This is my second time here after coming in for the yelp event. Lilian was there to assist me and I got everything that was left at 5:45pm (they closed at 6pm). I called before coming in to see what was left. Lilian was so kind to help even though it was almost closing time. Paid 3.50 for each mochi because we got more than 6 of them (pineapple cocount, matcha kitkat, nutella banana, and golden kiwi). She also threw in a couple of mochis extra since end of day. She also went to the back to give me and my kids a sample of mango marshmallows (it was so good). I think I'm addicted to these mochis. I am coming back again. Take my money!

I came here for the Yelp event. I'm not particularly a huge dessert persin but I love this place. Service - 5/5: Lillian was super kind and helpful. I wasn't sure if I could only choose from the ones with the yelp sign. She said I could choose any flavour. She had a fresh batch of honey dew mini marshmellow bars and she let us try. The honeydew powdered dusting enhanced the flavour. Ambiance - 5/5: nice and bright. Minimalistic approach. She doesn't put a lot on display at a time so if you have trouble picking between options, it helps. Everything is clearly labelled. She also gave us a little gift. Food - 5/5: mochi - we got the mango one. I don't actually think it's icecream inside. I think it's fresh cream. There's a good filling to mochi ratio. The mangoes were nice and sweet. Chocolate marshmellows - marshmellows in general was a present surprise. It's not the normal texture that you expect. It reminds me of a crispy/crunch nougat. The chocolate was more mellow in flavour compared to the honeydew. I also like to note that there are 2 layers of wrapping which helps keep the freshness of the marshmellows for longer. There are nuts in the marshmellows (at least the 2 that we tried), just for any readers who have a nut allergy. Overall, the desserts are not overly sweet and I totally appreciate that. Overall: 5/5. I would definitely come back and try from flavours, especially after reading the reviews below and my positive experience.

AMAZING MOCHI! Legit was so impressed with the mochi here. We got Nutella banana, durian, mango, and matcha KitKat. All of the flavors were soooo good and had fresh fruit in them. The mochi was super soft and thin and was the perfect amount of sweetness. Get a whole six pack or more. Like really, you'll be wanting more after your first bite. The owner is sooo nice also.

Usually people will go for either Duo or Full House for dessert around that area, but time I want to find other desserts hence I turned to Yelp and came across this little Hidden Gem. There is no big fancy sign, plain interior, however, you will come across the most fluffy, creamy mochi desserts. There are many favours to choose from and probably have difficulties to pick because they taste so good. Definitely will go back again and will try their cake next time.

I've ordered here quite a few times they have the best mochis super soft and fresh. My favorite is the durian mochi strong flavor and consistent is the key. And now you can walk in for quick desert to go vs only online orders which you have to schedule a time before. Love their mochis!!

These desserts were absolutely lovely. I would recommend eating them as soon as possible. When you first get them, the cream is so smooth inside and the mochi skin is so soft on the outside. The flavours were also very delicious. I was surprised to bite into the strawberry mochi and find kiwi inside! I loved the interesting flavours that were available. The Oreo and Matcha Kit Kat mochis really took me by surprise. I had never tried them in a mochi dessert before. There was no hassle with pick up. The owner is very friendly and kind. There is no dining inside, it is a kitchen where the desserts are created. I would recommend trying this place out for mochi desserts.

We arrived at the small plaza with a small parking lot today (Saturday) around 10:15 a.m. & luckily enough, it was a quiet start to the day as parking was plentiful though I can imagine it being a bit hectic during busy times. This location (there are 2 others) is in the plaza right next to the Richmond Hill location for AI Sushi. As soon as we entered, we were promptly greeted & seated at a nice corner table. Shortly after that, a nice gentleman came to placed a QR code at our table asking if we've been here before. After we said no, he explained to us how to order using the QR code. We can all scan and order individually then it shows up as one large order for the table. I think he said he can split the bill if needed & we would just need to let him know. The place itself was nice. A bit above casual with around 20 tables inside. Well light and seemed clean. I ordered the Thai red curry pasta with clams, hubby and our friend both ordered the chicken and waffles, and my cousin ordered the mushroom benedict. We all ordered a drink (hubby a flat white with the rest ordering some type of latte). Our food came pretty quickly. My pasta was delicious and had good heat (spicy kick) to it & the red curry sauce was full of deep rich flavors. I enjoyed the clams but they were a bit small so it's taste got overpowered by the sauce. I would have preferred it if they gave me fewer but larger clams. I had a taste of my hubby's fried chicken & it was really good. The batter was well seasoned & crispy but not oily and the chicken thigh was moist. The staff know what they are doing there. We were asked whether we are enjoying our food & they always made sure our water glasses were full. I highly recommend this place & am looking forward to my next visit there!

