    Pandan cake

Came for dinner with a friend and found the food quite decent! Average plate / portion sizes and some of the food was quite flavourful. Service was decent too (sometimes difficult to wave down but polite), and they offer a baby booster chair with toddler cutlery too. We started off with a few appetizers, getting the golden shrimp donuts (deep-fried umami which reminded me of the deep fried crab claws you get at Chinese restaurants) and spiced beef Thai tartare (just average, nothing too different from a normal tartare). Our mains were the pad see ew (the star of the show, in my opinion, with great wok hei and flavour), dried khao soi with wagyu beef (a bit of a gimmick, but the beef was super tender and melted in our mouths), and a braised rib massamun (on the sweeter side, but a pretty rich and earthy flavour with fall-off-the-bone tenderness). Though completely satisfied, we rounded off a great dinner with additional desserts. The sweet section was a bit weaker - mango sticky rice is a classic but their take was a bit too... over the top, with chocolate and rose cracker and whatnot. The pandan cake was a bit too heavy and sweet, nothing like the Bangawan Solo version (which I crave, to this day). That said, overall a pretty solid meal with some standout dishes. Would come again!

Amazing food, really attentive service considering how busy they were during their Winterlicious period.

The dining experience here is nothing short of exceptional, where every dish feels like a thoughtful curation of flavor and presentation. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Wagyu Beef paired with Black Truffle Fried Rice. While the truffle-infused rice was aromatic and rich on its own, the addition of a soft-boiled egg elevated the dish to another level. Breaking the yolk created a velvety texture that harmonized beautifully with the succulent Wagyu. For those who appreciate bold flavors, the Red Curry Duck Leg is a must-try. The skin was perfectly crisp, yielding to tender meat that stood up well against the robust, spice-forward curry. The Satay Chicken was also a delight, though I'd recommend enjoying it immediately to fully appreciate its tenderness. Equally impressive was the level of hospitality. The service was seamless and highly professional; the staff's timing was impeccable, ensuring we felt well-attended to without ever feeling intruded upon. Their deep knowledge of the menu and the attentive pacing of each course truly enhanced the overall evening. The experience concluded with a stunning display of dessert artistry. The Pink Tres Leches offered a wonderful theatrical touch with its flaming cotton candy, which melted beautifully to reveal the cake underneath. Meanwhile, the Lychee Sorbet was as refreshing as it was elegantly plated. This wasn't just a meal; it was a consistent, high-quality emotional experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a sophisticated atmosphere and nuanced flavors.

Fun place for Thai food! Bright decor and a lot of vibes. Le Lert is very close to college station, very accessible via transit. Easy to walk past but don't pass by the unassuming entrance! The dishes were tasty, and there are a lot of creative twists on classic Thai dishes. Very afforable as well and friends service. I'd recommend a visit if you're in the area!

The first thing you notice about Le Lert is its bright, colorful, and full of personality décor. We ordered: * Spiced Thai Beef Tartare Citrus Miang Kham Salad: our favorite here. It's really refreshing, with Asian pear for sweetness, and crunch from the cashews and toasted coconut. The dressing really tied it all together. * Omelette Over Rice with Northern Sausage Patties: The omelette was fluffy, the sausage patties packed with spice, but the rice was a little dry for me. * Dried Khao Soi with Wagyu Beef: noodles soaked up the sauce nicely, plus the crispy noodles and lime kept it balanced. Another fun way to enjoy a good khao soi. To me, Le Lert feels like Thai food with a fun twist. It's also comforting, colorful, and full of little surprises.

It's been almost a year since I last came for brunch. I noticed that the menu has changed a bit with dishes renamed. We started with the mango sticky ice drink and the Asian retro drink. They were both good and I especially like the gold leaf decor in my Asian retro which has a shot of expresso, butterfly pea for a tint of blue with rose pedals and coconut foam. Pretty while getting my caffeine fix. For the mains we ordered the ocean pasta which was a creamy carbonara sauce with two giant prawns and scallops with a hint of miso and topped with nori. Perfect for sharing as it's quite filling. The second dish was the pork belly on rice with bak choy. This was a traditional dish that tasted like it should. Don't be deceived by the entrance, the restaurant has hand painted walls and is spacious and the server was attentive. Come for the ambiance, food and the many caffeine drinks that are pretty. The print on the drinks menu was a bit small but was cute in a little cue card deck. Great place with comfy seats!

Le Lert absolutely delivered for Christmas dinner and I can't recommend them enough. Service Excellence: This is how you handle a holiday rush. The staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire meal. They were upfront when there were delays (which I appreciated), consistently filled our water cups without us having to ask, and cleared our table quickly between courses. Even though they were slammed, they never once rushed us out. The Food: Everything tasted fabulous. We had the beef fried rice and the dried khao soi with wagyu beef. The dessert deserves special mention - the pink tres leches presentation alone was a treat, and eating it was even better. The server recommended how to best enjoy our dinner with the sauces they brought on the side, which showed real attention to the dining experience. Atmosphere: Beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the holiday music made it feel genuinely festive. They nailed the ambience. Bottom Line: They handled the Christmas busy-ness with ease and grace. I would 100% come back and I'm telling everyone to go. This is how a restaurant should be run.

