Came here last night for a few drinks and some appetizers, and loved the atmosphere here! A large establishment that welcomed all ages, there's something for everyone whether you're here to sit around a large table to chat with friends, watch the game, or play ping pong/pool. The place offers both pub food and an actual lunch/dinner menu, so lots of options to choose from! The calamari was nice and crispy with really good tzatziki sauce, but the nachos were next level. So much cheese was piled on there with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and jalapeños on the side. It was amazing, we enjoyed every bite. Great place to hang out for a few drinks and some snacks!! I'd recommend and definitely will be coming back.

Came here with my friend, it was early afternoon, place was not full. Lots of options for sports. You can watch any games on their large TV screens, play pool and ping pong. Full bar menu and good food. Good spot to hang out with friends. Just a 2min walk west of Royal York subway station.

Had a great time watching the Super Bowl on Sunday! I must say the chilli nacho special for $5 was amazing!!! Love the ambiance and how friendly EVERYone is! I also got their regular burger and Steam Whistle for $15--it was a decent burger They opened a new section with more pool tables, bars and TV! Always a fun night!

Amazing that's all I can say.. Newly renovated pub facing the outside lots of lighting.. An automatic opening for a well hard to believe... Amazing selection if beers on tap.. Had the vegetarian pizza so full of toppings and crunchy as well and fresh... Loved the experience.. Plus so many screens to watch your favorite sport show... Highly recommended for everyone.. Can't wait to try the other food on the menu...

How have I not been here more often!? Went last Friday with a friend for some ping pong and pool and this place was packed! Great to see so much life in an otherwise sleepy area. Pool is $20/hr and Ping Pong is $25/hr. Great selection of beers and staff was attentive at the games checking in regularly for drinks. If you are looking for somewhere to go to play some games and have a drink with friends this is an excellent option. Great for birthdays and special occasions too!

As far as a "pool hall" social hang-out I don't think it gets better than Crooked Cue in Etobicoke. The place is clean, the tables are 'newer', and they even have ping pong tables. They have lots of room and the main bar area has a huge skylight over long community tables. Located on Bloor at Royal York, the upper location spans across a few retail stores below. Next to the main area there is anotehr room with many more tables that I assume they use for larger groups or private events. parking on the street seemed to be readily available (even on a Friday night). The service was friendly, pub food was above average and there are lots of TV's to watch any current sporting events. It also seems to be a great place for large groups with one really long table for about 30 people near the front. The nachos, burgers and appetizers were all good and they have a decent selection of beer. They even stopped the table timer when we took a break to eat our meal (which was unexpected). Overall it as a great experience...at least if you're interest in playing pool. I think it would be a decent place for socializing, having a few drinks and a good meal, however my rating is based on this being a pool, gastropub type of operation.

I came with my friends cause i had a groupon and wanted to try it out. it was worth it. Even after the 2 hours were up we stayed longer (paid of course) and had a great time. I purchased a Groupon for $15, which included 2 hours of pool for 2 people and $10 toward appetizers. Monte Carlo is located just east of Dundas and Dixie, but is not visible from the main roads, which made it hard to find. It's located in a fairly old strip mall that I usually drive by without giving a second glance. The bar itself is an older looking establishment, but very well kept. There are many pool tables and a handful of snooker tables that take up the large space, which consists of one long main room, and two smaller rooms. The staff were accommodating when I informed them that I had a Groupon. They even gave us a reminder when we had 5 minutes left in our promotional 2 hour limit, which was very nice of them. The drinks here are decently priced, with a beer costing about $3.50. The appetizers are decently priced as well, but don't expect anything special. I ordered the jalepeno poppers and they were clearly just heated from a frozen state, with some being colder than others. While the food was just alright, the actual pool tables were quite good! The tables are well kept, and ours didn't have any rips or bumps that would've impacted our game. There was ample space between tables, so at no point did we ever feel cramped for space. The cues are also decent and plentiful. I'd definitely recommend this place to others for those who want a pure pool experience. For a night out, I'd still recommend Wacky Wings because the food and entertainment is incomparable.

I think I was intimidated because there's not much information about the joint online. I walked in and there were a few people having drinks, so I grabbed a seat at the end of the bar. After walking by for months and seeing the sign for their own Kanu Lager, I obviously had to order that. It's a very simple, very tasty lager that's super easy to drink. I'll definitely be drinking it again. I was feeling a little peckish, too, so I asked to see a menu. Everything sounded really tasty, so I asked for a recommendation and wound up with the Calamari Rings. They're surprisingly, shockingly good. They're perfectly fried and enhanced by a really tasty (and spicy) dipping sauce. I also want to single out the ambience and the service, both of which were tremendously appealing. It's a small, dark bar, which I love, and my server was helpful without being intrusive. I really don't know why it took me so long to check out Kanu. It's a really cool little place and I'm looking forward to stopping by on a regular basis in the future.
