Finally had the chance to check out Jatujak recently after hearing some raving reviews. First off, this place is busy! Definitely not a spot for a spontaneous dinner unless you've got a reservation. We came on a weekend and there were so many groups that were turned away. The decor is very busy too, and the whole place felt a little stuffy--almost overwhelming at times. So, if you're looking for a calm, cozy vibe, this might not be it. Parking can be a hassle since their lot is small. I'd recommend parking at the Richmond Hill Performing Arts Centre across the street (it's less than 5 minutes to walk over) if you want to avoid the stress. As for the food, I'd say it's a mixed bag. The enoki mushrooms were crispy and delicious--definitely a standout. But the Pad Thai, while flavorful, was a little wet for my liking. Plus, there were only five shrimp in the whole dish, which made it feel like you're paying for more noodle than protein. The Tom Yum soup was another letdown. It was difficult to scoop out, and the seafood tasted a bit low-quality. Not quite the punch I was hoping for given the steep price tag. The curry was pretty solid but I'd definitely skip the roti and just stick with the rice that comes with it. In my opinion, the roti was overly fried and crunchy. I guess I was expecting a more soft and chewy version. For dessert we ordered the mango sticky rice. It was good overall and very pretty. However, it was almost too sweet, and even after eating it I'm not too sure if the different coloured rice had different flavours or not. As a note, you get 10% discount for paying cash. I'm not sure if it's because we were a group of 6, but they also auto charged us gratuity at 18%. Overall, I thought the dining experience was just mediocre. It was a little uncomfortable in the restaurant and felt rushed during the meal. The food was mostly good, but nothing really stood out. Especially considering the price, it just didn't hit all my expectations.

My first time trying Jatujak and it was amazing! Better than the usual fave Thai restaurants I would go to. Their pad Thai was saucy and the green curry was delicious too. Coconut rice was also perfect amount of sugar. I think the only flag I would raise is they add spice to it so make sure to mix your food around or ask for Mild.

That was one plate of fucking respectable Pad Thai that made me wanna yell oweeee after the first bite. I was not expecting it to be this authentic since their patrons are primarily folks from Richmond Hill - Chinese/Hongkongers (hence, they always give out chopsticks, something you should NOT see from an authentic Thai restaurant lol). But damn. That was fantastic. I can't wait to be back and try their other stuff. Price wise, although It was not cheap (17.95 for the chicken pad Thai), the portion was big and satisfying. It definitely is worth the price The service was good, and the interior was a bit tacky but mostly cozy! The kitchen area (where I could peek a bit) is very clean and organized. That is always a HUGE green flag to me.

Visited this be location on Saturday Party of 2, they put us to a small table, but when I see the table next to me is 2 people and I asked why our table is so small the gentleman say "First come first serve" what kind of service is this?? Not much parking space....there Thai music was blasted so loud....the music should be a bit quiet so people can enjoy the food Strongly do not recommend this location I've been Scarborough location which service was so good but this one is the most terrible service I've ever been to

If you love Thai food, Jatujak is one my fave spots to get some. Definitely enjoy all of their dishes. If you got the Thai food craving, jatujak can help you with it

Decent for a Thai restaurant in a Canadian neighborhood, but not for anyone who's tasted the real thing in Thailand. It's fine for the locals, just not the same depth of flavor.

I found the food underwhelming for a restaurant that many people rave about. Perhaps it was the items we chose but I found everything too heavy and salty. We had the Crab Fried Rice, Pad Woon Sen and for dessert the roti with mango ice cream. The flavours were decent but nothing amazing. Even the dessert was too heavy as the roti crepes were quite greasy. I feel like I may not have tried enough of their menu items and would be happy to be back to try some other things.

Absolutely delicious Saturday dinner at Jatijak! This is my new favourite Thai place in the area. It was packed but the order arrived quickly and it was amazing! Best Tom Yum Gong soup I ever had. Red curry with shrimp was cooked to perfection. And having draft beer (we had Thai beer Singha) was an added bonus. We will certainly be back soon. Make sure you make reservations for dinner, it's a really small place and seems to be very popular.

