First time here and I was very impressed with the ice cream. Lots of flavours to choose from and all made in-house. I sampled the root beer float and matcha, both of which were good, but I went with root beer float cause it was the more unique one. It tasted just like a root beer float but the root beer flavour was mixed into the ice cream! So tasty. At first I thought the prices here were on the higher side, but after I ordered the micro scoop (smallest size available) on a regular cone, I realized that the serving sizes are so big that it actually isn't more expensive than other places. My micro scoop was more like a single scoop and I almost had trouble finishing it! Given the size, I'd say their prices are spot on. read more

Being a scorcher of a day I felt like having ice cream and reached for the trusty old Yelp app to find an ice cream spot nearby. This spot was close by so decided to give them try. The rave reviews now look perplexing as I found the ice cream to be below average I would say something one gets from packaged ice cream sold at stores (not the premium versions either). Amazing summertime this year, with an average of an ice cream eaten every two days. Lickadee Split only opens during summer and they have great flavours that puts you in the state of mind of proalisis through analysis... Too many flavours. If it's your first time, pick the flavours which Platinum is indicated on the side, it's creamier and richer with better ingrediants. Either way, feel adventurous and try en all. Afterall summer is still going strong. Flavours changes sometimes, but the classic and popular ones remains. A favourite with family and children living around this neighbourhood. And with a school nearby, if school was still on (cause of Covid), I'm sure there will be lots of students strolling here to grand themselves a treat. After an afternoon hike along the Don River, we were in dire need of some sweet sweet therapy. Close proximity to downtown we decided to venture towards Lickadee Split on Coxwell. I have a soft-spot for soft-serve and confectioneries! With a ton of selections to choose from Lickadee Split is a classic, popular and awesome joint for some cool treats if you're ever in the east-end of the city. Beware their one scoop is a MASSIVE one, thankfully the person helping me recommended I first see their quantity before being so keen on jumping on the two-scoop-wagon. Thankfully One was enough, both Jen and I each took something we liked. Chocolate Fudge was for her. Over-decadent, every chocolate-lovers love! A nice little Ice Cream shop located in an area full of hungry kids and parents alike! This place offers plenty of choice in terms of various cookies, sherbets and ice cream. There is plenty of space inside and outside if you want to enjoy your cone on their mini patio or in their nicely air conditioned inside. It's great if you want to take your little nieces and nephews out for a little sugar rush before letting them play in the nearby parks and playgrounds. It's also a nice place to grab ice cream on the go, considering there isn't much else around the area. I still come here in the deep freeze of a Canadian winter as I enjoy a slab of ice cream whether it's cold our hot outside. It's always nice to get friendly staff and service at these little self owned shops around town as well. Found this little gem last week while out and about. What an amazing ice cream place. The amount of freshly made ice cream "parlours" are few and far between. Just happened to be in the area and stopped by. Great flavours and the service was amazing! I would say the small is more like a medium and you can get two flavours in one cup or cone. This is a seasonal ice cream spot just south of O'Connor on Coxwell. These ladies come up with their own recipes for ice cream and serve them up to an adoring public. I heartily recommend the Birthday Cake flavor --- of all the ones out there, this is my fave version of it. The hubby loves their Dutch Chocolate. My Husband and I were staying down the street in an AirBNB and we stumbled across this ice cream shop. We tried about 5 different flavors during our stay and all of them were delicious! You can tell they take their ice cream seriously. The quality of the ice cream speaks for itself. The price was reasonable. So reasonable that I would recommend going a size up because their flavors do change on a daily basis so if you love a flavor it might not be there tomorrow. As you will see if you follow my reviews, I'm becoming a bit obsessed with ice cream this year. I've been going around Toronto and any other city I visit to explore the best ice creams I can find. I absolutely lucked out finding this place. I had a meeting with a client at the coffee shop next door to Lickadee Split and after the meeting, I had mentioned my growing obsession with ice cream! My client shot me a huge grin and suggested I follow them for a very short trip. I have to say that I was shocked! Lickadee split is absolutely my new #1 favourite ice cream shop in Toronto. This is quite a feat because Dutch Dreams has held that #1 spot for many many years. Sorry Dutch Dreams, you're now #2. :( I had the pleasure of meeting the owners of Lickadee the second time I visited, which was the same night that I had gone a first time earlier... We chatted for a while and we talked about how they had opened the store about a decade ago and about how passionate they are about ice cream. What really floats my boat about Lickadee is that they like to experiment with novel flavours. I've really started to go down crazy town exploring strange and new flavours and this place offers me options! So far, my favourite flavour from here is their Chicago Mix which is comprised of caramel popcorn, butter popcorn, and cheddar! It's AWESOME! They claim to cycle through about 300 different flavours through the year so I'll be returning here regularly to explore their creations! P.S. I forgot to mention that you need to be careful with what you order because their servings are GIGANTIC! One scoop here = 2 or maybe even 3 scoops from other places each! I often walk to and from school, and my path crosses by this lovely little gem located in the most friendly and relaxing neighborhood. Not far from the shop is a park, which is a prime spot for enjoying the tasty treats. Only $4 for a scoop of ice cream (which in my opinion is the size of 3 scoops anywhere else you go), you get a lot of bang for your buck for sure. And like it's name, they serve you "lickadee split". The flavour is bomb! Unlike many commercial brands like Baskin Robbins, Lickadee Split's ice cream is always bursting with intense taste, and it'll make you want to keep eating more and more. I came here with my girlfriend on a Friday night. She got the raspberry sorbet mixed with coconut sorbet and it was great! I got the cappuccino biscotti gelato in a large waffle cone and it was very good. The staff are very friendly. Their seating area is small but it was nice and cozy. I've seen this ice cream shop a few times on my trips with my husband there, but went in for the first time on Friday, which it was extremely busy, though we got rather quick service. While it lacks a bit compared to the variety of flavours that Baskin Robbins has, they offer a lot of options for toppings and cones that Baskin Robbins does not, and the cones and ice cream were much more flavourful than the big chains. They even had a colourful outdoor seating area to match the colourful sign and inside the store. The price was comparable to Baskin-Robbins or maybe slightly less or more (it's been a while since I was last at an ice cream shop) but the experience is at least 10 times better. It's worth the trip to Coxwell and O Connor to visit this place! read more

Great selection of flavours. The kids love the decadent treatments, like toppings and fancy cones. They always carry a sugar-free flavour, too! I like that there's a washroom available in the basement in case a napkin's not enough and you need to wash your hands afterwards.
