Went with my friend for late night gelato. Ladies at the counter were friendly, and the dining area was clean and modern but cozy. Going again with my friend in the summer.

This is a super busy bustling place in Kensington market, with an amazing amount of flavors and the place I first ever tried an affagato. This is an absolute must if you like coffee and gelato, and seriously who doesn't. Basically it's a scoop of gelato with hot fresh espresso poured over it, then you dig in and eat it and then drink what left. It's a dream dessert and coffee in one. I'm not sure why I've never had one before but they are my new addiction. Loved this version with not your basic vanilla but with the stracciatella gelato, a vanilla gelato with chocolate flakes. I watched then pour over the espresso, and then dug in! Absolutely delicious without being overly sweet. A good afternoon pick me up. Best way to put it. This place was packed but the service is pretty quick. The rest of the stuff here looked really good too, so many good flavors to choose from. This affagato though is the way to go! Yum!

The ice cream was very delicious. Several varieties to chose from. We had the caramel one and seasonal pumpkin spice one.

IM IN LOVE. I dropped by near closing time (they close at 11 but we came in at 10-ish) and there were around 6 flavours available. The worker was beginning to close. I got the small cup with the pistachio and hazelnut (there was a fancy name that I could not remember). But OH MY GOODNESS. The hazelnut gelato was OUT OF THIS WORLD D E L I C I O U S. How could something be so delicious? It tasted exactly like Ferrero Rocher with chunks of hazelnut beautifully distributed in the gelato. Wow. Just wow. I will DEFINITELY be returning and getting that delicious hazelnut gelato. Only complain is that you buy 2 "scoops" but since the gelato is so thick or another confounding factor, they don't give you scoops, they give you slabs of gelato. The portion might be off for every order (those 10 grams of extra ice cream might do wonders).

Delicious gelato with a wide range of flavours to choose from. You have to pay first then you get to try 1 sample. Prices are okay for gelato. Quality is amazing, except for the pistachio. My personal favourites are hazelnut, raspberry and mango. Deducting one star since some of the staff are rude to the customers (multiple counts of rolling eyes were observed).

Crepe with three scoops of gelato, and Apple cinnamon tea

I love gelato. My go-to flavour is always pistachio. I came here on a rainy day and got a crepe with 3 scoops of gelato- pistachio, strawberry cheesecake and (I forgot the name) white chocolate with nutella. The gelato was creamy and flavourful. The crepe itself did not stand out that much though. If I come back I'd just stick to a cup of gelato on its own! I also got the hot apple cinnamon tea which really hit the spot and complimented the cold dessert :) Highly recommend!!! The server was super nice! This place deserves five stars just because of the service!

lots gelato flavours to choose from and a nice list of specialty teas/coffees! their gelatos are so rich in flavour and velvety smooth. we got a small cup of the chocolate & strawberry, and another small cup of the pistachios & coconut! absolutely delicious! real coconut pcs, you can taste the salty and nutty-ness in the pistachio, the strawberry was made w.real strawberries as you can feel the seeds too! my friend got the hot chocolate/hazelnut tea, its so aromatic and light! worth a try if youre in the area!!

The Apple cider with strawberry. Strawberry and tiramisu flavored gelato :)

A bit pricey, but what do you expect for a little cafe in Kensington/ downtown Toronto? I have tried the strawberry flavoured gelato, tiramisu, espesso, grapefruit, and pistachio. All very delicious! They use their own espesso to make the gelatos that need a coffee base so that's really nice. They let you try it before you buy it so that's also nice of them haha! I also ordered an apple cider on this recent visit. They add strawberry which gives it a strawberry jam sweetened flavour. It's definitely not what I crave when it comes to a good hot apple cider, but it was pleasant. Nice to see them try something a bit different. :)

tiramisu + blueberry, liked the former better
    Amber C.

3.5/5 Not bad at all! I ordered the tiramisu, which was subtle and not too sweet, and the blueberry which was okay but I wouldn't order again. It was around $5.45 for a small, which is quite a steep price for the amount they give. However, my server tried to fill the tiny cup as full as possible which was commendable.

toasted marshmallow & blueberry cheesecake yogurt. spectacular!

When I saw $13 for a pint, I felt my stomach drop to my feet and I about ran away in fear.. then, I realized I'm a modern woman that can do anything I set my heart to, so I proceeded to the counter. **ok I know I'm dramatic** but really, that's the price for a pint! :/ The gelato, however, was absolutely amazing. I tried the toasted marshmallow, blueberry cheesecake yogurt and hazelnut. When you get the second size up (small) you can choose two flavors so I optimized my options and splurged a little. (the pictured size is about $5) and WORTH IT! This is definitely a place you go to for a treat and I emphasize on treeeeat (; but truly, it is absolutely delicious. The only thing that turns me off is the price point. So good!

Dolce de leche and pumpkin pie gelato
    Shakira H.

I ventured here because my friend had a gelato craving. The gelato was quite good and I was very pleased by the selection. It varied from fruity to creamy. I think almost anyone could find something they'd like here. It wasn't a very busy night when we walked in and no one else was in line. The server let us sample many flavours until I decided on pumpkin pie and dolce de leche. The pumpkin pie tasted like pumpkin and wasn't overly spicy. The dolce de leche was yummy and tasted caramel-like. I was very pleased with both. I also enjoyed the reese's peanut butter gelato my friend got. The place is quite big and they had plenty of seating. It would make a good date spot or just a place to grab desert with a bunch of friends.

Located in Kensington, this place is great when you want to treat yourself to a nice scoop or two of heavenly goodness. For Kensington it's actually a pretty big spot with plenty of seating inside. Certainly wouldn't want your nearly $5 for a scoop gelato melting on you outside in the hot sun! The flavours are pretty typical - strawberry, chocolate, tiramisu etc and as usual I chose my lemon. I always say I will choose something else, but then go to my trusty lemon. The staff are friendly and the line moves pretty quickly so don't let that discourage you if you see one forming.

I never knew a…read moreplace like this existed in Toronto, although I've always been fascinated by the exterior of this place. This is a frozen dessert emporium! With more ice cream and frozen yogurt flavours than you can imagine. And at least 20 waffle cone and bowl options. Looking at pictures from last year, it appears the waffle cone options change regularly as well. But they don't give you just any ice cream cone. They surprise you with additional toppings! How to feel like a kid again (except my kid who didn't appreciate the extra toppings). When we arrived, there was no line and I thought "why are there three people behind the counter?" From that point on there was a line up out the door. The place itself is a feast for the eyes. There is so much to look at, it's hard to focus on eating. Although ice cream and frozen yogurt are their specialty, they also have Dutch goods, popcorn and a wide variety of drinks. It does feel like a European cafe in the middle of Toronto. Fresh air blowing through the open doors. One interesting thing I learned is that the ice cream is kosher (the frozen yogurt is not?). Someone mentioned it was outlined somewhere on the outside of the building. Also, the only negative feature of this place is the number of bees both inside and outside. As someone terrified of bees, this was a nightmare. Thankfully, there is so much sugar around that they don't focus on anything for any significant length of time. This place is a gem in the city. It does not get enough recognition. You love ice cream? You need to check this place out!

Even with that there are 3 or 4 tables for to enjoy treat and about a dozen Jones and waffle bowl options to choose from. They even carried hard to find speculoos cookies from Holland, a childhood treat, that I 'scooped up' and appreciated. Staff was super friendly and happy to be serving, which was extra nice. A treat and special place for certain, but worth a stop by when your nearby.
