We were in the area eating some ramen and I decided some dessert was called for, and La Casa Dolce just happened to be right around the corner. I'll never say no to a chocolate chip cookie, so obviously that's what I got. It's a decent cookie. It's definitely not a traditional cookie, as it emphasizes the dough over everything else, to the extent that it almost tastes more like a cake than a cookie. But it was pretty fresh and loaded with chocolate chips, so I can't say I didn't enjoy it. I do have a feeling, however, that cookies aren't La Casa Dolce's specialty, so I'm definitely planning on returning some day to try their other offerings. read more

I stopped by to buy a birthday cake. They were mostly out of everything and my only options were Caramel Crunch Cake, Lemon Raspberry Cake and Red Velvet Cake. They were in 6" and 8" sizes. I bought an 8" Red Velvet Cake. The packaging was pretty good and the cake looked really great. The taste was only ok in my opinion. The sponge part tasted good, but the cream cheese layer was too sweet and very dense. I have heard many good things about this bakery, but I don't believe the red velvet cake is their strongest suit. Now i know why this bakery's such a hype to Mississauga community! I had the chance to come by while i was nearby this area. First thing that caught my eye is a various baked goods to choose from and the cookies display in the front when I walked in. I grabbed some cannolis, cookies and a pecan tart. They were so yummy. I enjoyed them while sitting out in their patio. They have sandwiches, drinks, cookies, and alot more that you can take a look at and purchase. ORIGINAL CHOCOLATE CHIP: your classic, slightly crispy-edged chocolate chip cookie! (4.2 out of 5.0 stars) CHEWY GINGER MOLASSES: so true to its name as this cookie's texture was so on point with the chew! I loved how strong the ginger flavor was as well (4.4 out of 5.0 stars) DOUBLE CHOCOLATE SPRINKLE: my favorite of the bunch! Their selection is great, and the quality of their cannolis and pastries in general are great as well. In terms of the value you get, I would say the cannolis don't give you too much but at the same time it's not really that much worse than other places or anything like that either. If you're looking for value, I would highly suggest the squares. What's all the hype ? I'll tell you all the hype .. I have a regular Bakery that I frequent . My daughter wanted a special Nutella cake for her birthday . She said it had to be from this Bakery apparently you have the best Nutella cake . It was her birthday so her wish was my command , I decided to get her the Nutella cake from this Bakery and at the same time I ordered a lot of pastries assorted . My order was I believe $130 that included the cake and the pastries I had my order delivered and from the beginning of my order which was placed online until the completion when we ate it I have nothing but good things to report. First of all my order was placed online that meant I had no personal contact I am a very detailed person so I did not anticipate any issues . I received a call from the bakery regarding the delivery . To my surprise they we're still going to deliver the cake . When I originally placed my order online it said they were no longer doing deliveries . I received the phone call saying that they were going to deliver my order and that they used Uber Eats to do so. They confirmed the address they confirmed my items they were very pleasant and efficient. The next day my order was delivered on time they refused a tip do you know why because the bakery already tipped them ! How great is that , unbelievable so they got another star for me right there . We displayed all the pastries and the cake on the dessert table and after a delicious lunch we sang Happy Birthday Cut the Cake and had dessert . I am going to give you direct quotes from people at the party . From the birthday girl quotes this is the best cake I ever had in my life and I'm not just saying that . Simply put, my new favourite cake shop/cafe. I recently thought about some of the cakes and desserts I'd eaten over the past year, and came to realize that an embarrassing number of them have come from La Casa Dolce. The cake my family and I shared for my 30th birthday celebrations, the one we ordered for my aunt's 40th birthday dinner at Michael's Back Door, a recent pumpkin pie we ordered to celebrate Thanksgiving... it seems as though this place has accompanied some of my family's biggest celebrations, which is an incredibly strange thing to say. They call themselves the "cake bosses" of Mississauga, and with good reason. Despite being located in a more industrial area, they spare no expense when it comes to custom orders and have the best eye in the city for what works and what doesn't when it comes to presentation and design. While you do need to go in to talk with them directly about what you want (anyone that just emails pictures and expects them to craft perfection is seriously misunderstanding the process - you know how things are lost in transmission), they have a knack for translating your ideas into reality. The most recent time, my mother ordered a rum-infused birthday cake to celebrate a co-worker's work anniversary at her workplace in Brampton. (Yes, their influence runs way out there too.) She ended up bringing back all the leftovers (two-thirds of the cake), and I've been sitting here chipping away at over the past week. Delicious rum-soaked layers in between creamy chocolate frosting. No wonder her co-workers were trying to get at it before she brought it back home! Having been in twice now, I've also seen how diligent and dedicated the staff are. They'll usually contact you the day before to let you know your cake is ready, and they have a bevy of other desserts and pastries on tap while you're waiting. (It's also the holiday season, so don't be surprised if