I've been here regularly since they opened, but after three consecutive disappointing visits, I'm finally rethinking my stance. At first I thought maybe it was an off day. The second time, I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe I just ordered the "wrong" item on the menu. But after my third letdown, I'm convinced the quality has slipped. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Thai Milk tea, and the Crying Tiger Platter from the Brunch Menu - both of which I previously ordered before and enjoyed. Unfortunately, it was not the case this time. While the Thai Milk Tea was good, the platter could be better. Firstly, the sticky rice was hard to cut into, and didn't seem very fresh (I strongly believe one shouldn't have to cut into rice of any sort). Next, the steak, which I requested medium rare, was cooked unevenly--one end was more medium-well, while the other seemed extremely rare (see photo for reference). The texture was also tough and chewy. The food quality just isn't what it used to be, which is a huge disappointment. However, I'm giving this place 2 stars, given the nice interior, beautiful food presentation, and friendly staff.

Going on a vacation to Thailand can be expensive. So if a full blown vacation isn't in cards, why not come here instead. Chiang Mai at the Junction was impressive. The food was tasty, arrived quick and was authentic. The spice levels vary depending on preference but are on the milder side. The complex flavors in the Massaman curry was the star of the show, but the Wagyu Khao Soi Dumplings were also a favorite. The pineapple fried rice and Pad Thai were also vibrant and tasty. The service was also really on point. Servers were available and attentive without intruding. The dessert was a unique take on Tiramisu made from Tea instead of Coffee. Everyone loved it. Chiang Mai is kid friendly with a dedicated kids menu, coloring page and crayons. The little ones loved it! They also had an accessible bathroom option on the main floor, so bring the grandparents! In the end, Chiang Mai is an amazing option if you're looking for an evening out. The ambiance, food and service are all top class. Plus it's cheaper than a flight to Thailand!

Excellent service and delicious food. Our server Mickey was very attentive and provided great descriptions of each item we inquired about prior to ordering. We went with the calamari, shrimp rolls, khao soi, and pad see ew to share between two people. The calamari was a generous sized portion and tasty. The shrimp came in a plate of four. The khao soi was flavourful. And the pad see ew was a good balance of sweet and savory with good amount of beef, although the cut of beef used was a bit tough and could have been tenderized a tad more. The seasonal mango sticky rice cocktail was really good, which included a half of a mango. Definitely would visit again based on the excellent service.

Half price wine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the place is really beautifully inside. The service was excellent as well. Can't complain about the food, though we're hard to please because we just returned from Thailand and we're used to much bolder spices. The ingredients differ a bit in Canada.

Wonderful seating and attentive service! Food was delicious. We ordered crispy fish for appetizer. For mains, we had the lobster pineapple fried rice, curry beef with coconut rice and chicken pad thai! Totally enjoyed the food!

All I can say is YUM. We came here for brunch as I've never had Thai brunch before. Everything was delicious and plated so pretty. The standout for me was definitely the Thai milk tea French toast. They make the ice cream in house and it all comes together so well. A close second for fave dish was the chicken and Egg Benedict. The chicken is so flavourful and delicious together with the runny yolk. The ambiance of the restaurant is pretty and I can definitely see this as a date night (or morning) spot. The restaurant itself is not too big so I suggest making a reservation if possible. Will definitely be back!

Two friends and I wanted to meet for brunch. I made the recommendation to come here. It was a decent midpoint for all of us to get here. I also have heard great things about Chiang Mai. Everyone said yes. We were supposed to meet up in late November. Sadly, one of my friends got COVID-19, so I cancelled our reservation. When he tested negative and felt a lot better, I rebooked us for 1 pm a couple of Saturdays ago. This eatery is on the north side of Dundas Street West. I parked on this street for over three hours. It was great doing Green P parking through the app. I lengthened my stay with it. I was the first person to arrive. A nice woman was at reception. She found my reservation and took me to a booth that looked comfortable. Frankly, the interior is gorgeous, from the bar, to the reception area when you first walk in. So classy! One of my friends had arrived just after I had, so we chatted for a bit before our other friend had arrived. We all spotted bottomless mimosas on the brunch menu for $23. It was a steal. You basically drink two and you've got your money's worth. Between the three of us, our total mimosa count hit double digits easily. COVID-19 guy had seven. Our other friend and I had five each. There were four minosa flavours: pineapple, lychee, yuzu, and tangerine. I wanted to get one of each, but our server got me yuzu again by mistake. Thus, I had to get five. Yes, had, as in must! They were all fabulous. Yuzu, lychee, pineapple, and tangerine are my picks from best to good. I'm into fruit these days, so I frankly would not mind any of them. They were so good. We all loved them. The pineapple ranked highest for our COVID-19 friend, who became a bit tipsy, but it wore off thanks to us catching up for over three hours. The brunch menu was fantastic. It ended at 2 pm, but our bottomless mimosas thankfully did not. We got the following brunch items: - CM wings with sweet chili and spicy mayo sauces - Chilli-lime spicy tuna bowl - Lobster khao soi benny (me) - Lobster curry grilled cheese We started with the CM wings. Frankly, we didn't need them. I love wings, though. They were tasty. They had some special blend of spices. The sweet chilli and spicy mayo were the perfect dipping sauces for these wings. If you love lobster, you want to do brunch here. I saw three different lobster dishes on the menu. Our table took two of them. One friend had the lobster curry grilled cheese. This meal was second on my list. I love lobster, curry, and grilled cheese. My friend and I have similar tastes. He absolutely loved the lobster curry grilled cheese. The cheese was monterey jack on baked brioche. The lobster chunks were generous. It came with fruit salad and mixed greens. I got the lobster khao soi benny. It was excellent. I loved the poached eggs and lobster meat on English muffins. The khao soi hollandaise was delicious. I got mixed greens, fruit salad, and home fries as sides. When I was done, it looked like I had licked my entire plate clean. I'd get this dish again in a heartbeat. Our other friend had the chilli-lime spicy tuna bowl. She loved it. I kept eyeing the perfectly fried egg that was on top. Her bowl had chilli-soy marinated poke tuna, ginger rice, mango, cucumber, avocado, and radish. It looked as pretty as it was yummy in her eyes. She polished the entire thing. I liked that staff were so patient with us staying here for hours. We split our meals three ways. I paid with a credit card. I tipped, tapped, and was done. The others paid with cards. I think one of us used a debit card. Washrooms are downstairs. The walls are painted black, which can get dark. Thankfully, there's a neon sign that asked, "Can you handle the spice?" We didn't get massively spicy items. So, it's a yes for now. The women's washroom was clean. This eatery is not wheelchair-accessible. We all had a great time catching up, laughing, and drinking more mimosas in three hours than we have the other eleven months of the year. Yummy food. Great mimosas. Beautiful eatery. Great company. We had a wonderful afternoon here. I highly recommend coming here. (488)

