    Lotus Biscoff Pancakes
    Yoland E.

One of the best brunch experiences I have had in the city! Delicious high quality food, attentive service, and a cozy ambiance make this a spot I would definitely recommend for brunch with friends. My favourite dish was the lotus biscoff pancakes, decadent caramely sauce and ice cream were balanced by the light and fluffy pancakes. Will definitely get again!

Visited Café N One (North York) last weekend with my bro -- it's a spot I return to occasionally thanks to its consistent food quality and convenient location. This time we were in the mood for dessert and ordered: 1. Lavender Soufflé Pancake - pleasantly surprised by how well-balanced the flavor was. I was worried the lavender might be too strong, but it blended beautifully with the cream. 2. NEW Raspberry Hazelnut Meringue - a standout! Refreshingly different from sponge cake, with frozen raspberry and crisp meringue creating a unique texture and taste combo we loved. I've also had their Tiramisu Espresso before and really liked it -- not something you see at many cafés. Other drinks are generally solid, and I'm eyeing the Taro Coconut Latte for next time. One heads-up: it gets very crowded and noisy during weekend lunch hours -- sound tends to bounce around, and seating fills fast. Overall, a lovely spot to satisfy dessert cravings, just best enjoyed during quieter hours if you prefer a calm atmosphere.

Japanese soufflé pancakes are pricey, but worth the indulgence. This spot is a great place to hang out and enjoy some desserts and drinks in a nice and cozy atmosphere. The interior is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is on the second floor and there are lots of different options for the Japanese pancakes.

Hello gorgeous. Let's party! In one? None? You decide! It used to be Soban. Lovely place. Plenty of options on the menu. I usually come here for coffee and get work done. Menu has plenty of options: Cold or hot drinks, Alcoholic cocktails, breakfast, lunch, desserts... Soy, Almond, and oat milk available. It's great for meeting people. Strongly recommend if you're around Finch area.

I've been to Cafe N One's original location in Markham and loved it, so I was excited to check out their Willowdale spot. The food is just as good, and the ambiance is even better. The pictures on the digital menu made everything look so tempting, I wanted to order it all! The mains were delicious, with perfectly sized portions that left room for dessert. Prices are super reasonable, around $16-$20ish per dish. The unexpected highlight was the sesame lava cake, absolutely perfect for black sesame lovers! It wasn't too sweet or heavy, and the fresh cream and berries were the perfect match. You can add ice cream for $5, but honestly, it's great without it. I'll definitely be back. The only hiccup was the wait for the bill, so we paid at the counter instead. Otherwise, the service was great, especially with keeping our waters topped up.

I came with a friend on a Saturday morning, not long after it opened. The space was decently sized for a cafe, and it was fairly popular. It had a nice, relaxing vibe as well. The service was efficient but the food itself was ok. I got a crossiant and my friend got a croissant combo to share. It was fine but I might try something different next time if I were to go again. Our main reason for going was the souffle pancake, which we saw many great reviews about. However, we were disappointed in it. The texture seemed somewhat wet and not really soft and airy; it seemed more like a pudding than a souffle pancake. Perhaps we just had a not well-prepared one as everyone else's reviews say otherwise, but that was the experience we had.

Located on the second floor in a corner building. It was super buy on a weekend brunch time so make sure to make resos in advance. Service was a bit slow, with servers not being as attentive. You order through a QR code, but can't really make additional adjustments on the phone yourself (like drink upgrades), so you'll have to call over a server to help you. Here's what we got: Strawberry grapefruit soda 4/5 - Refreshing and carbonated. Great start to the meal. Pulled pork croissant 3/5 - Look wise it's beautiful. The yakiniku bbq pulled pork was okay. Paired with cucumber, onion, red cabbage, tomato, and roasted garlic mayo. Also comes with a side of potatoes and salad which were good. Chicken katsu sando 4/5 - Quite enjoyed this. It's a chicken cutlet served on white bread with purple cabbage, roasted potatoes and garlic mayo. Karaage moffle 4/5 - One of the better items I enjoyed. It's Japanese fried chicken pieces (there were only 4), served with mochi waffle, spicy mayo and miso syrup. It's their take on chicken and waffles. Wafu carbonara 2.5/5 - Probably can skip on this. Didn't think this one was that amazing. It's with thick cut smoke bacon, garlic, parm, onsen egg, japanese nori and onion. It' was a little bland and didn't really hit the spot. Overall, the food looked super colourful and pleasing to the eye. However, felt like there could have been more flavour in some of their dishes. It's a hit or miss with some. Was

came back 2nd time for main dish. ordered pork belly croissant. surprised and felt intimidated to see huge size when it arrived. but very happy how light/airy it is as i bite. the pork belly, sauce, red cabbage, etc are all great combination. nothing overpowering.pork belly itself is tender and flavorful. the red cabbage gave nice crunchy texture. when i finished, i can eat another one (but hold back myself since i want to get dessert instead).lol got the lava chocolate cake with earl grey ice cream (we choose what ice cream to pair it with). another excellent dish.strong chocolate lava with light/refreshing flavor of earl grey ice cream is perfect. the 'cake' itself is very light. definitely recommended and will be back again for another menu!! efficient and friendly service. relax ambiance (great place to hang out).

Went here for a quick dessert. Place is cozy and clean..staff are very friendly. I did try a few in the menu. Accessible by transportation it very close to Finch subway station. The lava matcha cake is a bomb. Definitely recommended.

