Great ice cream in the Yorkville area! We decided to make a stop at Summer's for ice cream to treat ourselves at the end of summer. The line moved quickly. There is no seating indoors and there were only a few tables out for seating. Ordered a double scoop in a kiddie cone, trying the mint chocolate chip and chocolate orange. There were also some stroopwafels near the cash register to decorate the ice cream on top. The chocolate orange I thought had a very strong cocoa flavour and did not taste any orange really. The mint chocolate chip however was really refreshing! Only downside is the lack of indoor and shaded seating. We walked over to the next street and found a bench in a shaded area to enjoy our ice cream.
Late Night craving of delicious Gelato to get carbohydrates through but acceptable on a cheat day one of the best delicious gelato to have late night for sure!
Walked by Summer's Ice Cream many many times but today my friend suggested we come here to grab dessert so I obliged! I got the waffle cone with one scoop of their blueberry gelato and actually- it was amazing. The blueberry gelato was actually so rich and creamy that it almost resembled the consistency of a softer marshmallow. I love the portion of ice cream they give (they don't skimp out like some other gelato/ice cream places) and their waffle cone was quite good! They also had some samples of their waffle cone at the front and they were open to giving samples. I will totally return! Service was nice and quick!
Definitely, 10/10 ice cream shop! It is a local business which makes their own homemade ice cream. It' has been there for 40 years! The store's inside feel comfy, mixing with retro and modern styles. Their workers were polite and patient, that made me feel so welcomed, especially for a person knew only a little about ice cream flavors. The ice cream was delicious and it matched the vibe of Yorkville perfectly. It is a must try. Highly recommended

They have a large selection of ice cream flavours, along with some frozen yogurts and sorbets. They're also known for their selection of waffle cones and toppings although I prefer my new ice cream simple and in a cup. The staff here are friendly and the speed of service is acceptable despite how busy the place can get, and the ability of customers to try multiple samples. The store has limited seating inside, and a few public benches outside so it's usually recommended to plan to take your order to go. An added bonus is that this place is open late if you're looking for an after dinner treat.

We loved the variety of flavours & even saw that they had some whip, we will be trying that next time. The customer service was lovely as they all had a smile.
Old school, classic ice cream spot! They have tons of great flavors, and several choices of cones. This is such a summer staple, it's a perfect way to beat the heat on a scorching summer day. We tried the butterscotch (pretty good) and the strawberry rhubarb (even better). Definitely would come back if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

There's so many different flavours to choose from that honestly I couldn't pick LOL. The interior is casual and cute, a good place to come for a sweet treat! Raspberry flavour is amazing

Service was amazing since you can request to taste the flavors before you buy - I decided on Cherry Cheesecake--it was absolutely delightful! Just a heads-up: this is primarily a take-out store. There are only two small tables outside, each seating just two people, so there's a good chance you won't find a place to sit. If you're planning to get ice cream here, be ready to enjoy it elsewhere. All in all, this is an amazing ice cream shop well worth the try.

Came across this place randomly as we were at a dinner reservation nearby. I've seen the place before as I've walked by but never knew how good it was until we got a chance to go after dinner. This place definitely gets super busy, as there was a line at the store until 10pm on a Friday. Since they are open longer hours we just waited around for the line to die down. My friend and I got toasted marshmallow I believe that's what it was called. That ice cream was soo yummy! There are some sitting inside of the shop but a lot of people were just outside sitting on the steps or the benches in front. Super cute spot, I want to go back and try some different flavors and this time maybe get a waffle cone!

So be aware or you may miss it. This place gets busy sometimes, so keep that in mind if you're not willing to wait. But it does move fairly quick. Only thing holding the line up is the people ahead of you who can't decide what to order and spend time trying out different flavours. And they have many flavours to choose from. Overall, the ice cream they offer is great and it's recommended to come here for ice cream.

This ice cream place is fantastic! I love Dali soft serve, which now offers a wide variety of flavors. I believe they change their flavors daily or weekly to keep things exciting. Plus, they have a huge selection of flavors, and you can sample them before you order. read more
An underrated gem in the Yorkville area for ice cream! Whether it is the summer or cold winter, Summer's has taken pride to make delicious handcrafted ice cream! Decided to give this place a visit after hearing amazing reviews from everyone and I must admit this place has amazing variety of flavours to choose from! We got their chocolate fudge brownie in a nutty cone, vanilla soft serve and blueberry cheesecake - didn't like the blueberry cheesecake but definitely LOVED the choco brownie flavour! It's a must try and I believe it will taste even better in a sundae with toppings. The price is reasonable and the scoop size is decent too which makes this place even better! Going to come back for more for sure. read more

