It's been several years since I've been to Love Gelato, and this was my first time at this newer location. On this occasion, a friend of mine, known as DJ PTFire, was providing music for the guests on the patio. Luckily, the weather cooperated, with the exception of a very brief sprinkle. Besides the good music, I enjoyed their pizza, pistachio gelato, and some refreshing beverages. Everything was very good and the music really created a great ambiance. All I can say is WOW!!!! This was absolutely delicious and a hidden gem to me. I came here after a dinner near by and it was just what we needed to end the night on the best note. The outside is so cute with some seating areas and a tarp over in case it was raining. They had small hanging lights in front of the entrance. So cute. The inside was very small, only takeout but had great selections! The service was wonderful. We were able to taste test the flavours we wanted. And if you get a small, like we did, we were able to split a small into two flavours. They also threw in 2 small ice cream cones which was a bonus! Food: Pistachio - 4.5/5 Pistachio is not my go to flavour but I tried my friends and it was delicious! It was smooth and nutty tasting. Wow. Might have to try this out for myself next time. This shop is located down an 'alley' back from Markham Road. They have a covered area with lights with a few tables and which added a nice outside eating area. They also have a few picnic tables. Inside is small inside. You are able to get a taste of the gelato before making your decision. I had a double scoop with chocolate and lemon. Both were good. It was smooth and each had the right flavour profile. The chocolate was rich and chocolatey. The lemon was not too tart. I found the serving size to be small, especially for the price they are charging. Bought a cappuccino and I don't think they filled the cup as it was finished within 3 sips. Taste was just OK. The night we went there was a dj playing music. This was an extra treat! Loved all the music he played. Would return for this. This made it a complete evening. read more

Located in a hidden alley of Markham Main Street, you'll find this cute gelato house (literally looks like a small house), filled with all the freshly made gelato flavours! The location moved from where it use to be but I think their location now is even better because at night they have fairly lights leading to the storefront. The shop itself is small but has a variety of gelato flavors to choose from. All the flavors are made with local ingredients and that's what makes it so delicious. It's creamy, fresh and definitely a great sweet treat. I got the single which comes with two flavours. I got the passionfruit and tangerine both which were a 5/5. Fruity, light, tangy and hit that sweet spot. I got it in a cup and love that it came with a super mini cone on top, it really was the cheery onto of it all. They also sell gelato cakes, cookies and pastries here if you're ever in the mood for it. If you're ever hosting a party and want gelato catering, they also do mini cups for events. Although this little place is tucked at the end of the alley on Main St Markham, and a bit of a drive from where I live, the trip was totally worth it. They have numerous gelato flavours - we tried the grape, lemon, and coconut, which were all very good. Our favourite was the grape flavour. We were greeted by a friendly employee who made an effort to list out all of the flavours available even though it was almost closing time. I was pleasantly surprised by this gelato shop on Main St. Markham! I can't believe I didn't notice this place sooner until the pandemic. They offer a wide variety of gelato flavours including red bean, pistachio, mango, strawberry, chocolate, and dairy free options as well. The gelato tastes so fresh and is of high quality! There is currently free delivery around the Markham area. The gelato box containing 9 different flavours was packaged very well. Staff as always were super friendly and taking the right precautions for your safety and their own. Flavour selection is always hard to decide (good problems) because everything is delicious here. I got pistachio, my favourite and wow it hits the spot. Got the wife and daughter mango and lemon which are pretty amazing. The pistachio had a rich creamy texture with plenty of flavour. I could eat it everyday. The mango tasted so fresh and the lemon tastes like those frozen lemonades you get at carnivals and CNE. Located in Markham This small business has the cutest little hut down an alley selling authentic Italian gelato. We tried their raspberry & chocolate (right) and their strawberry & nocciolato - hazelnut chocolate (left). The raspberry was a dairy free gelato that was fruity and more sour than sweet. It had a refreshing taste and was one of our favourite flavours. The chocolate had dairy and was a super smooth and rich. We loved this flavour combo! The strawberry was also another dairy free gelato that wasn't our favourite flavour, but still had a nice taste and texture. The nocciolato - a hazelnut chocolate flavour, was delicious! It was nutty and chocolatey, two things we love. We appreciated their presentation with the gelato by adding a cute small cone on top, and we would definitely say this is one of the best gelato spots in Markham! 8/10 read more

A MUST TRY if you're ever in the Markham area from 12pm-9pm! You just HAVE to come here. I don't consider myself someone that enjoys sweets that much. But this is an exception. Every single flavour that I've tried from Love Gelato is absolutely amazing. From their fruit flavoured Gelato to nut flavoured ones, it tastes like you're eating the most concentrated version of whatever flavour you're eating. Want the best mango you've ever had? Try their gelato! Want the best pistachio you've ever tasted? Try their gelat!. And the crazy part is you get to enjoy it over and over and over again! Me and my girlfriend are absolutely obsessed with this place (evident in the photos) and our go-to order is definitely a double scoop of hazelnut and pistachio. The flavour of these two selections are SO concentrated and is so delicate. The hazel nut is smooth and creamy, and the flavour is so pronounced and concentrated. The pistachio is nutty, but as I mentioned before, it feels like you're eating the best pistachio of your life, over and over again. Nutty, but somehow also contains fruity notes at the same time. I know, it makes no sense, which is why you have to try it for yourself! Another great thing about this place is that the staff is amazing. I don't usually comment on staff because I like to focus on the food, but they're just so awesome, it really adds to the experience. I've been here on more than 5+ occasions and every single staff member I've come in contact with has been nice, courteous and patient. They are also extremely safe in their practices. We tried the pistachio gelato today and it's pretty good! Personally, I found it a tad bit too sweet, however the nuttiness of the pistachio really shines through which I loved. Price wise, it wasn't too bad, for one scoop (see photo attached) the price was $4.50+tax. The scoop was nice to share for two people. In addition, the staff were SUPER FRIENDLY which made the experience really nice. Also, you can enjoy your dessert outside because they have a few tables for you to sit at.
