Love their flat white, tried their brunch dishes several times , but I usually do grab and go coffee from the restaurant !

A great brunch spot located in Richmond Hill. Seating is limited and I can imagine how busy it can get on the weekends. Luckily, we visited on a weekday with no queue. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 mains. The chicken and waffles portion was massive, with 3 drumsticks and 3 waffles, and so so crispy. The salmon eggs benny was a delight as well. The matcha latte and hojicha latte were made perfectly, with some beautiful latte art!! The servers were so kind and the ambiance was simple & welcoming.

This is a yummy brunch spot in RHill! The staff was nice and they're also fast. The food came out just right and was also very filling so portion is good too.

Overall, the experience at the Richmond Hill location was decent, but I prefer the Markham location. The primary difference was the efficiency and quality of service, Markham is noticeably quicker and more attentive. During our visit to this location on a weekday (when it wasn't particularly busy), service was quite slow. It took a while for our order to be taken, and the food took even longer to arrive. That said, the food itself was still very good, the chicken and waffles remains my go-to dish. They have a good amount of seats, can get busy on weekends so I'd recommend checking the waitlist before going.

Returned to Alchemy - this time for something a bit sweeter! I did not expect such a huge portion for $16 French toast, nor did I expect the bacon. This dish is not only perfect for sharing, but it's also incredibly well-balanced in terms of sweet and savoury (shaved Parmesan and bacon) flavours. I love that this place isn't too crowded or loud, so it keeps that relaxing, neighbourhood ambiance that makes for a wonderful dining experience. Plus, I can't say no to anyone who uses Pilot Coffee Roasters.

It's been awhile since I have been to Alchemy, and it was my first time at this location. I remember the chicken and waffles being really good and so I got the duck and waffles this time. The duck was fried nicely, but the waffles were really disappointing. I'm not sure if it's just the location or if the recipe has changed, but the waffles are now very airy and dry, unlike the soft and fluffy ones that I used to really like. The hojicha latte was also kind of bland. With more and more brunch options popping up I hope Alchemy continues to improve despite their popularity.

Open throughout Christmas time. Instagram has latest updates when checking for hours. Duck waffles are amazing, drinks are exceptional (however brewed coffees have no refills). Environment is cozy and hipster, though limited seating (seven 4-people tables and three 2-people tables) . Nice for a get together with friends, small family brunch or breakfast date.

Came here on a Saturday at around noon for lunch as a party of 2. My friend was running late for approx 15 mins and they didn't hustle me to order food, despite they were 90% at capacity - that was super nice of them! I ordered the housemade sausage benny. The sausage definitely had a spicy kick to it, I would say on a scale of 3, it was medium spice. The eggs were nice and runny which complemented the patty and English muffin well. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned, with a slightly crispy exterior. My friend ordered chicken and waffles and she enjoyed her meal.

I love their eggs Benedict, paired with deep fried potatoes and salad. Also we ordered coffee. Delicious and the staff were efficient, food came pretty quick. We will come back again to try other dishes.

Alchemy Coffee 4361 Hwy 7 Unit 1, Unionville, ON This little cozy cafe is def one of my fav brunch places and certainly a neighbourhood Featuring brunch dishes with a bit of a twist - they have an extensive menu that caters to every craving! From pork belly to chicken/duck waffles , to pasta and duck/shrimp Benny, there is something for everyone! Their coffees and lattes are also spot on and they do also have tea lattes (London fog, matcha) as well They do get busy but I love how they have a Yelp waitlist so that I don't have to head there until my table is almost ready. Not the most kid friendly space since it's such a small capacity but they do have a second location in Richmond hill with a bigger space!

New location at Leslie and 16th. Better, brighter and cleaner than the original location. Joined the waiting list on a Saturday before noon and the wait was surprisingly short. We only waited max 15 mins vs an hour for the other nearby brunch places. The barista was amazing! All the latte arts were so cute and pretty! All the drinks were great but the hojicha and matcha were a bit on the sweeter side. Food came quick as well and it was delicious. Just a bit weird to see 3 drumsticks for the waffles. Debit or cash only.

Came by for coffee the other day and it was a decent experience. Parking was readily available in the private strip mall lot. There were numerous high end vehicles in the lot. ;) The Richmond Station location seems much cleaner and upscale than the Markham location which is getting long in the tooth... Ordered an iced mocha and it was decent. The espresso was smooth and the mocha wasn't too sweet. Staff was talented and cordial. There was plenty of seating for dining in and/or working. ~$7 for an iced mocha.