Stopped in for ice cream and it was ah ma zing! The store initially caught my eye because Summer is one of my cousin's name. All their ice cream is handmade in store and it's located near the Royal Ontario Museum. I tried their maple walnut flavor and it was divine. It wasn't too sweet, the ice cream was the perfect consistency--not too hard and the perfect softness. Highly recommend if you're looking for good quality ice cream. read more
Ice cream is love, ice cream is life. Accidentally strolled by Summer's Ice Cream over the weekend and I'm pretty darn glad I did. This ice cream parlor conveniently located across the street from Versace and Stone Island and down a small flight of stairs. This small shop has been visited by the likes of Drake, Gene Simmons, Ashley Tisdale, and evening The Jonas Brothers. When you walk in there is a large case full of different flavours making it pretty hard to just pick one (which is exactly why I picked two). I ended up going with the dark chocolate gelato and another special flavour that I'm forgetting the name of (I suck, I know). What really matters is how it all tasted, and it all tasted really really good. Both flavours were both rich in flavour and absolutely delicious. Overall, I really enjoyed Summer's Ice Cream, is it my favourite ice cream in Toronto? No, but it's definitely the best you'll find in the neighborhood. read more
Lovely & delicious ice cream place in Yorkville! There are a bunch of different flavours of any kind! Their mango-raspberry sorbet was absolutely delicious. With regard to Covid regulations, the ordering is done in a pretty safe manner. They have a microphone installed outside where you say your order and then you pay for your order (credit/debit machine is also installed outside). I'm not sure whether they accept cash though. Overall, I recommend visiting the place if you're in the area! read more

We stumbled upon this place on our way to dinner on a Sunday evening and was really craving some ice cream. They have so many flavours to choose from - priced by the scoop and you can choose a few of their cones like the sugar cone, wafer cone etc with no extra charge. I personally got the pistachio ice cream and it was so packed with pistachio flavour - even with real pistachios! Definitely want to come try more of their flavours next time! read more

Hubby & I made an impromptu visit here as it was considerably warm out & we're so glad that we did as we enjoyed a couple of tasty milkshakes. The attendant who prepared our order was very friendly & we were tended to in a prompt manner considering it was mid-afternoon & they were busy at the time. They have a lot of unique flavors to choose from, in additions to toppings galore & also have gluten free options with ice cream cones. read more
Love this place in the summer! Summer's has a very authentic and natural dairy flavor which is very enjoyable -- I got pretty basic flavors (Salted caramel, fudge brownie) but they were both soo decadent ans good! There is always a line out the door and so many flavours to choose from. The icecream is definitely pricier than expected but it is super tasty and definitely a good treat everyone once in a while! I believe they also have Dole Whip (or a dupe at least) which looked super refreshing! If you go in the summer, you'll often see families eating icecream and hanging out on the staircase right in front of the store! read more

Long lineup on a hot Sat afternoon that moves quickly! Lots of selection-took the advice of many here and choose the Toronto Pothole and no disappointments. The issue here is they have so many choices and my waistline cannot afford to have them all.. oh well...better do more running to burn off my calories! You must give this place a try when you are in Yorkville. Be warned that Chanel is right across the street so your ice cream may cost more than you anticipated!!! read more

What I ordered: Rum & Raisin + Apple Cinnamon double scoop ($9.41) PROS: - One of the best ice cream places I've tried, very creamy, doesn't melt quickly in hot weather. - Apple cinnamon tasted like apple pie ice cream. The rum and raisin had a delicious vanilla ice cream base with large raisins, not too much rum. - The prices listed are a bit expensive ($6 for a single cone) but it includes the cone. You can choose between a sugar cone, waffle or regular cone. - The waitress calls out your order through a microphone and they have a napkin and hand sanitizer station. Payment is through credit card. There wasn't any markers for how far apart to stand. CONS: - Not a lot of seating but you can easily find a bench somewhere in Yorkville. read more

PROS: -Summer's Ice Cream is EXTREMELY SMOOTH -wide variety of CLASSIC FLAVOURS -scoop sizes are great for the price TIP#1: No extra cost for their in-house made waffle cone (it's got a nice sweet pastry taste and very crunchy). TIP#2: You can sample the flavours first! CONS: -not very unique flavour combinations -I personally found a lot of their flavours too sweet I got their Butter Pecan which tasted good and had a decent amount of pecan chunks throughout. Nothing spectacular, so I most likely won't be back ~ read more
Walked here having an intense craving for ice cream and glad I decided to walk here! Very good service and nice ambiance. I got the birthday cake ice cream and it was delicious, I devoured every single bite, I would love to come back to try one of their other flavors. read more
Food: 5 Stars Service: 4 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Fill Factor: Snack It is freezing cold outside right now so not the best time for a review about an ice cream shop but I like this place so much that I am already looking forward to warmer weather so I can have Summer's ice cream again. When you walk into the shop you are faced with a fairly wide assortment of flavours to choose from. Our favourite flavour is the coconut cream which in my opinion is not too sweet and has a wonderful texture and taste to it. I also liked the Strawberry cream and the Maple Walnut (though it is sweeter than the other two). You can always ask for a sample if you are unsure which one to get. The staff here is always friendly and patient when you cannot make up your mind as to which flavour you want. The space itself is fairly small with a few tables and I noticed recently they added a ledge against the wall which makes the space for lining up even less. I will keep this short and sweet (pun intended). We are looking to start the summer off every year with some ice cream from Summer's. Do yourself a favour and do the same thing. read more

This place gets really busy during the summer tucked away in Yorkville! Perfect spot to grab icecream to cool off when the weather is hot. I especially love to grab their pineapple dole whip but they have a ton of flavours and toppings! read more