orders are backed up.) La Casa Dolce has quickly become a favored destination for cakes of all types, and I greatly underestimated how important it was to both my family and the community. NEVER AGAIN - horrible experience, overpriced and waste of time. I ordered a custom cake from this place this past weekend for my boyfriend's birthday. Prior to this I have been in contact with the account manager via email and by phone for two weeks describing what I want for this cake. When I picked it up I nearly cried because it was not even close to what I want. I asked for a black fondant cake with a picture on the top and I got a white fondant cake with no picture and cost me $110. The only thing they got right was a few prints on the side of the cake. The lady assisting me at the bakery said it was a misinterpretation/miscommunication and that if they added the picture it would've been an extra cost plus it wouldn't look as good. WHAT?! I asked for a printed picture on top and the account manager said it was included in the $110. And how could it not look good? You guys are known to be the "Cake Boss" of Mississauga; it's your job to make it look and taste good. In the end, they added a tiny picture of him at the top the size of a thumbnail in hopes of satisfying my vision for this cake. I am disappointed by the lack of service from this place. I don't mind paying $100+ for a custom cake but if it's not what wanted then why should I pay for it? If the cake was a $20-$50 I wouldn't even bother writing a review. I am giving this place 1 star since my boyfriend mentioned the cake was actually good but overall I am going to look for another place that isn't overpriced and delivers what I want. TIP: if you are going to order from this place make sure you go into the bakery and speak to someone and describe EXACTLY what you want. 3-3.5* which is SOLID, I'll definitely go back! I've driven by this place numerous times and have had it bookmarked for a while. It's slightly difficult to access if you're driving East on Queensway. However, if you're driving West, it's a quick 'n easy stop! Bakery itself is fairly large with a good size seating area to enjoy your dolces (sweets) and caffeinated beverage of your choice. Since unit is newly renovated, everything is shiny and clean. I arrived a bit before noon and they had a hot table, BUT the lids were all on, so I couldn't see what was underneath. :( I ordered an Americano ($2)/Lobster Tail ($1.99) with a custard filling to go. Lobster Tail was presented and wrapped up very nicely with decorative ribbon. (I felt bad 'cause I was just gonna tear that up and stuff it into my mouth!) Takeout coffee came with a nice, shiny lid, but it did leak onto my console - despite not lifting the tab. Americano was decent, good, but not the best, a bit on the watery side. Size is good for price! Lobster Tail which is much smaller than San Remo's, but well-stuffed with filling and crunchy pastry tasted fresh. I wish I had read previous reviews before I ordered a custom cake from this bakery. Do not order from them; you'll be disappointed. I am pretty low maintenance, so when I ordered a birthday cake and said that I want it to be white and red, I trusted that "experienced" bakers will provide me with a beautiful and delicious cake. Wrong. When I opened the box, I could not believe how horrific the cake looked. And let's not kid ourselves, when it comes to custom cakes, the look is just as important as the taste. I was so upset that I told the cashier that I hope she will tell the baker that he/she did a really lousy job on the cake. One of the owners overheard me and came to speak to me. He did not take the criticism very well. In fact, he gave me attitude. He was very unprofessional, bordering on rude. He fixed the cake but it still looked like a 12 year old decorated it. I probably could have gotten a nicer cake at Loblaws or Whole Foods. Everyone who runs a business in the food industry, knows that customer service is one of the most important elements of a successful business. You will not get new and returning customers, if you are disrespectful. I tried variety of their pastries on 3 different occasions. The flaky pastries and cupcakes are good but not any better than at other bakeries in Mississauga. Tarts, mini cheesecakes and mousse are ok. Eclairs are one of the worst eclairs I have ever tried. Mississauga has many great bakeries. La Casa Dolce is not one of them. I will never order from La Case Dolce again and I have spread the word among my family and friends. This place is overpriced. Dishonest. And not worth your time. I ordered a cake here for my finances birthday. I was promised a cake that would feed 8 "italian" sized slices. I paid about $75.00 for a 6 inch fondant covered cake that fed about 4 people. I was convinced that the cake was going to be atleast 8 inches but was definitely deceived. Not only that, but I ordered the cake on Thursday to pick up on a Tuesday and on the Tuesday morning that I called about my cake for confirmation (that's right I called, not them). None of the people that worked that knew what the order was. After some investigation they finally believed me and scrambled to make my cake. I was able to pick it up. After seeing the size at the store, it was too late to complain. My fiancé a birthday was that day and I wanted a personalized cake. Alas, we ate the cake. But I've never felt so cheated with a service that I've paid for. This one star only goes for the taste, but the service, the value that this bakery offers is second to none. Excellent bakery, one of my regular stops along Queensway. Friendly counter service and many standout goodies. My two fave items are the red velvet cupcake w/ cream cheese icing and the lobster tails both are sinful and delicious. Sweet but not cloyingly so. Coffee is surprisingly decent. The regular brew has good body and I don't need to add much sugar or cream. I believe they brew Lavazza. The croissants are fine but don't expect them to be buttery or flakey they are passable. Pizza is available as are other items from the hot table. Selection is impressive. Lots of space to eat in although most people seem to do take out. Clean and well maintained. read more

