Always love the cakes/pies from la Rocca! They always taste delicious and fresh. Way better than getting it from the grocery stores. Highly recommend.

Mango coconut was really good! Service was friendly and cake is beautiful. Wish i could have more as it really does have traces of peanuts

My first time visiting the creative kitchen as I was only aware of the production facility a block south. What a treat to visit them on National Cake day and enjoying one of the decadent slice of Tuxedo Royale. I haven't had this cake in years and it is as moist and flavourful as I had remembered but it was also very soft which made it so much better. I also got 2 more delectable creations from their wide selection - pistachio tiramisu and key lime tart. Both are exquisite. All their small cakes range $7 to $9. They also have cookies, chocolates and large cakes too. Unfortunately no seating area inside but it compensates with wonderful service, creative ambiance and a viewing window to see their open kitchen. I would definitely go again Edit/ add: pistachio tiramisu is creamy, not a lot of nutty flavour but too sweet. Still a good choice if enjoyed with tea or black coffee

When it comes to birthday cakes, La Rocca is well known for decadent and beautiful cakes. They sell their cakes at grocery stores, so when it's time to celebrate a friend's birthday, La Rocca is my go to choice. This past weekend, I was in the area and decided to make a stop. The store is a large, open concept where you can see employees decorating desserts. There is a large display case in the front showcasing their cakes, cupcakes, and macarons. The store was quite busy on a Sunday morning. I picked up the nutty chocolate crunch cake as an early birthday cake. It was super decadent. The cake is enclosed in a sturdy cake box and fits snugly in a paper bag. Although local grocery stores carry La Rocca cakes, they don't carry all flavors of cakes. The best option to find the flavor that you're looking for is to visit the creative kitchen stores.

I love the cakes here at La Rocca. It is quite spacious place and have tables that allow you to sit in and enjoy the desserts. The look of the cakes are unique and I love the Xmas version individual cakes. Pretty cute. Lemon tart is also the best. Price is reasonable. Location is close to 404 and across From Richmond Green park. Definitely a place to celebrate and enjoy sweet dessert with family and friends!

Consistent 4 stars for me! I love the desserts they have, it seems like prices have maybe gone up since the start of the pandemic? One of my new recent discoveries is there confetti cake! It's perfect for birthdays and I've tried both the tiny dessert and full cake version. They have the unfrosted sides which is very trendy right now, and the cake tastes amazing!

Of course La Rocco Creative Kitchen would be a 5/5 in my books. Exactly what I expected and more! La rocca creative kitchen is a bakery that offers a selection of cupcakes, pastries, cakes and coffee. They welcome you at the counter giving great advice and suggestions. In the photos my girlfriends chose a raspberry chocolate mousse gnache, coconut mango cheesecake, and a lemon mini cupcake! Deeeeeeeeeeelish!!!!! Not the first time I've been here; and definitely not the last. Their deserts are baked to an art and paid close attention to. Flavours don't overpower one another, they compliment one another. Would definitely come back!!

look forward to tasting cute creations @laroccacakes each holiday season and they never disappoint! Pictured is their Pistachio Festive Cube, that is made with pistachio mousse, cassis anglaise, pistachio praline and gluten-free vanilla sponge. The cake was so soft and fresh that it no longer held its shape once I cut a small piece for the photo (see second photo).