Congrats Alchemy on opening your 2nd location. I haven't been to their Unionville location for quite a while as it was always too crowded with long lineups and a very small dine in area. This new location is much bigger so on both my visits recently I didn't have to wait for a table. I'm sure after a few months, this place will soon be packed! Not sure if I should really be telling everyone about it! The service was great as the servers were attentive with refilling our water. I enjoyed my latte and Peameal Benny. I really like their new location but I would suggest that they add a bit more space between the 2 person tables. I felt a bit cramped especially since my friend and I had the table in the middle. I will definitely come back but will come earlier when it's not so crowded.

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

We arrived at the small plaza with a small parking lot today (Saturday) around 10:15 a.m. & luckily enough, it was a quiet start to the day as parking was plentiful though I can imagine it being a bit hectic during busy times. This location (there are 2 others) is in the plaza right next to the Richmond Hill location for AI Sushi. As soon as we entered, we were promptly greeted & seated at a nice corner table. Shortly after that, a nice gentleman came to placed a QR code at our table asking if we've been here before. After we said no, he explained to us how to order using the QR code. We can all scan and order individually then it shows up as one large order for the table. I think he said he can split the bill if needed & we would just need to let him know. The place itself was nice. A bit above casual with around 20 tables inside. Well light and seemed clean. I ordered the Thai red curry pasta with clams, hubby and our friend both ordered the chicken and waffles, and my cousin ordered the mushroom benedict. We all ordered a drink (hubby a flat white with the rest ordering some type of latte). Our food came pretty quickly. My pasta was delicious and had good heat (spicy kick) to it & the red curry sauce was full of deep rich flavors. I enjoyed the clams but they were a bit small so it's taste got overpowered by the sauce. I would have preferred it if they gave me fewer but larger clams. I had a taste of my hubby's fried chicken & it was really good. The batter was well seasoned & crispy but not oily and the chicken thigh was moist. The staff know what they are doing there. We were asked whether we are enjoying our food & they always made sure our water glasses were full. I highly recommend this place & am looking forward to my next visit there!

I bought a couple of buns as a customer since then and I'm hooked! Bun Appetit is located at Commerce Gate. It's located closer to Highway 7. It's around the corner from Kinton Ramen, which I have been to a handful of times during the pandemic to pick up good eats. I found a parking spot steps away from Bun Appetit on a Wednesday evening at around 6:15 pm and backed in to it. It's easier to find parking when it's a weekday, in the afternoon. Bun Appetit's breads are naturally fermented for 168 hours. I liked that all buns and breads are gut-friendly and low on the glycemic index. I'm always interested in lower sugar options. I have sampled these items: - Baguette - Whole wheat walnut vegan bun - Lychee bun - Raisin earl grey bun - Oreo chocolate delight bun - Matcha pistachio pretzel - Whole wheat German pretzel - Yeast loaf with Nutella They were all delicious. They were soft and airy. My favourites were the whole wheat walnut vegan bun and the Oreo chocolate delight bun (also known as the messy hands bun). The former had whole walnuts that were so crunchy and fresh. The bread was chewy and soft. The messy hands bun used dark chocolate. It was also fluffy and soft. It lived up to its name. I had messy fingers just eating a morsel! It has 9 g of sugar, which is practically nothing being fermented. I liked how unique the flavours were. I loved the smell of the lychee bun. I wish it had lychee pieces in it. Instead, it was wine-infused and that flavour overpowered everything. I loved the yeast loaf with Nutella as a dessert option. I nearly picked up a loaf after this event was over! As a parting snack, I got the truffle mushroom one. It was the last one. I love mushrooms. It was super delicious with truffle oil, enoki mushrooms, spinach, garlic, and melted cheeses on top. The bun was soft and perfect. It was such a gourmet bun. I have since returned to get more buns: - Strawberry beetroot - Chocolate arancia The strawberry beetroot bun was fluffy. I decided to cut it in half. To my surprise and joy, it had whole strawberries in it. Wow and yay! I love fruit, but I wasn't expecting so much of it in this bun. I loved it. It was naturally sweet from the strawberries. The beetroot wasn't noticeable in flavour. I feel it added colour to the triangular bun more than anything. The chocolate arancia was equally as unique slicing it in half. This bun had candied orange bits in it. It tasted so good with the chocolate morsels on top and the subtle chocolate flavour in the bun itself. It was delicious. I need to return for more. I have found the buns of my dreams, which sounds odd and funny. It's all true! I paid with a credit card. You can register your phone number to collect points towards goodies. I'll be back. (185)