I was in need of an anniversary cake for my parents and had little time to get it. So happy I found La Casa Dolce! I called them at 8 am, the cake was ready for pickup at 2 PM. The cake was beautifully decorated and delicious. Red Velvet with a cream cheese frosting, YUM. The 6" cake served around 7 people with leftovers (but most people at the dinner preferred small slices. If you guys like large slices you may want to get a bigger one.) I also bought a package of assorted cookies. It was $14, and it was a hit. The ice box cookie was incredible! The butter tarts were also delicious. The service was friendly and polite. The man who helped me seemed to be the owner, as he took a lot of pride in the product they sold me. He even brought out the person who baked the cake so I could thank her. I would defiantly return here. Next time I will try the mini cheesecakes which looked AMAZING. As a side note: I am surprised people have said the prices here are high. I paid less than $50 for my order, and it fed over 15 people with leftovers. 1 6 " cake, 1 box of assorted cookies (there must have been 20-30 cookies in it) 4 butter tarts. Also, this is not 5 stars because I have nothing else to compare La Casa Dolce to. I'm not a huge dessert lover, so I rarely frequent bakeries. Love this place! Ask the staff for recommendations on the pastries and you will get something that will make your day. I usually get a pastry and a coffee. The coffee is pretty good. I have not tried their cakes but that appears to be their specialty and they make the most awesome cakes I have seen. The treats are amazing the manager is not. Went in on a quiet Thursday afternoon to buy 3 dessert squares to drop off as a surprise for someone. Asked the server/manager if she could cut them in half ( they are huge). She told me I could get a knife and cut them myself. I was floored. I questioned her, explaining that I have bought from them many times and this has never been an issue. She told me they only cut for pre-orders. Again - only customer in the store. A specialty bakery. Three squares. Three cuts of the knife. Unbelievable. My husband, daughter and I were extremely pleased with the cake La Casa Dolce made for my son's dedication ceremony. We had very specific requirements that no other caterer seemed to understand - I was even beginning to think there was something wrong with us - perhaps we were being too picky. Kristen took my online order and responded promptly every time. From start to finish, she was professional and understanding. She even called as the cake was being made to offer recommendations. I was impressed. On the day of pick up, they had the delivery man carry the cake box out to our parked car. As for the appearance - It was so creepy how alike it looked to the picture I gave them from Pinterest - right down to the letter font, baby shoes and cross. It looked very expensive - although the price was right. Now, the icing on the cake (no pun, lol) was THE TASTE. It drove us and our guests INSANE (in a good way). I went here this Wednesday with some colleagues from work. Upon arriving everyone began telling me this is where we were eating which was a huge surprise to me because I only thought they had desserts. I ordered their basil pizza and my friends had cheesy lasagna. My pizza was very good I ate it cold but I'm pretty sure they would have warmed it if I asked. They had a wide array of sweet treats available and they even had a day old section of sweet treats for very reasonable prices (around $4). I would definitely go back here especially for a coffee and a tasty cupcake or doughnut. They had a nicely laid out seating area so customers could sit and eat. Before leaving I also noticed that they sold pizza dough which is something to consider if it's fresher than what the grocery store offers. I love La Casa Dolce! I have ordered so many things for so many events and can honestly say I've never been disappointed. I've ordered cupcakes for 100 people for my hubby's 50th party; La Casa has made a huge custom cake for me to launch a new logo & service; I pop in to the store (almost every week) and pick up a tray of assorted cookies and bring it to my meeting (just to brighten someone's day); pastries & loaves for Easter and Christmas, cookies for the hockey team, a beautiful birthday cake for my sis-in-law, and assorted pastries & cakes for my daughter's 18th birthday. When I think about how many of my family, friends and work colleagues have tried something from La Casa Dolce bakery it probably adds up to at least 350 people! All these different events, all these people and every time its the same thing they ask...without fail people always come up to me and ask "this is delicious! where did you get it?" Horrible, horrible customer service!! Ordred on Uber eats. Driver showed up with half my order. When I called the Bakery the girl I spoke with had an attitude and didn't really care. She confirmed it was there and told me they forgot to give it to the driver and that I should go pick it up! When I pointed out to her If I could go pick it up I wouldn't have ordered Uber Eats. She put me on hold and came back and asked me to re-order and they would give me 2 free Zeppole for compensation of the delivery fees! How does that make sense?? I paid for something I didn't receive and they wanted me to re-order it. Pay for it agin and they would give me 2 free Zeppole? Hire compitent people!!!! Amazingly delicious and beautifully decorated custom cakes. They've also got a wonderful variety of ready-made cakes. Pricey...but worth it!!
