Went for brunch and really impressed by the food. Everything was delicious and flavours were great. We got the lobster roll which had three rolls and were substantively filled. Lobster tasted great and bun was good. Really liked this dish. Then we tried the scallop risotto which I have to say is super rich so need to share this dish. The risotto was good and I liked the flavours but scallop was chewy and overcooked. The biscoff pancake came with three pancakes, plenty of biscoff cream, side of berries and a mountain of whipped cream. It was pretty good, too sweet for my liking but worth a try. We also ordered the GK Burger which came with fries. The burger has a nice Smokey flavour and was very tasty but was too pink in the centre for my liking. Ask for well done if you prefer it that way. Fries were crispy and good. For dessert we got the baked Alaska which is enough for two to share I think. It's a nice balance of sweet and tart. Drinks were tasty as well. Iced latte, matcha coconut, sparkling lemonade, and sangria all were great. Also get the scones if you like scones because theirs are a solid 5/5! Ordered: 1. lamb skewer again (as I had yummy experience on first visit). sadly, this time it was not good. meat is bit tough...meat size is SOOO small.. sauce is still unique and good as usual (the highlight). 2. shakshuka. it came with baguette 'cracker' and 2 lamb skewers. it's very sour. we asked for extra cracker ($2 for 3) and it took a while to arrive. my friend who has high tolerance of eating sour (i.e. home country food use lots of lemon and yogurt) cannot even tolerate the sourness/acid. Has stomacache within an hour after we left. 3. lobster linguine. generous lobster . taste wise is nth special. 4. coffee latte (dont know the name). the best item. Total $115. ****raising my eyebrows, considering the food is all meh*** What's mind blowing is the price (not the food). Price and taste ratio - it is not worthed. What a delightful, innovative brunch spot. Another restaurant by Chef Keith Pears that showcases his unique fusion talents. Spacious dining room that takes reservations. Definitely get one as the line ups can be long. Service was very friendly and accommodating when we had to send a drink back. We had the following: Jakarta lamb skewers: nice and flavourful. This place a quite the buzz when it started and so I wanted to come try. Menu items were on the pricey side, but the decor and service reflect this. Inside the decor feels modern and ties well to the term glass. Jakarta Skewers - Lamb skewers with nuts and dashed with peanut sauce and red cabbage puree. Interesting concept, but lamb themselves was under seasoned. It relies on sauce to add flavour, but definitely not enough sauce for the amount of skewers. Nice to try, but wouldn't get again. Made a lunch renovation for 6 people on a Sunday for 12pm. The restaurant was very busy and we still had to wait about 20-25 minutes before getting seated. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and the staff were very attentive and pleasant. We ordered the following: Smoothie Bowl - Açai with banana, strawberries, passion fruit gel, coconut flakes and granola - very tasty, a little too tart for me but overall very fresh and delicious. 8/10 Jakarta lamb skewers - peanut sauce, almond crust, kombucha red cabbage purèe and pickled jalapeño - tasty but only had 3 small skewers, was a little expensive for what you get. 7.5/10 Ube Pancakes - served with Ube sauce, blueberries and vanilla chantilly - really really good pancakes, this was one of my faves. 9/10 Biscoff Pancakes - same as the Ube pancakes but served with Cookie spread and cookie crumble, really good as well but I would give the edge to the Ube. 8.5/10 Fried chicken and waffles - honey butter fried chicken with sesame waffles with soy scallion and chili maple - really delicious Asian-style take on chicken and waffles. 8.5/10 Citrus espresso fizz - citrus infused espresso drink - felt a little weird at first but was alright after you get used to it but tasted like a citrus carbonated coffee. 7/10 The OG - beef patty, sunny side egg, mushroom gravy and seasonal veggies, this was very delicious and portion size was very good. Tried a few items here and overall really enjoyed the experience. We had the beef and cheese sandwich with tater tots and gravy. The tots were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and light inside. The gravy had a slight kick and paired nicely with the tender beef and soft bun. Lots of cheese too! The restaurant is packed and you're seated very closely to the table beside you. I wish there was a bit more space between the tables. I ordered the chicken and waffles - it was decent. My friend took me here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. We showed up a little early, so that we can get away from the very hot weather. A friendly lady greeted and checked our reservation time, then took us to our seat towards the back. The decor was beautiful and had touches of fun- from lighting to the furnitures, it was funky and fun and I loved it. Our waiter arrived soon after and warmly greeted us. Then he brought us the menu and left the table to get some water. As there were so many items on the menu, it took some time for us to decide. Finally, my friend ordered Fried Chicken and Waffles and I ordered Crab Bennies. Plus we ordered one drink to share. Once our orders arrived, we could not wait to eat! We enjoyed our meal, the bennies were cooked just right and there was just the right amount of sauce. The cubed potatoes were crispy and lightly salty, plus the fresh fruits helped to cleanse my palate. My friend also enjoyed her meal- she shared that the chicken pieces were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inisde. Also, the