Great selection of gelato with some more unique flavours Extra love as our particular server was generous with our portion. Unsure if this is the standard but we were definitely HAPPY! We already recommended others that live relatively nearby of this place and hope to visit it again ( find me on Instagram via @aida.loves )

Delicious gelato! Definitely a nice place to check out! They have many flavours to choose from so if you have a sweet tooth I highly recommend to drop by!

Great gelato spot on the Danforth with rotating flavours, good serving sizes for reasonable prices, and a spacious seating area so you can have gelato anytime of the year. Been here many times, and in our most recent visit, we got to try new standout flavours. Loved the panettone, walnut and figs, and mocha espresso. Doesn't matter what season it is, it's always a treat stopping by Dolce.

Small cup of gelato: chocolate cherry + tiramisu flavours.

Dolce gelato is a go-to spot for delicious treats. They've got coffee, cakes, and an assortment of other goodies, but the real draw is their gelato. With so many different flavours it can be hard to choose, but no need to worry! Even small cups + cones come with two flavours to enjoy, and the staff are more than happy to let you taste test before you buy. I got chocolate cherry and tiramisu gelato, both of which were delicious! It's a little on the pricier side (my small cup ran me $6.50 not including tip), and the wait time can be quite long depending on the day, but its hard to complain when the gelato is that good.

This a very good gelato place. It's got a large variety of flavors available and the set up is beautiful with all the different colors. Very similar to set ups you would find at an Italian gelato place in Italy. Service is expedient and friendly. When I went the seating area was blocked off and therefore you need to eat outside standing or if you're lucky get the only 2 outside chairs. Not really a problem as the temperature was comfortable and it was a beautiful evening. I had a medium cup with a one scoop of banana and one of amarena, my favorite combo. For me it was delicious, and it was comparable to the gelatos I savored in Italy. So good marks for this place.

lots of gelato flavours to choose from & theyve got a decent list of specialty coffees/teas. we got 2 small cups of ice cream (2 flavours each cup) & a chocolate hazelnut tea. gelatos 5/5 rich in flavour, velvety texture, they use real fruits as there were coconut bits and strawberry seeds in those flavours. the pistachio is salty yet a tad sweet and nutty. i loved it! choco hazelnut tea 5/5 very aromatic, light in flavour. price point is steep but they use fine ingredients so you can see why. worth the try if youre in the area!

Gelato! Dolce Gelato is a great addition to The Danforth area. I am a little bias when it comes to frozen dessert especially when it is hot out! Great selections of flavours, Great Services, Opens Late, Trendy Vibes and there are NO ice cream parlour in the area that is as good as Dolce. Or I am not even sharing there is any??! Yelp Drinking Buddy really enjoyed his choice of gelato... and I love gelato so much that I am enjoying my gelato even when I am coughing so much... cough cough... YDB can I taste yours?? cough cough...

After a medical appointment on a sunny day last week, I ended up in Greek Town and once again my craving for a nice scoop or two of frozen dessert kicked in and I started walking "desperately" along Bloor towards Chester station on the lookout for a place that might not be too busy... I had about an hour left before heading to working so as I was continuing my brisk stroll to Chester, I suddenly saw the name Dolce and knew that it would have the right frozen treat to satisfy my craving. It wasn't busy at all inside so in I went to take a brief look before I picked my flavors. I got a small and picked my two flavors... White Chocolate Hazelnut Truffle and Rum and Raisin. The two flavors paired-up perfectly and I liked the subtle hint of rum in the rum and raisin and that blended well with the Hazelnut Truffle. So with a nice cup of gelato in hand to cool me off in the heat of the lunch-time sun, I walked on happily to Chester station and continued on to work.

As most of my friends know, I am a HUGE Dolce fan. I did leave a great review for their Kensington location, and honestly would have loved to replicate for this one too . . .unfortunately I do not think I can close my eyes this time around. My wife and I visited Dolce during Taste of The Danforth. It was somewhat busy, but not as crazy as you would expect it to be in a night like that (roughly 6 or so people waiting in line in front of us when we arrived). While I generally stick to my favourite flavours, I did want to try something new this time around. We were checking out the ice cream flavours to get some inspiration, when sadly we were "scolded away" by a pretty rude blonde landing standing on the other side of the fridge: "You have to pay first and then choose flavours", she said. We were just watching from a distance, no reason to be rude. In any case, we ended up paying first and then ordering. Though she did continue to give us "death glares" as my wife calls them, throughout the whole time we were there It might be because of this bad experience, but I also found the Gelato to be a little off. I ordered Stracciatella and Pistacchio, and both flavours basically tasted the same: too sweetie and just not creamy enough. I will DEFINITELY be back to Dolce, but I won't be back to this location. Staffing needs some training, or maybe a replacement.

So many choices. Such difficult decisions

Wow! Talk about amazing gelato! I took advantage of the warm Toronto temperatures last Friday by heading over to Dolce Gelato - I was in the mood for something sweet and the fact that they're open late was great! I've never had grapefruit gelato before, but Dolce's grapefruit sorbet was fantastic - just the right balance of tangy and fruity. Mixing it with the pistachio flavor was a great decision, the refreshing grapefruit balanced out the creamy pistachio - I highly recommend going to Dolce for the variety of choices and excellent taste!

