We came here on for lunch on a weekday, there is no lunch special. The deco is nice inside, giving a Thai vibe. We ordered a tom yum soup with shrimp, shrimp is very FRESH, there are 4 of them. Soup is a more on a sweet side. We also ordered the mango Thai salad and khao soi with chicken. After trying many Thai restaurants, I found this restaurant likes to incorporate oranges into their dish. Overall, the dishes are good with the price. I'll come back again as it's close by my house.

Panang curry, Thai spicy, jasmine rice, chilli oil

Delicious panang curry with chicken and jasmine rice. This was so flavourful and rich - especially with their homemade chilli oil (bottles of chilli oil also available for purchase). Beautiful interior and impeccable service. Will definitely return and try more off the menu!

This place delivered a meal bursting with bold, authentic flavour. Every dish came out aromatic, colourful, and clearly made with care. The curries were rich and silky, the noodles had that perfect depth, and the herbs and spices came through beautifully without overpowering the dish. Portions were generous, the seasoning was on point, and the whole experience felt warm and satisfying. It's the kind of spot that hits the craving for real Thai comfort food , flavourful, fresh, and made with intention. A solid go‑to when you want Thai food that actually tastes like something.

One of my go-to Thai spots! I love their pineapple fried rice, and my friend always gets the pad thai. We've tried a few other dishes too and everything has been consistently good. The traditional decor gives it nice atmosphere, and service is always friendly. Definitely a place i keep coming back to

The food was so bomb here! Great pad sew ee, calamari and mango slaw. Great spice and flavor! I'll definitely be back.

Famous Pad Thai with Chicken

A pretty good spot for Thai food in Markham. I came here on a Saturday afternoon in January without a reservation, and we were seated right away. On this day they were training a lot of new people so the service was a little bit slow but definitely still friendly. We were a group of three and we ordered the following: - Famous Pad Thai with Chicken - Pad Ki Maw with Chicken - Spicy Garlic Stir Fry with Chicken - Thai Iced Teas The food itself was pretty good, however the Pad Ki Maw was definitely different from any other Thai restaurant I have ordered it from. As in, it didn't have any Thai Basil at all. I also asked two servers about it, and they both told me that this dish does not come with Thai Basil, and that it would overpower the dish if it did. The highlight of our experience was how quickly the food was made and brought to our table. It was honestly pretty impressive. Service for other things like water refills, order updates and the bill were a bit slower than expected. Overall, it was a pretty good first experience. however, I don't think this will be my first choice for Thai restaurant anytime soon.

We loved it so much that we returned again yesterday for a lunch date. Jeremiah and Molly took great care of us, and once again the food was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. We had the tom kha soup and the pineapple fried rice, and both were excellent. Two visits in, and this place has definitely earned our recommendation. We'll absolutely be back. - - - - It was an absolute treat visiting this restaurant on our trip from Texas to celebrate my husbands birthday with family. We were amazed with the service provided by Kevin and the entire staff, the location is clean, presentation of the food and the food is finger licking good. We had their pineapple fried rice, basil fried rice, chicken satay and pad ke mow! Everything was delicious and we cannot wait to be back to visit. Also, a plus point...this place is HALAL! See yall soon!!!

Khao soi

Amazing time at chiang rai! The khao soi was super delicious and flavourful. It is definitely my go to! Service was also super quick and generous. I will be back to try more.

My go to Thai Restaurant in the Markham area! The food is always the best, with such great service as well! Make sure to make a reservation before hand, as they are always packed. Definitely recommend the drunken noodles and always get with the best house made chilli crunch!

panang curry w/ chicken

Ok first off, the resto needs to remove the "Reserve a table" button off google when people search because it doesn't work lool. I've tried booking a day in advance, a week in advance and a month in advance and it ALWAYS tells me there are no tables available (doesn't matter what time). Basically, you gotta call their number physically and make reservations so keep that in mind. Food was good! I think their pad thai is the best uptown and competes w/ the likes of downtown stalwarts (Pai, Si Lom, Khao San Road, Nana). The islamic noodles were tasty but had more of a khao soi soup consistency. I was expecting it to be more gravy-like and thicker. My gf and I slightly prefer the islamic noodles over at Koh Lipe more because of the more tomato-ey flavour profile. The panang curry was rich and I could really taste the coconut milk coming through but we felt that they could've given us more chicken. It was 75% a veggie curry with a couple slices of chicken added in which was a lil bit disappointing. The portion size as a whole was decent. Portion sizes are solid. Service is excellent. Will be back to try some other dishes (I saw some unique ones that piqued my interest).