Tried their khao soi, which had a silky, decadent soup and a beautiful display. The noodles were a perfect texture and soup was well seasoned. My friends had the pad thai and tom yum lunch specials which were such a cheap price for the massive portion size. We also shared a mango salad which had nice sour notes along with a good salty flavour. Only issue was poor service, where they didn't seem as attentive since we waited a while to be seen.

A new Thai restaurant opened so I had to check it out. Food is well portioned and delicious. I got the fried enoki mushroom appetizer and the Tom yum soup with mussels, squid and shrimp. The fried enoki was huge and a great shareable, but it was a bit too oily. The Tom yum soup was delicious and filling. Service was fast and the place looks amazing.

The restaurant is small, few tables but nicely decorated. The parking is really limited in the small plaza and the restaurant is tucked away in the corner. I can't imagine how you'd get a spot here when it's busy as the lot is shared with many other stores. I ordered a soft shell crab dish with noodles and a coconut curry broth. The crab was nicely fried and crispy though the batter was thicker than what I prefer. The broth was served in a little clay pot surrounded by noodles and some vegetables. The vegetables were sloppy. The cilantro was a bit wet and served uncut with majority of the stem- it couldn't fit in the pot. There was a side of lettuce and some salad greens that felt like it was straight from a store bought salad meal kit. Also served with an inedible decorative tomato skin- literally a tomato peel rolled to represent a flower.

Food, presentation, service, and ambiance is impeccable. Their Thai iced tea is so good. Reservations are definitely recommended but I walked in once without much of a wait. It's a small quaint spot in a plaza where parking might be busy and difficult.

The food was great. I got the rice dish and friend go the curry dish. You can adjust the spice tolerance. Service is nice and the place is also nice. Seatings can be a little cramped. I lowkey felt like i was eatting with a couple as there conversation was so close.

We were seated right away and menus provided at the same time. There was a Lunch Special menu but we decided to order full portions from the regular menu. We were able to order right away and our drinks and ice water were brought out. Our food was brought out fairly quickly, all of it being hot. Roti is a must order item! The noodles were also very tasty with the shrimp not being overcooked. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside and nice and juicy inside. Service was attentive with the servers checking on us every so often and clearing empty plates away. When we were done eating, the server packed up our leftovers for us instead of just giving us containers. You can pay by card or cash, but just be advised that they do not accept $100 bills. Parking was pretty easy to get a spot that wasn't too far from the entrance.

We were quickly seated and the service was really attentive and appreciated. At around 6-630pm the restaurant began to quickly fill with couples and families. We had the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai and the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring. We really enjoyed the fried chicken, coconut rice of the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring, and the amount of spice in the sambal onion and anchovies. The noodles in the Pad Thai had a firm texture which we liked, but for me the sauce was a bit sweet. If coming to the restaurant from 6pm on a weekend, the parking lot is very busy and you could be circling for a parking spot and having to move around vehicles that are double parked for take-out orders.

My fav restaurant for #valentinesday…read more Baked Alaska is still my fav dessert ever, that passionfruit truly elevates the taste profile. I loved the duck confit eggs Benny! It was hearty and flavorful! The eggs were very runny and I used the English muffins and delicious garlic home fries to soak it all up! I'm most pleasantly surprised that we can order from the brunch menu at dinner. I didn't try the AAA steak but I was told that this was absolutely delicious and he wished it was a bigger portion. The rice underneath is a pilaf :) Service was standard. I mean, I don't come here for the service anyway. It's a slightly upscale atmosphere here, no sweatpants please!

The music is a bit loud and reminded me of club/lounge music, not a chill jazz relaxing brunch atmosphere. Service was slow and the kitchen even slower. When the hostess sat us at our reserved table, she brought up the 90 minute seating rule. Our food didn't come out until the hour mark, so come prepared for hungry or little ones. The Korean french toast has an amazing crunch on the outside and super moist and soft brioche inside. The four slices looked big but was very easy to demolish. PB & J Hamburger was interesting! That is definitely a brunchy sounding dish and it did not disappoint. It was a delicious, messy, goopy burger with so much flavour. Burrata arugula salad with long thin strips of prosciutto was very light. The fig wedges were sweet and this dish was a great starter without being too heavy. Biscoff Latte is always a pleaser; bit of a strange glassware choice for a hot beverage as it has no handles.