waffles were soft and had cool dark colour! She liked that the sauce came on the side (so that she can customize it to put on a lot or only a little bit). Our drink was refreshing and added a nice caffeine kick to our meal. If you're on the hunt for a standout brunch experience in the GTA, Glass Kitchen in Markham is a must visit right now! We had to wait to get in because it was so busy, but the wait was absolutely worth it. The interior is beautifully designed, and the service is warm and friendly. We tried their iced matcha strawberry latte, which was super refreshing with the perfect balance of matcha and strawberry. For food, we ordered the Biscoff pancakes and trust me when I say they were delicious! The Biscoff sauce over the soft, fluffy pancakes was just perfection. The presentation made it even more appealing. We also had the short rib Benedict. Went online and made a reservation for lunch for 2 on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Our server, Mabel, was fantastic and attentive without putting any pressure. Started the table off with some water. Since my friend was late, I ordered an Ube Latte. It was yummy!! Not too sweet with that iconic ube flavour. I learned that they crush the ube in-house (no wonder the ube came through in the latte!) I then ordered freshly baked scones with cranberries (not a fan of cranberries, but the amount was tolerable). The scones were actually so good - warm with just a hint of sweetness. It came with a maple ube whipped butter and fresh fruits. A good starter! My friend did end up arriving and we placed our orders (her - a latte and a short rib eggs benedict; me - char siu grilled pork belly). My dish was beyond delicious! My friend's looked equally tantalizing. Neither of us were able to finish our dishes. But there was still room for dessert - a raspberry lychee baked Alaska. Yummy ! Highly recommend this place. Parking is a beast if you don't get there early to park above ground - you will be going in circles trying to find a spot BUT there is underground parking! When you walk in you are greeted by a host, the restaurant is quite spacious but all tables are very close to each other. I've only had their breakfast menu for dine in but I highly recommend checking them out for dinner! standouts were definitely chicken and waffles, lobster rolls, lamb skewers, bennies. I decided to try The Glass Kitchen last month since I was in the area. The restaurant decor was quite nice especially the floor to ceiling windows which provided a lot of natural light. The presentation of the food also did not disappoint, as every dish was beautifully plated. However, while the visual appeal was on point, the flavor didn't quite match up. The food itself was decent but lacked that "wow" factor that would have made the experience more memorable for me. For drinks, I had the KP cold pressed juice, which was refreshing and tasty. Jakarta Lamb Skewers: Definitely the standout. The lamb was tender, and the coating added a delicate crunch to the skewers. The sauces were very interesting. The peanut sauce was nice, but tasted a bit too strongly of fish sauce. The red cabbage emulsion was very earthy with a hint of sweetness. The OG: A take on a locomoco. The patty was rich and meaty, unfortunately the mushroom gravy was runny. But the star of the show was the yuzu cucumbers, which really freshened up the dish. Shakshuka: Standard, well-made shakshuka. Not much to say here. I appreciated the spicy sausage. The bread was similarly excellent. Ube Pancakes: Beyond the spectacle of pouring the ube syrup on the pancakes, this dish was a real treat! The pancakes were buttery and fluffy, and the ube syrup was the right balance of ube flavor and sweetness. Glass Kitchen is located in the Commerce Gate plaza on Highway 7 just West of Leslie Street. If you go during prime dining hours, the parking lot can get quite busy making it difficult to find parking. There is an underground parking lot that is available if you can't find above ground parking or just prefer to park indoors though the staircase/elevators take you to the middle of the plaza which requires a short walk to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is very modern & beautiful. The lighting is perfect & they do have dimmable lamps on each table for you to control how bright you want your table to be. We ordered the yuca fries, Jakarta lamb skewers, burrata and beets salad & the Korean short rib poutine to start. We initially order two orders of the yuca fries however changed it to the poutine quite quickly (our server was easily accessible) and without any issues. She was also really great at pointing out how many lamb skewers, etc. each order has so that we would be able to make an informed decision on how many to order. Everyone enjoyed all the appetizers! My favorite was the poutine. They use tater tots instead of french fries. It was loaded with beef, cheese and gravy. Very delicious! Even though I have read other reviews that hype up the lamb skewers, I found this to be just okay. The yuca fries were yummy. Nice & crispy! For our mains, 3 of us got the GK burger. They didn't really comment on it so not sure how enjoyable it was though 2 of them did finish everything on their plate. My friend who is Korean ended up getting the Korean Galbi Short Rib crazy wavy gravy. She didn't really enjoy it but should of known better. I would never order Chinese food in an Italian restaurant haha. One of us girls ordered the shrimp & grits. She didn't finish all the grits as it is quite heavy especially with all the bisque (she said it was like a lobster bisque). For myself, I ordered the Hokkaido Scallop risotto. The risotto is done with butternut squash. I could taste the