Deserts were so amazing! And the staff was so nice :) I do wish the seating area was alittle bit better as we did have a stroller with us and seating was kind of tight, but not a major thing to take away from this dessert cafe! I would highly recommend to everyone if you love matcha! Not to sweet and matcha flavour was perfect amount!

Small, cute Japanese cafe in front of a ramen restaurant. Some coffee options, but mostly hojicha and matcha offerings. There is also a good selection of dessert bites, but didn't find any savoury options. The service was friendly and quick (admittedly it wasn't very busy). There isn't a lot of space to sit - so not really a place to go and linger.

This cafe place is so cute, very cozy.. I just passed by this place and I thought of giving it a try and I'm glad I did. The service is fast (maybe it wasn't too busy when I came). I have tried the tea and some bear puff ( I forgot what its called). Overall the tea is good. Will come back to try something else.

I was visiting Konjiki Ramen and decided to visit Saryo Cafe, which shares the same space as the ramen spot. I saw the adorable Cookies & Creme Choux Bear Puff ($7.75) and had to get it. I also grabbed an Iced Matcha Latte ($5.25) as well. I loved both items, especially the matcha latte, since it had a nice strong matcha flavour. Service was friendly as well and they have some stools along the walls if you wanted to have your items at the cafe. I did take one star off, as I do find both items pricey relative to the size of the items.

I've stopped by here pre-COVID when Konjiki and Saryo first opened and it's nice to see they are both still here post pandemic. Saryo matcha has not disappointed before and continues not to do so. Ordered a strawberry matcha soft serve in a cone (seasonal item) and loved the richness of the matcha soft serve flavour. The strawberry flavour wasn't too artificial and the tartness complimented the sweetness too. Some parts of the swirl felt like there was more strawberry than matcha and I did debate whether I should've gotten purely a matcha swirl, but that just gives me a chance to come back here again. Service was quick, it was just my indecisiveness that took a bit lol. There is minimal seating but for a Saturday afternoon there was space at the bar seats. Wouldn't be able to accommodate bigger groups / families though.

The best matcha latte I've had in Toronto so far!! So rich & not too milky It's located in the Konjiki at Yonge, and the store has limited indoor seating as it's mostly meant as a take out spot. No complaints with the service. I only wish they had more locations in the GTA!

Omg one of the best matcha ice cream I've ever had. The sponge cake was perfect I'm still dreaming about this.

The food is okay. I didnt like the ice cream but thats because i dont like tea food that much. The ube cheesecake was nice and yummy but too dry. Service is nice and the place is also connected to konjiki ramen. Theres a small seating area in the corner.

Located at the same shop front as Konjiki Ramen it is a great spot for dessert after or when in the area! They usually have matcha and houjicha flavours. I really enjoy their parfaits. However, this most recent visit was a bit disappointing. Not sure if the formulation has changed or something but the texture of the softserve is super icy and not creamy like it used to be. The matcha flavour was still there but could have been stronger.

For the price I wish it was at least filled

I love Hojicha ice-cream. It was delicious, while touch too sweet, but it was very pricy with a big hole in the middle! The staff worked alone but was efficient.

I finished eating at Konjiki Ramen which is in the same building, and decided I needed something sweet so I came here. I chose to get the hojicha sundae. It usually comes with red bean, but I wasn't feeling it so the server offered strawberries as a substitute for them. The ice cream had a nice tea flavour with hints of caramel underlying it all. It's hard to see in the picture but there are also some corn flakes at the bottom of the cup that add a satisfying crunch. The only thing I didn't really like was the mochi pieces in the cup as I found them to be a bit hard and not as soft and chewy as I would like. Overall it was a good experience, and something to cleanse the palate.

    Anmitu bowl with Hojicha icecream

Saryo is connected to Konjiki Ramen, so it only made sense to get some refreshing icecream after a bowl of ramen. We got 15% off with our ramen reciept! We had the Anmitu bowl with Hojicha icecream. Hojicha is green tea but it has been roasted over charcoal to remove bitterness, leaving a nutty toasty sweet flavor. We really enjoyed the unique taste and will be looking out for more Hojicha items in the future. The Anmitu bowl comes with anmitsu (small cubes of agar jelly), mochi, red bean and some fresh fruit. I liked the addition of the anmitsu as it helped give another texture to the icecream.

Saryo Cafe is a Japanese dessert shop connected to Konijiki Ramen. It's a very convenient spot to stop in and grab some dessert after dinner (especially if you had ramen in the same shop!). The staff was nice and there were a few seats by the entrance, but it is very limited seating so my friends and I had to awkwardly stand as the seats were taken and it was cold outside. We moved when people were coming in and out, but it did feel like we were in the way and there wasn't anywhere else to go. What I got: Matcha soft serve Final Thoughts: The waffle cone was yummy and the matcha flavour was okay but I wished the soft serve was creamier. It's nice to have as an option if you're in the area, but I found the soft serve a bit icy and it fell a tad short of my expectations.

I got the matcha mango bingsu which came out to just over $20 after tax and tip. What was most disappointing was how little of a matcha taste I got from it. The base was a very sweet milky taste, and I really wish they infused the matcha directly into the shave ice itself. The matcha was just drizzled on top with matcha powder, along with some whipped cream which only diluted the matcha taste further. On the other hand, I will say they are generous with the mango topping, which were very fresh and perfectly ripe. They gave one single mochi cube which I feel they should either give more of or none at all. The environment itself is very noisy. Not sure what it is about the walls but they do not absorb sound well at all. Voices echo and bounce off the walls like crazy, it sounds like everyone is yelling and talking over eachother in there. That aside, the space and decor has a cute vibe and the self-serve water/coffee bar is a nice added touch. If I ever come back here, it would either be out of convenience or to try their drinks/a different dessert. Unfortunately the bingsu falls short in my opinion especially for the price tag. The base should resemble more of the flavour rather than rely on toppings.

The only reason for the 4 star review is that the ambiance is lacking and far more of a takeout place than a sit down, with plastic cutlery being used for dine-in. Coconut Pandan Cheesecake & Black Sesame Tart -- Worth a Try!…read more Just tried Uncle Tetsu's two newest flavors and honestly both were a solid experience! The Coconut Pandan Cheesecake really stood out to me -- the pandan flavor is incredibly dense and rich, and the texture is great. The only thing is, since it's freshly made, it can be a little too moist by the time you get home. My tip: Bake it for a bit and it firms up nicely. Also, huge props on the green packaging -- it's clear they put real thought into matching the box to each flavor. It makes every new release feel special, which I really appreciate as someone who loves having something new to look forward to! The Black Sesame Tart is a must if you're a tart lover -- the tart shell itself is chef's kiss as always. The black sesame filling is super rich and indulgent, though I personally found it a touch too sweet for my taste. Definitely a treat-yourself moment, so go in knowing that! The drinks and food came out pretty quickly except the soufflé pancakes which takes 25minutes to prepare. My favourite was the croffle. For $10, you get 2 big pieces of croffle which tastes great with either whipped cream or syrup. The chicken karaage was kind of dry on its own, but dipping it in the syrup and eating it with the croffle made it better. If you want a hearty breakfast, the classic breakfast is a solid choice.
