I wish Yelp allowed for half stars because I wanted to give this a 3.5. The cafe's specialty is omurice and they specify that it's a medium cooked egg instead of the more runny egg due to food safety. They have tonkatsu as well as udon dishes and a variety of desserts. The breakfast menu also has some savoury souffle pancake options. Overall I really like the variety of the food and drink options here, and everything we tasted was decent although not remarkable.

Not bad. Food was good and service was great! I loved the spicy Yuzu chicken wings. I also ordered a grape (Kyoho) soda to wash down our meal of omurice and donburi, but I thought it was small and not worth the price of $6.50.

Decent Japanese style cafe in Richmond Hill at Bayview and Major Mac. They are good for families with a variety of kid friendly choices like sandwiches, fries, chicken wings, udon, omelette rice, and cakes. I came here with my 6 year old and we had: Unagi tsukemen Chicken Katsu curry udon Japanese style wings Overall the flavours were decent. Nothing really stood out as amazing, but nothing terrible either. If you're in the area and want a kid friendly place, this restaurant is worth a try if there's no line.

Finally had a chance to try this little Japanese cafe. I wish yelp would allow half stars as this as this is really a 3.5 star rating. Overall the experience was nice. The cafe is modernly decorated and has about 10 tables. The staff were friendly, and the food was ok. My biggest complaint was that all of our food arrived at room temperature instead of nice and hot. From the takoyaki we ordered to our katsu omurice, none of the food was hot. For the katsu, you get a choice to order either the hayashi sauce or curry sauce. We both ordered the hayashi sauce but Im pretty sure they just gave us the curry sauce. The egg was ok, could've been a little runnier but was still tasty. Im still interested in their breakfast items so wouldn't mind coming back to try those out!

Returned for their omurice, they are consisently perfect! The patty was juicy and the omlette was also fluffy, just perfect!

Yelp surprise success! This place looks unassuming from the outside, but is buzzing with energy inside. The staff was walking around and checking on tables frequently. The menu has a wide selection of dishes ranging from baked udon, omurice, pancakes and sandos. A perfect spot if you and your group all are craving something a little different. I don't typically order dessert for lunch, but the parfait looked too good to pass up... no regrets!

Popped in around 6 pm on a Friday for our first visit, and at first it seemed like it was going to be a chill night - just one other table seated and two big tables reserved. But by the time we left an hour later, the place had completely filled up and there was even a line waiting for tables. Definitely a surprise. My biggest dislike about our meal was actually the volume of noise. I felt like I had to yell across the table to talk to my company seated with me. The vibe reminds me a lot of Chillax, especially with the aesthetic and pricing. That said, the portions here are a bit smaller. Still, the menu is super unique, which I really liked. It's not the usual fare, and that made choosing kind of fun. Ordering was super simple with the QR code at the table. The staff mostly focused on bringing water, food, and clearing plates. Some of them seemed a bit awkward, but nothing too major. Even payment is self-serve as you just walk up to the register. Heads up, there's a 5% discount if you pay with cash, which is a nice little bonus. My favorite dishes tonight were the daily special (Creamy Miso Udon) and the Matcha Lava Cake. The udon was rich and flavorful, though I wish it had more protein in it. Still, it was a nice touch that they give you white rice to mix with the leftover sauce. The matcha lava cake was sweeter than I expected but absolutely delicious. I'd definitely get it again, even if it's a bit on the pricey side. The Keto Salad, Garden Salad, and Omurice were just okay. Not bad, but nothing I'd rush to order again. That said, the chicken katsu that came with the Omurice was surprisingly good. It was crispy, light, and not greasy at all. The souffle pancakes tasted a lot like egg whites, more than pancakes, which I didn't prefer. All in all, a solid spot with some standout dishes and a cool menu. The presentation is also very nice! Just be ready for a crowd if you're going around dinner time.