I love the presentation of their cakes and chocolate bonbons - they all look so nice and pretty with stunning layers inside! Almost too pretty to eat! The flavours are so strong and rich too! To celebrate the Lunar New Year, they made a Lucky Mandarin mini cake with amazing layers inside. Starting from the top layer, there is mandarin mousse, oolong tea cream in the middle, chocolate pearls, and a sponge cake at the bottom! The white chocolate pearls add such a nice crunch to the cake! I love how rich the mandarin orange flavour is, it gives the cake a refreshing citrus-y taste! In Chinese, mandarin oranges are called "kam", which sounds similar to gold, so it's a fruit that brings luck and wealth in the new year! Along with a gold chocolate coin on top and gold pearls, this mini cake is almost too pretty to eat! For Valentine's Day, they had a very beautiful Love Dome! The dark chocolate mousse was so creamy and rich! Paired with the raspberry jelly and pomegranate cream, the combination was just perfect and not too sweet at all. At the bottom, there is a layer of moist chocolate sponge cake and bits of almond adding a nice crunch. The pink outer surrounding is made of white chocolate with a super cute little heart cut out! The chocolate bonbons are also a work of art - they are so pretty both inside and out! The Valentine's box came with 6 different flavours: Passionfruit Coconut, Caramel Crunch, Strawberry Cheesecake, Lemon Meringue Pie, Yuzu Dark Chocolate, and Chocolate Raspberry. 1) Passionfruit Coconut: This chocolate has a layer of passionfruit jelly in the middle and little bits of shredded coconut pieces at the bottom too! The chocolate part itself also had a nice citrus-y flavour similar to the yuzu one! 2) Caramel Crunch: I love that in the center of the chocolate, there is a nice crunchy meringue-like texture! There is also some caramel as well, but it is not too overly sweet! This one was definitely one of my favourites of all the flavours in the box! 3) Strawberry Cheesecake: I was surprised how much this actually tasted like strawberry cheesecake! The white part of the chocolate had a strong cheesecake flavour and mixed with the strawberry on top, makes a great combo! 4) Lemon Meringue Pie: This chocolate has such a powerful citrus lemon flavour! I loved how there is a white marshmallow-y textured layer at the top which is almost like the meringue part of the lemon meringue pie! It even has a thin layer of crumbs at the bottom to represent the pie crust! So amazed with how detailed this chocolate is! 5) Yuzu Dark Chocolate: The citrus-y yuzu really adds a nice punch in flavours to this chocolate! It is also lined with a dark chocolate layer at the bottom! 6) Chocolate Raspberry: Although this one doesn't have any visible layers, the strong raspberry flavour is actually infused in the chocolate! It is so smooth inside and with a refreshing kick of raspberry!

Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse cake! Their hazelnut cube in cake form! If you're looking for an amazing glossy cake - this is it!

It's a refresh on my favourite bakery in town - not a joke! While planning my wedding they were the first vendor I knew I had to secure for my cake! Any special occasions in the family, or just because - my family will go to La Rocca and pick up a favourite or whatever is new. Now that we're staying home a lot more our visits have slowed, but I'd say previously we were stopping by for a family-of-five portion of cakes at least once a month. If you're stuck on what to get - the hazelnut cube, yuzu dome, and whatever seasonal tart is in store are great starters. If you're looking for a full round cake but looking for something more interesting than classic cake flavours, consider the Jamocha Almond Fudge or their seasonal Greatest Hits cakes. One very important note of caution *PLEASE READ* La Rocca's offering is traditional Italian bakery with a modern twist. If you are looking for something Japanese style (read: light, airy, fluffy, not too sweet) you will be very disappointed. I cannot express how many times people I've introduced La Rocca to say their cake is great except it's "too sweet" - only to find out at the end of the conversation they thought cheesecakes should be like Uncle Tetsu and cakes should be sold by the pound. This is not it! And yes - this is the same brand you see at the grocery store. The more generic cakes are made from their factory there and they are just as good so long as you get them fresh. Just don't be fooled - grocery stores will put their own look-alike bakery item side by side with the La Rocca items! Be sure to look carefully for their signature cardboard cake base. The Creative Kitchen will have much more unique items as well as smaller cakes and tartlets exclusively though, so it's a whole other experience! Our most recent discovery was their introduction of the hazelnut cake - the Creative Kitchen's classic hazelnut cube, but in a full cake form. We saw it on display and snapped it up before there was even a sign printed to say what it was! We weren't enthused by the thin crispy layer as it contrasted from the hazelnut mousse too much, but were impressed that the cube has gotten a refresh and comes with diet-friendliness. It's December meaning another season of new items - I'll be stopping by again in the upcoming weeks! And excitingly - there's teasers about a new location opening Mid-Town Toronto, looking forward to their expanded offering!

