Summary: food is amazing! Service is great and ambiance very lively and cheery. We decided to come here for our anniversary. We booked a reservation and glad we did cause this place is packed! Restaurant is very trendy and got some jivy music = great atmosphere! Food is tasty: order a pad see ew, moo ping, papaya salad. Everything tasted great and good portion size. Service is amazing and the service was on point. We loved coming here and will come back more often.

Was really looking forward to coming here considering the hype I've seen online Lively atmosphere ~ LEGIT Thai food confirmed by actual Thai residents (that I know) ~ high quality ingredients, great presentation ~ relaxed and fun ambience ( you can find me on IG @aida.loves )

Pai, I'm impressed! To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of their downtown location, but my friend was adamant on this restaurant (blame nostalgia) and so came for dinner on a weekday night. Upon entering I was struck at once by the grand, spacious room with high ceilings and seating that was not crowded at all by any stretch of the imagination - a huge contrast to their original spot where you had to maneuver cautiously past the tightly packed tables. There were some beautiful decorations too, including a drum-set on a small stage at the front of the room (are there performances here occasionally?) and various Thai-inspired lights and fixtures. My friend immediately ordered her obsession, the beef noodle soup, while I had the fried rice to satiate a carb craving. It. Was. Amazing! The rice was cooked to perfection - soft and savoury and not too oily - as was the tofu, just the right degree of firmness and with phenomenal flavours. The fantastic variety of vegetables even made it seem quite healthy! I was also especially pleased with the service we received here. Our waiter was extremely friendly and welcoming, making casual conversation with us and not hesitating to answer our questions about the menu. Needless to say, we didn't have any trouble getting our water refilled or waving down the bill at the end of the night. A bit of an unexpected find for me! Pai has made me fall in love with this location...which is calling my name even as I write this review.

First time to try the PAI uptown and we loved it dishes are great similar to the downtown one. Staff very very friendly and we didn't have to wait too long for the dishes. The interior is beautiful and has a nice aesthetic. There are many seats available and there is also a second floor where you're able to book a private section or room as well. We ordered the Khao Soi and Pad Gra Prow super delicious we'll definitely be back.

It seems the two dishes I tried here were missing a couple of significant spices, ingredients and flavours in usual Thai dishes just to be "safe" and appealing to the western masses. E.g., my family and I found the beef salad very bland - it didn't have enough lime like the actual Nam Tok. The beef is grilled but stone cold when served, and it lacked all the grilled flavours but just like plastic sitting on the blood-soaked cabbage and lettuce. Koh soi had the same issue - the flavours were a lot more lacking compared to other northern Thai places like BKK on Yonge & Steeles, in which BKK's koh soi was not only sweet, but with punches from the lime, lots of pickled vegetables and layers of spices. Pai's koi soi was mostly just sweet, and as a result, it was very cloying by the end of it. Also the beef chunks were rather tough - they should've been braised to the point that they would melt in your mouth instantly. My family did not feel very good at the end of the meal. Honestly, I don't think the food was THAT bad, but it was just mid at best. In addition, every dish here was about dollars pricier than other authentic Thai restaurants, but the quality and quantity were both lacking. I was not very happy about that. Shout out to Brandon doe - great kuya server, and yes - the interior was great and beautiful. But I just had so much anticipation for this place and the food was SUCH a letdown. It's a restaurant at the end and they really need to step up the game for the food.

We went to PAI for Winterlicious 2025, and it was a great way to try some of their dishes! We started with the Tom Yum Goong and Mango Slaw. The soup had a really nice balance of spice and tang, with juicy shrimp and a super flavorful broth. The mango slaw was light and refreshing--sweet, sour, and a little spicy, which made it a nice contrast to the soup. For mains, we got the Khao Soi and Green Curry with chicken. Both were tasty, but my mom and I found them a bit on the sweeter side for our taste. The Green Curry was beautifully served in a coconut, with extra sauce in a side bowl, which was a nice touch. The curry itself was rich and fragrant, but the sliced chicken was a little dry. The Khao Soi had a creamy, comforting broth, and the crispy noodles on top added a great texture. For dessert, we both got the Steamed Cassava Cake, which was soft, slightly chewy, and just the right amount of sweet. A simple but satisfying way to end the meal! Overall, everything was delicious, and the service was great. Some dishes were a little sweeter than we prefer, but it was still a solid meal.

Came to try the Summerlicious after a long hiatus from this location. This location has a cavern feel. There is a stage in the middle of the restaurant The Thai ice tea was too sweet. Tried the mango slaw salad, khao soi with beef, pad thai and coconut gelato. The khao soi broth had good flavour and was as expected but nothing extraordinary. The beef meat they used was not very tender. Pad Thai similarly unimpressive. These basic Thai dishes should be way better than this. I've had more authentic Thai dishes elsewhere. I think this place had better dishes when they started years ago.

Went here for a girls date with one of my friends and it was lovely, the staff were attentive and very responsive to requests. The food came quickly and everything was hot and fresh, drinks were a hit so refreshing and still really good for a mocktail. The wings were delicious very crispy and juicy the sauce they paired with it complimented it very well it was sweet with a slight heat but very flavourful, the pad see ew was a hit noodles were perfectly chewy and packed with flavour all the veggies were cooked well the chili oil was the perfection addition of heat wasn't over powering, the KHAO SOI was the perfect dish the noodles were also perfectly cooked the broth was rich and creamy packed with flavour a bit spicy but it was balanced out by the other flavours. Over all great experience and I will defeintly be back 10/10

Lots of variety! Everything is so well thought out, the green curry was very flavourful. The papaya salad is refreshing and had some crunchy shrimp crackers and chichiron to pair it with. We went on a weekday and they had a cocktail special. Everyday there is a special deal so keep an eye out for that. The sun was setting during this time and so it got really hot and the sun was in my eyes majority of the time. It made the dining experience not as enjoyable.

