Place is a gem! Great beer list, stellar local live music, great menu and a killer vibe.

Service was great! Very attentive wait staff. Food was terrible. Three of us had tacos....one veggie, two others had beef. No lettuce, no tomato, no cheese, no salsa. Nothing. The beef tacos were small soft shells with some beef in them Nothing else. Same on the veggie taco. It seems like they left the kitchen before they were finished being made. If I had to base my opinion on this one night, I would not go back. $18 for some kind of unidentifiable veggies with no toppings does not make a taco. read more

Loved this spot! Stopped in last night after work and it was already hopping by 5:30. Some happy hour pricing going on but I didn't catch the details. My beer was nicely priced! I ordered the Adobo wings and kale Caesar salad and both were fantastic. Wings nice and crispy and the kale chopped super fine. The bartenders were very friendly and taking great care of the packed bar. Such a cool little corner stage for local musicians with fantastic acoustics. I cannot wait to go back. read more

Came to see a friend's band and decided to have dinner beforehand. The special of the day appetizer was a flatbread with arugula, fig, prosciutto, balsamic, and Parmesan cheese. While it took a long time to come out it was hot, fresh, delicious and totally worth the wait. I got a veggie burger and I really truly did not care for it but it was a poor choice that I made and I don't hold it against the restaurant. I do not like mayo and the dressing on it was mayo based and the server was super sweet and had the kitchen toast up a new bun. Still I was only able to eat half because I wasn't a fan. They do have a decent selection of beers on tap and the cocktails looked really interesting. It's a very cozy venue to see live music and will definitely come back again read more

We went on a Friday evening and were able to get a table right away. The place is very intimate, the have a nice seating area inside, then a more casual sitting at the bar. They had live music and it seems that people were there more for the music. My drink was good, I did go for a different one later though. To start we had their mussels in the green sauce and and then I had my poke, it was delicious. Would definitely be back to try more things. read more

Recently met some old friends here for dinner and had a great time. The hostess was welcoming and the waitress was friendly, and the overall appeal of the place is the beautiful old Victorian house it lives in. I've been coming here for years under its various names and owners, and honestly have enjoyed most of them. It's such a lovely old building full of personality and coziness, and the way it's decorated now is wonderful. The new owners have fully leaned into the old charm of the place. The food was terrific... and I'll definitely be going back to try more of the menu. I look forward to trying more! read more

I'm honored to be the first Yelper to review The People's Pub! As their name implies, this spot is super welcoming, friendly and down to earth. I came for their first ever open mic last Wednesday and had an absolute the blast. While the place was absolutely packed, it never felt uncomfortably crowded. There was definitely a good energy all throughout the night and all the patrons were friendly to each other. I signed up for their open mic and was lucky #21. Oh to be 21 again! I knew I had at least an hour and fifteen or so before I'd go on, so I got a table and ordered some dinner. I was a bit hungry but definitely ordered with my eyes as everything sounded great! I went with the clamp chowder (superb!), onion rings (maybe the best I've ever had?!) and a Caesar salad with fried chicken (I'm drooling). I washed it all down with a delicious non-alcoholic Athletic Brewing Co beer. I knew I should have taken some to-go because my goodness, I needed a wheel barrow! While absolutely stuffed, I was eventually on-deck and quickly put my game face on before stepping on stage. People seemed to like my original song that I played and sang. I had a few folks coming up to me afterwards to say "nice job", which I always appreciate! All in all, a solid new bar with awesome patrons, solid food/drinks and welcoming staff! read more

Wow! What a great place. Great food, cozy setting and fantastic music! Went on Blue grass jam afternoon, and it was fantastic! No cover charge . Lots of separate rooms with tables and a large bar, with the stage nearby. Food was delish with lots of vegetarian options. Service was excellent! There is a parking lot and parking on the street. Though the service and ambiance are fine , and the live music was excellent, the food and beverages were not. Chowder was not hot, tasted like liquid smoke and perhaps bacon, but not like a good clam chowder. In fact, I don't think there were any clams in mine. At $11 for a very small bowl, more like a cup, a disappointment at best. I ordered a patty melt that came with French fries. What I expected was a hamburger patty with grilled onions and cheese, on pressed and grilled rye bread. The patty melt had NO ONIONS. NONE. it did have one slice of mushroom that didn't belong in my sandwich. It was served on what appeared to be toasted bread, not pressed, not grilled. I had a few bites and left the rest. The fries were cold, and looked and tasted as though they were fried long before they were served. At $20, again, a disappointment. My sister ordered a spicy margarita and her opinion was that it was neither spicy nor did it have any discernible tequila in it. At $17, again, a disappointment. In fairness, I will say that a diner in our party ordered the chicken sandwich and he thought it was good, though his fries, like mine, were cold and old. After reading many of the other reviews, which are generally very positive, I'm wondering what has changed. Other reviewers praised the onion rings, but they are no longer on the menu. The photograph of the chowder posted by another reviewer, looked very appetizing, and nothing like what we were served. read more

I absolutely love coming to The People's Pub in Bayport! Every Wednesday and Thursday, while my daughter is at volleyball practice at Bayport-Blue Point High School, I make it a point to stop by--and it's always a wonderful experience. The wings are hands-down the most delicious, the drinks are fantastic, and the atmosphere is just perfect--warm, inviting, and professional. Tyler does an amazing job serving, and the entire team makes you feel so welcome. I truly appreciate how much effort they put into creating such a great experience. Place stinks of pot! You need to go to a separate bar for beer and another for wine and cocktails. Full of hippies and old people. Staff was so rude, no one smiles. Totally and crappy place do t waste your time or money. Go to cavanaughs or patchogue. read more

Came here on a week night and the place was bumping with the live music! I really appreciated that there was a separate, quieter area for us to dine away from the music so we could hear one another over dinner. I ordered the burger and was very impressed with the flavor. We had a great first visit with People's Pub. Overall, food was fast to come out, really tasty and our waiter was great. They also refreshed the whole place since taking over and it had a nice vibe with an expanded bar area. We tried the onion rings with comeback sauce. They were delicious, not greasy, and the comeback sauce was great. For entrees we had the bacon and blue burger with fries and spicy chicken sandwich with pub chips. Both sandwiches were extremely flavorful and fresh. Fries and chips were really good as well. We'll definitely return! Glad to have this new restaurant taking over here! read more