3.5 stars. Located on the southwest corner of Kennedy and 14th Ave. There is some parking but the lot fills up quickly and the drivers are from another planet with no driving skills. The food is ok, nothing great but not bad. The plating is nice and very photogenic... The seating is more like a market environment and not for a quiet time to have discussions in. There are booths and tables but lack privacy. The service could be a little better as I felt rushed to go but when requesting for any item takes a few tries to flag down the server and remind them of the items missing. I prefer the Avenue Road location as the setup and service are much better

This is a cute Thai place. We got there early but they do take reservations and I recommend you make them. They fill up quick and I know why now! Their food was some of the best Thai I've had. I had the drunken noddles Thai hot and they were both spicy and flavorful. Everything comes out with a beautiful presentation. It's like a piece of art. The sticky rice and mango I've never seen one like that before. It was Soo pretty and tasted fresh. The only reason it's not 5 star is I felt the service was a little rude at times.

Calamari, Fried Chicken and Mango Salad

We had an amazing experience! Everything we ordered was really presented well and tasted wonderful, I would recommend their calamari and fried chicken and the pad thai. The stir fry was a bit overwhelming in taste though but was still good!

Initially we were going for the idea of breakfast, but timing was a bit off from what we anticipated and it was a really nice lunch date instead. I love the Markham Marriott, the staff is always warm and welcoming. Draco has a very sleek, sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. We both ordered Bacon & Cheddar burgers. I opted for a Caesar salad as an appetizer and hubby ordered their Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak. Let's start with the apps. The Caesar salad was SO good! I wish I had taken a pic, but admittedly, my phone was tucked away and I was caught up in the cozy seating, great food and Christmas vibes of the restaurant and lobby. Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak: $33 - Buttercup Squash Puree and Truffle Oil - Everything you want Wagyu to be - tender, cooked to the perfect temp which left a nice warm red centre. This was melt in your mouth good! The burgers - these were perfection! Draco Bacon Cheddar Burger: $25 - Aged Cheddar with Crispy Bacon Strips; Crispy Onion Straws, Arugula and Garlic Aioli. This was a very well seasoned patty, so juicy and a substantial sized patty of fresh not frozen beef. The bun was lightly toasted, bacon crispy, easily taking this into my top 3 fav spots for burgers! Options for sides include fries, sweet potato fries, poutine, side Caesar or garden salad or truffle fries. We finished off our meal with 2 really good cappuccinos and just took our time before heading home. This was our first time back here in a few years. The food was exceptional as was the service and the warm staff. Draco is the perfect spot for an early morning breakfast, work or lunch date or a nice cozy dinner. They also have Christmas & New Years dinners and brunches. Relax in the restaurant with drinks or in the adjacent lounge, this is a great spot to unwind with some great food and drinks.

The server looks cute but doesn't seem to be knowledgeable when we had questions (and keep forgot our requests..) I support local businesses and hate to say this. Enter either you own info if paying separately or the same info if one person pays all of it. Lots of new dishes as well as old favourites: Chochin: Tried it. Not a fan. Tastes exactly the way I thought it would. Which is internal organ like but in an unpleasant creamy way. Duck liver raspberry toast: Nice but could be bigger. The raspberry brought an expected nice sweetness to the nice liver taste. A little more raspberry would be nice. Tuskune and egg yolk dip: It's ok but not that big a deal. Cheese momo: Fantastic. The swiss cheese is an excellent pairing to the chicken. Skin-Kawa - Delciious. Crispy. Must have, Hiza (knee cartidlidge): nice and crunchy Beef short rubs boneless: Was enticed due to the tendon part. It was nice but not incredible. Beef tenderloin + Chimichurri: Wife's favourite. We always order several of these. P-toro: Another must repeat. Great pork belly taste. Cherry tomato bacon maki: New and delightful. Bacon wrapped cherry tomatoes provide a delightful burst of tomatoey sweetness wrapped with the unctuousness of bacon. Lamb rib chop: Excellent and tasty. Once again everything was cooked perfectly and the amazing binchotan smoke made everything delicious. Fun fact, they put charcoal in the free water carafes as well.

