This past Summer, a Yelp experience brought me to Xe Kem. I loved the experience so much that I finally returned yesterday for more good eats. I had a hankering for ice cream and dropped by on a Saturday afternoon. This store is located at the Chinatown in Mississauga. It's probably a good fifteen minutes away from my workplace by car. The store is steps away from the food court. It features Vietnamese desserts, drinks, and more. Both visits, I had no problem finding a parking spot. Yesterday, I scored a prime spot steps away from the store. It was a bit busier on the weekend (my first visit was after work on a Wednesday). I backed into a spot and walked in. I was the only person in the store. I had two women greet me. I saw the ice cream machine. I got chocolate and vanilla soft serve swirled in cone form. You have four different cone options to choose from, including a charcoal one. I got a pointy cone because I was going to devour it immediately. The soft serve is creamy and excellent. I'm a huge fan. I got a caramel flan during my first visit. It was creamy and not overly sweet. It's the main reason why I like this place. I like desserts that don't make you go on a sugar high, followed by a massive sugar crash. This place has a lot of drinks and desserts. It will take me a while to get through them all, so I'll be back for more. There aren't any places to sit down in this store to enjoy your desserts and more. Your best bet is the food court. I tend to eat in my car. It's quieter and comfy. Yesterday, I saw the last pâté chaud in the display case. I wanted it. Give me pastry or give me death! The other cool thing is that their items are super affordable. My ice cream and pâté chaud were just over $5. I paid using my debit card and added a tip. The transaction was seamless. There is also a tip jar if you have change and would like to tip. The pâté chaud was awesome. The generous mound of filling consisted of flavourful pork with little bits of onion. Delicious! The pastry was yummy. I am dreaming about it still. If there were more of them, I would have bought them all! I love this store a ton. It offers good eats and drinks at decent prices. I'll be back for more. (451)

Second time coming here as it was recommended by my partner's friend. She said that the salted egg yolk ice cream was really nice so we got that one the first time. We also got their durian crepes which I know can be off-putting because of the smell but I really enjoyed that too. This time we got the Vietnamese yogurt, caramel flan, cupcakes, and the avocado ice cream. They were amazing and full of flavour but not overly sweet! Really enjoyed the cupcakes as they were soft and fluffy and the salted egg yolk and pork floss was a nice touch. Unfortunately, their ice cream machine was already shut down so we didn't get to try that one. The staff was really nice though and service was fast. Would come back and try the drinks and other things as well.

There is a lot of variety and interesting flavours here. The ice cream is $5 each and $6 for durian ice cream. The frozen yogurt was $12. I did not like the frozen yogurt that much but thats my preference. It was good but not for me. The ice cream is very cream rich and yummy. I only tried the durian so far but it was good. I would recommend getting dessert here if you are in the area

We went back after the yelp event and oh my the desserts are delicious. This spot is a porthole to southeast asia. We got that drink Chè Thái, or one of them not sure which. A coconut milk base filled with colourful jellies, with a scoop of durian and jackfruit. The shaved ice was optional, but def get it. It's quite a filling dessert drink, probably has a good amount of protein too. To be eaten with a spoon with sips in between. The yogurt is really good too. We liked the cheese yogurt so much, we got the fruity frozen bag of 6. Wow delicious! Authentic vietnamese desserts. Special treats for durian lovers. This is a gem!

If you are looking for a place where we can fulfill the desire of sweet tooth taste you will definitely find @ Xe Kem Ice Cream Shop. Xe Kem Ice Cream Shop is located inside in Mississauga, ON is a lovely place to be. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city in spite of being in the city . There's ample parking space around the building. The place doesn't have indoor seating arrangements. The staff is really nice, friendly and explains everything in detail.Pricing is decent, good value for money and the place is more suitable for a group of people.

This tiny little store inside Mississauga's China Town serves up delicious Vietnamese desserts and ice cream. We got their Caramel Flan that had the right texture and a mildly bitter taste from the burnt caramel - delicious! Their soft serves are reasonably priced and recommended to beat the heat. Also took home a portion of their Salted Egg ice cream that sounded off beat and made me want to try it. Super creamy with a mild egg taste towards the end, and only $5!

