Service here is a full 5/5. I thought the staff here were so nice and the cafe is cute, quiet, and tasty. I've tried two of their drinks on their menu before and liked both. Iced strawberry matcha 5/5 - It's a bit on the sweeter side but something about the strawberry milk, I really enjoyed. Especially mixed with the matcha. I think it could still use a bit more of a deeper matcha taste though. Overall still a great drink. Iced hojicha latte 5/5 - This was delicious, deep in flavour, and a nice change from the matcha latte. Definitely need to try this one if you haven't already. I can't wait to try their other drinks and pastries in the future. A great coffee spot!

Very cute cafe. Staff was very kind and attentive. With all the shops out there, these small things matter. Matcha Latte was great. I'll swing by again for sure. Basically a takeout spot with very limited sitting. Pastries looked good but I didn't try. Came by on a 2pm on Sat and was constantly busy.

Tried their special menu : strawberry Hojicha latte , not bad ! But as a tea lover , I will order Hojicha latte for a stronger tea flavor in my next visit! Already a regular of the shop, their pastry are yummmm

Venue 4/5 In warden highway 7 plaza (across Markham civic centre). Lots of parking but plaza is always busy. Small shop so grab and go setup (only 2 seats) Service 5/5 Over 5/5 for sure, had 3 staff working today and they all greeted us and were informative of the menu. They checked up on us a few times during our stay there. Super polite and respectful to other customers in the store from what I observed. They gave off the energy they are proud of what they serve and make which is what you want to see in any shop. Food 5/5 Tried their matcha and strawberry matcha today. The strawberry matcha has a sweeter kick to it than traditional matcha. Both were delicious. They had some pastries too which I am looking forward to try next time I visit.

Great lattes - Two coffee beverages, one in a white paper cup with a lid and the other in a clear plastic cup with a straw, are placed on a white table near a window at Tangy Cafe.

What a great find in Markham for a great pit stop for a coffee break. Tangy is a small yet cozy cafe in Markham. The staff is so friendly and he is so knowledgeable. Makes recommendations for us and we loved all the recommendation he suggested. The hazelnut latte is SO GOOD. Will definitely return for the great lattes!

They're drinks are pretty good here. Service has been consistently friendly and quick. They don't have much seating other than two bar stools so I don't recommend it for a sit down coffee shop. It's relatively easy to find parking in this plaza since there's high turnover of customers but it sometimes gets busy.

I love this adorable litte cafe! The interior is very clean and they even decorated for the holidays. There's a few seats at the front but I would say it's more of a grab and go place (at least for me). The owners are very sweet and friendly. Tangy Cafe has become my go-to cafe in this area. My personal favourite is the Hot Matcha Latte. It's very creamy and I love the foam. I also really like the Hojicha Latte. I'd also recommend their savoury pastries but try to go early because they will sell out!

Overall rating 3.7/5 (rounded up on Yelp) Finally had a chance to visit Tangy Cafe after hearing so much about it! While I enjoyed their baked goods and kind service, I found the coffee to be just "alright", and it was a shame that the cafe has very limited seating & space because of its size. This cafe has plenty of flaky croissants / pastries to offer - both sweet and savoury. I tried their pain au chocolat (warmed up, of course!) and it was delicious! On the other hand, the latte missed the mark for me. I found the espresso roast to be a bit too mild to use in a latte. While I t was still a decent latte, it just didn't wow me. The owner/staff were very friendly and attentive, and I was able to get my order in a relatively short period of time. That being said, this is more of a grab & go cafe vs. a sit-down spot to work or chat with friends, which for me, kind of takes away from the cafe experience.

Ice matcha latte with oat milk, pistachio cruffin, original egg tart croissant

Second best egg tarts I've had secondary to the ones I had in Taipei, Taiwan. Pastries are made fresh daily in house. Egg tart is light and fluffy and the light crispy croissant flake is the perfect crunch. Super friendly staff, greet and bid you farewell with a genuine and caring smile. Had their matcha latte which was solid too. A little small inside but there is seating for about 2-3 people with views of outside. Decently priced as well. Was here visiting for the week and been here at least 3x--daily for their matcha and egg tart. Go early as they seem to run out midday. Tried the pistachio cruffin as well--decent but pistachio cream a little too runny and sweet for me. Others may enjoy it differently. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Cute plushie decor inside too--brings out the little kid in ya ;).

Tangy Cafe Discovered this cute little coffee shop the other day when I went to get some rolls at Makimart! I decided to walk in and check it out and I'm so glad I did! It's a tiny but cosy space, only two chairs available- so mostly for takeaway. Lots of delicious pastries and drinks to choose from. I was feeling pistachio that day and went all out! They make their pistachio cream in the croissant and the cold foam cream in their drink in house - had the chance to chat with the owners! And if you get 10 drinks you can get one free using their card system! If you get a chance and happen to be in that area pls drop by and check them out! It's nice to see all these good coffee shops and cafes popping up in Markham! Def a neighbourhood !

This is a 'must go to' cafe whenever I'm craving a hojicha latte. Love how it's so close to my office to. Their roast beef & cheese croissant and ham & cheese croissant are delicious too. As for sweets, I really like the mix berries twist. Owners are very friendly. Make sure you go early because they sell out really fast! Gotta say lucky for me & my coworkers that we are in the area :)

Adorable and small cafe owned by a lovely couple. Ordered a mocha coffee and it was great, flavourful and not too bitter. The pastries looked delicious but never got to try it. Will drop by next time to try.

