucumber floating on top. For $15, what a dud of a drink. Tasted like it used city water too. Zero cucumber flavor or anything else that was in the description. For eats, I had the hot honey chicken sandwich which was very tasty but the entire bottom of the bun was sitting in honey so super messy and sticky with every bite. Side house salad was great. My friend had the mussels (they were not able to make any other version but the marinara) and the fried wontons which were very boring with no toppings like the pics here and he found small bone/cartilage in a couple of them. Not fun. He lives local and doesn't plan to return right away. I would come back to try the wings but drink prices were high and I wasn't impressed with the tap list of craft beer for a place called Tap room. I left my purse at your establishment Monday night. When my boyfriend called Tuesday morning to ask if you had it, the staff member who answered didn't even attempt to look. She just said no and hung up immediately. That should have been my first red flag. When I arrived in person Tuesday evening to retrieve it, the entire staff stared at us with obvious hostility from the moment we walked in. I approached the host stand and explained that my AirPods were tracking my purse to this location and I needed it back. He went to get the manager. She came out and immediately knew exactly which purse I was talking about. She described the color and the Hello Kitty keychain attached to it. She saw my purse. She knew exactly what I was looking for. Then she sat at the end of the bar with her employees, talking and stalling for what felt like forever before finally going to the back office. She came out empty handed. She went back to chat with staff again. She handed out a to go order, went back into that room, and came back out with nothing. Again. This back and forth continued until I got fed up and asked the host to tell her to just give me my purse because the delay made no sense. Only after the third trip to the back did she finally hand it over. When I opened it, all of my cash was gone. Not just loose cash, but significant amounts from both my wallet and purse. My ID was also missing. The entire interaction felt orchestrated. The knowing looks between staff, the unnecessary delays, the selective theft. I called the police and filed a report because something was very wrong here. Do not eat here. This place is not safe. read more

Their beer selection was extensive, and the garlic sesame wings were incredibly tender, with a savory, slightly sweet flavor that hit the spot. We also tried the Jameson whiskey burger, which was decent, but we couldn't really taste the whiskey sauce. On the other hand, the bleu cheese burger was a bit better, with a rich, tangy bleu cheese that added a great depth of flavor. The truffle fries that accompanied each burger were absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside and packed with that irresistible truffle aroma. The food at the Tap Room has been mostly very good . There are times it just falls short of consistency and falls to only good. Date night brought my boyfriend and I here. We've been to the Bayshore location and I've been to the Massapequa location. So we knew what to expect. We were greeted upon entering and were told to pick any table we wanted. Our waitress greeted us shortly after we sat down. We started with a banana bread beer and a pumpkin beer. They came out nice and cold. For an appetizer we shared crispy dragon. It was a lightly fried wonton stuffed with chicken and spices and then topped with a siracha sauce and another type sauce. It was very yummy. The appetizer came with four pieces so it was easy to share with the two of us. For my entree I got the chicken ala vodka sandwich. It was very good and sounds as you would except it to taste. While I really enjoyed it, I feel they should step up their game and serve it on garlic bread! I ordered truffle fries with my sandwich. They were very good and not overwhelming with truffle. My boyfriend ordered the shrooms and bulbs burger. It was a burger topped with onions, mushrooms and Swiss cheese. He really enjoyed it. He got cajun fries with his burger. He said the seasoning wa perfect and his fries were evenly spiced. Service was good. Tap Room is definitely in our rotation for when we want to go out. read more

Second time to the Tap Room in Patchogue NY, and once again was not disappointed. Last time I had the tacos, but this time I had the Carolina Chicken Sandwich with the Cajun Fries, and it was sooo good! The chicken had a spicy honey dripping from it and then there was slaw and pickle chunks, giving just enough heat and sweetness to spark your senses, but having the cooling effect of the slaw and pickles to add another layer... It was amazing, and the chicken was so tender and juicy .... What a great sandwich. The fries weren't as spicy as I was expecting but they were crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, just like a good fry should be. The meal was complemented with a NY brew called the Red Sand....a red Irish style ale, it had a good hoppy flavor, with just a bit of bite, but was still easy drinking. Of course the service was stellar! I sat in the back area and thought I would be forgotten, but it wasn't long before my man Kyle was there to give me a water and take my order. He was friendly and attentive...making sure my stay was pleasant and my beer glass was never empty. In fact, everyone I've interacted with in this pub have been great. read more

Very nice place. We had a large group (8) and sat downstairs by the door. They had an upstairs bar with space as well, but we were comfortable. I don't remember our server's name but she was amazing and attentive. All you could ask for from anyone in the industry. This place is really far from me but if I'm ever in Patchogue again I will stop by. Oh, the food. Mahi Mahi tacos were solid. And the drinks were fantastic. I used to LOVE the OG Tap Room a decade ago before the upstairs was built and before they had separate men and women's bathrooms. Then, we had a little falling out bc I felt the menu changed not for the better and the service took a little turn southward. Recently, I have been there several times over the last few months and I am most pleased to say that I have absolutely rekindled my love affair with them and I'm so so pleased. Honestly, I dig it. Came here with a few friends on a Wednesday night, surprisingly busy I might add. Sat down and ordered the Tap Tenders (top seller as advertised on their menu) and a Basil Cooler. My friends ordered the Strawberry Fields salad. Our orders came out relatively quickly. Basil Cooler was alright. Plenty of basil flavor but wish it had more of a punch to it. The tenders themselves were excellent. Really large pieces in a crisp coating. Added boost from an addictive honey mustard. The cajun fries were well seasoned and crisp. Plus, leftovers for lunch, so I'm a happy camper. Friend enjoyed their salad as well. It may be a bit loud, but what else would you expect in a no frills bar? We regularly go to Tap Room and have been customers since day one. Went tonight with friends and had the worst service we have ever had. Both apps and mains came out within 60 seconds of each other. My burger was not cooked as ordered. After we were done eating, we waited no less than 30 minutes for the check. Once we got the check, we put our credit card down and waited at least another 10 minutes before I decided to just pay in cash so we could leave. We had to track the waiter down to give him the cash. I love the Tap Room, but it's going to be a while before I even think about going back. read more

The pricing was reasonable when we first started coming here, but now they are straight up greedy. For instance the chicken avocado wrap was $13 in the past and now they jacked it up by $5.