More recently, one of MY closest friends held his wedding reception just down the road (at Casa Deluz Banquet Hall) and instead of a dance floor at the end of the night, he booked one of the party rooms here for the afterparty. From the outside, this plaza looks like your typical, sketchy scarborough plaza but the first time I walked into this place I was blown away at how nice the interior was. The lighting is extremely cool and the decor is very fancy. Service is prompt and friendly. If you need a battery change for your mic(s) or ring the service bell, you get a person almost instantly in your room. The washroom is clean enough haha. I've been to some KTV places with REALLY dank washrooms. This one is clean and smells relatively fresh. Also, someone in another review mentioned that there was a lingering cigarette smell. I've been here a bunch of times and there's almost no cigarette smell. Visitors are pretty polite here. Most ppl that want to smoke, I see them go outside and having a smoke outside before coming back into the lounge. I will say, they do use a popular touch screen system for choosing songs. I would totally bump this review up to a 5 star rating if they kept the song list updated (Bar+ on Yonge St downtown has the most constantly updated song list I've ever experienced). There were a couple new songs that I tried to find but to no avail. I think this is the best karaoke place uptown in the GTA at the moment if I'm being honest! They are very honest w/ their minimum room charge pricing and they also have a killer happy hour special deal throughout the week if you're not booking a room on a weekend. It will continue to be my go-to place for karaoke as long as they don't increase prices.

Dishes we've tried: - Bone marrow: Best enjoyed hot, with a nice refreshing flavour. - Miso black cod: My favorite dish here -- honestly better than what I've had at many Japanese restaurants. The fish was fresh, cooked to perfect tenderness, and beautifully flavored. - Salads: My son loved it; I found it fairly ordinary. - Mushroom pizza: Great dough, creamy, with generous toppings. Really enjoyed this one. - Watermelon and burrata: No complaints at all. - Shrimp pasta: Well-flavored with a solid portion size. - Steak: Not what I expected -- a thin, deep-fried cutlet rather than a premium cut. The only dish I didn't love. - Oxtail: A seasonal special, cooked wonderfully tender with a bright, refreshing flavor. Loved it. - Chocolate mousse: Another standout -- you really can't go wrong with a good dessert. Overall, I highly recommend Smokes and Mirrors if you're looking for fine-dining quality at great value ($50-$80 per person), paired with a quiet atmosphere and warm, attentive service.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is a very famous ramen brand with more than 50 restaurants globally. I feel…read morea bit embarrassed that I haven't been to any of them. Its menu already shows its uniqueness: its signature ramen is shio ramen, which simply means salt ramen. Unlike other ramen restaurants that often promote their strong and heavy-flavoured pork broth, Santouka just says "salty broth." I think it really reflects Japanese culture and spirit. The chef's craftsmanship shows that using simple ingredients is enough to make flavorful food. I ordered the Shio Ramen and an Aji-tama (medium-boiled egg). It still had a very strong savoury flavour and wasn't too salty at all. To be honest, it tasted like pork broth to me. Whatever it was, it made me feel comfortable while having the ramen and after the meal. Meals at other ramen restaurants are usually too salty. Sorry, I am playing with words here, because it is interesting that the "salty broth" isn't too salty, while other broths are usually saltier. The branch in Scarborough is spacious and very suitable for dining with family, friends, or even business associates. The plaza it is in is a very competitive area for noodle cuisine. You can add Hokkaido Ramen Santouka to your radar the next time you go there.

We ordered a spicy veggie ramen with egg noodle (kale noodle was also an option for the veggie bowl) and a shio ramen. We also added on an egg to our noodles, but the yolk was less jammy (a tad overcooked) for my liking. The parking lot will probably the biggest nightmare if you've never been to this plaza. The space between the parked cars is narrow and there is a lot of traffic in and out of the area.
