Ice cream in the 1liter containers doesn't weigh 1liter its weigh less so way advertise that you are selling 1lit of ice cream that stealing

All the yrs I have been going to this location I didn't think these people wouldn't be cheating the costumers. I was curious today when I saw the size container I got when I bought a 1 liter and pistachio almond crunch I ask the guy who serve me the ice cream about the other container they normally used he said there is no cover. So I went home and weigh the ice cream come to find out its way less then 1liter so I made a call to the store which a lady told me they sell the size container cup which is 32oz or one 1 liter . So all these yrs the ice cream does not weigh 1liter you cheating the costumers by using a 32oz container and then say what every is inside is 1liter .this is stealing and false advertising we are not buying the container we are buying the weight of the ice cream this is stealing scheme on you dutch dreams you will never get another $1 from my pocket. Also the rude lady on the phone when talking to her , she said if you pour water in the container it's 1liter .well I went to dutch dreams to buy 1liter of ice cream not water. And the fact still remains you can't put a product in a 1liter container saying it's 1liter when you know the product weight is less then what the container says this is false advertising and stealing from customers I will not becoming back to this store or any dutch dreams location.

Dutch Dreams is a staple ice cream spot that's been in town since the 1980's. My friends have been going here since they were young. They specialize in frozen desserts and imported Dutch candies. We dropped in on a Wednesday evening (around 9:15pm). There was a small queue outside with a short wait of 10 minutes. You order at the entrance and then pay/pick up your dessert at the back window. There's 41 flavours on the menu and you get to add toppings to your order (whipped cream, cotton candy and/or fruit). - Social distance cone ($9.75 for two scoops) - watermelon sherbet and pistachio almond crunch. The watermelon sherbet was refreshing while the pistachio, in radioactive green, was a complete letdown. Tasteless but the bits of almond were okay. - 2x Social distance cone ($8.24 single scoop) - my two friends went with the moose toppings. - Vegan dream ($5.88) - mango soft-serve gelato. Not bad. Not on my return radar. 2.5 stars.

Drove by this place many times and was always interested in trying... place looks cool from outside. Food - they have a good extensive menu to choose from with some staple and funky flavours too. Tried the Batta's Cupboard cone (Peanut Butter Brownie and Cookie Dough). It was okay... not bad but imo nothing special. Would have to try out a few more flavours to compare. (3.5/5) Service - I wanted to walk into the store but it was still blocked off and you have to order from the doorstep and wait for your order to come. Ok sometimes but maybe not best on a hot sunny day. Took a little bit to get my cone. (3/5) Atmosphere - place has potential with the covered seating area and characteristic sign. Picnic tables in seating area were dirty and so was the ground around too. (2.5/5) Overall - place has promise but I just didn't find it above average and the area needs to be kept cleaner.

Such a cool place located in the St Clair West region of Toronto! These desserts are epic though so come hungry. More ice cream flavors than you can imagine with all the toppings available to you!

It's not that hard to like any ice cream shop but I could say the price justifies what you get. I didn't like the cotton candy on the ice cream but the fruits are well fitting! I had the bubble gum and the flavours are not super strong-which i like. The almond cone is crispy and the chocolate cover tastes better than anyone Ive tasted around Toronto. There's a long line up but it wouldn't take you too long to get your orders so, it's okay. Probably you'll wait 7mins at minimum during summer afternoon

We got the bubblegum and batta

This place basically has a whole bunch of Kawartha Ice Cream with some additional others. They offer lots of ways for you to have your ice cream with waffles or waffle cones or in a cup, and those waffle cones could be dipped with toppings on top. Even if you just order the scoop they put some additional toppings like cotton candy and whipped cream and a cherry which I really appreciated. Parking in the area is limited, there is some picnic bench seating outside and they do take credit card.