Heard good things about this brunch spot and since it was still relatively new we decided to check this spot out. It's a nice cozy spot and great to have conversations and small get togethers. Service was quick, presentation was nice but food was mediocre. I got the katsu sandwich while my husband got the omurice/katsu and we got the pancakes to share. The pancakes were very undercooked and almost raw tasting, I've had other fuwa fuwa pancakes before and understand the texture/structure of it (light, fluffy and giggly) but we both agree it didn't meet the basics.

I recently visited this place in its soft opening phase. The restaurant is spacious and you order by QR code. We tried their caramel hojicha and regular lattes and were all good. The Omurice was not gooey as the egg did not spread but nevertheless it was tasty with a side of their special curry sauce. It's a good place to chill with friends with free wifi. The staff were also friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back to try more items on the menu.

Recently discovered this (relatively) new restaurant for Japanese omurice, udon, & soufflé pancakes in Richmond Hill, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! I've never had omurice before, but watching the creamy omelette open and slowly cover the rice as I made that first slice -- what a mouthwatering sight! The chicken katsu was delicious as well! Perhaps not the best katsu I've ever had, but it was crispy and not overly battered. I opted for the curry sauce, while my friend got the hayashi (savoury beef/mushroom) sauce. We preferred the curry - it paired better with the chicken katsu and omelette. Also tried their promotional special: the sake ochazuke. I've seen something similar in vlogs before - it's a lighter dish that combines a super crispy rice ball, furikake, salmon (cooked perfectly) with a light savoury sauce. The idea is that you taste the dish first, then pour the green tea over the rice & salmon, allowing the tea flavour to seep into the rice & salmon. Don't skip their desserts either! The soufflé pancakes were so soft & airy like a Japanese cheese, and they paired so well with the citrusy syrup. My favourite was the Shiratama parfait - rich matcha ice cream paired with red bean, mochi, a wafer roll, & corn flakes (the crunchy texture worked SO well!). Service was attentive & friendly, even though it was one mostly main server attending to several tables :)

It's was surprisingly really busy for a late Saturday evening! There is seating for both large and smaller parties. Decent menu options, from sandwiches to noodles dishes available. They have a variety of drinks to pick from as well. The katsu sandwich was fresh and crispy, sauce was a prefect touch. Drinks were really light for those that can't do strong carbonation

I came for dinner and the cafe was almost full. It was busy on a Friday evening. It was scan to order. There were quite a variety of food and drinks, coffee, plus desserts. We ordered the steak rice, chicken karaage, Japanese style chicken wings. It was quite good and price was reasonable. The service was good as the waitress kept refilling my water. The cafe was nice and bright, it would be nice during the afternoon to work from the cafe.

Tried the katsu omurice, katsu udon, and houjicha. Mediocre food and mediocre service not worth the price they charge. Will not return.

I bombarded them with questions over email, they didn't leave a single one unanswered, they were quick to respond and very accommodating. The patience in answering multiple emails, questions and follow up questions is how I knew my experience here would be good. The good - The alcoholic drink options were okay, the variety wasn't large but the cocktails and mocktails were good. Food was good too. The karaoke was a bit confusing to navigate at first but we got the hang of it. There's something for everyone here and coming in a large group definitely made it worth it.

We ordered the Grilled Sausage, Beef, Pork Belly, Lamb Skewers, and Charcoal Grilled Oysters. The skewers were all solid, better than most places I've tried, and I especially enjoyed their spicy seasoning blend that adds great flavour to the BBQ meats. Surprisingly, the grilled sausage was my favourite, it was juicy with a nice snap and a slightly sweet yet savoury taste. The lamb, however, was a bit too gamy for my liking. The Charcoal Grilled Oysters were tasty but felt a bit overpriced for the portion size, garnished with the usual chilli and garlic sauce you find at most BBQ spots. Service was decent, with food arriving fairly quickly (around 15 minutes) after ordering via QR code. The seating is a little tight and the chairs are on the low side, but still comfortable enough. Getting seated right away in the evening is nearly impossible, so I recommend calling ahead or arriving early to secure a spot. The bar's cozy atmosphere enhanced by the dim lighting, wooden decor, and playful wall doodles adds to the overall experience.