Visiting Toronto, we were suggested by two locals to try Pai, claiming to be the "best" Thai food they ever had. I loved seeing the pictures of the history of the restaurant on the walls and reading that a lot of heart and soul went into it. There weren't reservations available, but we were sat within 20 min from when we were added to the wait list. While we waited I ordered a boozy Thai iced tea, and let me tell you that was my favorite part. The vibe is trendy with various music like Bob Marley playing. I may have had my standards too high considering this restaurant was on a Michelin guide two years. My dish was okay, but it wasn't the best Thai I ever had. All things considering I'd def go back if I were in Toronto to give more dishes a try!

Came here with my boyfriend for the last day of Summerlicious yesterday and left full and satisfied! It was $34pp before tax and tips. I chose the starter tom yum goong as my starter and I was not a huge fan of the taste (I'm usually good with tom yum) but still a great starter. I chose Chef Nuit Pad Thai with tofu and veggies and it was SO GOOD. Compared to the one with chicken, the sauce seems to have more tamarind flavour compared to soy sauce and it was so so good. The portion was generous and it came out piping hot. I love the cauliflower and broccoli they added. For dessert, I got the ruam mit, and it was so refreshing and tasty. I loved the pieces of jackfruit and lychee swimming in coconut milk. So so good. Because they were quite busy, it did take a while for the food to come out. However, it was still a great experience and the service was great.

3.5 overall. You have high expectations from a Michelin restaurant. This one is good but not my favourite thai! What I like about pai- a lot of vegan options, a huge dining area, good service! This time I tried beetle leaf salad ( vegan) and it was delicious; unique but not sure if the price was doing the justice to the quantity. Next was vegan Tom yum big serving, came with Rice . It was okay, there was something missing but they accepted our feedback and took it back. Sign of a good service. For my mains I ordered vegan pad gra paw( omni pork) it was exceptionally good! Delicious! Hubby did chicken Penang curry it was okay. We also ordered lychee Sherly Temple which came after we were done with dinner, but the server themselves was aware and asked if I still want it. I really appreciate my server for cognitive and kind service. I ended up having it as my dessert lol, cos my 5 year old was waiting for it. And it was very nice as well.

I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this place! I came here with my sister while she was on a trip to get tooth gems. After her season we asked to get pointed into the direction of a good Thai restaurant. And here we were. For starters, the vibe was A1. Walking into the space you can tell it was made to feel like outdoor seating. Super cool. There was lighting hanging up above and the walls were made to resemble outdoor shops. I ordered wha felt familiar. Back home it's called "Pad Ka Pow" while here it was named slightly different with all the same ingredients. I also ordered fried shrimp as starters. WOW WOW WOW. The appetizer totally tricked me. When they brought it out, I thought I was getting some mid freezer grade breaded shrimp from the looks of things. Boy was I wrong. It was a delectable dish with thick bites of shrimp that made it obviously there were not out of the freezer. If they were, they certainly were of high quality. As for the main dish, I was nervous when the waiter told me that the meat would be shredded chicken instead of whole pieces of meat like I was used to. First bite, it was my new preference. So DELICIOUS!! From start to finish, Pai had it hands down. I would absolutely return here, in fact I can't waitttt!!

We had spring rolls & garlic chicken as appetizers. Everyone ordered their own main. I ordered the Beef Pad Thai with some modifications for my food allergies & preferences. The pad thai was really delicious & filling! Well, maybe because I had the appetizers too. LOL. In any case I enjoyed my food & couldn't finish it all. So I took the rest home in a small container. We didn't have any dessert because we were full! Service: I came early to make sure we didn't lose our table & was seated right away. I ordered appetizers so when everyone came they would have something to eat while the main dishes were being cooked. The main dishes actually came pretty fast after we ordered them. Our waitstaff were two different ladies & they were very nice & efficient. Ambiance: The decor is very kitschy. There were paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. And the door to the bathroom is a rustic wooden door. The tables are basic & chairs all had different colours. I don't mind the decor but it's very casual so not the best for a corporate dinner if you want something fancy. Also the music was quite loud. So it was hard to have a conversation. I like the food here & it's in a convenient spot. It's just really loud & casual. Also there isn't much space between the tables so if the restaurant is full it could feel squishy! I would come back here again to try some different dishes.

The grapfruit bitters rounded out the sweetness of the Chambord and the sourness of the lemon. We decided to order another cocktail each just as our food arrived. I had the I Have a Lychee Secret. It was a little on the sweet side, but was very yummy. I loved the black pepper on top but didn't really taste much cilantro. My husband had La Passionista which was great. It was so well-balanced and flavourful. The dumplings were AMAZING! The butterly pea infused tapioca gave the perfect bouncy, chewy texture to the outside and the mushroom and radish centres were so tasty. Our waitress explained that they should be eaten in a lettuce cup with cilantro, mint and peanuts. YUM! Such a flavour bomb. The only thing I would have changed would be to add some sort of a spicy, salty, sour dipping sauce like a nuoc cham. The green papaya fritters were also just fantastic. They were crispy, crunchy and the dipping sauce was a little spicy and sweet. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal and would 100% return. I have already reccomended them to others.

We ordered an appetizer, which came out first, but then they didn't give us the time to finish it. The main dishes came out right after, so we were rushed. Lastly, there were some items on the dinner menu we wanted to try, but they refused, only brunch items were available. Food portions were good, but could have been bigger. Ignoring all of that, the food is amazing. If you're into Thai food, this place is a must.