The place is really cool, with its neon lights and vibey decor. The service is also great - friendly and quick and helpful. The food though was hits and misses. Went there for winterlicious so maybe they didn't have their best showing. We got: - Appetizers: Mushroom spring rolls and grilled meatballs. The spring rolls were standard in taste and quality. The meatballs were overly hard-chewy and almost had an undercooked texture (even if it was not). - Main: Pad ga praow and pad thai. The pad ga praow had a really artsy egg, and the beef was pretty tasty. The pad thai was pretty standard. - Desserts: Banana brownie and coconut sorbet. Of all the courses, this was the best one. The brownie was dense and had a nice light coconut icecream on the side to balance it. The sorbet had a strong coconut flavour. Overall, an ok experience.

Such as the pork belly avo ($20) where a silky scrambled egg omelette is covered with slices of roasted pork belly and placed on avocado toast, which is great for soaking up the other ingredients. The dish is drizzled with thinned hoisin creating a sweet and savoury flavour that's so different from the traditional salt and pepper. And for vegetarians, their vegan menu offered some of our favourite dishes of the meal. The coconut curry used in the jackfruit curry ($22) was fragrant and just flavourful enough to entice you to have one more bite. Using large chunks of the fruit, it soaked up the sauce's flavours and provided a meaty texture to the dish. It's not exactly brunch but add some of the omelette to the curry to create a hearty meal. Even though it was the last dish to arrive, the jackfruit dip ($13) could be a great starter. Jackfruit is tossed with Thai salsa, onion, garlic, tomatoes, and a chili jam, creating a flavourful concoction that's spicy, sour, and slightly sweet. It's great spooned onto the extra-large pappadums or works wonderfully as a condiment. You'll want to make sure you order the jack fruit dip and pork belly avo to go with the salmon tom-yum quesadilla ($18) as there wasn't an ounce of tom-yum in the dish. Still, the well toasted quesadilla contained a generous portion of salmon fillet, and the poached egg added a nice rich saucy element. Yet, add some of the extra smashed avocado and the jack fruit dip onto the tortilla and the dish is perfect. And for the price, it's a very big portion. The umami pasta ($26) sees spaghetti swimming in a creamy miso sauce liberally topped with tobiko. Topped with seaweed and scallop, Le Lert's not kidding when they say this is an umami laced pasta. Though I'd find it too rich for a single person, instead great for sharing.

Great vibes inside, it felt like I was in a resort or on a cruise! The staffs were friendly but service was a bit slow. The music inside was nice, felt like a speakeasy. My friends and I tried their summerlicious menu. The cake was alright, it was a regular sponge cake with Thai iced tea poured over. The drinks were a bit overrated. The mango salad was nice, it was refreshing and tasty.

Le Lert wasn't on my radar at all, but when I heard they were serving a Thai inspired brunch menu, I was extremely intrigued. We showed up around 11:00 on a Sunday and the place was completely empty. After a quick perusal of their menu, I decided to go with the Omelette Over Rice ("Daily relish, greens, fish roe" and I opted for the Northern Style Sausage Patties"). The food arrived a little while later and it sure looked impressive. And for the most part, it tasted just as good as it looked. The egg is cooked perfectly and it goes really well with the plentiful rice, delicious sausage patties, and zesty relish. I also asked for a hot sauce and I was given a spicy fish sauce that turned out to be delicious. I didn't really understand the point of the undressed salad on the plate, but all the components were very fresh so finishing it wasn't a problem. I'm definitely curious to try some of their dinner options, so I'm sure I'll be returning.

We were able to easily book a table for four on a Friday evening earlier in the week for the time we wanted. When we first entered, it looked like a Daan Go (bakery) storefront, but once you go through a small hallway to Le Lert, it opens up to a much larger space. The menu offers several Thai fusion dishes and non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. We got a Thai iced tea ($8) with whipped cream, a pitcher of Singha, and a smoky Verdant (matcha-infused bourbon). For dishes, we ordered tuna ceviche, shrimp pa tong goh (Chinese donut and shrimp), super pa loh (5-spiced simmered pork belly), dried khao soi with wagyu beef, beef fried rice, and finished off with mango sticky rice. Each dish was very delicious, flavourful, good portions, and well plated. The spice rating on the menu is correct (pa oh, khao soi). We all left feeling full and had a very good experience. Service was attentive and quick, and the restaurant surprised me with a strawberry shortcake for my birthday at the end. Accessibility: there is a large family restroom without a changing table but with an automatic door opener and grab bar. The space is large enough to maneuver with accessibility devices. Public transportation is close by. Paid private and street parking are available.

Plenty of food & fun vibe! Taro chips were too thick but dipping sauce was good. Wings were okay. Pork belly, nothing special about it. Pad Thai was not bad. Both desserts were okay. A bit disappointed that did not keep up the hype compared to their sister restaurant, Koh Lipe.

On a Valentine's Day brunch visit, the atmosphere alone was enough to justify the reservation.
