Food: hot dogs and snack food! Decent stuff! Drink: original, delicious cocktails for the win! Not many places in Patchogue are serving cocktails like theirs! You can also fine beer and wine. Service: friendly service Atmosphere: cross between upscale cocktail bar, brewery and greenery. They have dark lighting and fancy drinks. Beer and board games. And live plants and cool decorations throughout! Love it!

This is easily my new favorite spot in town. It's small, quiet, has great service, awesome selection of craft beers, fantastic cocktails, amazing vibe, and I could go on and on... It's such a nice place to take a breath of fresh air away from the hustle & bustle that is Main St and what those bars offer. Great South Bar is the perfect place if you want a nice date night out or even to hang with some friends when you want to hear the conversation. Terrance and the other bartenders are serious about their mixology and the cocktail menu here is the best, bar none. These masterful drinks will run you a little bit at $13 each, but get here during happy hour and they're $2 off. Speaking of happy hour, they have half price beers of some reallyyyy great stuff. The other night, we got a couple Three's brews and the bill was under $10. Can you get there anywhere else? No. Also, dollar hot dawgs on the happy hour menu also. Their food menu is strictly bar food; chips & onion dip, cheese & meat board, hummus, PB&J, etc...no frills kinda stuff that's good for munchin' when you're tossing a few back. This place is great and I stop in whenever I get the chance, you should too!

Depending upon your expectations, the bar could be considerd disappointing. There are limited beers on tap. I ordered a beer that I thought was on tap and it was out of a can. Cocktails are $13, this is Patchogue, not Manhattan by Times Square. Happy hour specials are $2 off a beer, not half priced similar to some other bars in the area. There is a limited selection of bar food available. They have a nice space, and there is good potential here. Hopefully I will be able to upgrade my review in the future.

Patchogue desperately needed great south bar. No frills cocktail bar with reliable beer and wine options, and cheap beer options also for those who just want a bud can. And super simple bar food! Their housemade hummus is great and really hits the spot. I recommend their margarita, it's perfect. Though everything I had was good. Great south bar is a perfect hangout spot, but it's small so it fills up quick. I went in on Friday at 7 and it filled up at 8:30. Still really enjoyable, it didn't get rowdy or anything. So excited for these guys to do well, I know they will!!! I'll be back soon.

Super fun place to go with a young but mature crowd, without the yelling and fuss that some of the other places on the strip offer. The bartenders were fantastic at their job and the cocktail menu was something special. Didn't find a bad drink on that. Good vibe, nice interior design.

Awesome place! Great beer selection! Love that they offer nice sour beer options as well . Happy hour is fantastic . It's Quiet, off the path of village . Perfect ! Supreme friendly service. Live music on Thursday's ! I also enjoy the selection of board games available to play. The apps and snacks are of good choice and delicious homemade hummus is on point. Had a great time here last night with a table of friends. I really enjoyed the music especially last night thanks to the GRATEFUL GIRLS! :-) I will definitely be back soon!!

Dave is the MAN. Awesome bar with a great selection super relaxed and cool. The nautical theme is done super cute and the vibes are really cozy. Just a nice change from the typical cookie cuter bars on Main Street

After ordering few beers and appetizers we were constantly asked by our server whether we ready to place another order it was almost borderline harassment to place additional orders. When we did receive the main dishes I was very disappointed in the quality. The chicken panini resembled a chicken burger patty that was both cold and tasteless. Even the cures were cold and slightly soggy. The burgers were slightly better luke warm but cooked and prepared to my guests request. The beers and music made up for a disappointing lunch/dinner. Restaurant featured a full bar along with outside seating overlooking the local marina. Tiki Bar appears to be a local favorite based on the number of customers who were acknowledged by name by the staff and like I said maybe it was an off day for the staff but I'll think I'll stick to the drinks next visit.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.
