    Ice cream flights

Extra points for the ice cream flights - 7 flavors in mini cones.. what an awesome idea! Unique flavors that I've never seen before like Chicago Mix, as well as some crowd pleasers. Incredibly friendly staff who are willing to help out. I will admit it's not my favorite ice cream in the city, but it's a small business with a cool concept and deserves to be checked out!

On a hot summer's day, I found myself needing something yummy to cool off after walking through the somewhat sweltering heat of the Banksy Exhibit. Then a quick Yelp search yielded the answer that I needed, head to The Lansdowne Cone for some ice cream. Enough said right? I'm always happy for places that serve their community ice cream and to also provide employment opportunities for youth with barriers to employment. That's something that I can firmly get behind and don't mind spending my money to support a social enterprise such as this. The mint chocolate chip ice cream was served to me by the very friendly and smiling staff. The inside is bright and colourful with a few places to sit along the wall. We were also happy to just chill in the A/C because it was 30+ degrees outside and this was a nice respite from the heat. They have a bevy of choice for ice cream flavours and you'll definitely find one you like. They also ice pops that are a little different from your traditional popsicle flavours such as hibiscus ginger or rosemary. Hope this place keeps serving the community for many years to come.

When I saw The Lansdowne Cone while walking up Lansdowne in the heat... my search for my dessert has ended! I am at Ice Cream Oasis! :) All the choices.. I hate making choices...and everything looks so good aside from Rum & Raisins... Pistachio Almond Crunch+Dark Chocolate ($3.25) was nice and creamy.. They were so hard freezing cold that the nice staff took a long time to scoop them out... I like them hard and cold, who wants to eat half melting ice cream? yummmmmmy licking good! One thing lacking is that sweet smell of waffle cones... but the great selections of the ice cream does make up for that! TLC is a great addition in the Bloordale neighbourhood!

These clever coneheads are located just south of Bloor street on the east side of Lansdowne. The Lansdowne Cone is a sparse ice cream parlour decorated in lime green and brown. Kind of like a kodiak bear wearing 5" patent leather gogo boots. http://i.imgur.com/gkqWqcL.jpg The staff is very friendly, and waited patiently for me as I pored over the 28 flavours of locally produced iced creams. Though I am typically a vanilla guy (oh, hush), I got their pralines and cream in a kid's cup. You can also choose their cones that they apparently make in house. The freezers are nice and cold so it was a solid scoop, not a goopy mess. This is important. The kid's cup was $2.75 and a double is $3.75. Not bad at all. They also feature sundaes and milkshakes too. Obligatory Title Pun: CONE you believe it's finally open? Menu Readability: Pretty damn readable, as it's the only thing on the otherwise bare walls. Need to mention: They have sugar-free ice cream available as well. What this place teaches me about myself: Did you ever notice that not even limes are lime green?

I live in the neighborhood and was excited check it out last night. The place isn't fancy, just a small little ice cream shop, there was one guy working (maybe one of the owners?). They had a bunch of flavours. I ended up with one scoop of double fudge brownie and once scoop of chocolate peanut butter (I love chocolate, can you tell?). Got it in a waffle cone....was soooo good. Service was very friendly, and there was quite a few other people in there getting ice cream last night too.....seems like they are doing well since opening. Happy to have this place in my neighborhood.

Step stool for the wee ones! So cute

Located just outside of lansdowne station, this place can easily be missed. Glad I stopped by for a 3scoop,and met the owner, who was super friendly and helped me decide on some great flavours! Will be coming back more often - they even have little chairs, and step stools for the little ones! Can't forget the sprinkles station!

Lansdowne Flight. We had pistachio, peanut butter chocolate, cookie dough, orange, salted caramel, Chicago mix, chocolate, mango, Nanaimo.

We love coming here for a scoop, and always miss it during the winter. Great service, great ice cream, and they're fighting the good fight!

This is run of the mill ice cream. Tastes like something I could buy at the super market. Nothing to write home about. Next!!!

So nice to have a clean ice cream shop. Great flavors and the price is fair for the size of the scoop. Great selection for everyone.

I never knew a…read moreplace like this existed in Toronto, although I've always been fascinated by the exterior of this place. This is a frozen dessert emporium! With more ice cream and frozen yogurt flavours than you can imagine. And at least 20 waffle cone and bowl options. Looking at pictures from last year, it appears the waffle cone options change regularly as well. But they don't give you just any ice cream cone. They surprise you with additional toppings! How to feel like a kid again (except my kid who didn't appreciate the extra toppings). When we arrived, there was no line and I thought "why are there three people behind the counter?" From that point on there was a line up out the door. The place itself is a feast for the eyes. There is so much to look at, it's hard to focus on eating. Although ice cream and frozen yogurt are their specialty, they also have Dutch goods, popcorn and a wide variety of drinks. It does feel like a European cafe in the middle of Toronto. Fresh air blowing through the open doors. One interesting thing I learned is that the ice cream is kosher (the frozen yogurt is not?). Someone mentioned it was outlined somewhere on the outside of the building. Also, the only negative feature of this place is the number of bees both inside and outside. As someone terrified of bees, this was a nightmare. Thankfully, there is so much sugar around that they don't focus on anything for any significant length of time. This place is a gem in the city. It does not get enough recognition. You love ice cream? You need to check this place out!

Even with that there are 3 or 4 tables for to enjoy treat and about a dozen Jones and waffle bowl options to choose from. They even carried hard to find speculoos cookies from Holland, a childhood treat, that I 'scooped up' and appreciated. Staff was super friendly and happy to be serving, which was extra nice. A treat and special place for certain, but worth a stop by when your nearby.