squash and it was pleasant. I can't really speak for the risotto cook itself since I rarely have risotto so I can't tell a good one from a bad one. The scallops were a decent size (4 in total) and the cook on it was nice. We made reservations in the earliest we can get in there was 1:45 PM. However we arrived in the area around 130 and we were able to get seated. When we walked in we were greeted from a very nice hostess. Very beautiful environment, sophisticated decorations, and the staff were all very informative and pleasant. Presentation of the food was perfect and the flavour pallets worked together. I got the seafood scramble and I shared it. We ran out of bread and they were ordered some and brought it promptly to the table which I thought was amazing cheeseburger empanadas made to order, and I love that they took the time to explain the best way to consume. I'll admit, I went into this place expecting not to like it. Brunch, in general, isn't my thing--I've always thought it's overrated. The idea of waiting forever for overpriced, mediocre breakfast food just doesn't appeal to me like it seems to for everyone else. The hosts, to their credit, were gracious, regularly thanking everyone for their patience and acknowledging the long wait. Once we got inside, I was a bit confused--there were 5-6 empty tables, and it didn't seem like a lot of people were leaving all at once. Not sure why the wait dragged on so long. The interior is as cute and Instagrammable as they come, so anyone looking for aesthetic vibes will be happy. Our server, however, wasn't quite as warm as the hosts. We had to flag him down a few times, which was a bit frustrating. While I don't need constant check-ins, some level of attentiveness would have been nice. Now, onto the food. We tried the Biscoff pancakes, the OG Crazy Wavy (their take on a loco moco), and the seafood scramble. The pancakes were the highlight--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not too sweet or heavy, which I appreciated. The OG Crazy Wavy was also good--unique enough to stand out from standard brunch fare and full of flavor. The seafood scramble, though, was the weakest of the bunch. It wasn't bad, just not very exciting--if you're into eggs and bread, it'll work for you. We also had a few non-alcoholic drinks. They were fine but could've been much better with fresh juice. On the bright side, they arrived quickly. Prices were typical for brunch, and portions were decent. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised. Aesthetic place, but in terms of food it's very mid. I decided to go back a 2nd time to give it another shot, but was disappointed. The 1st time I went for dinner. We got the skewers (soso), the scallop risotto (ok), lobster pasta (pretty good) and the baked Alaska (it's very sweet, but with the passionate fruit's tanginess it really ties the dessert together, I enjoyed it). We paid about $60 per person - my friend and I didn't think it was worth it. Not bad, but we'd rather spend the $60 elsewhere. The 2nd time I went for brunch with my boyfriend. We got the fried chicken with the black sesame waffles. The fried chicken was done well, but the waffles didn't add to the dish. The chicken overpowered it. I've had fried chicken and waffles at other cafes and found it much better. What makes this dish a bit different from other places is that they use black sesame egg waffles instead of your typical waffles and the fried chicken has a bit of spice. The Shakshouka tastes very homey. Nothing special about it. The Lotus Biscoff Latte was decent. The coffee is more prominent and has a slight taste of Lotus Biscoff. You can taste a decent amount in there, but if you like a stronger Lotus Biscoff taste, then this isn't for you. It really depends on your preference. I've had this drink at a different cafe and preferred it there more. I can make a good coffee on my own, so when I'm going out I'd rather pay for a stronger Lotus Biscoff flavour since that's not something I'd make at home. Also, both times I've been here it was really loud and hard to hold a conversation because we couldn't hear each other. So even though it has a cute interior for a date, it'll be hard to talk. read more

I have came here for brunch for the third time in August. It's such a pretty spot to take family and friends. I recommend making a reservation as it can get busy. I have tired a handful of their items. My favourite is their ube pancake, shrimp grits, and chicken and waffle. All three of these have such unique flavours and pairings. Nothing like anything I have had before! The dishes are presented so pretty and the restaurant overall gives such a great impression. Service can be a little slow during busy hours, and there's a siting limit of 1.5 hour. read more

Came here for dinner on a weekend. Best to get a reservation in if you're planning to come around the usual dinner time of 7-7:30pm. We knew that the restaurant would be busy so we came early at 6:15pm and were able to grab a table without having reservations. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very nicely decorated in a modern style, like a resto you'd expect from DT Toronto. We ordered the hamburger empanada, fried chicken with cavier and the chicken cordon bleu. While the fried chicken was delicious, the cavier doesnt do anything for the dish as it's overpowered by the fried chicken. Better to order the normal fried chicken and save your money. The cordon bleu was fantastic. Came with a nice potato puree and refreshing pickled salad. The chicken was super tender and well seasoned. The hamburger empanada was nothing special, would have liked a traditional empanada better. Overall a good experience and would come back to try their brunch menu. read more
