Waffles are not too sweet, dipping with the ice cream is perfect. Tha lava. I love this the most. The lava cake is awesome, feel that dark chocolate melting in your month. Serve with soft ice cream and Belgian Waffle. You don't want to miss it. The classic, you can select any two flavours of ice cream that you like. With with drizzle of chocolate and toppings. This place was slightly underwhelming, however they offer a wide variety of desserts in addition to ice cream. They sell pre-made cakes, mini donuts, cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory, milkshakes, and vegan treats. As the name suggests, their signature ice cream is dipped vanilla ice cream with various toppings depending on what you order; I don't know why I expected more than that. Their menu is very straight forward, the staff are friendly and will answer any questions you may have about the menu. I ordered 1 scoop of their Vegan Cookie Dough, which isn't actually "ice cream" (I thought it would be "ice cream" but made out of a dairy alternative). I'm not sure what it's made of as they don't put a description in the store or on the website. It was made well; not dry but on the crumbly side. They also offer vegan ice cream bars that seem more promising. Le Rocher is exactly what you expect it to be. It tasted pretty good, it had a strong hazelnut flavour. Their hard scoops (not pictured) were mediocre, typical scoops from any ice cream shop. TLDR; the scoops aren't anything special, but still yummy nonetheless. read more

La Diperie just opened uptown close to the Lawrence subway station on Yonge. I've tried Sweet Jesus, and I frankly don't get why this place doesn't get more love and hype. Sure, maybe Sweet Jesus has more 'Instagram worthy' ice cream cones. But La Diperie has: - The superior soft serve: tastes much smoother and way creamier) - The more interesting dips: Bailey's! Dulce de leche! Gingerbread! Popcorn! (Need I say more? :) - Variety of sprinkles and toppings that act as a good complement And while they do have recommended 'recipes', I like how you can make your own stuff. Plus, they also allow you to 'taste taste' the dips and combine different ones if you get cups. Further, given this location is new, they're super friendly and ask feedback about whether you liked the combination you made - maybe to help their future recommendations? If you want a pretty picture, go to Sweet Jesus. If you want a better ice cream experience, La Diperie is definitely the more heavenly experience! read more

When walking into this dipped ice cream shop, I immediately noticed two things: the amazing variety of the dips you can get with your cone and the very colourful decor. La Diperie has a very large selection of dips, it's almost certain you'll find something here you like. They also have several different sizes of cones to pick from, so you can choose your portion as well. However, their only ice cream is soft serve vanilla, so you're out of luck if you dislike vanilla ice cream. I enjoyed my ice cream. The cone that I got was the waffle cone with Bailey's dip and pistachio, and it tasted good. A big turn off was that the ice cream was hollow on the inside. Even though their large cones are big, you'd still feel like you're getting ripped off. It's also a bit pricey for what you get. read more

First time coming here since I was a short drive away and so glad I did! This is a little shop along Yonge Street, with adequate street parking. My dad just dropped me off to pick something up to go. I saw quite a few parties going in and out of the shop - only 5 people are permitted inside at a time. I walked in with one family ahead of me, who were being served. I took a quick look at the menu and opted for a large vanilla soft-serve dipped in orange sorbet! This automatically comes with a sugar-free waffle cone and was $6.70 plus tax. Service was friendly and very efficient. The ice cream was delicious! Not too sweet with a nice burst of citrus notes from my dip. They have quite a large menu, especially the options for dips is really impressive! I was surprised. Things that sounded very interesting were orange sorbet, pistachio, tiramisu, espresso, green tea, and more! I'll definitely be back to try all these different flavors. read more

We initially came here to try the dipped ice cream but the menu was a bit overwhelming with all the dips and toppings options. And not knowing what went well together. So I ended up with a Lime sorbet $4.25 and my partner got a cookies and cream milkshake $6. Both was good and refreshing on a hot day and they were both decently priced. The service was also good. I have been meaning to try this ice cream place for some time. They have vanilla soft serve as well as cookie dough and cool hard ice cream flavors. But the best part are all the dips! They have so many different flavors of dips and you can combine up to two to cover your dessert. The dips harden into a hard shell which is really cool. Only the soft serve can be served in a cone so if you get hard ice cream it's in a cup. There are also a variety of toppings you can add if the dips aren't indulgent enough for you. The inside is clean and staff are super friendly and will tell you all about how ordering works. I will definitely be back to try some different dip flavors! read more

Ice cream is kind of bland and has the taste and mouthfeel of an iced lower-fat milk rather than cream. A great little spot that serves up a nice variety of soft ice cream dip flavors and other naughty sweet options. I'm a simple person and dont care to venture into the realm of nuts and sprinkles atop a deliciously sweet dip which I've likely never had before but from afar , I marvel at the beauty of some of the cones people order. I took an orange dip on this occasion and it reminded me of the orange creamsicles I'd had as a kid. I may get some sprinkles next time. The place is clean with seating and the staff is always friendly. I shall return. read more

What a scam!! Way too expensive and what you get is garbage. The poster was soooo appealing that we ran in the store. $13 later we received mini cones with barely any pretzels on it. The service was crap. I will never go there again. I have pictures. I wish I could add them. read more
