Happy St. Patrick's from Shenanigans. Always a crowd pleaser. Food always cooked perfectly. We just watched the parade and, nothing better than being around the local folk. Cold outside but always warm and comfortable inside. MJ got the corned beef and cabbage. I have been here a few times and always get the marinated pub steak. Medium rare and cooked to perfection. We had a few black and tan drinks. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Ronkonkoma. Plenty of parking good, cold beer and good vibes. read more

It's been a minute since I've written a review (okay maybe only a few weeks, but even so). For those interested, my abode location on this lengthy island has shifted from Nassau to Suffolk and so I find myself getting into new food spots and new...Shenanigans (did you see that coming?). This aptly-named little hole-in-the-wall spot was (takeout) dinner for my fiancée, her family, and yours truly about a week or so ago with pleasant results. Shenanigans definitely has that local feel. A kind of business that nobody outside of the area knows, but if you live around these parts, you've been here, had a meal here, or have some kind of story that involves here. I can't say I fall into any of these categories (yet) as the one meal we did have wasn't even in this divey yet welcoming location. I picked up the grub and got that combo of feelings from the booths and high top tables, little gaming screen machines, beer signs, and the whole bar (which takes up most of the space). While waiting, some Led Zeppelin and Hall & Oates played on the digital jukebox (good choices) and the employees were friendly and kept letting me know the food was almost ready (even though it took a little longer than we expected). Most of the customers seemed a little older, but I felt comfortable enough hanging out and could see myself stopping by for Happy Hour at some point down the line. Once the grub had been grabbed, I drove back to open our bounty and found some pretty tasty food. My build-your-own-burger with sautéed mushrooms and onions was solid and the interestingly-cut potato wedges were a perfect side (plus slaw and a pickle). My fiancée also enjoyed her burger and so did her parents. We shared some wings too which were put in a Jack Daniels BBQ sauce. Though they could've used an extra slather, the wings themselves were great. Not too shabby. Overall, I'll say my first experience of Shenanigans was honestly not filled with too much of that word. But hey, that's a good thing in some ways. Though I look forward to getting a chance to find myself in some...you know...here in the future. Glad to get a quality review back on the board at a nice little local spot in my new location. read more

We go here frequently, why? It's a nice cozy place to go to. They have been following covid guidelines and make sure you do too. Masks on, sanitizer on the tables, and signs everywhere. It's a small cozy bar and you won't be forgotten. They have different themed nights. Musingo is my personal favorites plus you get gifts too if you win!! Food is always good typical bar food- you can't go wrong. This time we tried their potato leek soup, pirogies, fried shrimp is always a go to, and flank steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. We had a our grandson's baptism celebration here on Sunday. The food was amazing. Many of our guests complimented on the food. Matt and Brian were amazing. Local pub vibes with good food, nice regulars and staff. Been here dozens of times over the years and have never felt out of place. Quick draw. The French dip and buffalo wrap are my go-tos, but the burger and beer special is perfect for when I'm in the mood.... Oh and the fries are really good. Prices are very fair. Lunch specials are great, and that's my time of day to go out so this place is always an option for that for me. Keep being awesome! read more

So this is a restaurant with a full bar, that accepts credit cards as payment and had it's own parking lot. As you enter you'll notice that they have outdoor seating with a canopy, although they don't allow for smoking. The Bar Area is located in the center of the room with a U-shape to it and the kitchen is located behind it, towards the rear of the building. They offer an ATM, 4 Arcade Games such as Cards and Slots, multiple TV's, TouchTunes, and they play QuickDraw here. Occasionally they'll have live music playing and Trivia Night. There's separate restrooms for men and women. They have a fairly large and diverse menu of food to select from, but the kitchen closes at 9pm. The unique feature to this place is it's wall that are full of hand drawn cartoonish portraits. This place has a fun vibe about it and is worth checking out. read more

Had a good lunch and I may be back...however be careful if you pay with a DEBIT card, they still charged me a service fee of $1.81 when they shouldn't have. I cant stand this new era where businesses feel it to be prudent to pass the buck because they dont want to pay the CC companies for their services...I dont use a CC, I use a debit card and idgaf if it's a $1.81...its my money!! If I dont pay the extra 10 cents for gas using my debit card why are you charging me an extra 3%. You pass it on to me, I pass it on to your server, 17% vs 20%. The food was good, the tap beer okay...liked the place, just annoying that this is the way my 1st experience went. read more