The mocha we ordered was delicious, adequate in chocolate notes paired with espresso. I want to say that the drinks were the highlight of my experience here. They have a few special menu items, like the unagi pizza - which I found was not the best in terms of taste. I can't pick out exactly what it is, but something on there wasn't to my liking. Either way, interesting menu item to try. To finish off, I ordered some cotton candy for my sister. I was disappointed that they said they ran out of the paper cones/sticks for the cotton candy, so they offered it to me in brown paper bags. The space itself is bright, cozy, and modern. It's great for a casual brunch. The menu focuses on creative takes on classic brunch dishes, with most plates around $18-$25 and drinks about $6-$9. We tried the pork sausage shakshouka, pork jowl eggs benny, and a strawberry matcha latte. The drink was a standout--refreshing, nicely layered, and not overly sweet. The dishes themselves had good flavors and promising concepts. Unfortunately, the experience started off rough. Despite having a reservation, we waited over 30 minutes for a table during the busy Saturday brunch rush, and parking around the plaza was difficult. When the food arrived, the eggs in both the eggs benny and the shakshouka were overcooked, which was disappointing since runny yolks are key to both dishes. Overall, Corner Cafe has a nice vibe and an interesting brunch menu, but the long wait, tough parking, and inconsistent execution made the experience fall short this time.

It's nice that there is one in Richmond hill now as the other location was near Markville before. Service 4/5 wasn't too busy when we went in afternoon. Easy to be seated, staff are attentive. Food 4/5 Eggs Benedict with Smoke Salmon was great. The chicken fettucine with spinach was also very tasty. The portions are comparable for a GTA uptown location. Will definitely revisit to try the rest of the menu.

They have 3 locations…read more(Mississauga, Scarborough, and Markham), where this particular location is located in Markham, near Woodbine and Esna Park Drive. The entrance of Omventure is somewhat hidden where it faces the back of a big building housing several different businesses (mainly restaurants). A great place for kids, teens, families, as well as young adults, the space houses a variety of escape rooms with different difficulty levels, where there is a suggested number of people needed per room. Depending on the difficulty of the escape room, you are given either 60 min, 90 min, or 120 min to solve or escape the room. You are able to book your escape room ahead of time, which is highly recommended. They do have family and kid friendly escape rooms available as well. Also, the use of phones is not allowed when you play the escape rooms - if you do decide to bring your phone into the escape room and use it, you can cause your time in the escape room to end early (they have security footage throughout the rooms). This location also has an expansive board game area with many large tables and many games as well as a cafe selling bubble tea and snacks. There is also a gaming area with video game consoles as well. My party of 4 stopped by Omventure on a Saturday evening where we had booked the escape room "Kingdom of Cats" (60 min, 3/5 difficulty, best for 3-8 people). Upon entering, you pay at the counter where you can get discounts if you follow them on social media or if it is your birthday. Once ready, your belongings are placed in a single locker and you are asked to watch a video explaining the rules of the escape room. Staff also provide you with a walkie talkie where you can ask for unlimited hints if you are really stuck. Afterwards, staff lead you to your particular escape room. My party and I managed finish the "Kingdom of Cats" escape room in the allotted time, although we had to ask staff twice as we were stuck with what to do next. This particular escape room required us to solve puzzles and riddles while paying attention to our surroundings. There was a bit of crawling as we headed to at least 4 different rooms. It may seem confusing where to begin at first when you are placed in the room but with teamwork and communication, you end up figuring out what to do to move to the next step. This particular escape room isn't scary, but it is kid friendly and fun. The 60 min really flew by just like that as we had to use our brains in order to figure things out. I haven't done a lot of escape rooms but this one was really nicely designed with lots of details throughout. Moving through the different rooms was pretty cool and finding the clues and working as a team together allowed us to escape and finish. After we were finished with the escape room, staff came to get us and took our picture on the stage where we could choose different boards to hold up. Nice touch as a souvenir of the fun time you had while you were there. For an additional fee you can also play as many board games if you'd like, but we decided not to. Overall, a fun escape room adventure for everyone! Would love to try the more difficult and scary ones next time. Staff were great and the facilities were well maintained where the rooms very detailed. Great option to have a fun time with family or friends.

Apparently it's been around for a long time but I never realize its existence until now! It's a bit tucked away at the back of the Diana Seafood plaza on Woodbine. You might need to loop around the parking lot to find it, but it's certainly worth it once you are inside. The space is fine and decently laid out, so even with multiple groups, it does not feel overcrowded. They offer eight escape rooms, four game console stations, plenty of board games, a photo-taking area with fun signages, an open beverage bar (non-alcoholic... probably), and lots of good-sized tables for groups. It is a great setup for parties. We booked a birthday package that included three hours of hangout time (board games, consoles, photo area), one large pizza, eight drinks, and a one-hour escape room for eight kids. Paper plates and cutlery were provided, and parents could relax while the kids played. Bring your own cake and other refreshments with no hassle. Well-manner staffs are helpful and easy to work with. At around CAD $430 including tax, it felt reasonable, especially since the kids had an absolute blast.