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum! I love traditional scoop ice cream. They had SO many flavours that they make in house. (In fact, during Covid they don't have a lot of their fruit flavours b/c they haven't been able to go to the market). I am a kid at heart, and I love getting Birthday Cake, Cotton Candy and Unicorn Poop. My other favourite is Espresso Robust which is similar to Mocha Almond Fudge, which I have a had had a hard time finding for years. Their cone selection is insane. They have every different kind of waffle cone you can imagine, which they make in house of course. I can often smell the waffle cones being made as I walk up St. Clair West from the subway station (or am I just imagining that so that I have an excuse to get ice cream. lol) The store itself not only has ice cream, but some Dutch treats like Stroopwofels. It's decorated it a super kitchy style with a few places to sit along the wall, as well as an outdoor patio. I usually like to take my ice cream to go and work off those calories. lol Due to Covid, the store inside is inaccessible. They have a social distancing lineup outside, and you place your order at a makeshift counter at the door. Then you go and lineup by the patio exit where they give you your ice cream. I have not been back since Phase 2 started, so I'm not sure if the set up has changed, but they have done a great job at ensuring social distancing and sanitation measures. In fact, I typically get one scoop split in half (for 2 flavours), and they weren't allowing that right now which I assume is to avoid cross-contamination. Although there's almost always a line, it moves fast and the service is so friendly. I friggin' love ice cream!

The full size of the cone - it's literally just the top!

The indoor seating area is closed off - just a heads up incase you were expecting to sit! Their cones come to you in a cup - which you'll see in every picture - the reason is that there is only half a waffle cone, eek. It's not a full size cone although you're paying a premium for it. So just be aware! Lots of flavours, good service and kids liked ice cream. I just could the value less justifiable with the realities of the cone....

Dipped homemade waffle cones - 2 scoops (NY cherry cheesecake, Rum & raisin)

While the presentation was aesthetically pleasing, in my opinion the taste and flavour at Dutch dreams is significantly lacking for a premium ice cream store. The two flavors I tried were rum & raisin and cherry cheesecake. I got them in an Oreo dipped waffle bowl. It came topped with whipped cream, a maraschino cherry and a piece of cotton candy. Portion size was quite big for one person - I prob should have gotten a single scoop. I really wanted to like the ice cream but unfortunately my honest opinion is that even grocery store ice cream could have given these flavors a run for its money.

My milkshake brings all the.... That song is stuck in my head every time I crave a milkshake. A great spot to satisfy your craving/sweet tooth. I always come here if I want ice cream as they offer an array of flavors, cones, and etc. When the weather is nice there is always a line up... but it is well worth the wait! (Great service and a Vaughan St Staple) I always get the iconic mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone! My go to flavour! Another point I want to add they always give you cotton candy and some fruits on your ice cream which I find very unique and a great way to be different amongst other places.

I haven't been here in two years. Gosh darn I forgot how good it was. I never had a milkshake there before so I got that. It was served in a pint of ice cream container! It was huge!! And the extra on top = candy floss! My friend had a mango ice cream and all the fruit on his! I have no issues with the prices they charge. With all the extras and the just being there experience is worth it!

One of the best ice cream in Toronto. I didn't like some of toppings on the ice cream just dabble check it if you are not interested in all kond of toppings.

After getting a good workout playing tennis, my friend and I had some cravings for ice cream so we decided to check out Dutch Dreams nearby. Lineup was surprising long on a late Sunday evening with around 25 people waiting to order. We did move along in a decent pace in the line and the store had many interesting ice cream related art work to keep you entertained while you wait. Also their long list of ice creams kept you busy in figuring out what to order. I wanted an ice cream similar to rocky road and they suggested to get the heavenly hash. It came with cotton candy, a cherry , whip cream and nuts on top of chocolate ice cream mixed with crushed chocolate chips. I did enjoy this ice cream but it wasn't the rocky road I was hoping for. Will be back to try out some of their other flavours.

