Wonderful cafe/lounge, it's a bit hard to find as it's not on the ground floor. You'd have to go upstairs of Times Square the stairs next Remax would be the one. The south west corner building of Times Square is what you're looking for. This is a great place that offers lunch/brunch options and then at night it transforms into a lounge. They have plenty of board games that you can use free of charge during brunch and during the evening lounge time. Food was delicious, fresh, and looks great. I would definitely return!

Located on the second floor at Times Square, the space shares the same main entrance as where Dahu used to be. Go up the escalator and turn right. There is an elevator for accessibility. The business model is lounge at night where you can enjoy music , drinks and small bites and during the day they serve an Asian fusion style breakfast/brunch. Tables are mainly 'c - shaped' booths and some small tables in the middle. Very spacious. At 1:30 there was still a decent crowd. Ordering is via QR code. Lots of eggs benny, omelettes, breakfast poutines and breakfast plates. There is a 1-4 pm menu that includes items such as HK deep fried chicken leg with fries and bulgogi fries. Menu is very much bar food style. Lots of deep fried. What was ordered: Spinach and egg omelette Breakfast plate - toast, egg, sausage and fruit Bulgogi poutine Feedback: Breakfast poutine was not hot enough. But the time it made it to the table it was lukewarm. Might have been made first and sat under the heating lamp too long? The breakfast plate gives you a choice of sausage, peameal ham, spam and one other choice. You also get a choice of fruit or salad. Sausage is your standard grocery store sausage but you still get 4. It's the fruit that was sad. It almost looked like garnish, 3 pieces of thinly sliced pineapple, small bunch of grapes and 2 thin slices of orange. Service was decent, there was a conscientious effort to check on all the tables.

There's a lot of seating available and they do take reservations. I felt like the menu was a bit small, but when did have different foods compared to your typical breakfast spot. It was a quiet time when we went, I did enjoy the glassware they used for the drinks. I would like to come by dinner time to see how that is in comparison

This place is located in front of Dahu Hotpot. This place has booth seats with beer pong table, Nintendo switch to play on the big screen. Dark with lights. Usually packed on the weekend. The waitresses were prompt and attentive with anything we needed. The owner Brian was there today who also provided the Nintendo switch for our group which is a HUGE plus to go out of his way to do for us! The salmon risotto was EXCELLENT! Omg I was absolutely impressed because the salmon was cooked JUST right. It was perfect. Risotto was very good as well. Definitely something you cannot pass up on. The fries bulgogi is a little overcooked but still has that nice crunch and very balanced seasoning. The ube toast was also quite delicious as well. I will surely come back here again!

Crème brûlée cream sandwich and hot HK milk tea

I came on a Saturday afternoon, so we experienced more of the café than the lounge vibes. A extensive brunch menu with the usual options, however, I was attracted to the dessert more than the savoury options. I had the crème brûlée cream sandwich and the hot Hong Kong milk tea. I've never had this type of sandwich before, so I was impressed by the presentation. The top was nicely brûléed and provided a next textural contrast to the soft cream inside. It went well with the milk tea, which balance the sweetness. Nice place to sit and chat, as many tables were enjoying a leisurely meal.

Classic breakfast

Matcha Latte - had no matcha taste. Tasted of milk Smore latte - had no espresso taste. No marshmallow taste other than the physical marshmallows Classic eggs benny - hollandaise sauce lacked enough flavor. Home fries were soft and mushy not crispy Classic breakfast - sunny side eggs were over cooked. Yokes were solid. The fruit salad was 1 small strawberry and 5 grapes with 2 slices of orange. Service this time was good. Previous visit the server was very rude and judgmental. Was a little hard to grab their attention foe the bill. Resturant was very clean. Not too loud music. Projectors on the wall to help with the mood. They seemed to have a photo area but there were kids running around in there so we didnt have a chance to go take a closer look. Everything is quite expensive for the portion. Left still hungry after spending close to $30 per person.

I kinda got lost trying to look for this place went up times square thinking its there but when i realized that its unit 200 something im like okay must be somewhere on the 2nd floor. Took the escalator up and didnt see anything... i knew there were restaurants after you cross that bridge so i took my chances n there it was!!! I feel like omg at last i found it. Went it n i was like uhh ok this place looks interesting..,. You have booths all around the whole restaurant and thats pretty much it... We ordered the special ice milk tea, garlic parm wings and bulgogi poutine. The food was surprisingly delicious!! I would definitely come back to try their brunch menu The milk tea was just soo cute but a little pricey $6.99....

