Fusion brunch at @chillaxeaterymart Cute little Asian market at the ground floor, and up the stairs it's their restaurant. We went on Saturday around 11 am & thankfully there were a few seats left. The menu was pretty extensive & I would definitely come back to try the other items. For now, we got the: Thai Iced Milk Tea Iced Matcha Latte Pork Belly Eggs Benedict Beef Bulgogi Eggs Benedict The eggs Benedict came with such delicious sides & the portions were huge for its price. Service was quick & efficient. Would def come back again!

I love the quaint cozy decor of this restaurant, very thoughtful. We had dinner and the dishes were comforting and homey. The flavours were ok, not very bold, a bit too mild for my taste.rhr Cookies we got for sharing on IG were so so, the red velvet didn't have much taste to it. The chocolate one was the same, the matcha cookie was the best of the 3. Unfortunately, one of the 3 meals took a very very long time to come, resulting in our food going cold ( we wanted to wait to start). They provided a small discount to the 1 meal to make up for it, which was appreciated.

This is the second location and what makes it different is that they operate as both a restaurant as well as a convenience store/food mart. The store occupies the main level and the restaurant on the second floor. This is not a huge space so seating can be limited for large groups. At the top of the stairs is a pad where you enter your name and number to enter the waiting list. Menu is similar to the Richmond Hill location but also has some different items. More rice bowls and less ramen. No menu....scan the code to see the menu. What was ordered: Chicken and waffles Ahi tuna avocado bowl - basically a poke bowl Yuzu ahi tuna mango salad Baked bolognese linguine - sauce was rich and yummy Iced brown sugar coconut latte Food was good and portions were decent. The pasta sauce was rich and thick. The ahi tuna bowl and the chicken and waffles were both served with the same mayo sauce. Service was attentive. One complaint we had is that on one of the hotter days in the city the a/c was a bit lacking and there was also a issue with one of our orders (ahi tuna bowl) where the ticket was lost resulting in the dish coming well after everyone else's. The store is super cute. Lots of imported items from Asia. Drinks, candy, snacks, ice cream (matcha) and some dry goods. They have bears all over the store and you are available for sale but do lean towards the pricier end. Other important items to note: - limited parking at the back - restaurant does not look accessible, eatery is on the second floor and restrooms are on the main floor. I did not see an elevator. Good first visit...despite the order mixup we would consider returning.

Went for a brunch date with a friend, craving coffee and a casual spot to chat during weekend. The menu hits all the brunch notes: waffles, pancakes, burgers, croissants, omelettes, salads, and snacky sides. Ordered the smoked salmon eggs benny and my friend had waffles --tasted just as expected, with satisfying flavors and a nice balance. - as I remember it was around $30 per head Coffee was on point too--nothing fancy, but did the job. Didn't try dessert this time, but there's a tempting lineup for next visit. Interior is fairly simple--nothing too fancy, just clean and functional. Two-person tables feel a bit snug; groups of four will be much more comfortable. From my personal experiences, it's Quieter than nearby Café One, which gets packed and noisy on weekends--Chillax offers a bit more breathing room. Pricing is reasonable. Good value for what's offered. Overall: Solid spot for relaxed chats and all-day brunch without the bustle. Desserts are on the to-try list--maybe pair with another catch-up soon. Ideal for low-key meetups, casual brunch dates, or solo work sessions with coffee.

We enjoyed a lovely brunch on the weekend at this second floor restaurant. The first floor is a Japanese market filled with snacks, drinks, cute merchandise and a takeout counter. The second floor is where the restaurant is. I really liked the space as it had windows on both sides, allowing plenty of light into the restaurant. We both ordered eggs Benedict as a treat, I got the portobello and my partner got the bulgogi. The poached eggs were perfectly done, and I really liked mine matched with the crispy portobello mushroom. The combination of normal and sweet potato fries was very nice also. The Matcha latte was a perfect accompaniment, you can even customize the heat level!