Large size for around $6. Dulce de leche, toasted marshmallow, and oreo

Decided to stop by here for dessert after dinner in Greektown. This location is pretty spacious, with ample seating and bright lighting. It boasts an array of gelato flavours ranging fruity flavours to chocolatey/dessert dishes flavours. After a bit of time spent deciding, I opted to get the large size in a cup for around $6. We tried the oreo, toasted marshmallow and dulce de leche flavour. Oreo: Tastes like oreo flavour haha, not much to it. Cant go wrong with that. Toasted marshmallow: I sort of failed to tasted the "toasted" part of the flavour and I probably only noticed 3 physical mini marshmallows in the entire scoop of gelato. Dulce de leche: Very rich of course, smooth and has a nice bitterness to it. Wish I could taste some toffee bits like the description claimed to have. Overall, its a nice, lively place for some late night gelato. Prices are pretty high for non-gelato items in my opinion; but I guess thats the price you pay for a location thats closely approaching downtown Toronto.

Just the gelato would have been 4 stars. The esspresso gelato wasn't oversweet with a hint of coffee bitterness. It really complemented the walnut gelato that I also got. However, the service was really questionable. I asked to try two flavours and the server frustrately asked if I was going to make a purchase. Then, when I was selecting flavours for my gelato (that I bought), the (same) person rudely asked me to repeat my order two times. Everyone has bad days, but when you're at work, you should be professional. In the food industry, your staff's behaviour can impact a customer's experience and decide whether they will come back. Dolce gelato, come for the gelato, leave for the service.

Tsujiri (Tsujiri Tea Store/Tsujiri Chaho/辻利茶舗) is a Japanese tea spot and bakery of well, Tsujiri…read morethe Kyoto/Uji tea company on Toronto's Dundas and Elizabeth. The company has been in business since 1860 making matcha, hojicha/houjicha and other green teas, and you happen to have this tea and dessert spot here and in multiple cities. (I usually don't get Tsujiri's teas as I have my usuals in Yamamoto and Itou En, but because I see the bad Ohtani/Ootani way too often on the latter's displays as in the one on the Bums obviously, Shouhei [with the good one being Ikue-san who for us non-Japanese residents mostly know her as the voice actress of "Pokemon's" Pikachu], I may have to start getting Tsujiri's more often and Itou En's less often for matcha and houjicha. [I intentionally add the "-san" honorific to the good Ohtani and drop it to the bad Ohtani.] Yes Toronto and Canada, I too wanted the bad Ohtani to go to the Jays, not the Bums, and if you have always wondered why the Dodgers are called that, when the Trolley Dodgers [people dodged incoming trolleys to get to work] and the Giants were still in New York City's Brooklyn and Manhattan respectively until 1958, "New York World-Telegram" cartoonist Willard Mullin back in the day called them that as they didn't win their first and only east coast title until 1955, though the fortunes are the total opposite since they moved out west to Los Angeles and San Francisco.) Just like what I did with my Jirou review, I'll point out what items I see here that are not in my local cafes and vice versa. This will be a good reference section for me should I have the power to return to the city, and it will also give both you Canadians that haven't visited any of their multiple locations yet and international visitors an idea of what to expect. While I sit at multiple spots in my temporary home inserting the usual "Yes guys, the ladies are cute!" statement, I better mention this important note. Do keep in mind that the place, with a simple tea house look, is narrow. There aren't many places to sit at. There are just 2, 3 tables? Right around there. Let me get the item comparison part out of the way. Items I recall seeing here that are not in my local Japanese/Japanese ties cafes/dessert spots (the latter type involves a place I reviewed in Satura, a mainly European cafe at one of my suburbs with Japanese ties, including a partnership with a cafe/bakery in Tokyo)? There are items such as yuzu kakigoori (Japanese shaved ice), shiratama dango, dango parfait, and soft serve ice creams of matcha and houjicha. Items I recall seeing in my usual spots that are not in Tsujiri? Besides the cute decorations (multiple Sanrio characters coming to my mind instantly), the local Japanese bakeries/cafes have items such as kouign amann, "Anpanman" pan, Japanese strawberry short cake, ube matcha latte, and Japanese sodas. The fun part section? Seeing that my K-foodie sis, her friend and I are in a tea shop, a (too) legit (to quit) Japanese tea shop, of course I had to get tea in some form, as I picked the cold houjicha latte. We also had the matcha houjicha soft serve, a daifuku and an order of dango. As expected, the foods and drink are so good. Even my sister's friend said that the place is a perfect 5/5, and my sis likes the place despite not being as fond of Asian cafes or Asian desserts/pastries that aren't Filipino as I am. (She does like European ones like kouign amann though.) The flaws section? Normally, I penalize a cafe a star if it doesn't carry a caffeine free drink as I seriously think about the kids and how I often don't need the insane amount of caffeine, but because Tsujiri is a Japanese green tea company, I can't deduct a point for not having a mugicha. Besides, outside of mugicha, houjicha is a good alternative for kids that are old enough anyway. So, with that said/typed, the only flaw I can think of is the limited parking, but of course, this is Downtown Toronto now. Tsujiri is that good of a tea spot. Though there isn't an ideal parking situation, the place is that good of a spot because of the good tea and food. It may never be my top Japanese cafe (I've known Clover for around 20 years or so), but it is that good never the less. If you're looking for a good cafe/dessert spot in Toronto or in multiple cities in Canada, go to a Tsujiri spot! +/Tsujiri is terrific at being hospitable and flashing dashing foods and drinks, and having multiple locations in the country shows how good the spots have been. -/There's limited parking, but of course, this is Downtown Toronto/whatever Canadian city you're from after all.

It's refreshing, matcha forward. And the toasted soybean powder conpliments the matcha very well - I was expecting it to overpower the matcha flavour.
