Amazing on a sunny wintery afternoon and anytime in summers. A family sit out and memorable place. I visited this place with my school going children almost every weekend. read more

They had a wide selection of items (ice cream, gelato, sorbet, and I think a latte drink special going on?) I asked for one scoop of small chocolate with sea salt flavour in a cup and was impressed by how much they actually gave me! There's a nice space in front of the parlour as well to sit and relax as well. read more

Murphys Ice Cream Parlor - a hand holding a cup of ice cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Mississauga, Ontario

Ice cream wasn't that great in my opinion. I got the Spider-Man and vanilla with peanut butter cups. I wanted to compare the Spider-Man with Laura Secord's Superkid as I love that flavour and they looked similar. However, Murphy's Spider-Man disappointed and was very artificial tasting. Both ice creams were also quite icy. read more

Been visiting Murphys for years! Cute little spot located in the heart of Streetsville. They have some solid options apart from the standard ice cream - sundaes, shakes, sorbets, frozen yogurt and gelato. Cash only! Gets really busy on weekends - days especially. Best time to go: week night in the summer. You may also get to some some adorable dogs in the area (seriously, we've sat outside and dog watched or people watched and it was great). If not your thing - you can sit outside on the benches / seating area or walk around and enjoy the little town. Weekday parking after 6 or 7 - paid lots but TIP: park in the RBC lot for free. Weekends - paid parking, street parking (meter) or use the RBC lot! read more

Owner was so rude to customers and employees. I bought 6 ice creams and they only offer 1 sample! Like really?! You're really going to deny a less than 1 penny sample to a customer buying multiple items? Being this cheap is not necessary and really stupid for business. Baskin Robbins has way better icecream, customer service and owners aren't this dumb and grumpy. read more

This parlor is located in a beautiful area in downtown Missasauga, CA. It is fun to walk around and work up an appetite before grabbing ice cream. They have multiple flavors of ice cream to choose from. In addition to ice cream they also have soft serve, slushes and what they call "icebergs" which is a scoop of ice cream added to a slush. The expresso flake and brownie flavors are my top favorites! The ice creams are rich and the sorbet options are delicious as well! (Highly recommend trying watermelon.) The prices range from $4-$7 read more

Pretty sweet ice cream joint! The quality and varieties are solid. Ice cream is nice in the summer but I've got no qualms of eating it outside in the winter because there isn't a melting effect to worry about. Cheers! read more

Murphy's was packed even right before closing time on a Friday night. The wait time was very short and the workers were great at handling the big crowd. I ordered a regular scoop of mint chocolate chip in a cup. To be honest, it wasn't the greatest mint chocolate chip i've had. I think I would've enjoyed this parlour more if I had tried a different flavour. My friend had the toffee and said it was good. Overall, this is a great place to grab some quick ice cream if you're in the Streetsville area. Cute place and there many seating areas outside. Also please in mind that it is cash only!! Would've been better if they accepted card. read more

They have a large variety of flavours and are very generous with their scoops, I got a junior scoop on a waffle cone but it was pretty big and filling! They were also moderately generous with the toppings on the oreo sundae. I went on a hot weekend so it was packed, the staff seemed extremely rushed and all over the place (not really their fault) I hope to come back on a better day read more

This is good ice cream in a great place, and there's honestly nothing cuter and more enjoyable than getting a Murphy's ice cream while in Streetsville. Especially at night in front of the parlour with all of the pretty lights up. My main issue is this place being a cash only place. This is 2018, and we're moving into a cash-less era. I'm also not sure if there was air conditioning inside the day I went, it was quite hot and humid in there. However as far as the ice cream goes, it's very rich and creamy. It's excellent! We always get the mint and chocolate chip here and I like the refreshing but not overpowering mint and the abundance of chocolate chips. read more

If you think of the typical ice cream parlor from "back in the day", this it it. It's located right in the middle of an open square in quaint little Streetsville, but at night the place is buzzing. I always get either the Pralines N Cream or Salted Caramel flavors, but I've heard that any tastes good - not too overpowering but enough to keep you wanting more. My only con is that the price is PRETTYYY steep for just ice cream, but I guess that's because of the authentic nostalgic ice cream parlor feel? Don't forget this if you go - they accept CASH ONLY! read more

Decent ice cream, horrible service! We got there at 9:45pm on Saturday (closing time says 11pm on their door). The staff was rude and rushed us. Someone came after us and asked for a minute to decide, one of the ladies behind the counter said loudly '5 minutes you have 5 minutes'. They closed the shop as soon as we walked out. I gave 2 stars because the flavor I tried Dutch Chocolate was sooo good. I hope they can improve the service. read more

First time here tonight and it's a little cute I've cream shop. Pretty small inside but it has a nice seating plan outside. I got a mango frozen yogurt and it was yummy, nothing I haven't tasted before. The employee put in fresh mango chunks to make it so that was cool. They had a lot of choices, not as much as other ice cream shops but still good! read more

