I have been here plenty of times to play pool. It's between this place or Le Cue which is right next door. Master Q is big and spacious with plenty of billiards and snooker tables for you. There is also an area to play darts, a bar, and some seats to lounge. They serve food, snacks, and drinks. Upon arrival, you go to the front desk and give them your ID so they can swap and give you your billiard balls. Because it's COVID, they now give you the cues instead of you picking your own. Note: they also charge a $1 COVID Cleaning Fee to your bill now. Tables are clean, cues are decent, and the place is kept tidy. Definitely a nicer pool hall to play at compared to others. My receipt said $16/per hour for PM charge, plus day pass $3, plus the COVID fee $1, total was $20. If you're a member, you wouldn't have to pay the extra $3 for the day pass. I don't see any prices listed anywhere, so I'm not sure what the other prices are, but I probably paid a weekend night price. Pretty sure other places are a bit cheaper than here, but if you're looking for a well maintained pool hall, then you can pay a few more bucks for this spot. read more

I always have a great time here they have deals for everyday of the week, I always order my tequila shots and crush it in pool I never actually ordered anything off the menu so I cant judge their food all I know is their tequila taste good loool there prices are really good here and the atmosphere I would recommend stopping in Master Q for some fun. I am quite embarrassed to write this review because this means I've been here before. I used to hang out here in high school all the time, thinking I was 'cool' and having fun 'after hours', getting my older friends to buy me beer that I could barely drink. The last time I went back was when I was freshly 19, proudly showing the guy my ID before ordering my seriously overpriced Smirnoff cooler. (to be honest, I don't think he even cared much). I can barely play snooker, so honestly I just watched my friends do it while I hung on the side. The place is like any usual dingy hangout, it's not horrible but it's not somewhere I'd like to be for fun. A good thing is that it closes late, and the rates to play are lower than most billiard places. There's also a dimly lit lounge area where my friend and I sat most of the night.. it was so dim that we weren't sure if it was closed, but the staff didn't seem to bat an eye so it didn't matter anyway. I don't remember any staff ever coming up to us or coming around to see if we needed service.. every time we ordered a drink, we would have to wander up to the bar ourselves. my go to pool place!! this place is pretty good and has good music playing. the wait time is no tmr when you go in the afternoon but once it hits at night this place is packed and you'll probably be put on the wait list for around 15 minutes but they have a lot of lounge chairs to sit on. there is also wifi here and it's fast which is great . the prices I've noticed are more expensive on weekends and at night but there is no pricing list so not sure how it is listed . on average I've spent $13 an hour on afternoons and weekdays and $18 an hour at night and weekends. compared to other pool places the price is average. the workers are pretty nice as all you have to do is give them a piece of ID to start playing. if you are a member it will be $3 cheaper . the tables are clean and brightly lit but if two different players from different tables are at the end of each table, you will have to wait because there isn't enough space for both people to hit which is the only downside. overall i would recommend this place to others. basic pool place read more

4.5/5. Master Q located off Hwy 7 on Woodbine is a really good spot for anyone wanting to actually play pool. I say this because if you're looking for more of a party vibe, go to Le Cue. I personally go to pool halls to play pool and Master Q has better felt, cues, even balls. The only negative thing about this place is the ambience which is fairly dull and it can seem a little sketchy/ghetto but once you're there for a while it's just a regular pool hall. Master Q is huge with (I forget the exact number) a bunch of pool tables and also have 8-10 snooker tables. The felt is really good and all their cues are clean and in good shape. It's also nice to see you get clean shiny balls when you get your table. Another downside is it's a tad more expensive then LeCue/Mix2 but nothing crazy. If you're looking for a good place to shoot pool then I'd recommend this spot. I can't speak on the service because I never order anything but I can say that we weren't approached if we'd like any drinks/food. Still 4.5 stars for the tables though. read more

After being in a pool phase, we've gone to both Master Q and Le Cue a couple of times each and I vastly prefer one over the other. Master Q is definitely bigger and has more features such as snooker and more tables. My main issue with this place is that it's grungy and it feels like at any time a spontaneous fight can start. Kidding of course, but it definitely has a more "underground" vibe. If feels sketchy and the service is to be desired. It is meh and we've never had any drinks or food here because of the atmosphere. Another problem that I have is that the space gets cramped when it's busy. Many times we've had to wait for a guy to finish his shot before we could continue with our game. Meh. I give this place a 2.5/5. Although it does have some pros, I think the cons outweigh it and I prefer other pool places other than this one. read more

Used to come here pretty often because they have the dart machines. You pay $3 for 3 darts (which you get back when you return the darts), and you pay with coins in the machine per game. My friend and I were in the middle of a game when the entire machine decided to shut down and restart. We asked for a refund for that game since we weren't able to finish it and the employee there was incredibly rude. He told us the machine was not part of Master Q and they were managed by the dart machine company. He said it rarely ever happens and I said if so then $2 shouldn't matter but he just scoffed at me. read more