Goes to @xe_kem Vietnamese cuisine shop for a wonderful experience! The ambiance is very nice and homey! The staff was very welcoming and accommodating as he took the time to explain their products to us . They have fruit- flavoured yogurt drinks such as strawberry ,matcha and others . They have the salted egg cupcake that tasted like a small Japanese cheesecake which is a must to try. They have a their own halo-halo kundi of dessert. If you are in Mississauga, you better come and try their good delicious desserts! I will definitely go back to try other delicious snacks in this store !

This place is a must try for Durians fans! I've been here a few times now trying out each of the different ice creams (and of course getting some durian ice cream each time) and the flavours are so pronounced you would be able to tell them apart without the label. For example, the avocado flavour ice cream has the smooth texture and taste of, well, avocado (obviously sweetened). I personally enjoyed the ube and coconut ice cream but nothing beats the durian ice cream. Aside from frozen deserts, they have other pastries such as a durian crepe. I know I've gone on a lot about durian on this review but this storefront does the fruit justice by bringing out the taste in their dessert. I strongly recommend checking out this shop if you are looking for more exotic Asian taste.

As I made my way over to Eddie's from the Wisła Deli, I marveled at how similar this area of…read moreMississauga is to parts of Warsaw. Signs on establishments in Polish and the style of buildings transported me back to my days living in the southern neighborhood of Warsaw. I had a little more time to spend shopping for Polish goodies before I had to head on to my next stop, so I decided that I was going to make it to Eddies Meat and Deli. BEST DECISION EVER. If you saw my review of Wisła, you know that this trip was on Holy Thursday, and just as before this place was PACKED. The lines to order meat (fresh or deli) were long as was the check out line. But we'll get to that. As I walked in, I was immediately struck with the larger assortment of products. I found my beloved Almette spread, and was willing to pay a high price no matter what because it is so difficult to obtain when I'm back at home. As I was scanning the dairy case, I came across Mlekovita's packaged Gołka cheese. For those who want to be accurate, this isn't oscypek, but it was close enough for me. The salty, smoked, "squeaky" cheese is a treat I haven't had in years. I took four packages.. I threw a couple of other items into my basket, and then hopped in line to check out. I didn't get any of the pastry items, but they looked so good, and I'm sure if I was local, I'd be ordering far too often. When I got to the counter, I asked the young girl to get me some krem oliwkowy from the cosmetics shelf behind the register. I was very excited to see the ziaja product in the small green pot. This cream has a scent that evokes a sense of nostalgia for me, but it is so rich and nourishing and it was a favorite of mine that I haven't had in years. I ordered once on amazon for a ridiculous price that I couldn't justify. So to see it here made my day. I checked out speedily - there is something to say for Polish efficiency, and even got a free Wawel chocolate bar. I would definitely say that the staff here are must more friendly than in the other store I visited. It made for a much more pleasant experience. Currently (April 2025), there is a lot of construction going on on Dundas Street, so I highly recommend using the side street at the light to access the back parking area. It is much easier especially if you need make a left turn out onto Dundas.

What an amazing market & deli! We stumbled across this just searching for the best lunch in the…read morearea. Once we walked in, our hungry tummies were overwhelmed with yummy smells. We initially saw huge, gorgeous danishes, rolls & bread that had self serve tongs & bags. We got a cherry cheese & a blueberry cheese danish - so big each needed its own brown paper (lunch sized) bag. Super yummy, loaded with sweetened cheese & fruit. Makes me regret not getting the apple one too! Then we walked back to the hot food area. To the left were dozens of sausage links hung up behind a deli case full of slice to order cold cuts. A big menu of smoked meats, ribs, cabbage rolls, etc., was in front of us. Then we saw what I can only compare to my childhood memory of Stouffers french bread pizzas. We got one of each - mushroom & cheese and ham & cheese, warmed up. They warmed them for us - the light crispy french bread & both flavors were delicious! We also got a garlicky spinach feta & a pork crepe. These were hefty! Thin crepes with filling & rolled compactly. Both were so yummy! We also got some self-serve bulk pickles that were fantastic. We would have gotten some bags of frozen blueberry or cherry or meat pierogis too, but we had too far to drive to keep them frozen. Everyone we spoke with here was so friendly. They had tons of delicious looking cheeses, meats, jarred spreads & pickles, and other condiments, as well as Polish candies. This is a GREAT place for groceries, a quick meal, or to prepare a meal at home. Loved it here!!
