Hey this is better than the funnel cake at the fair in Dallas. Way more options too. I could have gotten much bigger than this.

Funnel Cake with Ice Cream and Fudge
Meaghan And Lexie R.

5/5 PHENOMENAL dessert. Ice cream isn't too airy - doesn't taste like it's out of an ice cream truck. The fudge covering it tastes so good with the funnel cake (crispy, only got soggy at the very end), I'm obsessed. 1 portion is enough for 2 people. Would definitely go again (with my gf - she'd love it). (downsides: parking is tough, and line can be long when busy, but it's so worth it)

The ice cream here is really high quality, very creamy and really great flavors , and they put a lot of toppings on the ice cream. They have a good variety of Desserts like milkshakes, Sundaes, And scoops. I got a sundae with Marshmallow and a hot fudge, as well As a Mint chocolate milkshake with a lot of chocolate chips . It is a popular place for a reason!

Caramel and soft serve funnel cake

This is another place my sister and I used to visit as kids that we decided to revisit. While my brother-in-law and I were waiting in line, he asked what I recommended and I told him if I remember correctly, anything with their soft serve is awesome so just make sure you get soft serve. He later told me that at the time he was like ok, but how good could it be? And then he had it and it really is better. We all ended up with funnel cakes and they were so good. Warm, sweet, delicious. My sister and I shared a funnel cake for two which was topped with chocolate and strawberry. The strawberry was better of the two but the chocolate was still yummy. We just would maybe go with a different fruit next time to pair with strawberry. My brother-in-law got a funnel cake for himself with caramel and literally scraped the plate. So needless to say, we were all happy. One thing I should note is they accept debit and credit cards. At the risk of aging myself, the last time I was there they were cash only so I feel it's worth mentioning.

This has been on my list to try for a long time, and finally tried it in 2022. Attempted to try in 2021 but the line was crazy long and scared me away. The line is long but it moves quickly and they are well staffed. Super affordable and generous even with the junior sizes. My parents love the soft serve has it isn't too sweet. Will come back for their funnel cakes!

Dairy Cream since 1958 No matter when, you will see people lining up there. My hubby got the vanilla with cotton candy dip, he always chooses the cotton candy flavor! I got the rum raisin & mocha almond fudge. The portions are huge and I could distinctly taste the raisin and fudge in the ice cream. So good!

Dairy Cream has amazing soft serve. Still managed to finish my frosty after a heavy dinner. I ordered a small but I saw smaller cups behind them as they were making my order. I like watermelon but I wouldn't order it again as a frosty flavour. I'll stick to blue raspberry next time.

Small shop on your way to Port Credit in Mississauga. This is far better than what you get at Canada's Wonderland when it comes to ice cream and waffles. (and cheaper) Not much more to say about vanilla ice cream, but it's yummy! 3.7/5

Waffle cone dipped in peanut butter

So much to choose from! Went with the classic dip (vanilla and chocolate soft serve) covered in peanut butter on a waffle cone. Very filling! Also tried the grape milkshake. The small shake is a pretty large portion. Would probably try the scooped ice cream next time. There were many flavours. All of the options were listed on their website. The setup for COVID was very well done with clear directional markers. It kept a nice flow of customers into the store for two fast moving lines. Only complaint is that there are limited options of where to eat your ice cream before it melts!

Funnel cake, with vanilla ice cream, strawberries, and powdered sugar

I used to get funnel cakes at Wonderland every year and I really missed that. I was looking for funnel cakes nearby and found this place. We drove there and luckily there was a parking lot. It's a small shop that fits only 2 people at a time. And of course due to covid, they had a line outside where everyone was social distancing with their mask on. The funnel cake was super good, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was freshly made and warm. The warmth of the cake and the cold ice-cream are a great combo. I'm glad I found this place because funnel cakes are my favourite dessert!

Funnel cake and ice cream

Came here after reading all the reviews. Maybe it was over hyped a bit. We weren't blown away by it. Yes - you find get funnel cake every other place. So that part was nice. But I wish they had a nice hard fudgey chocolate shell on top of the soft serve. At least that's what we asked for but got chocolate syrup on top. It was reasonable which is another good thing. At least we didn't feel ripped off for an ok dessert.

Funnelcake with strawberries & marshmallows sauce, icing sugar on vanilla chocolate swirl

Dairy cream is about a 15-20min drive west of Toronto. When the weather is hot, expect a line that does move decently. They are known for their delish ice cream! I discovered they also do Funnelcake!! As good as Wonderland and the Ex! I said it, thank me later Hits the spot everytime!!

