    3 layer vietnamese coffee
    Connie C.

Ever since the renovation, this was my first time returning to this location. Prices have definitely gone up and much more expensive than nearby vietnamese restaurants. Restaurant was clean and service was quick. noise level was also reasonable. We ordered the house pho, lemongrass beef rice, pandan lemonade and vietnamese coffee. The drinks were amazing and refreshing! The broth was flavourful and portion was reasonable (one size only). The lemongrass beef rice was a bit disappointing. The beef was stir fried rather than grilled. They gave a side of sesame seeds but it felt a bit unnecessary. If I return, I'm going to order the pork and chicken rice instead.

I've ordered this dish through doordash. It is quite filling and the beef is quite juicy. The order was prepared fairly quickly by the restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant and I would go in person next time to try the dining experience.

The just recently renovated and the location is much more spacious now and elegant looking. I will say the service is still really good but ordering everything all at once for a two-person table is awkward because there isn't enough room :') Be aware of that because if they're busy, you'll be SOL re: room on your table The food is still amazing but I think they don't have daily specials anymore like when their beef carpaccio was cheaper on Thursdays... Still recommend the dish though because it is amazing Their satay pho is also a big portion and has a lot of meat in it too per the video. I did want to try their ginger coffee but it was a limited winter special :C Tried their egg coffee instead which tasted like a creme brulee topping the coffee aka YUM

I would rate it an overall 3/5. Food was mediocre, service was good, and the interior was clean. The restaurant is located inside a plaza with a private parking lot. There were many parking spots available, but many potholes getting into the lot from Weldrick. We ordered the platter and the fresh rolls with shrimp. The platter was a good portion for two people, and we had a small amount of food leftover. They give only 6 pieces of small sized rice paper for wrapping and another six pieces would cost additional. For meats, there were 5 pieces of the leaf wrapped beef, 3 pieces of sugar cane shrimp, grilled pork. Realistically, you can only wrap one piece of protein in each rice paper. They also gave several pieces of lettuce which can also be used as a wrap. With that logic, I would expect at least 8, if not 10, pieces of rice paper. Rice paper isn't an expensive ingredient, and extra pieces would make the experience so much better. In terms of taste, the beef was fine but the sugar cane shrimp was incredibly subpar. We were originally planning to order the sugar cane shrimp as an appetizer but decided against it after seeing that it came with the platter. We're glad we didn't order it as an app since it would have felt like a waste of money. The shrimp fresh rolls were as expected and nothing special.

Dear Saigon is a modern vietnamese restaurant with a very photogenic atmosphere, so it's perfect for food bloggers! I started my meal with the beef pho, and I found that the broth was satisfyingly rich and flavorful. The beef could've been more tender and the serving size was average. We loved the presentation of the spring rolls and I think they were the highlight of our meal. We ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee to pair with our meal. It was rich, strong, and perfectly sweetened with condensed milk. The balance of sweetness and bitterness was spot on for our taste! The staff was friendly and periodically checked in with us to make sure we were happy with the meal. Overall, I would recommend it if you're in the area!

This place was so delicious, the pho satay exceeded my expectations. It was so flavourful, perfect amount of spice that wasn't too much! Loved the pandan latte as well, reminded me of drinking the coconut drinks as a child. We got there at the right time as the restaurant got completely packed, service was still very quick despite the busyness

We came here after reading amazing Google reviews...was surprised at the conflicting Yelp reviews. I had to see for myself! I was so pleasantly surprised to see Tom yum Noodle soup on the menu, and it was so delicious. Tasty broth with a beautiful lemongrass flavour. The family enjoyed the beef pho and the broth wasn't overly salty. The portion was small for pho, and that's what lost the fifth star. Spring rolls hit the mark also! Will come again!

Finally had a chance to try out this place. It's difficult to get a seat on weekends. Went here on a weekday night. But even then, it filled up quickly as the night progressed. Ambiance -3.75/5: it's a really small place. Although the tables are small, surprisingly, we were able to fit all of our food without having to move off the utensils, cups, etc. Food - 4.5/5: I initially wanted to get the Bún Cha Ha Noi (Hanoi Style Vermicelli with Pork Belly and Pork Meat Balls). Unfortunately, they sold out. So we got 2 House Special Pho and a Grilled Chicken Fresh Rolls. Unliked other vietnamese places, all the pho are 1 size only. It was a lot of noodles but there is still a healthy portion of toppings. Despite the raw beef in hot broth for a length of time, the beef was actually not dry. The broth was very clear. The only negative was that it was a little too salty. Surprisingly, we were really full and could barely finish our pho. The fresh rolls were great. The dipping sauce tasted really good and it's different than the other ones. They added something else to it. While the food is good, it is quite pricey compared to other pho places. Service - 3.5/5: they sat us down quickly and the service was fast initially. Despite me changing my order, my pho came out first. The other pho came out 15 minutes later. The table next to us also ordered a pho (looks similar to ours but don't actually know which one they ordered) well before us and had to ask them to follow up with their order. Overall - 4/5: I liked it and I would recommend it. I might go back to try some of their specialty items if I manage to catch them at an unbusy time. I will most likely share my order, moving forward, knowing the amount of food we get.