I saw a lot of online content creators review this place. Therefore, I decided to give it a try. - This place is busy and the nearby Green P may not have space during peak hours. - The staff are energetic and prompt service. - HOJICHA LATTE: Beautiful latte art and strong HOJICHA flavour. - WAFU CARBONARA: It does not taste bad but nothing special. The spaghetti is not cooked to al dente. - MOLTEN DARK CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE: It is just the best lava cake I tried in Toronto. The food is decent and the service is good in café standard. This place may be too crowded for a date or friend gathering, as it can be noisy (not too extreme) when it is full.

A great cafe. Right at Yonge and Finch so the location is very convenient. If you are driving, parking is free at Finch on the weekends and it is just a short walk. Very accessible by subway too. When you arrive they have a QR code to join a waitlist. Or I think you can make a reservation in advance. To order food there is a QR code at the table, and you just enter your table number and place the order on your phone. The food came out surprisingly quickly. The karaage croffle was so good. The chicken was so juicy and tender. The croffle was perfect. Also tried the pork belly croissant and I don't think I'd get that again just because there was too much pork belly sauce and I didn't like the sauce that much. The house salad and potatoes were yummy though. Also had the lavender souffle pancake which came out much later than the other dishes (which was expected because it says right in their menu that it is 25 minutes to prepare. I was pretty full by the time it came out, so I don't know if that affects my thoughts about it. I thought it was good - fluffy pancake and the lavender topping was mild. One of the pancakes the bottom wasn't that fluffy, it seems like it had been overdone slightly. Although it was pretty good, I think I prefer the savoury dishes. I tried the hojicha latte at half sugar. It was pretty strong, and I liked it. By the time I got to the bottom it was really dense with the powder. Probably should have stirred more frequently throughout. If you pay by cash it is 10% off.

The lavender souffle pancake was cloud-like, airy, and jiggly. The molten dark chocolate lava cake was dense, ooey and gooey. The service was quick, the prices were reasonable, the space was inviting. Really enjoyed this cafe and definitely recommend it.

After reading reviews for both locations, this seemed to be the better one of the two, so I called up two of my friends, and we all made our way here for a Sunday brunch AFTER, I made reservations. This place is always PACKED so if you plan on coming here hungry, call ahead! -[KARAAGE CROFFLE] $19.50 Japanese Fried Chicken, Homemade Croffle with Spicy Mayo & Maple Syrup. The croffle was absolutely delicious! It was the perfect amount of crispness, with the flaky texture of a croissant. Added bonus of the karaage being perfectly fried, and seasoned. I know I'll be ordering this again haha -[TOKYO FRIES] $9.25 We started our meal with this, and it was great for sharing. Perfectly fried fries, topped with shredded seaweed, and a generous amount of mayo. YUM -[PORK BELLY CROISSANT COMBO] $16.00 Pork Kakuni, Pickle Red Cabbage, Pickle Daikon, Cilantro, Miso Honey Mustard Combo Includes Brewed Coffee, House Salad and Roasted Potatoes. The pork was definitely in the drier side for it being referred to as "pork belly" but it was well seasoned! I liked that this came with a coffee included in the price, but think I'll opt for another croissant if I were to order a combo again next time -[SPICY NEOPOLITAN RAGU + SALAD] $19.00 Italian Sausage, Tomato, Roasted Garlic, Yuzu Kosho, Penne w/ Garlic Bread (Includes: House Salad). This was a pretty hefty portion of pasta haha. The sausage is what makes this dish spicy as my less-spice-tolerant friends soon found out :') I loved it though because I like a good kick in my food -[CREME BRULEE SOUFFLE] $17.50 This was the first time I have ever tried souffle pancakes so I wasn't sure what to expect. The souffle pancake sort of tasted like the generic sponge cakes you get at Chinese bakeries :( My favorite part of this dish was the bruleed bananas that were served on the side of it -[MOLTEN DARK CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE] $10.50 :') the lava in the cake was already leaking out of it by the time they served it to us - it still tasted fine but the presentation left a lot to be desired because of that -[BLACK SESAME LATTE] $5.95 This tastes exactly like Chinese black sesame soup so I looooooved it :D 100000% coming back sooner than later to try more or their menu!

I got the matcha mango bingsu which came out to just over $20 after tax and tip. What was most disappointing was how little of a matcha taste I got from it. The base was a very sweet milky taste, and I really wish they infused the matcha directly into the shave ice itself. The matcha was just drizzled on top with matcha powder, along with some whipped cream which only diluted the matcha taste further. On the other hand, I will say they are generous with the mango topping, which were very fresh and perfectly ripe. They gave one single mochi cube which I feel they should either give more of or none at all. The environment itself is very noisy. Not sure what it is about the walls but they do not absorb sound well at all. Voices echo and bounce off the walls like crazy, it sounds like everyone is yelling and talking over eachother in there. That aside, the space and decor has a cute vibe and the self-serve water/coffee bar is a nice added touch. If I ever come back here, it would either be out of convenience or to try their drinks/a different dessert. Unfortunately the bingsu falls short in my opinion especially for the price tag. The base should resemble more of the flavour rather than rely on toppings.

The Coconut Pandan Cheesecake really stood out to me -- the pandan flavor is incredibly dense and rich, and the texture is great. The only thing is, since it's freshly made, it can be a little too moist by the time you get home. My tip: Bake it for a bit and it firms up nicely. Also, huge props on the green packaging -- it's clear they put real thought into matching the box to each flavor. It makes every new release feel special, which I really appreciate as someone who loves having something new to look forward to! The Black Sesame Tart is a must if you're a tart lover -- the tart shell itself is chef's kiss as always.
