Had the best private party at The Tap Room! Kristina and Michelle were amazing! They kept the drinks coming and the food was great.

The bartender Michelle was so amazing!! I was torn between a spicy margarita.... my fav ..... and the summer passion fruit sangria. Michelle went out of her way and made me a concoction of the two!! Made my Taproom experience really feel special. I would have loved to pass my compliments forward to management in person, but no noticeably manager was here:( the poor girl was answering the door too, Doing everything!! Sketchy service at the bar. I showed up for dinner on a busy night so I sat at the bar. I got there on a shift change, there was a woman who was quick, pleasant, and attentive. I ordered dinner and asked for water. At time to time there were 2 people at the bar. I'm short order the woman was replaced with a man who was, busy but far less attentive. He asked me how I was doing and a asked for a refill of my water glass. He forgot and served everyone else at the bar but me. A busier Wales by and I asked him for a box because even though the bar has few seats I couldn't get the bartender attention again. Pour form bartender water is the quickest beverage you can serve. I begrudgingly left a 20% tip but this little drop of the ball results in this lack luster review. I have to say the food was good. The pulled chicken wontons were interesting, packed with meat and a cool presentation but still not mind blowing. I had the Wellington burger and again not a game changer but still not bad. There are few entrees on the menu that you don't eat with your hands. And nothing jumped out and said "signature dish". Overall not a horrible place but not a place I would recommend to business travelers. read more

Great patchogue staple!! If you like muscles and you like Buffalo sauce then get the drunken muscles in Buffalo sauce. It's amazing. Your gonna want to ask for more bread. All the food is good. A couple of things stand out. I was not impressed with the wings. They were a bit over cooked , salty and lacked sauce for my Pallet . If your going to sit outside be aware of the bees. There is nothing they can do about that but just letting you know. Truffle fries a great. read more

We ordered burgers last night... they didn't get medium rare right. The meat had no flavor. I ordered a brownie cookie desert . It was a large dry end cut. IT HAD No flavor. THE HOT fudge HAD NO FLAVOR. Sad food is so expensive & a $20 burger should taste great. read more

After spending a day in Patchogue this place had to be a stop for us as it came recommended by many in the area. Holy moly a lot more beers than I expected! I believe over 25 on tap. They had one of my favorites delirium on tap so I had to go with that one! Place was really crowded! I think they may have a second floor as I saw a staircase but it was closed off so I'm assuming there's more seating upstairs. It was really crowded downstairs and the bar area is average sized. We decided to order some jalapeño poppers with our beers. It was okay nice and crispy on the outside but incredibly cheesy and I love cheese! But this was overkill! And it even came with a side of cheese hahah! Service was okay could've been better. They were great with letting me sample some beers before I spotted delirium. Listen to everyone. YOU MUST GET THE PITA CHIPS WITH SPINACH DIP APPETIZER!!!!! The pita chips are to die for!! Spinach dip was also good. I also tried the crispy dragon, the chicken wasn't the juiciest but pretty good nonetheless, 4/5. Mac and cheese balls: 2.5/5 I wasn't really a fan of these, but I don't really like mac and cheese to begin with. The marinara did help the taste of them though. Mahi Mahi Tacos: 3/5 It was okay. I compare every taco I eat to the fish tacos I tried at Funkadelic and nothing really hits as good as those. Fish was kinda dry, tortillas didn't taste that great. My daughter and I went for lunch. We order the chicken dragon wontons for an app. They were okay lots of fresh chicken inside, almost too much but there was a fishy after taste not sure if it was an ingredient like fish oil used or if it was the oil. But it was not great. We also had their modern grilled cheese which was really good. And fried Oreos to finish sooooooo good!!!! Over all a great place to eat and have some drinks, outside eating, and looked like a second floor. Very friendly staff. I would definitely go there again read more

Updating my recent post of concern about the mishandling of a situation. It is said,"Its not that you fall, but rather how you get up again that shows character" I have recently been contacted by the owner James immediately after he was aware of the situation. While admittedly he was embarrassed and it was an awkward conversation, he manned up, took resposibility for his staff's errors, appologized and reassured me that my past 13 years good experiences visiting the TapRoom is the standard by which he would like to be measured. I agree. While there was a mistake made, James sincerely reached out to discuss and rectify the problem. His professionalism earned a return visit. read more