Determined to have some brunch on mothers day, we found Cafe Bon Bon right around the corner. We were pleasantly surprised to hear upon calling that they would be able to seat us right away! We anticipated a chaotic parking situation being familiar with the usually busy Times Square plaza but was very easy to find parking this morning. Beautiful space with modern decor. Always happy to get a booth! We got the chicken and waffle - tender, juicy chicken that's perfectly crispy on the outside. These were served with soft warm waffles and a side of syrup. We got a nice flat white. The braised beef breakfast sandwich was so tasty and went great with the Bernaise sauce (like a deconstructed eggs Benny). Would have preferred the mixed greens on the outside of the sandwich as a side salad rather than in the sandwich. It was served with a decent portion of thick cut home fries, bonus they add yams in the mix! Our first time trying a soufflé pancake. Came with 3 on the plate (not pictured as we started eating before I could take a photo lol). The texture takes some getting used to as it's almost too soft (batter-like) but they were perfectly sweet accompanied by a nice thick chocolate sauce and SMALL pieces of fruit (the banana had a nice sweet crunchy sugary glaze). Wouldve given 5 stars but but the pancake couldve been served with larger pieces of fruit or atleast way more of it. It became more of a garnish than a topping as the fruit were so so soooooo tiny! Overall will be returning to try their soft shell crab options!!

The restaurant was 3/4 empty and I asked for a table further away from the door. The male waiter insisted we sit beside the cash after I kept asking to sit in the back. Two more request and he kept pointing at the table he wanted to give, I caved. Note, there was a whole back row of empty tables in the L shaped dining area which would be further from the windy cold day outside. Nope, I do not get it. My companion asked for eggs and bacon with another two sides of bacon, the waiter did not seem to want to take the order for the two extra sides, he said each side was 4 pieces. Yes, we understand and insisted several times before he wrote the order. I wanted the bacon and sausage poutine but if I could switch the fries for potato hash. That was a challenge. I said we'd cover any substitution fees. It was the bacon and hash with extra sausage basically. Thanks for the whole onion mixed into the hash. Onion to potato ratio 1:1. The orders didn't come at the same time. The two sides of bacon came first and some time later his meal and my meal came. Odd. It was all pretty mediocre food. Who knew breakfast could be so difficult. It didn't feel welcoming. It felt like we were annoying him. I will say the female behind the counter was nice. She topped up our coffee frequently. There was another person preparing drinks and we only saw him come out from behind the counter when there were no drink orders. It took a while for her to clear our table. At one point she stood behind the counter with a look on her face that could be best described as '...what do I do first..' What was ordered: Kale Caesar Salad - fresh croutons with generous bits of bacon; very lightly dressed Chicken and Waffles - 2 drumsticks and a breast served with 4 pieces of waffle and a small side salad Shrimp Eggs Benny - 2 deep fried shrimp patties; served with baby potatoes and a side salad The chicken was very crispy and still juicy but based on the colour of the fry the oil needs to be changed. It came with 2 small containers of syrup (not real maple syrup) and some that looked like plum sauce. The potatoes on the eggs Benny were good but when you deep fry the shrimp patty you wonder what other filler there might be in the patties. Service was decent despite the fact that there was one person who served and cleaned. An okay experience....not sure it warrants another return.

The yuzu sauce was refreshing paired well with chicken. The dish came with a side of salad which helped balance out the heaviness of the fried chicken and mochi. We also ordered their pistachio souflle pancake and it was delectable. It was light, airy and fluffy. The pistachio sauce was creamy, nutty and aromatic without being too sweet. I also liked how it came with fruits on the side. I also ordered their hojicha latte, which was one of the best ones I've had. It was smooth, creamy, and had just the right amount of tea flavor. The milk foam had the perfect velvety texture and it came with a pretty latte art. Overall, I really enjoyed the brunch they offer here. It is a pretty simple cafe, so don't expect it to be all decked out because it's not those instagramable cafes. But the food were solid and it's a great option for a small group brunch as they don't have many tables and they don't have large tables at all (the best is to 4 people or less).