Tried all Chillax locations and it's definitely still my fav brunch place. The eatery is a two floor restaurant with the mart on the street level and restaurant on second floor. The seats are tight and quite uncomfortable. The washrooms are also in the basement so it's a hassle to go up and down. However, it seems like there's a mini elevator to deliver the food from the mart to the restaurant, so that's kinda cool. Some of you may not know, but the owner used to own a bear cafe in downtown near Church Street. It closed down couple of years ago and they would sell some of the bear clothings at the Leslie location, but this location definitely has wayyy more! The menu also looks a bit different, so we ordered dishes that didn't seem to be available at the other locations. The pistachio latte is our all time favourite and it's only available at both Yonge Street locations. All the dishes are delicious especially the salted egg yolk wings, but definitely a bit greasy. Parking is kinda hard although there are between 6-8 free parking spots behind the restaurant. If not, there is a paid public parking next to it. If you want comfortable seatings then the other two locations are definitely better, but if you would like to do some shopping after, then its worth visiting!

This restaurant is tucked away on the second floor of a cute, quaint mart, which makes it feel like a little hidden gem. Just a heads-up that it's upstairs, and I don't recall seeing an elevator, so accessibility may be limited. The ambience is really nice--cozy, calm, not too loud, and on the smaller side, which I enjoyed. The service was also a highlight; our servers were kind, attentive, and handled everything graciously. As for the food, my family felt that most of our dishes (except the noodle soup) came out cold. My shakshuka was room temperature and had to be sent back, though they kindly remade it and the second one was much better. We also received a complimentary mushroom soup from a promo, which was also room temperature. We mentioned this at the end, and the server was very receptive. Overall, while the food wasn't very memorable this time, the vibes were good, and I'd be open to giving it another try in the future.

A solid spot with some room for improvement. There's a little bit of everything on the menu for diverse tastes. We got a couple different things to share. Calamari was nice and crispy and well seasoned. Poke bowl was a bit heavy on rice and light on toppings, but flavorful and clean. Ramen was not served hot enough, though the flavor was correct. Service was very polite and attentive. The restaurant itself is quite cute and a cozy spot to spend a meal.

First time here and it's so cute!! Love the decor and that there is a market downstairs. Restaurant upstairs. Extensive menu. It was hard to choose!! Also only 7 parking spots in the back if you get lucky!! Definitely will come back to try more items! We had a good time and good service too!!

Chillax Eatery & Mart is a cute hidden restaurant by the 401 on Yonge. The ground floor where you enter is an Asian Mart, but the restaurant is upstairs! I've been to the other Chillax locations (& Co on Yonge and Coffee on Leslie) and love them, so I had high expectations for this place. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The ambiance itself is very cute and cozy. The service is also very good, and the prices aren't bad. We were a party of 3 on a Friday night and it was pretty empty. We were seated in a booth and ordered 2 drinks, an app, and 3 mains. The menu itself is confusing on what they specialize in. They pretty much have a dish in every cuisine you could think of - Japanese, Thai, Taiwanese, Italian... I couldn't gauge what their "specialty" might be. You can't even really call it Asian Fusion because each dish is like its own cuisine - there's nothing innovative to call it "fusion". The food was subpar. Out of everything, only 1 of the mains is something I would get again - the rigatoni. However the dish did come out cold. The matcha latte was alright with a good sweet taste and enough matcha flavour. Everything else was just average - nothing special but I've had better elsewhere. The ramen was too salty and the smashed burger was... not so smashed. I really wanted to like this place but maybe my expectations were too high. Unfortunately I won't be returning, but I'll definitely pay a visit to the other locations. Tip: There is a small paid parking lot behind the restaurant! Despite it being 7pm on a Friday, I was able to find ample parking.

The Basil N'duja Ragu Rigatoni is rich and aromatic. The Gochujang Fried Chicken, seasoned like a Korean-style burger, has thick, juicy chicken that drips with flavor. The Curry LocoMoco is a Japanese-style curry hamburger rice, and I feel like I'll come back just for this dish. Both the smoothies and sodas are great!

    Braised Beef Noodle Soup
    Karl L.

Chillax Eatery & Mart is part shop and part restaurant. Heading upstairs, I found a cozy spot with comfy seating, and a giant teddy bear that looked cute. The only server managed the entire floor with a welcoming smile. I tried the braised beef noodle soup first and was blown away by how tender the beef was, practically melting with each spoonful. The broth coated my tongue in rich layers, and the slightly firm noodles had a good bite. Next came the garlic soy fried chicken wings, boasting a crunchy exterior and a perfect sweet-and-salty glaze. The Lo Bah Png (Taiwanese Braised Pork over rice) was amazing. Slow-cooked pork served on rice that soaked up every drop of savoury goodness. The deep fried garlic tofu was generous in portion yet felt too spicy and pungent for my liking. My Mint Yuzu soda finished it all with a crisp citrus lift that refreshed my senses. I enjoyed my time. I would not mind returning to chill and relax while catching up with a friend.