I have always loved La Rocca cakes, especially the Caramel Crunch that I picked up the grocery store. Upon walking in, I was surprised to find that the cafe is HUGE! They also have free wifi and many outlets for their guests. I was also AMAZED by the selection. They had everything: cakes, macarons, chocolates, cookies, squares, marshmallows, cupcakes, drinks... Many prepacked things to takeaway as gifts. Because we went on Easter Sunday, I got an Easter bunny cupcake. They had many Easter themed desserts which were all ADORABLE! Each of the cakes were beautifully made and creatively designed. My friends picked up some different cakes as well as drinks. Two of us found our dessert to be too sweet (Hazelnut cube and Easter 2.0 cupcake) which is why 1 star is lost for this review. The bar had some self-serve cups and water. This is definitely a place I see myself coming back to and highly recommend as a place to visit. There are so many options to choose from and they offer many seasonal products to rotate through.

First time ordering online & visiting this place! While googling the best cakes in Markham, La Rocca popped up on the search and I decided to give it a try. It was a breeze ordering through their website just 2 days before I needed the cake! Reasonable prices, pictures as shown was the 8" cake with generous ingredients and just the perfect texture for $34. If you want it delivered, you pay an extra $10 online during checkout. I had originally planned to pick-up on Monday, but they quickly emailed me within an hour to advise they're closed on Monday's but can re-schedule pick up for Sunday. With my busy back to back work schedule, their prompt communications via e-mail worked perfectly for me! This place is massive, and decorated so nicely! They also sell "Papyrus" looking cards/candles/small gifts inside as well. Two thumbs up for their beautiful cake box/bag packaging. My brother absolutely loved the cake, and of course, the rest of my family too. I'm not a big fan of crazy sweet desserts, and they made it just right. From first impressions, to presentation, to cake tasting, they've definitely won my heart! It looks like we're ordering our birthday cakes from here for the rest of the year with 3 more birthdays to come!

Omg came for an event and have visited a few times since. I think this store in going to be entirely responsible for my empty bank account and requiring a bigger size pants!! But in a good delicious sweet way!! Location: In Richmond Hill in a plaza that you wouldn't expect to find it in. Parking: Suburbs plaza- lots The Goods: Cakes and pastries and other sweet delicacies. Oh my.. They make pastries, macaroons, cakes, and coffees and lattes. The display cases is filled fresh every morning and is emptied by customers every night! You can get any of the cakes in their catalogue (all the ones you buy at Longos and other groceries) baked fresh for you. They just need 48 hours notice. May. Suggest anything with hazel nuts. My kryptonite! Everything delicious. Decor: They have tables and chairs so you can sit and sample your purchases. Make sure you get a latte!! Staff: I've loved everyone I've come in contact with. Everyone is so nice!! So yeah. I'm coming back soon because I love the goods!!

