This spot is close to work, so we often come here for lunch. I do miss the amazing lunch specials from before they were recognized by Michelin, but the quality of the food is still excellent. I've tried a wide range of dishes including spring rolls, Islamic noodles, pad Thai, pad see ew, khao soi, mango sticky rice, and crispy pork krapow. Everything has been delicious and authentic, with deep, rich flavours. Overall, every visit has been really satisfying. The khao soi is especially incredible on a cold day. The curry broth is warm, creamy, and full of layered spice, with tender noodles and perfectly cooked toppings. It was topped with beef brisket, and they were so generous with the portion, which was such a pleasant surprise. There was so much beef, making it extra hearty and filling. Will definitely be back.

Recommended by the Michelin guide for a good reason! More known for their curries, their flavors are loud and bold! I got the Islamic noodles and they were delicious. They tend to go harder with the spice so definitely be aware! There's also a line so prepare to wait a bit since it gets busy around dinner time.

Loved loved loved this thai place! Much more options than I have seen anywhere. I loved the panang curry and ambience. Service is super fast. Definitely a wait if you go on a weekday during lunch time but worth the wait! Must try!

Koh Lipe is taking the crown from PAI as the most referenced Thai restaurant in the city. Creative presentations paired with clean flavours and a beautiful interior and patio, the classic dishes are elevated by the overall experience. The higher price point disqualifies it from "go-to Thai" status, but it's perfect for a date night or when friends are visiting.

My buddy in town recommended Koh Lipe Thai Kitchen, which specializes in southern Thai food. It was bumping on a late weekday evening. They have a second location out in Scarborough. Service was okay but not particularly friendly. Main dishes are in the $18.95 to $38.95 price range. They asked for spice levels; opted for medium. - Jasmine rice - three dishes came with rice - Kor moo gaeng kua ($24.95) - pork jowl lost its crispy bite in the curry. Curry was slightly grainy - Beef pad mee kao ($21.95) - flat wide rice noodles had a great bite. A simple classic properly executed - Prik gaeng moo krob ($25.95) - good chunks of crispy pork. Nice with the curry underneath - Prik pao talay ($38.95) - generous amount of seafood (mussels, shrimps, squid and claims). Our favourite dish of the night

Incredible food, truly some of the best ice cream I've had and it's made in house! The atmosphere is so much fun, my family and I were in the "under the sea" section of the restaurant and went for a late dinner but it was still quite busy. Great food overall and priced reasonable for Toronto and a Michelin star restaurant.

I hadn't been in Toronto in a for a while and we decided to get Thai food when we were in town. Koh like didn't disappoint. The place was super busy on a Thursday night but fortunately we had reservations (highly recommend). It's also in a nice little neighbourhood on Baldwin Street which is a great area to wander around. The crispy tofu rolls were a little different from what I'm used to but in a really good way. They were fresh, crispy snd flavorful. The pad see ew was exactly what you want in a pad see ew. The crispy pork was also super flavorful and comforting. All in all the price, portion size and quality of the food was well worth the visit. When we're back in town we'll definitely stop by again.

Michelin guided restaurant so I decided to check it out. Michelin guided restaurant don't have any star by the way. Just a good place that to eat Thai food. Nothing fancy, they offer your typical Thai menu but with good quality and fresh ingredients. This is what a Thai restaurant supposed to be. Noddles are not soggy. Shrimp dumplings look handmade and fresh. They don't cheat and dump a scoop of msg like other Asian restaurant. This will be my baseline from now on if I go to a Thai restaurant 1.5hr limit on dining time btw.

Got the chance to visit Toronto last weekend and our friend, who lives in Toronto, took us to Koh Lips for dinner! Since Toronto is known for Thai food, we wanted to see how it compares (and honestly can't compare to Vancouver's Thai scene!!!). We weren't able to get resos but fortunately walk in was only a 30min wait, so we had drinks at the cafe next door. We ended up being seated on the patio since it was so busy, but luckily weather's still nice. We ordered 4 dishes for 4 people and everything was so delish!!! Pad Thai is more on the sour side, compared to the sweet ones you might find in Vancouver. Mango salad was one of the best I've had and super refreshing to cut out the oils from the mains. My favourite was def the rice - flavours were strong but not overly salty. Lovely dinner and a good pick for those coming out of town!

The food was AMAZING!! The islamic noodles were so flavourful (typically comes with an egg)! I didn't love the tofu in it but I'm sure the meat would taste better! Medium spicy was also decently spicy! The mango sticky rice was the BEST! I don't even like mango sticky rice and this is literally one of the best desserts I've had. The white chocolate shell was an AWESOME add and so was the puffed rice!! Service was super quick and staff was nice. Id recommend a reso before you go!

Met up w/ a friend and visited the OG location of Koh Lipe on a wednesday work day downtown. I believe it occupies the unit where Ryu's Noodle Bar used to sit. The resto is busy just like their uptown expansion in scarborough. The food was also very tasty. I definitely felt like the portions are smaller at this location than the scarbs location. There's also not much going on in the way of A/C so the heat gets to you really fast (they also open the doors frequently ... which Idk why they do this; patrons choose to sit inside to avoid the heat from outside). The moo tod (crispy pork) appetizer is cooked much better here than the other location. My islamic noodle bowl was flatter and smaller than the one used uptown. I also got less beef. My friend got more food in his fried rice dish. Service is way better at the uptown location. Friendlier servers and more frequent checkups. I think I prefer the uptown location of Koh Lipe more than the OG location.

I have been to Koh Lipe and gotten takeout a lot over the years, and only recently realized I never reviewed it. It's been one of my fav Thai places in Toronto.Unfortunately, this latest visit when I was pumped to finally write a review, it wasn't as good. They got a new expansion to the space next door and decor is quite different than the original space. More beach-feel, which I liked. The server was very nice and the food came out quickly with good portions. However the food wasn't as good as any of my previous visits. The spicy seafood platter has always been my go to and this time it didn't come out piping hot. I wouldn't say it was cold, but in the middle, it wasn't really warm. The crispy pork was tasty but had very chewy skin. It used to be very crispy. We also ordered the pineapple sticky rice with chicken curry. This was my second time having that and it was alright. We ended with some Thai ice cream; I enjoyed it but wasn't spectacular. Hopefully this was just a one time thing.

Hands down some of the best Thai food I have ever ate. We were a group of five that came by for a friend's birthday. We didn't have reservations and we were shocked that we were sat so quickly. We were given a one and a half hour dining limit, and we could see through our time there that they really shuffle people in and out of there. That's the one thing that stopped me from giving this restaurant a five star because I felt the customer service wasn't there 100% Our server was prompt to come take our order. We ordered three appetizers to share before we each ordered our own main. Our appetizers were only on the table for what felt like five minutes before our mains came out, and it was a rush to clean the table so that they could make room for our main dishes which made me feel like I fully wasn't able to embrace the flavours of the appetizers we got. Needless to say, the food quality was absolutely amazing. The Thai tea ice cream was a favorite.

The restaurant has a lot of smaller tables, making it feel cozy, and the service was super friendly. I ordered the dry boat noodles with egg noodles and they were so good. The side of broth was absolutely amazing and honestly one of the best parts of the meal. Rich, flavorful, and so comforting. I kept alternating between bites of noodles and sips of broth.