I'm not sure if you could choose what cupcakes came or if they had prepared boxes to choose from, but mine had 6 pairs of unique cupcakes (see picture for details). The cupcakes were not too sweet, which was nice as I sometimes feel I'm just eating sugar and nothing else (they were still sweet of course....just not SUPER sweet). The cream part seemed to be made of buttercream, and the dough part was also light. I liked the variety of options they had, and the cream part was designed very prettily with a flower motif. I haven't dealt with the customer service or looked at the costs, so I'm not sure how comparable it is to other places (my friends did all that...I just ate it :P) But if you like cupcakes, I would say to try it out.

I decided to get a Ferrero rocher macaron and a vanilla cupcake. I usually get a vanilla macaron as a tester but the Ferrero rocher flavour was interesting to me. The macaron was really good. Unfortunately I didn't get to fully enjoy it, as I was eating it outside in the heat and the chocolate and filling were melting rapidly. Even still, it was delicious. I definitely want to go back to try more flavours. The vanilla cupcake was good but not the best I've ever had. The cake was a little too dense for my liking but it wasn't horrible. I will come back to try the red velvet as that's the second flavour I usually try to judge a place on their cupcakes. Can't wait to come back! Wish they had later hours!

We were greeted by a younger lady, whom brought us over to a table. We were then given menus to choose our teas, and asked what our children had wanted to drink. Since we had made reservations, all of the food items were prepared in advance, which was handy, as it didn't take long for the items to come to the table. As we were waiting for our tea to arrive, we were impressed with how cute the tearoom was. There were many photos on the wall, which were handmade by an artist, showcasing the name of the tearoom. The decor was all pink, which was showcasing an Alice In Wonderland theme. I found that everything looked clean, neat, and inviting. Definitely somewhere that someone of any age can enjoy! The tables were nicely set, and the cups, plates, and utensils were colourful and fun. I had decided on the strawberry tea, which I really enjoyed. It was the perfect amount of flavour, which came as loose leaf tea. Once my tea was steeped, I was then ready to try the food items. All of the tea sandwiches were divine; tasty and fresh. The sandwiches consisted of egg salad, cucumber with cream cheese, turkey, and smoked salmon. Once I had finished the tea sandwiches, I then delved into the scones, which included plain and raisin. I loved how much clotted cream and jam was given for the scones; perfect amount! Once the scones were devoured, I then settled on the desserts, which were abundant! There was a delicious cheesecake, macaroons, cupcakes (vanilla and chocolate), shortbread cookies, and a sweet punch drink which came in small glasses. I really admired the desserts, as there was a good variety, and they all tasted delicious. By the time I got to the desserts, I was beyond stuffed but, I was able to take some of the items that I didn't finish home, and try them later on. The children also loved their items, which consisted of all of the same items that the adults had, minus a few desserts/scones. The service was also top-notch, as we were given great service throughout our entire stay. I really enjoyed our time, as we were treated like royalty. Will definitely be back; this tea room was truly a unique experience, which I'm happy to say met all of my expectations when it comes to an authentic tea experience.

A group of yelpers congregated here a warm sunny Sunday afternoon just over a week ago to take part in a 101 cupcake decorating class. Shop owner Kathy, aka the Oakville cupcake guru, walked us through how to decorate cupcakes in two different ways. Initially we learned how to load and tip a piping bag filled with her freshly made butter cream. Then using out tools we decorated our first cupcakes (a delicious dark chocolate) with the butter cream and an assortment of sprinkled toppings! For our second cupcake we got to learn how to colour, mold and design decoration for a cupcake out of fondant. Everyone picked a different colour and the end results were vibrant and uber creative for a bunch of baking rookies! While the classes aren't a regular feature, owner Kathy is incredibly flexible and with a call, I'm sure you could arrange a small class with her (we had 7 and it was tight). Perhaps a perfect idea for a birthday party! Sweetbites may be small but it's pushing out big flavour. They sell an assortment of flavour varieties but on any given day they also offer take away gourmet sandwiches and other lunch items for those in the area looking for a quick lunch! We learned how to decorate cupcakes with buttercream icing and fondant. Initially, we learned how to fill and pipe an icing bag with buttercream. These classes isn't something that Kathy usually does but I'm pretty sure you could ask her and set something up. The store is pretty small so you can probably fit about 5-6 of your friends for a decorating class. It's also pretty cheap for the class which we only paid $12. I learned that Sweetbites not only sell sweets (ie. cakes) but they also do lunches where they sell freshly made sandwiches and snacks.