The only fruit they had was mango and strawberries. We opted for a Mango Bingsu, based on the photos displayed and we enjoy the sweetness and softness of mango. Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think that it would be served with frozen mango which is usually used for blending smoothies!! My partner did not want to return the barely edible bingsu. The favourite on the dessert was the single small scoop of green tea ice-cream which formed the "leaf" of the strawberry decoration. I truly do recommend getting your bingsu fix elsewhere. When I drove here the first time, I used Waze and didn't arrive successfully. Whether using a driving app, such as Google Maps or Waze, it led me to the wrong building. Both referenced building A. The address has this store being a part of building D. It's basically the building across from A, but the east side. In other words, you are driving along the third-last aisle that's parallel to Leslie. Waze has corrected the issue. Google Maps hasn't. Use Waze to get here. There were plenty of parking spots in front of the store. It was shaded there. I backed into a spot both times and walked in. I got a different female staffers on both visits. They were both helpful and warm. I have had the matcha KitKat mochi, which had bits of KitKat. Each mochi is individually enclosed in a box. It feels like opening a jewellery box. The mochi is delicate and a decent size. I am not a huge whipped cream person. However, the KitKat was broken up into two pieces and surrounded by the whipped cream. The filling was amazing! It was light and yummy. The mochi had matcha powder on top. It had a subtle matcha taste. The mochi was delicate, but still strong enough to hold in the filling. It was so soft and almost malleable. It was the best mochi that I have had in eons! This visit, I got a six-pack of these mochi flavours: - Mango - Pineapple coconut - Lychee - Golden kiwi - Nutella banana - Strawberry banana If you get six or more mochi, you save a bit. If you pay with cash, the tax is waived off. The mango mochi was awesome! It had diced mango mixed in with the whipped cream. It was dreamy. I got to sample a strawberry marshmallow bar during my first visit. It's not really a bar. It's more of a square. I loved the strawberry flavour. It was slightly sweet. The marshmallow is an experience. It's not squishy like a typical marshmallow. It's crispy on the outside, but softish and moist inside. It's pretty cool. It's not quite dehydrated, but it's halfway there. I got the honeydew marshmallow bars in a little bag last time. They had a natural sweetness to it thanks to the honeydew. It was so good. This time, I got a jar of strawberry marshmallow bars. They still taste as yummy as the first time I had one. Delicious! I ended up getting a couple of cake rolls during my first visit. Both flavours, the taro lychee and ube coconut, were still available this return visit. I rattled off everything that I had bought the last time that the nice woman during my most recent visit gave me a chocolate Oreo cake on the house. Wow! I wasn't expecting that kind gesture at all. The chocolate Oreo cake is decadent. There's chocolate pudding in the middle that is divine! I loved the other two flavours, but the chocolate Oreo is now my new favourite flavour. This place accepts credit and debit cards as payment methods. I used a credit card both times. You can tip if you'd like. All desserts are slightly sweet, with the mochi being a touch sweeter than the cake rolls. If you are like me who doesn't like overly sugary items, the desserts at this store are for you. This place is such a gem. I originally had one mochi. It was not enough! I wanted more and returned to indulge some more. If you love mochi and unique desserts, like marshmallow bars, come here. You won't be disappointed. (333)

The seating was a little odd, cute little stools in line with the honeycomb decor as opposed to chairs. The space felt really open, like your conversation can be heard all around. It was clean and very spacious. The staff on our visit were great. I would definitely return if it were closer to me, and I will totally check out other locations.

They're tucked in the back of the venue and lights are always off, so it's kinda awkward to walk into a hidden corner full of people. The renovation kinda matches Kaleido's industrial vibe. Seats are limited but you could sit near the "stage". They do have some special drinks like the apple crumble latte and koji latte. We got the iced ovaltine latte, hot koji latte and hot roasted latte. The koji latte (espresso, brown sugar, fermented rice and milk) came in the same maybe 8 oz glass as the ovaltine? For $7.5, I would have expected a bit more and not in a glass especially for a hot drink. The fermented rice made the drink taste like a hot chocolate though. The roasted oolong latte and ovaltine were just ok, nothing spectacular. If you're a cafe hopper, it's worth checking out, but not an everyday coffee place.

The atmosphere is cozy, great for groups or being solo sitting at the coffee bar to interact with the barista. Coffee Now located at Kaleido event space which is well decorated with great nice, very instagramable. My favourite is the pour over coffee and the beans selection is great. There are different beans rotation regularly. The barista is well trained to make a tasty cup of pour over coffee. The experience was excellent, you are able to smell the beans after grind. I also enjoy their flat white, dirty. My kid is tea lover and love their oolong or matcha latte. Coffee Now also pairs up with local patisserie shop to bring very delicious desserts to pair with their coffee. My favourite are the Purin (Japanese pudding) and cheesecake.