The food was great but what was over and above was Michelle the waitress..I was having trouble with the app for the parking I ask her to help me and she took over it was my first time with the parking ap for me and I'm technology challenged !!! We had a graduation dinner (30 people)upstairs last night for my daughter. Gabby was amazing- she completely set up balloons I dropped off along with a few other decorations. Had the tables arranged and set before I came back (an hour later) Gabby made great suggestions for apps on the tables- was very attentive- food was delicious! And served hot!... We had another party 2 days earlier in Bayport for my other daughter (a baby shower) that was a nightmare- hence the crazy great review I'm leaving. We love the Tap Room and have been eating and drinking there for many years. We didn't want to leave the house so ordered delivery through their Lunchbox service and we were really disappointed. We got our favorites-- the burger wrap and the shrimp tacos. They are usually so delicious! Unfortunately these did not travel well. The fries ( a very small portion), the wrap, and tacos were ice cold. The tacos were sopping wet with the slaw having bled through the taco shell itself, making a purple, wet mess. Now the thing is we knew it might take a while to get the food but didn't think that in that hour our food might be traveling around with other orders which is the only thing I can think of to cause our food to be as cold and wet as it was. DoorDash has its issues but when we get food through them we don't end up with cold food. We likely won't order out from here again. read more

I love this place. I do appreciate the precautions they are taking for dining in during the pandemic. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar which was socially distanced and also separated by a plastic barrier. Service was great. The bartender was very nice and knew the menu inside and out. She promptly got our drinks when we were seated and then we placed our food order shortly after. She was very attentive despite being busy with the good bit of guests and phones ringing. Food is stellar! I had a duck quesadilla and it was awesome. Everything is so flavorful. My boyfriend eats here all the time and swears by the chicken avocado wrap. Three beers, broccoli bites, the avocado wrap, duck quesadilla, and truffle fries came out of to about 68 dollars which is reasonable. I totally recommend! read more

Like an eclipse, 5 star reviews don't come around often...but when they do it's special :) tap room has been a staple for the better part of my young adult life, and remains my favorite bar in patchogue. Always good vibes, friendly staff, tons of beer options, and great food. Hard to come by a place that checks all the boxes, but you have it here! -BBQ Boneless Wings: 5/5, most boneless wings taste the same, have similar consistency, & and don't really stand out as anything special. For some reason these have always stood out among the rest. The quality just seems much better, the taste is great, and they give a really generous portion. 5 stars all around. -Bleu Burger: 5/5, all burgers are NOT created equal. This is proof of that. The burgers are fantastic. Great flavor, cooked and seasoned perfectly. (I recommend throwing the extra $1 and upgrading to the Cajun fries, they are amazing) -Modern Grilled Cheese: 3/5, this is the only meal I've ever gotten that fell short. The bread just needs to be toasted way more and it'd make a huge difference. The flavor was good, but just a little too overpowered with the fig jam and really leaned over in the sweet department. -Wrap it up: 4/5, buffalo sauce & chicken. Can't go wrong. Overall I'll recap by saying this has been, and continues to be my go to spot in patchogue for drinks, a good time, & good food. The new outdoor patio section just added to the allure big time. Very chill beach vibe out there and all around good feels. I'll also mention that they have handled the covid situation way better than most other establishments. These guys have really good burgers. A nice patty-probably flat-top cooked (so it's not charred). Enough toppings for the price, and the bacon isn't that cheap pre-cooked nonsense. Second time coming here. First time was so good we had to do it again. This time we ended up there at brunch time on a Sunday. Extra points for showing the world cup game. Service as usual is excellent. The food as well. This time we were in a mood for burgers and they were awesome. Had to try the mussels in white wine again since we had them last time which we love. Did not plan on coming here for dinner one evening but we were hungry and it was the first place we found where we did not have to wait. We got seated right away to either sit outside, inside downstairs or upstairs. We went upstairs as it was loud downstairs by the bar. Service was great, loved my drink. Appetizers were good we got the bbq chicken quesadilla. Dinner not so much. Burger was greasy and a little undercooked, I ask for medium and it looked more medium rare. Fries though were so good you don't need ketchup. Overall nice place just be careful ordering your burgers. I'd come back for appetizers and drinks but not dinner. read more

We are big fans of the Taproom and visit/order from them regularly. Last Night we ordered Delivery and understandable the wait time was a little longer than normal. Our Driver accepted the delivery, but never showed and the wait time kept on climbing. Two Hours later we still did not have our food. I called and spoke to the manager Cameron who was nothing but helpful. He was unable to have another driver assigned to the delivery. I ended up heading out to pickup our food. Food was good, and our waiter was great, but the upstairs was closed due to an affair, and so we were seated by the door. Which almost never remains closed. It was very cold. Between folks going outside to smoke (which we could smell), and others deciding to hold the door open while asking the hostess how long of a wait it will be, then ruminate while we freeze. We all ate with our coats on. If we return we'll check if the upstairs is available. read more