Tsujiri (Tsujiri Tea Store/Tsujiri Chaho/辻利茶舗) is a Japanese tea spot and bakery of well, Tsujiri…read morethe Kyoto/Uji tea company on Toronto's Dundas and Elizabeth. The company has been in business since 1860 making matcha, hojicha/houjicha and other green teas, and you happen to have this tea and dessert spot here and in multiple cities. (I usually don't get Tsujiri's teas as I have my usuals in Yamamoto and Itou En, but because I see the bad Ohtani/Ootani way too often on the latter's displays as in the one on the Bums obviously, Shouhei [with the good one being Ikue-san who for us non-Japanese residents mostly know her as the voice actress of "Pokemon's" Pikachu], I may have to start getting Tsujiri's more often and Itou En's less often for matcha and houjicha. [I intentionally add the "-san" honorific to the good Ohtani and drop it to the bad Ohtani.] Yes Toronto and Canada, I too wanted the bad Ohtani to go to the Jays, not the Bums, and if you have always wondered why the Dodgers are called that, when the Trolley Dodgers [people dodged incoming trolleys to get to work] and the Giants were still in New York City's Brooklyn and Manhattan respectively until 1958, "New York World-Telegram" cartoonist Willard Mullin back in the day called them that as they didn't win their first and only east coast title until 1955, though the fortunes are the total opposite since they moved out west to Los Angeles and San Francisco.) Just like what I did with my Jirou review, I'll point out what items I see here that are not in my local cafes and vice versa. This will be a good reference section for me should I have the power to return to the city, and it will also give both you Canadians that haven't visited any of their multiple locations yet and international visitors an idea of what to expect. While I sit at multiple spots in my temporary home inserting the usual "Yes guys, the ladies are cute!" statement, I better mention this important note. Do keep in mind that the place, with a simple tea house look, is narrow. There aren't many places to sit at. There are just 2, 3 tables? Right around there. Let me get the item comparison part out of the way. Items I recall seeing here that are not in my local Japanese/Japanese ties cafes/dessert spots (the latter type involves a place I reviewed in Satura, a mainly European cafe at one of my suburbs with Japanese ties, including a partnership with a cafe/bakery in Tokyo)? There are items such as yuzu kakigoori (Japanese shaved ice), shiratama dango, dango parfait, and soft serve ice creams of matcha and houjicha. Items I recall seeing in my usual spots that are not in Tsujiri? Besides the cute decorations (multiple Sanrio characters coming to my mind instantly), the local Japanese bakeries/cafes have items such as kouign amann, "Anpanman" pan, Japanese strawberry short cake, ube matcha latte, and Japanese sodas. The fun part section? Seeing that my K-foodie sis, her friend and I are in a tea shop, a (too) legit (to quit) Japanese tea shop, of course I had to get tea in some form, as I picked the cold houjicha latte. We also had the matcha houjicha soft serve, a daifuku and an order of dango. As expected, the foods and drink are so good. Even my sister's friend said that the place is a perfect 5/5, and my sis likes the place despite not being as fond of Asian cafes or Asian desserts/pastries that aren't Filipino as I am. (She does like European ones like kouign amann though.) The flaws section? Normally, I penalize a cafe a star if it doesn't carry a caffeine free drink as I seriously think about the kids and how I often don't need the insane amount of caffeine, but because Tsujiri is a Japanese green tea company, I can't deduct a point for not having a mugicha. Besides, outside of mugicha, houjicha is a good alternative for kids that are old enough anyway. So, with that said/typed, the only flaw I can think of is the limited parking, but of course, this is Downtown Toronto now. Tsujiri is that good of a tea spot. Though there isn't an ideal parking situation, the place is that good of a spot because of the good tea and food. It may never be my top Japanese cafe (I've known Clover for around 20 years or so), but it is that good never the less. If you're looking for a good cafe/dessert spot in Toronto or in multiple cities in Canada, go to a Tsujiri spot! +/Tsujiri is terrific at being hospitable and flashing dashing foods and drinks, and having multiple locations in the country shows how good the spots have been. -/There's limited parking, but of course, this is Downtown Toronto/whatever Canadian city you're from after all.