I've lived in this town for almost 20 years but only walked in for the 1st time on Sunday. I was expecting a local hangout but was pleasantly surprised by the place. Standard pub decor and the like, the food was pretty good and the prices were fine. I'll be coming back. read more

Food was okay and service was good. The crowd, however, consisted of many older people. That would have been fine if they were not all racists, with one gentleman saying the following (to patrons' agreement): "Them wetbacks are taking our jobs!" "I'm going to buy Confederate flags and put them all over my yard." "This country ain't free no more. Now you don't serve to gay people and you can get sued for a million bucks!" "He likes black people." "**** it I don't care anymore, I'll vote for Trump. He says things others are afraid to say." Little hole in the wall joint with a friendly vibe. Mostly locals and an older crowd frequent this place. I've never eaten here, only had drinks. No cocktail menu or even "real" wine to choose from, but I understand it's not really that type of bar. Good for simple drinks and catching up with friends. read more

Small place and local crowd. Really didn't expect much and was very much surprised. The food was really excellent. The Reuben sandwich was fresh and delicious. The bratwurst was excellent quality. Cooked well with a nice snap and served with finely shredded sour kraut that was sautéed to be slightly crisp and warm. read more

Want a quick burger and a cold beer, this is the place. Went here after a long day of shoveling snow and was met with a friendly bartender. He took our order and served us drinks super fast. Love this restaurant and the service was EXCELLENT!! I didn't know what to expect when I first came here because bar food can usually be hit or miss but In this case it was a HOME RUN! I got the Reuben sandwich and it was out of this world and my husband got the steak and it was delicious cooked to perfection. The waitress Patty is phenomenal and I recommend asking for her if you go, she's there on Friday and Saturday nights. Patty takes care of us whenever we go there and really goes the extra mile and makes us feel like the restaurant appreciates our patronage. We also do take out once in a while, which is so convenient now that we have a little one at home. The wings, sandwiches and mozzarella sticks are outstanding too! Went for the St Patrick's Day takeout dinner. 2 meals, $37 .00, $45 WITH TIP. Very dissapointed,,,Corned beef overdone, Cabbage (60 % of dish), undercooked and bland. Carrots tasted like they just went in the pot. Potatoes were perfectly cooked, more potatoes less cabbage would have been good. And the soda bread was delicious despite falling apart. Was there this past Sunday to catch the games with some friends. Place was clean and cozy with plenty of TV's. Marge our bartender was friendly, engaging and very attentive. We had a group of 6, sat at the bar, ordered food and beers throughout the game. Service was excellent ! Never had to worry about ordering another round as she was right on top of it. Lobster Bisque, 1lb of snow crab legs ($10), mussels in red or white sauce($8), or for the landlubbers; Half Rack of Ribs($9) or 14oz NY strip with ff's, onion bands and slaw($15). My girlfriend and I were driving through the area and passed by this place and before entering, I searched Yelp and was motivated to visit based on its reviews. We were met by a very friendly woman who sat us in the back away from the bar area. When asked if we'd like a drink, I ordered two New Castles and to our surprise, they had cold ones ready to be served! A real nice start! We ordered two burgers and they were absolutely delicious! Far better than we expected. After we ate, we decided to watch some football and had a seat at the bar. Chuck the bartender served us our drinks and he was friendly, welcoming and extremely affable. I mentioned to him that we found Shenanigans on Yelp and he relayed this to the owner who was sitting across from us. The owner bought us a round of drinks and was also a very friendly person. Overall, this pub experience was very enjoyable. The entire staff was friendly, professional, accommodating and the pub atmosphere is casual, relaxing and fun. It is a great place to watch sports and has many high def large screen tv's throughout the place. If I was a local, Shenanigans would be my local hang out. read more

I stopped going here. The owners changed a bit ago. The worst part is the wench of a waitress and her scowl face that cant get an order right...don't bother saying how you want your burger cooked cause after the eye roll you should just accept the you get what you get attitude.