The ambiance was amazing, the booths were spacious, round tables always help for sharing dishes. The flavors were perfect. Each dish presented with care and the abundance of flavor in every bite. We requested no spice, with spice on the side. The staff were friendly, great with offering recommendations and accommodating any specific requests/changes to infredu to the order. Great portions to share for 2-3 people. Please see photos for portion sizes and dishes. Crying Tiger Appetizer Wagyu Soy Dumplings Lobster Pad Thai Shrimp Pineapple Fried Rice

BOTTOM LINE (Brunch Review): Lobster paradise! I don't usually think of Thai cuisine is being lobster-forward (or being lobster-anything for that matter), but this place serves it in spades, and I'm not complaining! The staff were super friendly and a few different managers came by to check on us (I mean, it was their soft opening after all), so no complaints in that department! JFYI, the Parkdale location is their only location serving brunch currently. Came by with a few DCs during their soft opening and not knowing to expect, I was greeted with a grand display of their self-labeled gins and vodkas, with their full-sized bar in the rear. Although we tried their WHITE WINE SANGRIA (would recommend!), I made a mental note to come back and try their cocktails some time. The design notes, from their neon signage to their overall aesthetics suggests that you really want to come by for a later meal + drinks. For brunch, my DCs ordered the KHAO SOI EGGS BENNY and Thai-inspired PANCAKES, and they were all quite satisfied, even the more discerning ones. I ordered the LOBSTER JOOK (or CONGEE) and, wow, it came out with a full claw and half-body (!), and a poached egg. The congee was on the cooler side of luke warm) but it was otherwise quite well done. Did I mention this was for brunch?! Brunch slowly turned into afternoon beers (They have Sinha on tap in case you're wondering), and we nibbled on some CRISPY FISH that was lightly battered. Checking out the rest of the menu, they have a full lobster special for about $25, which is very, very decent, and one of my DCs indicated that their Khao Soi rivals some of the best in town (!). I guess I'll have to come back to check it out!

Fancy decor, chill vibes, friendly attentive staff. Tried the brunch menu and found it amazing. Highly recommend the Thai iced tea French toast, sweet but not too sweet, super delicious to end the meal. Crying tiger + mango salad Standard AAA medium rare steak, the sauce made it really delicious the flavours worked so well with the sticky rice and mango salad Gaiyang eggs benedict Chicken eggs benedict topped with a curry peanutty hollandaise sauce super delicious Thai iced tea was delicious and now too sweet. Highly recommend this place will come back to try the rest of the brunch menu and the rest of the eggs Benny!!

I live in the neighborhood so I decided to try the frisky new restaurant. The reviews I read said good things about it. I decided on a take out food this time. I opted his Pad Thai with shrimp. The dish had good flavours, however it was totally dry. I was disappointed since I had plenty of very good Thai food in the past. I decided to give the restaurant the benefit of a doubt. Today, is Sunday and I had a craving for some spicy food. Do, I decided to try it again, I explained to the cashier that I like vegetables in my pad Thai as well as shrimp. She suggested that u pay $3.00 extra for the veggies and order Tam Yam Pad Thai instead. I also decided to order a green mango salad. I wanted it spicy. I also told the lady that the first dish was very dry. Please m aske it more moist. I brought the dishes home and unpacked them. That pad the had good flavours but the vegetables were very undercooked and cut into large pieces. Please see the images. Also, since I was charged $3.00 extra for the veggies I expected dims veggies. Instead were a couple of broccoli florets but mostly broccoli sticks. The green mango asks had good flavours, but the mango was cut into rather thick slices and very uneven. The were hardly any red onions in it. It was as thought an untrained helper made the salad. Normally, the mango is grated with plenty of red onions and red peppers either a goodly amount cilantro. Either was sadly missing. All in all a very disappointing experience and a waisted Sunday.

The butterly pea infused tapioca gave the perfect bouncy, chewy texture to the outside and the mushroom and radish centres were so tasty. Our waitress explained that they should be eaten in a lettuce cup with cilantro, mint and peanuts. YUM! Such a flavour bomb. The only thing I would have changed would be to add some sort of a spicy, salty, sour dipping sauce like a nuoc cham. The green papaya fritters were also just fantastic.
