Day before parade...impressive place!
Cynthia F.

We have no idea why we haven't stepped foot in this place in all of the years we've lived in Mt. Sinai and complained that there aren't enough good pubs around. We literally agreed that we would go in and say we were stopping for a beer, but no plan to eat. We were pleasantly surprised with a wonderful bartender named Lisa Maria who was welcoming and charming and had great ideas about new and refreshing drinks. The food was, much to our surprise, fresh and delicious. The calamari was outstanding the sliders were expected to be like White Castle, but came out as fresh ground beef on puffy yummy dinner rolls and a slab of dill pickle...clearly not preformed or frozen. Everyone was enjoying Lisa Maria's own concoction of vanilla vodka, orange red bull and a splash of OJ. I didn't think I was in the mood for it until I heard the word "creamsicle" and then I was all in! It did not fail to impress my childhood love of the tradional creamsicle on a stick! HUGE PLUS FOR MUSIC LOVERS: LISA MARIA HAS HER SPOTIFY PLAYLIST OF OVER 300 SONGS PIPED IN! This is as important as lighting and ambiance...*too many eateries fail in that category due to LED (yuk) lighting and cavernous sound. Not here though! The space was equally impressive and expansive and clearly had a place for the casual bar fare, shoot some pool and a date night/family friendly side that still let diners feel part of the action...cannot wait to come back for live music, the back patio, etc. (Would give 5 stars, but as a nonsmoker...not a fan of smelling cigarettes everytime front door opens...easy fix is a designated area away from door)

A friend had recommended The Hideaway for wings a while back. Since then, a number of people…read morementioned them too. I recently visited. The Hideaway is a cool neighborhood bar. Not fancy. Just functional. I was there on an NFL Sunday. There were lots of regulars. There was good interaction with the staff. I didn't catch her name, but the woman who was the only person working the bar and waiting on the tables was amazing. She was super friendly to everyone. She hustled to meet everyone's needs. It wouldn't surprise me if she is an owner too. It's hard to find people, who aren't owners, who are that committed. I asked for a wing flavor recommendation and she said "Montreal Honey" first. I ordered 6. The wings are part-baked and then finished in a fryer. Good inner and outer texture. The Montreal Seasoning was right on. The Honey didn't have much of a presence either visually or flavor-wise. More was needed to balance the salt from the Montreal Seasoning and to justify the Honey in the name. I tried both the Blue Cheese and the Ranch. I'd recommend the Blue Cheese. I'll definitely return to try more wing flavors. I also ordered a crock of chili, which was full of ground beef and topped with melted cheddar and chopped red onions. The chili was solid. I'd probably try something else before I ordered it again though. I'm a fan of Hideaway and I'll be back. 4.25 Stars

I loved my flatbread, super crispy crust and the toppings were flavorful. Service was quick, once a drink was done we were soon asked if we wanted another. It's a typical sports bar with a large bar area with high top table service and a second table service area off to the side. Plenty of TVs broadcasting area sport games and offering extensive food options: apps, burgers, flatbreads, wings, sliders, quesadillas and sandwiches. There are daily specials as well. Started off either the fried pickle chips and crispy brussel sprout poppers both of which were hot and crispy. Our server Peter was polite and attentive if a little green to the job. Our party stuck with burger selections and I went with the turkey club sandwich all which were very good, were nicely displayed and reasonably priced. I've seen some other reviews commenting on the decor and service and I can say what impressed me was the overall service particularly with the manager who approached every table asking how everything was and even delivered food as well as bussed tables. We had an interesting conversation with Kim 2.0 ( manager) who shared some of the new upcoming promotions and gave us a little history of Alice's. Overall good food reasonably priced and well portioned. The service is good with an engaging and observant manager. They even feature live music. Being a Sport Bar it can get loud especially on game day but that's to be expected. I'll definitely return on one of the promotion dates.

Honestly, I taken aback. We just left the restaurant and as far as the parking, service, and food,…read moreeverything was great. Our server was awesome. She must be a mom because she was super patient and intuitive of our needs. The meal itself, was great. Unfortunately, when we left I forgot my wireless headphones at our booth. We said our goodbyes to the MIL and drove a bit to a nearby gad station when I realized. I immediately called and was told that no one turned in any headphones. We drove back within five minutes and asked to check. No headphones. I asked if they had a camera and they directed me to the manager, Anthony, who also checked the booth, Lost & Found, and the office. No headphones. They took down my name and number, and said they would reach out if they were located. I think he should have checked their camera systems right then. Seriously speaking, it was either an employee or a patron - as a business owner, I'd want to be sure of which, because if you have a patron that regularly visits and cases people's belongings, I'd want to know so that I can refuse service to them. Conversely, if the perpetrator is an employee, that's even worse, because that means they have the audacity to steal while at work which means they'll steal right from under my nose. I don't like the idea of having to worry about leaving something at a business and not having it returned to me because the problem is coming from inside the house. I've never had this happen before. I'm wondering now, what would happen if I left my wallet or credit card? My headphones were on the seat of a booth, so they were not visible, but if someone that cleaned the table and seats noticed them, it would be easy to pocket without an issue. Crab Cake Salad was decent, although, do not like the honey mustard dressing - asked for ranch instead. Way better. Gourmet Mac w/Pulled Pork was really good. The cheese sauce was ok. The protein brought out the oomph...would taste better if the Mac could stand alone. Kid's Pizza - large serving. Our kid ate about half. Decent pizza. Club Sandwich - my MIL got this and liked it. It was a rather large serving.

Well if…read moreyou're into wings and football and lattes, I would highly recommend stopping on by to Atomic wings located in Miller Place. Vinny was incredible and we definitely need more people like him, he ensured each and every detail of our experience was a great one. These 5 stars are for you Vinny! Thank you for an incredible experience. He offered the Tuesday special which includes 20 wings, which you can have up to 4 choices of sauces, with large waffle fries. You can't beat that! Great quality chicken wings, cooked to perfection in their BBQ chipotle sauce and buffalo sauce. Sauce to wing ratio was amazing, not too soggy but crispy and juicy wings. We also tried their honey bbq sandwich and Nashville hot chicken. Both highly recommended! The ambiance was great! Made you feel like you were In a man cave, enjoying your favorite food watching your favorite football team! Definitely show some love to Vinny at Atomic wings, it's football season baby! The woman behind the counter was pleasant and amusing with a welcoming smile. It was not particularly busy, as there were a few patrons waiting for pick-up and delivery drivers coming in and out. The restaurant is well laid out between dining area, bar and order counter. In hindsight, I can't say I can think of another Atomic Wings with a bar. I placed my order and was offered a drink while I waited by a wonderfully mustachioed (and bearded!) gentleman. Keep that type of kind service up, I will have to make this a regular haunt! Atomic Wings does the best kind of chicken IMO. No breading, still crisp, not fussy. Their standard blue cheese is often lacking a 'zing', but I've noticed some stores don't use the franchise dressing. My order was for a 10 piece tradition wing, well done with Thai Chili sauce, and blue cheese dressing. My wings didn't get soggy, even with a ten minute drive home. It's because they have vented take out containers! No need for me to crack the box open so air can escape The wings were perfection. Thai chili had the best blend of spicy and sweet. The blue cheese tasted a bit ranch-y but was still quality and enjoyable with chunks of cheese. It wasn't until well after making short work of my wings that I realized there was no celery/carrot included. I wonder if that's because I didn't ask for them, or if they're not offered at this location. Either way, I didn't need them and barely noticed, just a mention of you're into that kind of thing.
