This was an impromptu trip as I usually visit the dessert stop nearby on the way back from Costco. Being a scorcher of a day I felt like having ice cream and reached for the trusty old Yelp app to find an ice cream spot nearby. This spot was close by so decided to give them try. The rave reviews now look perplexing as I found the ice cream to be below average I would say something one gets from packaged ice cream sold at stores (not the premium versions either). They are priced on the higher side as well so can't justify that either. 2 Stars.

My go-to ice cream spot. Generous portions, amazing flavours, and wonderful family service. Highly recommend!

Amazing summertime this year, with an average of an ice cream eaten every two days. Lickadee Split only opens during summer and they have great flavours that puts you in the state of mind of proalisis through analysis... Too many flavours. If it's your first time, pick the flavours which Platinum is indicated on the side, it's creamier and richer with better ingrediants. Either way, feel adventurous and try en all. Afterall summer is still going strong. Flavours changes sometimes, but the classic and popular ones remains. A favourite with family and children living around this neighbourhood. And with a school nearby, if school was still on (cause of Covid), I'm sure there will be lots of students strolling here to grand themselves a treat. My favourite favour so far is the Raspberry chocolate swirl. Cone or cup, it also available in different sizes. I'm so glad this place is still around post-Covid.

After an afternoon hike along the Don River, we were in dire need of some sweet sweet therapy. Close proximity to downtown we decided to venture towards Lickadee Split on Coxwell. I have a soft-spot for soft-serve and confectioneries! With a ton of selections to choose from Lickadee Split is a classic, popular and awesome joint for some cool treats if you're ever in the east-end of the city. Beware their one scoop is a MASSIVE one, thankfully the person helping me recommended I first see their quantity before being so keen on jumping on the two-scoop-wagon. Thankfully One was enough, both Jen and I each took something we liked. Chocolate Fudge was for her. Over-decadent, every chocolate-lovers love! Gold Ribbon- mix of caramel, chocolate, and vanilla, I truly loved this trio of flavor, each complemented one another. TRULY delicious!

A hidden gem! A good selection of ice cream. Reasonable prices and large amounts! We got one scoop for $4 and it was like they gave us two scoops! Next time, I'll opt for a cup because the ice cream was melting faster than we could eat! Friendly staff! Cash and debit only! Cute outdoor sitting! A nice after dinner delight.

I never knew a…read moreplace like this existed in Toronto, although I've always been fascinated by the exterior of this place. This is a frozen dessert emporium! With more ice cream and frozen yogurt flavours than you can imagine. And at least 20 waffle cone and bowl options. Looking at pictures from last year, it appears the waffle cone options change regularly as well. But they don't give you just any ice cream cone. They surprise you with additional toppings! How to feel like a kid again (except my kid who didn't appreciate the extra toppings). When we arrived, there was no line and I thought "why are there three people behind the counter?" From that point on there was a line up out the door. The place itself is a feast for the eyes. There is so much to look at, it's hard to focus on eating. Although ice cream and frozen yogurt are their specialty, they also have Dutch goods, popcorn and a wide variety of drinks. It does feel like a European cafe in the middle of Toronto. Fresh air blowing through the open doors. One interesting thing I learned is that the ice cream is kosher (the frozen yogurt is not?). Someone mentioned it was outlined somewhere on the outside of the building. Also, the only negative feature of this place is the number of bees both inside and outside. As someone terrified of bees, this was a nightmare. Thankfully, there is so much sugar around that they don't focus on anything for any significant length of time. This place is a gem in the city. It does not get enough recognition. You love ice cream? You need to check this place out!

Even with that there are 3 or 4 tables for to enjoy treat and about a dozen Jones and waffle bowl options to choose from. They even carried hard to find speculoos cookies from Holland, a childhood treat, that I 'scooped up' and appreciated. Staff was super friendly and happy to be serving, which was extra nice. A treat and special place for certain, but worth a stop by when your nearby.