Sansotei Ramen Review…read more Order: Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen Ambience: Sansotei at union station is more like a quick takeout /food court ramen spot than a sit-down restaurant. It's great if you're grabbing something fast, but the seating area wasn't the cleanest and I had to look around for a table that had been wiped down, which wasn't ideal if I am paying 21$ for a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. Food: I tried the black tonkotsu ramen and it was definitely rich and filling. I liked that you can choose between thick or thin noodles, which is a nice touch. That said, the broth was a bit too rich and salty for my taste and could use something to balance it out, maybe an order or Diet Coke. The meat was good but not as tender as I would like. Sides and Pairing Tip: I'd recommend getting a side of gyoza or even a Diet Coke to help cut through how rich, heavy and salty the ramen feels. Value for Money: It's a good option for a quick meal, but it does feel a little expensive for the experience you're getting for that price. Overall: Great for a fast ramen fix when you're on the go, but maybe not the best choice if you're looking for a more comfortable dine-in experience, or more value for money. 3/5

We decided to walk up to Queen Street to see something we hadn't seen and seemed like a good area with a wide variety of restaurants. I was almost writing this review for the one on Dundas Street, but realized there are a few locations in downtown. Glad I double checked. We walked up along Spadina to Queen, not all the way up to Dundas. We were weighing options, but we were unsure what we wanted and struggled. We almost ended up at another restaurant with live music outside, but we weren't being served and wasn't enthusiastic about their menu. So, we looked at a couple of options. We didn't want Chipotle or Chick Fil-A; I can get that anytime as I live near those in Maryland. Also, I wanted cuisine that was harder to find near where I live. Ultimately, we settled on Mogouyan Hand-Pulled Noodles. After a lot of hunger trying to decide, this ended up being an excellent choice. Server was friendly answering our questions. It was moderately priced. We got their hand-pulled noodles, which was a large bowl, and was delicious with beef, veggies, & plenty of noodles. I also got their Japanese Toki brand whiskey. This was a FINE choice at a reasonable price. We got into some conversation with the server about being from the US and various other topics. This was an excellent experience, highly recommend.

The weather in Toronto this week has been in the 20's and 30's! The restaurant does serve the dodgers when they are in town! If it's good enough for them... I ordered a Canadian whiskey to start off. It was very nice and smooth. I think it was a Sleeman and sons? Not positive but I really liked it! Then the food. I ordered the first roll from every section. There were some repeats which he advised me would happen but I didn't mind! The sushi was so tender and had great flavor. My husband ordered the ribeye steak and that was really really good. I would order that definitely next time and come here again!

I don't usually go for high-end sushi restaurants, but Miku has been on my list for a while, so I was genuinely excited to finally check it out. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an office building, but the moment you step inside the restaurant, everything changes. You go from bright, corporate lighting to a moody, romantic space with soft, dim lighting and a refined, intimate ambiance... it truly feels like entering a different world. Bonus points for the complimentary coat check, which is a huge win during winter when everyone is lugging around massive puffer jackets. We were seated in plush, velvety sofa booths near the bar, with a view of the street, which felt both cozy and upscale. Shoutout to our server, Shintaro, who was phenomenal with his warm, attentive, and energetic service, which made the whole experience even better. We started with drinks: my coworkers ordered sake flights, while I went with their signature cocktail, the kumquat cosmo. It was sweet and citrusy, and exactly what I needed on a Tuesday night after work. For appetizers, we all chose the sushi and sashimi selection, which included 9 pieces of chef-selected sashimi, chef-selected nigiri, and aburi oshi sushi. This was chef's kiss. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the sushi and nigiri were perfectly seasoned and sauced, so that we didn't even need soy sauce (though they do have a lovely house-made sweet soy sauce). I ordered the Red Wave Roll just to use their house-made sweet soy sauce... and wow. I've never had sushi that didn't fall apart after biting into it For my main, I went with the roast black cod. It was cooked beautifully, with a tender, slightly chewy texture that was rich but not overwhelming. For dessert, I went with their famously loved green tea opera. It's a small green tea sponge cake layered with matcha buttercream, red bean cream, and a hazelnut wafer crust, paired with a rich, velvety matcha ice cream on the side. Balanced, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, Miku lived up to (and honestly exceeded) the hype. Incredible food, top-notch service, and a beautiful atmosphere.