Finally tried this place after all the hype I've heard. We didn't have a reservation but we went when it just opened not so long ago so we could sit anywhere. There was only 1 other table when we got there and maybe a few more tables as we were leaving. Ambiance - the place was dim but had some nice decor. The cherry blossom picture is actually projected on a monitor. Service - it was initially quick. She even poured us the water and explained how to order and what was available. She checked on us periodically but at the end, we had to flag her down for the bill Food - ordered the breakfast combo and an iced tea. The breakfast was a large portion and filling. However, the bacon was burnt. The iced tea is standard. Overall - 3/5, maybe I'll come back with friends for brunch and try other things on the menu.

This is a new Chinese Cafe and Lounge. They focus on Chinese lounge/street food, dessert, hot/cold drinks, alcoholic drinks, and cocktails. The vibe is dark inside like a bar-lounge, and it has modern decorations. They plan to have various game nights, too. It was recently soft-opened on 2024-12-16. We went there on 2024-12-22. They have a Cafe Menu (afternoons) and Lounge Menu (evenings). During the soft opening, we were allowed to order from both. Luckily, there were a group of us (we shared most dishes). We were happy that there was a two-month period where the government decided there would be no food/drink taxes charged, so we saved on the 13% taxes. Yes, we stayed there for a very long time! There were lots of leftovers to take home. You order items from their online menu via a QR code. We found prices slightly higher than average. During the soft-opening period, for a limited time, all evening food items are 20% off! And you will receive a special gift if you ask the server about it. We ordered the following from the Cafe Menu: 1. Iced HK Style Yin Leong ($5.45). 2. Iced Smores Latte ($8.49). 3. Hot Matcha Latte ($7.49). 4. Iced HK Milk Tea ($6.99). 5. Hot Peppermint Mocha ($7.49). 6. Matcha Sando ($8.99). 7. Black Sasame Crepe Cake ($11.95). 8. Peach Mousse Cake ($7.45). 9. Mango Mousse Cake ($7.45). We ordered the following from the Lounge Menu: 1. Beef Skewers ($7.99). 2. Lamb Skewers ($7.99). 3. Pork Belly Skewers ($6.99). 4. Curry Beef Balls ($10.99). 5. HK Fried Chicken Leg ($10.99). 6. Bulgogi Fries ($10.99). 7. Cucumber Salad ($5.99). 8. 6 Share Plate ($31.99). 9. Fried Instant Noodles + Beef ($9.99). 10. Clams ($10.50). 11. Chicken Karaage ($9.99). 12. Haku Essense Cocktail Tower ($59.99). 13. Tokyo Drift ($15.99). 14. Sake Bomb ($8.99). All the drinks and food from the Cafe Menu looked beautiful and tasted great. The food from the Lounge Menu allowed us to give a big dinner. It didn't disappoint! They were all very delicious. We ate most of it. The Cocktail Tower was huge, bigger than expected! There was a tap at the bottom to pour our the cocktail. It had 9oz of liquor in it, but it didn't take very alcoholic. We only finished about 40% of it; too bad we are not allowed to take home the alcohol due to the law. The Sake Bomb was quite interesting. A staff member would strike a handheld gong several times while encouraging a person to drink the sake, which is in a small shot glass, held above a glass cup with two chopsticks. The drinker would bang on the table, making the chopsticks vibrate until the shot glass falls into the glass cup, which has Sapporo in it! Then you would drink the entire mixture in one go. Quite loud and entertaining for the entire restaurant! The customer service was very good. The food came out much faster than expected; though when we went, there were not many customers. Despite going there about a week after the restaurant-lounge opened, the food and service were good. There were no disappointments. There is plenty of table seating. Each table has a dice game called Liars Dice. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom. This is free parking in the mall's parking lot. Review 2025-001

This Chinese cafe and lounge has recently opened up in Richmond Hill a d has become very popular. They offer cafe menu during the day and transform into a lively bar and lounge by night. They offer Hong Kong- inspired menu and exciting experiences like "Sake Bomb". We had so much fun trying their street food like "Meat Skewers", "Clams", "Chicken Karaage", "Bulgogi Fries", "Hong Kong Fried Chicken Legs". Their Cocktail towers are a must-try for group outings. Their cafe menu is very attractive, too. Hong Kong Milk Tea and Latte with the lion decoration is very versatile. They serve hot beverages in beautiful and colorful Chinese cups that make them very special. Their desserts and Crepe Cakes are very refreshing. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

