Dirty Taco & Tequila is always a good time. I love the Asian-inspired twist on their tacos since it keeps things interesting, and you won't get the same flavors anywhere else in Patchogue. Some tacos can be a bit salty though.... Regardless, it's the kind of spot that just works whether you're out with friends, grabbing a casual dinner, or doing Taco Tuesday right. Easy recommendation if you want fun food and a fun atmosphere.
Bold Flavors & Chill Vibes--A Sunday Night Win We had an awesome experience at Dirty Taco and Tequila in Patchogue. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool--stylish, energetic, and clearly a favorite among young adults. We went on a Sunday night and found it to be the perfect time: lively without being overwhelming, which we really appreciated since we tend to prefer places that aren't too loud or crowded. The food was the real star. The tacos were packed with flavor, and the poke burrito was absolutely phenomenal--fresh, bold, and unforgettable. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is. We wrapped up with dessert, and it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and thoughtfully made--sweet without being over the top. We didn't drink, but the food and vibe alone made the visit totally worth it. If you're looking for a spot that nails flavor and atmosphere, Dirty Taco is a solid choice. Just consider going during off-peak hours if you're after a more relaxed experience.
this was my first time visiting this dirty taco location. the service was absolutely incredible. i was there with a large party, and we were a couple minutes late to our reservation, but everything was handled really professionally, and we didn't have to wait long. it was understandable given our lateness. we did have a tough time parking in the area, so just give yourself some extra time as a heads-up if you are planning to park. i felt like we were well taken care of, the staff did an incredible job of taking our orders in a timely manner, bringing out food, and checking in on us, always with a very positive mindset. dirty taco has such a wide variety of offerings, especially for anyone with dietary restrictions, including vegetarian and vegan options. the nachos were incredible, with a creamy queso and fresh guacamole on the perfect crunchy chips. i also enjoyed the cucumber salad, which had a welcoming sesame flavor and fresh, thinly sliced cucumber. i would highly recommend checking out this dirty taco location. it was honestly an exceptional experience, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Chips & Guacamole - They were great, delicious, and the salt-to-chip-to-lime ratio was mint. Server Jill - Unbelievable. She put up with my questions and took kindly when I told her she'll be in my review. She's such a sweetheart and very kind. She was on top of it throughout our entire lunch stay. Highly recommend her upon request. She also warned my cousin about this really hot pepper so that he wouldn't, you know, burn his mouth off. Truly an asset to the restaurant and deserves a raise. She also followed up on my cousin's parking to make sure like that his car doesn't get towed or whatever -- so that was unreal. She said it's the season of giving -- truly a not Scrooge at all. Ambiance - Catchy music and not too loud so you can actually hear yourself talking. Love the decor. Chimichurri Taco - Really perfectly flavorful; big portion sizes today. Steak was so good and it was unreal and the chimi sauce was, on God, so fire too. Chicken Tinga Taco - Honestly, the chicken was a bit bland, kinda needed hot sauce with it lowkey. It was still fire though, I would recommend it if you like your chicken pulled. If you don't come to Dirty Taco, you made a big mistake here in Patchogue on Montauk Highway a.k.a. Main Street.
The drinks and food are amazing‼ So is the staff from the mgr, servers, bartender, runners & buser‼ I took my bestie here for the 1st time she loved everything " the best margarita ever" Andrea, Nina, Sal, Lorraine, Brittany‼ I came all the way from NPT So happy the restaurant is incredible from the moment you walk in to the time you leave. This has quickly become one of our favorite places. I never would have thought Asian Mexican fusion was my thing, but man, it is. Everything I've had is delicious. I love their tacos. I love the street corn. I love the sweet plantains. Chef's kiss to it all! And it's been good both as take-out and also in the restaurant. The servers are pleasant and friendly, the food comes in a reasonable amount of time, and the ambiance is fun and inviting. My only complaint is that I didn't try it sooner!
Vibes: This place has such a fun, laid-back "life's a party" feel - exactly what we needed after a busy workday. The staff were super chill and fun to chat with! Our waiter, Jay, should have been on the cast of The Real World 2002 in the best way- we loved him! Had a blast. What a fantastic place! I just had an amazing meal here where everything clicked on all cylinders, from the food, drinks, vibe and of course the service. Our server, Jill, was awesome and attentive. We started off with delicious cocktails: coconut margarita, watermelon basil and then had the queso nachos and bang bang tacos, calamari tacos and miso cod tacos. Everything was delicious!!! Looking forward to returning soon.
I walked past this place one day, saw the menu, and thought, "Ooohhh, I definitely need to go there." A week later, I came back with my family and, let's just say, I ordered with my eyes! I didn't realize how filling these tacos would be and couldn't even finish everything I ordered. But let me tell you, what I did try was so damn delicious. I was honestly sad to waste any food, and while I brought the leftovers home, they just weren't the same. I loved the art and ambiance of the place. There was even a photographer going around taking pictures and selling them, so we definitely grabbed a few since we had someone visiting with us. Our waiter was super attentive, and the food, drinks, and vibes were all on point. We'll definitely be coming back!