WTH is snooker? OK, so master Q is a snooker hall...i'm still confused about snooker..... They give you a pool table that is bigger than the regular table, then you have to hit the regular pool balls, then you have to his the red balls... OMG CONFUSED! Quality & Price: I went on a weekday afternoon/evening and the place was fairly quiet. The table charge was $18 and if you are not a member an additional $3 on top. So around $11 per person for the whole day. We ordered two Heinekens which cost $5.25 a bottle. Decently priced but their kitchen was closed until 9pm. Facility: A lower quality billiards place, definitely not fancy, but not as run down as other reviews have mentioned. It is quite dark and dimly lit as most billiard locations are. No weird smells or anything, ambiance is appropriate and it was generally quiet (because there were not many people). Radio music is in the background. Service: Barely any at all. I had to go look for people when I had questions or wanted to order something. This was probably because there were not many people in the place, but I would have liked to have a bar menu or something to munch on while I played. Overall: I good place to go and hang out if you are in the area. Price is good, but the service is sub-par. There is no food (not even bar food) during the day. There is some potential here but do not expect anything spectacular. read more

This a tiny place that could use some significant help with their customer service. The staff were uncoordinated and they kept to themselves even when directly approached. The drinks were over priced and the beer tasted stall even though it was bottled (likely old beer.) They had one beer on tap which was moosehead. So drink selection could be better. This place might have been nice when it first opened, but the inside is a dump. The Snooker tables look very nice, I was playing at the pool tables. Why is it a dump. The carpet looks like it has never been vacuumed, the washroom was dirty, and the furniture was falling apart. Also there were marks all over the walls. We did get food which I did kind of not trust but they did pass an inspection that was posted on the door mind you I didn't check the date. We ordered chicken wings they were like the chicken wings you get at Mandarin, the fries were good except they gave you catsup instead of ketchup. And I also ordered a coke which tasted like flavored water. I returned it and they stilled charged me for it. Service was slow. Why the two starts? If your just going to play pool or snooker yeah it's ok and the price for the table food and drinks was perry good. Would I go back there nope. read more

We were a group of 9 and we played with 2 tables (we were casual players) for 3 hours and we took out some soda drinks, the bill came down to less than 10 dollars per person. I like this place a lot. It's already hard enough to find a pool hall in the suburbs let along one that's not a complete dive. There are loads of snooker tables... I don't know how to play but I think I'm going to learn as it looks like a good time. Prices here are nice $3 for a day pass and $10 for a yearly membership. These day passes don't wipe off the rental rates though, you can look at the $3 as a fee every time you go and the $10 would wipe that fee for next time. Rates are $11 an hour for billiards and $12 an hour for snooker. Place is very nice inside and super clean. There's flat screens everywhere and banquets along the walls so you can chill out while playing. Tables are kept in good condition and are perfectly flat. Drinks are reasonable at $4 a bottle of domestic. Food is served here too but I've never had it. Overall, it is a an awesome place to hang out in the Richmond Hill/Markham area. Service was attentive and lay back Large screen ( super size) with confy seats. Came here for lunch and they have a wide selection of dishes to choose from. We chose two Asian plats but they were not that great. Thank God for World cup game made up the difference. All lunches are $5.99 with a drink or one hour free pool. Pretty good deal overall. This place feels a little bit more professional than Le Cue because it has snookers table. Its a good match if you would like to play snookers and american pool with your friends. Tables were old before, but recently I think they updated the tables, so now its newer than before. This place has more tables, however during weekend is pretty packed, you should arrive early to make sure you get a table. Came here last week with a couple of friends and all of us enjoyed ourselves very much here! Once you walk in, you'll see the bar and a small lounge area to your right. In front of you, you'll see a row of snooker tables and an extensive row of pool tables to your left. This place is very dim, very intimate and comfortable to be in. The tables gets occupied pretty quickly as the night progresses. One thing that I am really impressed with was the quality of their tables (perhaps new tables...? Since one of my friends is a regular here and he said they did renovations...)! The table we played on was flawless. The moment you hit that ball, it rolls smoothly across the table... it was just nothing compared to the other billiard places that I've played at! If you're a fan of pool or just an amateur player (like me, haha) then you've found the right spot! I believe it was around 8-10 bucks an hour. We stayed for almost 2 hours and the bill came up to around $20. Pretty cheap when you have a group; $20 split between the four of us was only $5 bucks each!!! Unfortunately, I cannot comment on their food since we did not order anything but water... However, service is decent here. We were checked up on once in a while by a server to see if we needed anything. So, another plus right there! Good ambience, good tables, good price and good service. Very nice place to shoot pool and throw darts! They also have a bar and serve pretty decent food there. Prices for billiards is reasonable and they offer rental darts of a deposit of 3 bucks i believe. Or you can bring your own darts or buy there. Reasonable service, pricey, nice environment, pool tables could be maintained better but felt is decent. Its easy to find a proper straight house cue stick with a good quality tip. There is always chalk on the tables and good lighting. Finger food isn't bad. Nice background music. It's good for a pool game but the service is crap, the place is dirty and I swear I got sick after using the publc washroom. The WC is never cleaned and full of s**t. The waiters are not familiar with their menu food or drinks. I asked for scotch rocks and they served me warm scotch in a girly mini shot glass. Otherwise it's nice place to chill wit your friends, just bring a hand sanitizer with you and don't buy their food. read more