Brunch time with my friend at Sugar Cafe & Lounge (Daytime)! Food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were amazing too! That dragon ice cube was so adorable ^^ Servers were also friendly and very accommodating. Thank you for such a great experience! We will definitely be back again! I saw this on instagram and Facebook reels and it intrigued me. Finally had a chance to try it out. It is in the same bulding as Dahu hotpot at Times Square. I think this place used to be a Japanese restaurant? It's a cafe in the morning (10-4:30pm) and then a lounge (7pm - closing). Ambiance - 4/5: plenty of spots but the seats are definitely tight. Got some cute decor. They have bathrooms in the restaurant. All 3 can be used by any gender. They do have an accessibility bathroom but it is out of order today. Service - 4/5: we got seated very quickly. We didn'y have a reservation but because we went so close to opening time, it didn't matter. We were the 2nd group to be there. Our server is really nice. She poured water out for us and explained the hours and recommended the pork belly eggs benedict (we didn't get it). She checked on is a few times. Food - 3.5/4: the food was made fresh to order so the food was piping hot. It took awile though. We ordered the miso glazed salmon with a seafood mushroom risotto ($35) and iced HK milk tea ($6.99). The miso glazed salmon with seafood mushroom risotto - salmon was seasoned, slightly too salty for me. The risotto - it doesn't look like they used arborio rice, should be another short grain rice. I was missing that creamy texture. Instead of creamy, it was more like wet al dente rice. For the portion size and the quality, I don't think it is worth the $35. The iced hk milk tea was good, looked much better than the picture on their menu. It came out with a lion. I didn't know what to do with it but it was cute! I asked the server when the entree came out. Apparently it's ice made out of iced tea. The lion goes into the drink. Overall - 3.75/5: I'll come back with friends as a brunch spot but I won't order the salmon risotto again. My partner ordered a classic breakfast which was half the price for a lot more food.

5/5 across the board for this lil gem of a bar. If you want a fun time with friends or family, sugar cafe lounge is the perfect place to have lunch/dinner/drinks. Came here on a Friday night and was pleasantly greeted by the friendly staff. Has a table for about 6 people reserved. QR code for menu and ordering, that goes straight through to the kitchen or bar side. They are well known for their cocktails, beer towers or bottle service, as per your preference. Was able to try 3 cocktail towers and a beer tower. All amazing, flavourful and just the right amount of sweet (ps. The alcohol is so hidden it tastes like juice). I recommended the blue cocktail and the melon flavoured cocktail. Food- they have a variety of snacky food/food to share. Their fries are super yummy and crispy, lamb and beef skewers were bomb, and clams, and bulgogi fries were recommended as well. Loved everything! We ended up staying there from about 8pm-2am. During the weekends they have featured DJs. There's beer pong and large jenga to play in an open area (great way to socialize with others as you please). A very welcoming, fun and open environment to spend with friends :) they also have table board games/social card games and dice. So whether or not you want to stay at your table or socialize it's up to you! Overall would definitely come back. During the week they have various game night events/social events. Check it out!!

The service was excellent and the waitress went out of her way to serve us. She took lovely pictures for us and even cleaned my camera lens as it was probably dirty. She even got us water and left it on our table when we were on the dancefloor. The manager and supervisor came around and checked on us a few times. In fact all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The DJ played some great music and we had a fun girls night out. We are already planning to come for another girl's night out before Christmas!! There were a team of dedicated servers helping our table. The server was knowledgeable with the wine list and provided her recommendations for white wine. I ended up ordering the Kim Crawford Sauvignon blanc. It was dry white wine with some fruity notes. I'm not a big wine drinker but I really enjoyed it. We had a set menu which included a small appetizer soup or caesar salad. I ordered the coconut chicken soup and it was a delight. The soup was definitely Thai influenced and the bamboo shoots, chicken and coconut was a perfect medley of ingredients. It was almost like a green curry. We also ordered beef nachos, crispy calamari and goat cheese and bread dip. All the appetizers were pretty good no complaints here. I ordered the Chipotle mango chicken based on my positive experience before. I must say the dish was really good but the one I had in Moxies Pickering was outstanding. The chicken lacked the deep grill charred marks and was not piping hot. Usually the plates are really hot when they are brought out. The plate was only warm to the touch. The bite of white chocolate brownie was decadent and was great finale for our meal. I ordered a cappuccino to cap off the meal. One critique would be the lack of refilling the waters on our table. The restaurant definitely had an attractive crowd and people were happy and enjoying their drinks and food. It was a little bit difficult to talk inside as the sound insulation in the patio was poor. Overall, the service was pretty attentive and friendly. I would recommend making a reservation if you are coming in a large group. Thank you Moxies for great evening.