I absolutely recommend this business. I have been to 4 of their 6 locations and enjoy them all. The food is delicious. From their appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Their mixed drinks are also great. The service has always been great. When ever I'm out on the island I try and stop by. read more

One of my favorite restaurants on the main strip, service is always fast. Food is always great and waitstaff is always accommodating, this time when I went I had the sweetest waiter named CJ. I mostly order out but going in is always a treat. They have a Tex mex eggroll and that is SOOO GOOOD!! read more

today was my first time at dirty taco and I would definitely go back! the service was fast and friendly and the food really good, I want to start with the fry job, the shrimp on my Vietnamese shrimp taco was perfectly fried, the tater tots in my loaded tatchos perfectly fried! I heard the crisp on the chicken from my moms plate so one thing I can say is they know how to fry! the plantains were also expertly fried ! the server Jill made great suggestions and really knew the menu also the food was very flavorful, highlight bites were definitely the tacos , the salmon was Blackened not burnt, perfectly cooked and disguised as Blackened and the sauce on the shrimp was warm and subtly sweet and again with that 5 star crunch I had their paloma which is made with 818 and san pellegrino blood orange soda and it was mixed well so shoutout to the bar! great job DT patch! wish i took more pictures read more
We were greeted right away and the door was held open for us. Nice welcome. Table for two on a Saturday evening. The table was a nice corner spot, next to the windows. Perfect for our date night. Jay was our server. He was very knowledgeable of the drinks and food, and assisted us in picking out our drinks and food. He also didn't rush us. I had a Skinny Margarita (not on the menu) and my husband had the Spicy Blood Orange. Both were delicious and I loved the flavor of the Spicy Blood Orange so much that I ordered one as my second drink. The guacamole appetizer was good. But the tacos were amazing. We had the Chicken Tinga, Carne Asada, Barbacoa Chicken, Birria, and the special of the day Lobster taco. The Lobster one was our favorite but they were all great. We will be back! read more

This place has amazing ing food and the whole vibe here and music is amazing. Great apps, great taco selection, and overall dope place to just come on a date or hang out with the boys. I been wanting to come here for a long time and I was at my in-laws house one day and they had a gift certificate they never used and gave it to us and we had a put it to good use. We came here on a Wednesday for date night and I love Patchogue. I'm a city boy and it reminds of Ditmars in Astoria or Steinway and they have a lot of cool places to eat and bar hop. For appetizers we went with the chicken potstickers that were a 10/10. Cooked to perfection and packing a lot of flavor, serve with a great dipping sauce. I got a shrimp taco, carne asada taco, and a short rib taco. My fiancé got a shrimp taco and some king of chicken taco that was mehhh. My favorite taco was the short rib, followed by the shrimp taco. Carbs asada was good but the short rib I'll def come back for. The in house margaritas here are top tier and packing a punch. They're definitely not cheap with the alcohol and very good and refreshening. I definitely will be back and want a try the smith town location on the next visit. If you love tacos and want a try a new taco spot, I highly recommend this place. They have multiple location all over the island in Nassau county and Suffolk. I look forward to trying other spots but this by far the best Mexican chain I tried to date and will be back. read more

Omg! Where do I begin! Drove from Staten Island on a work project in Riverhead. We searched for the best place to get food and drinks, we originally had found a place down the street, however found parking right outside Dirty taco, and boy are we happy we came across this gem! Our Server Sal I believe was awesome! He gave us awesome suggestions. We started with the dirty Nachos 10/10 ordered some guacamole, queso, with chips and Salsa and not sure what the salsa was but wow it was different 10/10 then we each ordered some tacos which again did not disappoint!!! The ambiance of the place was quiet as we did show up early on a Wednesday afternoon but I definitely recommend giving this place a try, drinks I almost forgot 10/10... don't give this place a doubt try them out!! Also, we loved the aesthetic of the place great art work and memes throughout the restaurant! read more

Would this be a great place to come with the drunk munchies? Hell, yea. Unfortunately, I came for a dinner with family. The wait was long and when we were finally seated, it was crazy loud. Our food took a long time to come out which we could understand for a weekend evening but the overwhelming flavor for everyone was salt, which was disappointing. read more