Ugh. Cash only. How in this age and time is any business cash only? My college and I from the US left the place empty handed. I was utterly disappointed. Place looks cute and I'm sure the ice cream is delicious. But cash only? Why? Why? Why? Please know this review is purely based on the cash only option. Would have been great to try their ice cream. read more

Poor poor poor service! Went there the first time. As soon as I entered I found out that they only take cash. That is silly. Had to run out to get cash. When I came in, it was about 10:50, which was 10 minutes before they closed, and there was a line up. But the staff started sweeping the floor, moving everyone aside, making everyone uncomfortable. Another staff member then started cleaning the ice cream display glass box, pushing the customers away, making it hard to decide what they wanna eat. They should wait till 11pm, I.e. Closing time before they start cleaning. The staff was in a hurry To close and go home. This was poor attitude and poor service. Also, the ice cream was just blaaahhhh. Ben and jerrys is much better. read more

I become a kid again every time I walk into Murphy's. Every flavour I've tried has been a hit, whether it is pistachio or mango. However, as a kid at heart I often end up getting a soft-serve twist which they make better than anyone else. CASH ONLY. read more

We came to Murphy's hoping for a good ice cream experience. What we got was rude employees and average ice cream. They have a policy of only two samples. I get it. Some people possibly ask for many samples and walk away. However, their tone and manner in telling us and our kids about this 'policy' really left us with a bad taste in our mouths. I'm not sure why we proceeded to order when we really should've walked away. The store wasn't exactly bustling with people. We felt like they didn't want our business. Disappointed! read more

Craving icecream at 10pm? Good quality, real-cream deliciousness? This is your place. Stumbled upon it one late summer night. I had espresso (waffle cone), husband had cookie dough (waffle cone), eldest heir to my throne got cotton candy (sugar cone), & Lil "old age surprise" got Dutch chocolate (cup), all single scoop and the bill was $18. All the flavors were yummy deep but not too overpowering. Girls behind the counter were lovely. Def hitting this place up when we're in the 'saug next read more

Amazing Ice cream, Amazing frozen yogurt, Amazing customer service! I went there with my son today not realizing that this establishment is cash only, and I only had 7 dollars on me(or so I mistakenly thought) My son had asked me if he could have two scoops before we got there and I said yes. When I realized the place was cash only I asked my son to only have one scoop so I could still get a scoop of frozen yogurt for myself. My son (who is five) started to get upset with me, but the owner very kindly told us that he would take care of the situation. He made one big scoop look like two to make my son happy, and this truck happily worked... Then came time to pay. To my horror, when I dumped out my change purse I realized I only had about $5.50. And the order came to $7.75. I had mistaken a quarter for a toonie when I first looked inside. This could easily have turned into an awkward and embarrassing situation for me especially because there were other patrons present, and the owner had already blended my frozen yogurt serving with fruit. But he didn't hesitate for a second to reassure me that it was fine and I could repay him the next time I go there. I was so touched at his kindness I could have cried! I will definitely be returning regardless because my son and I love getting a treat at Murphy's whenever we are in Streetsville, but this incident meant allot to me and I will be sure to go back ASAP!!! read more

Cash-only, local and authentic business that every single person living in Streetsville has been to at least once. Realistically, this place may be a 4 for a lot of people, but it's a childhood staple for me as I've been going here since I was around 6 or 7 back when the old cenotaph was there and I've been here every summer since. The man who runs it is almost always working and he knows exactly how to strike up a conversation - he is the typical small-town business owner in a relatively big town, and he still manages to make you feel special (literally he always knows who my family and I are when we walk in - so nice!) and though the ice cream isn't necessarily cheap, they definitely give you a huge scoop - I always get a single scoop, and it's so filling that I borderline consider it a meal! Either way, every person in Streetsville - or anywhere, really - should come here at least once, even if it's just for the novelty! (But me personally, it's been my third time this year and it's not even June yet!) read more

I was very disappointed to see the hard ice cream offered here, which was Mayfair. It's a brand I'm not a fan of and which would definitely not draw me back here. I had a soft serve swirl instead. It was pretty good but quite small for the price. If I'm really craving a soft serve I'll come back, but I am usually a milkshake girl and though you can get the hard ice cream as a milkshake, the only options of soft serve milkshakes they have are vanilla and chocolate which was really disappointing too. The owner was complaining loudly while I was there that they were 'running out of everything.' Overall it was very disappointing and had nothing special to offer either. read more

The ice cream here is not that great and is usually freezer burnt. Their soft serve is a better option. But definitely not worth it to wait in the long line ups. It is still cash only which is really inconvenient, and it is quite expensive. 2 regular cones are nearly $10. You can get 2 tubs of Ben and Jerry's ice cream on sale for $10 and it is better ice cream, you can pay debit/credit, and not have to wait in line. Even Baskin Robbins has better ice cream quality. The location is great, and it is a nice experience to go and get ice cream and walk around Streetsville, but not really worth the long wait, the cash only system, and the sub-par ice cream. read more

Total trash. Dirty facility and ultra low grade ice cream. It's really icy and artificial tasting.