This place was so good, taste like great quality Vietnamese food. We went around 11:30AM and it was pretty busy with a line outside after 12. It is a smaller place so I understand. They serve complimentary tea or water. The sizes are pretty good. And the service was quick. This was my first time trying Pho and I would definitely come back. I think it's amazing as a hungover soup or when you want to warm up.

This is one of our go to places when we are craving pho. All their pho comes in 1 size, which is pretty much a large. The broth is flavourful and they are very generous with the toppings and meat. The meat quality was great (very tender), and grilled nicely for the vermicelli. Also loved their spring rolls and fish sauce. Highly recommend both dishes! Service was very friendly and quick.

DEAR SAIGON . . We went to visit Dear Saigon Richmond Hill for the first time this past weekend for their customer appreciation event. They had a buy 1 get 1 50% off promo from September 2nd-4th. . . Fresh shrimp rolls 3.75/5 Rare Beef and Tendon Pho 4.2/5 Rare Beef and Beef Balls Pho 4.2/5 Vietnamese Coffee 4/5 . . The pho broth was actually really flavourful! Portions were also not bad. Fresh shrimp rolls were yummy, but kind of pricey. The viet coffee was my favourite thing of the meal. Great coffee to milk ratio. Overall it was a good but not outstanding meal. The air conditioning was also lacking.

The same location as the "little Saigon" before, beside T&T, food quality is good, we ordered house special beef noodle, satay beef noodle, grilled pork and chicken with rice, are all tasty. Pork tasted better than chicken in my opinion. The service was good and fast, no complaints. Only thing is that I wish they would have more dishes on the menu , such as mango salad, fried squid, curry dishes etc as other Places

    Nice presentation, delicious food.

It's been a while since I have been to this place. Another review states a change in management and I see a difference. It's still pretty great though. Clean, fast service. My vermicelli bowl was one of the nicest presentations that I have seen of this. It tasted great too. (I took off one star for asking only me if I needed a fork).

Recently came back w/ my parents as this has now become one of their de facto go-to's for viet food in Richmond Hill along w/ Ngon Corner (replacing Green Lemongrass). They are SOOO busy now as they have a loyal student customer base during the school months (conveniently being right next to Bayview Secondary). They run student deals as well as lunch specials. On this visit, I opted for curry beef brisket rice as my mom told me that she tried it w/ my dad and they vouched for it. The curry was quite flavourful and there were a LOT of big brisket chunks running through the curry so I was pleasantly surprised. Got an additional iced lemon tea for no extra charge which was so awesome! The staff recognize my parents now because they've been going quite regularly lately lol. It's flavourful, both fatty and lean, tender, juicy... basically perfect for the grill. There's an option to add an egg, which I skipped. The dish comes with a small salad drizzled in balsamic vinegar, plus some pickled daikon radish and carrots. A small dish of sweet and tangy fish sauce is included too, perfect for pouring over the rice. Fantastic flavors all around. I cleared the plate and would definitely order it again, though they have a lot of other dishes I want to try too. They're currently running a promo where you get a free drink with any order! Not advertised anywhere (from what I saw), they just casually mentioned it after we ordered. The iced lemon tea was refreshing, with sliced lemons on top, and served in a large cup, which I highly appreciate. Not one of those tiny takeout ones that's gone in a few sips. Service is very friendly. Lots of free parking. Just a heads up, they only accept debit or cash.

Tips: - This place takes debit and cash only…read more - The hot tea is scorching hot. A couple of Wednesdays ago, after work, I had an early dinner at this Pho Anh Vu on Highway 7 in Vaughan, between Keele and Jane streets. I have passed by this eatery a number of times since it opened. It was time to check it out. This location used to be Veg Italiano. There used to be a pho place a few doors down. It is now a Turkish eatery. This small plaza does have some turnover. However, the Turkish place and this eatery have been here for at least a couple of years. I hope they remain. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into a vacant one and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a male staffer. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down. When my tea was finally at a temperature that wouldn't scorch my tongue, it was fragrant and yummy. I loved the grilled chicken. It was flavourful and grilled to perfection. The vermicelli was generous and yummy. The spring rolls were stuffed and crispy. This dish came with dipping sauce that I ended up pouring on everything. I feel that I needed more of it. I paid at the counter with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This eatery got busy after 4 pm. My guess is that everyone came to watch the Canada-Switzerland FIFA game. It got tense in the place. Eventually, Canada lost this game. I used the washroom before I left. It was beautiful and clean. It's a decent location that serves good food. The tea was too hot. Service started off slow, but was a lot better once my order was place. I'd love to return to try more items off the menu. (280)

The biggest problem is the inconsistent quality--some dishes are excellent, while others are rather ordinary, even making you feel like "something else tastes better."