Found out from the owner, Will, that the restaurant has been open for more than a year. Not sure how we walked by this place and never checked it out. Asian Mexican fusion restaurant. There were 2 prices on the menu. The first price was for cash, the second price was for a credit card. The daily specials were a few dollars cheaper than the regularly priced items. This place doesn't skimp on the ingredients. Food was fresh and tasty. From the items we ordered we were pretty satisfied though we have our favorites. We were expecting the price to be higher but it's reasonably priced. The front of the restaurant can be noisy with with the music playing in the background. It doesn't hinder your conversation with your table mates. The back of the restaurant has a few tables and a bit more quieter and more intimate. There is a bar on the right side. With the industrial ambiance asking with Asian Mexican vibe, it's very eclectic and it works. Was admiring the street art on the wall and I wanted to take a picture when the employee, who turned out to be the owner, Will, said sure. I felt more comfortable taking the pictures since I got the ok. He showed us the patio and the artwork with various flowers has symbolic meanings to the owner. We asked for a table for 2 and was promptly shown to a table. Shout-out to our server, Nina, for being patient with us as we put in our order, checking in with us, and filling our water. The employees were efficient in removing used plates and cups. Definitely coming back here again. Give it a try. read more

Dirty Taco is my favorite restaurant in Patchogue! From salads and wings to a variety of tacos and quesadillas, this hip eatery offers so much flavor. My go-to is the Vietnamese shrimp taco and I also enjoy the spicy loaded totchos and churros for dessert! Every time I've been here (and I go often), the staff has been friendly, funny, and a pleasure to chat with. I'm happy Dirty Taco found a home in Patchogue! read more

Been here at least 4 times now and I'll continue to return. What can I say about Dirty Taco? This place is awesome! Not only is the food good but the wait staff here are so down to earth and friendly! The vibe here is also really chill and adds to the atmosphere of the place. It's a fun, grungy yet quirky spot and that makes it all the more endearing. The artwork and signs hanging around will have you pulling out your camera for sure. Happy Birthday to me...well, back on January 10th that is. I might be almost two months late on writing this review, but it doesn't change the fact that visiting Dirty Taco on my B-Day was outstandingly awesome. You see, I actually was planning on dining at the RVC DT back in January of 2020, but then timing got away from us and the whole Covid thing began soon after which just kept pushing off a trip to any Dirty Taco for years...until my wife and I finally made the trip down to the Patchogue location on that January Tuesday night in which we waited about 30 minutes to sit. Now I would never put a wait time as a negative just because a place is crowded, but what about spinning a wait time into a positive? Unheard of! We had put our name/number down, but walked around Main St. only to make our way back inside to the festive bar area where we were greeted by multiple employees. They cleaned a spot up for us and made it comfortable enough to almost want to eat there. But knowing this was a birthday dinner, we still wanted to sit at a table. Impressively enough, the manager who originally took our name came over to us to let us know it would be another few minutes and to double check that we didn't want to stay at the bar. I was impressed by this because he remembered that I was the "Josh" party and was super friendly in making sure I got what I wanted. Only a few minutes later we ended up with a table near the side of the main door, but there was a heater set up that the manager made sure we knew how to use if we wanted it cooler/hotter. The hospitality of the staff up to this point was incredible. It only continued with the waitress who was just as friendly and accommodating as she explained the menu setup and taco styles available. Boy does DT have some unique and deliciously-sounding tacos, as well as a bunch of other tasty stuff. We started with some queso which was warm, gooey, and had a little kick that hit the spot. From there, the wife and I had two tacos each and split a third one. Mine were the Jamaican Jerk chicken taco (just the right amount of juicy flavor and heat) and the classic baja (beer battered cod which was super flakey and well-balanced by the pico, slaw, and horseradish dijon cream on it). We shared the carne asada taco (tender steak with a creamy cilantro infusion of toppings) while my wife dined on the chimichurri and chicken tinga tacos (which she reported were quite enjoyable). Our downfall was also ordering a side of Mexican street fries which had an almost sweet (bud addicting) flavor to them mixed with the gooeyness of queso fresco. All that grub left us rather full. Oh and I might add that we washed it all down with a couple of drinks, mine being the blackberry walnut margarita which you might think sounds odd, but it was honestly one of the better drinks I've had recently. Not overpowering in nutty taste with a little pucker of sour from the blackberries and a zing of mint in there. Despite it being my birthday, we didn't make that public (so we escaped without a "show" as I noticed was taking place at other tables), but interestingly, just as we were getting ready to leave, a different manger (owner?) came over and brought us complimentary shots of coquito. Why? I do not know, but we made sure to thank him and let him know just how impressed we were with our meal from start to finish. Overall, Dirty Taco is a truly wondrous place from its friendly staff to its fun interior and glorious grub. It might have taken me years to finally eat at one (and a few months to even write up the review!), but consider this as only the beginning of a desire to return to DT many times to come. read more
