A cute little shop with such a wide range of desserts! The specialty cups were such a cute idea and every flavor sounded so good, you can't go wrong with any! It was just a little hard to find since it's behind a burger shop so it's extremely tiny. The staff were so kind though and we enjoyed our sweet treats!

Craving ice cream at 9pm? La Diperie got you covered. The best graham crackers, dark chocolate and 50:50 (vanilla/chocolate) soft serve I had on a lovely night in Toronto. There's both ice creams (soft serve and the usual frozen options) and we definitely loved the soft and not too heavy on your tummy ice cream. The place is full anytime you walk by in the evening but the service is so so quick. Don't get overwhelmed by the lines and just walk in - we did that and no regrets. We enjoyed our soft serve sitting outside watching the Toronto hustle and bustle. It was definitely a good experience.

A really cozy dessert shop space that really maximized their use of space. They have a solid selection of ice cream flavours and dips to choose from, however I wish there were more ice cream than dip options. As for service, staff was friendly and gave recommendations when asked

We stopped here to pick up a treat for my dog, which was nice, frozen, and he didn't like it when we gave it to him. It was $3.50. Nice place thought. Has a limited variety of ice creams, I think about 8 hard ice cream flavours, and a variety of toppings for dipping their soft ice cream.

Service was okay, the person who we first saw us ignored us but the person who helped us was really nice. I ordered the soft serve dipped with green tea and it was not bad, it pretty standard. The ice cream did look good but for taste-wise, it was like any other soft serve. Getting it in a cup was definitely much better than a cone. Would I return? Maybe!

Walked by La Diperie on Bay and I saw that there weren't any customers so we decided to try their ice cream. I got the vanilla soft serve (they only sell vanilla as their soft serve option) "dipped" in 70% dark chocolate. They "dip" the ice cream by drizzling hot sauce over the ice cream, which when it cools down from the coldness of the ice cream creates a shell and a "dipped" look. Definitely Instagram-able but the taste... I didn't enjoy the ice cream that much. It tasted like a regular vanilla soft serve (nothing special) and the dark chocolate ended up being a hassle to eat. I would prefer to just get toppings next time. The ice cream was also handed to me with dark chocolate dripping all over the exterior of the cup and so eating it was a messy and not so great experience. One of the staff members was really nice and explained everything to us thoroughly so the stars are for her! But sadly I'm not a fan of their ice cream.

Great in concept, but definitely missed the mark in terms of service. This place has a ton of different dip options which makes it super cusomtizeable, but the place was severely understaffed which resulted in the wait times being extremely long. I waited about 20 min in line and was only behind 3 other people. Eventually someone else joined to help but was extremely careless and was just throwing things together as fast as he could -- he even made my friends order completely wrong.

Overwhelming with options but it was delicious. Staff was really awesome, took their time to explain and help our party through the endless possibilities. Ultimate everything was delicious and the staff was great. .

Cookie dough dipped cone with Oreos and coffee espresso dipped cup.

Wow! Loved this place. So many different dipped options to choose from. Plus, cookies, milkshakes, and pastries. Be warned: very messy especially with a cone bc the soft served ice cream will drip at the bottom of the chocolate shell, take extra napkins. Perfect dessert to end a good night!

Tried this place tonight which is similar to an ice cream place where we're from. Vanilla based ice cream and you can choose from an assortment of flavored dips for your cone plus toppings. I was in the mood for a chocolate frozen banana so that's what we had. I had it dipped in milk chocolate and my husband had it dipped in dark chocolate 70%. He proclaimed it "excellent" and I loved my frozen banana too. Great tasting chocolate and the banana was soft enough to eat right away. Very helpful owner who explained to us how her store works and how to order your ice cream. Tiny storefront with no place for seating but the prices were reasonable and what we tried was really good. We'd come back.

I finally had a chance to try La Diperie which is so conveniently located at the footstep of my friend's apartment. I have been meaning to check this place out ever since I visited Montreal, not realizing that Toronto is home to several of their locations! I ordered their signature Dipped Ice Cream Cones in Green Tea (topped with rainbow sprinkles) and 70% Dark Chocolate (topped with oreo bits). The base ice cream flavour is vanilla. We also grabbed their mini donuts to go. We had those drizzled with Birthday Cake sauce. The ice cream was really enjoyable. You get a soft serve cone that is coated in their sauces. It hardens once it is dipped... which actually prevents the ice cream from dripping all over the place! In terms of flavour, the ice cream itself was creamy and had a nice vanilla essence. The green tea coating was sweet... similar to that of white chocolate. It was not too overpowering. The dark chocolate was rich and delicious. The addition of our toppings gave it a good texture with each bite. The donuts were warmed up in the oven and topped with birthday cake sauce. They tasted pretty light for a donut. I liked how soft and pillowy they were.

Saw this place on my way home the other day and thought I'd give it a try! Apparently it is a franchise whihc I did not know. I got the small cone of vanilla ice cream (default flavour) and got it in a red velvet dip, You can also choose a topping but there was nothing I want. The ice cream was mediocre, the dip made it too sweet tbh. My friend got a brownie on a stick and it was also overly sweet. For a price of around 5/6 dollars, I wouldn't say it's worth it.

This place is literally so good. The soft serve tastes so much better than the other places and the chocolate is so smooth. I will be back!

If you like ice cream and an over the top experience this is the place to visit. I never knew a…read moreplace like this existed in Toronto, although I've always been fascinated by the exterior of this place. This is a frozen dessert emporium! With more ice cream and frozen yogurt flavours than you can imagine. And at least 20 waffle cone and bowl options. Looking at pictures from last year, it appears the waffle cone options change regularly as well. But they don't give you just any ice cream cone. They surprise you with additional toppings! How to feel like a kid again (except my kid who didn't appreciate the extra toppings). When we arrived, there was no line and I thought "why are there three people behind the counter?" From that point on there was a line up out the door. The place itself is a feast for the eyes. There is so much to look at, it's hard to focus on eating. Although ice cream and frozen yogurt are their specialty, they also have Dutch goods, popcorn and a wide variety of drinks. It does feel like a European cafe in the middle of Toronto. Fresh air blowing through the open doors. One interesting thing I learned is that the ice cream is kosher (the frozen yogurt is not?). Someone mentioned it was outlined somewhere on the outside of the building. Also, the only negative feature of this place is the number of bees both inside and outside. As someone terrified of bees, this was a nightmare. Thankfully, there is so much sugar around that they don't focus on anything for any significant length of time. This place is a gem in the city. It does not get enough recognition. You love ice cream? You need to check this place out!

Even with that there are 3 or 4 tables for to enjoy treat and about a dozen Jones and waffle bowl options to choose from. They even carried hard to find speculoos cookies from Holland, a childhood treat, that I 'scooped up' and appreciated. Staff was super friendly and happy to be serving, which was extra nice. A treat and special place for certain, but worth a stop by when your nearby.
