Amazing 10/10. Love love the soju bombs give me 14 of them right now. They have an amazing happy hour of buy one get one free for appetizers which is insane

Nice place. Moody and relaxed. The menu was unique and tasty. I got dumplings and the gochujang pasta. The pasta was so good! The specialty drink was just ok, but my gin and tonic came out strong. The service is interesting. I went up to the bar and then sat down. I couldnt tell if there was table service but the 2 bartenders were very nice even when busy.

Midnight Market is Toronto best-kept secret hipster hangout. The place is owned and operated by the same family that brought you the Green Room and the Red Room, so you know it must be special. When you walk into this dark restaurant/bar you are immediately transported to Nonbei Yokocho or some other Tokyo bar alley. All around you are Japanese Knick knacks and street signs. The bar serves interesting cocktails by a chatty and cheerful bartender. But the real magic of this place is the bar at the back of the the bar - the "secret" VIP bar. Walking past two sets of Japanese curtains, you are transported to an intimate bar with more Japanese knick knacks, vinyl records and vintage electronics. The bartender (John) is a hip and super friendly mad scientist of a bartender. Behind the bar he concocts amazing drinks of his own imagination. He's happy to explain to you exactly what inspired him to create the drink, and all the ingredients that went into it. He's very knowledgeable about alcohol and is passionate about Japanese whiskey and his elaborate collection of bitters. Make sure to try these two amazing cocktails: 1. Rude and Respectful, which contains John's homemade vodka infused with Jalapeño and Thai chilli - it's devilishly spicy and delicious. 2. Midlife crisis - a yummy drink served in a wooden box infused with cherrywood smoke. The selection of music is equally exciting, with Scott Bradlee Postmodern Jukebox remaking some of the great indie rock classics in the style of a speakeasy swing/jazz band.

Midnight in Asia Amazing decor, amazing food and drinks and even more amazing vibe As soon as you walk in, it feels like you teleported to Asia. All the little details in the decor have you believing that you really are in a night market in Asia If you're looking for a nice sit down bar with snacks, definitely check them out! Here are the items we tried: 1) Curry Fish Ball Skewer: the curry was very flavourful, but not overly salty. It's also not a typical Hong Kong street food style curry fish ball. There's a nice crisp layer on the fishball which adds a nice texture. 2) Gochujang Bacon Fried Rice: Fried rice with bacon bits and shiitake mushrooms tossed with gochujang sauce. The first bite hits your taste buds with a bang. I found it a bit too spicy for my liking though. 3) Pineapple Lo-Tea Hi-Ball 4) Ivy Song Cocktail

3.5 stars Good vibes for hanging out with friends for snacks and drinks. Came on Friday night. Starts to fill up at 1030 and filled at 1130 but it was never crowded or service was quick for drinks with little to no wait. Drinks were decent. The high balls were tasty like the pineapple lo-tea which has tea infused flavour or the jeju drink which was my fave and very fruity and sweet. The pineapple sake bomb was ok the glass cup has a weird smell and not very pleasant. Drinks were about $15 after tips so average but alcohol content was light so easy to throw back a few. Music was eh....Hit and miss - a little too loud so hard to hear conversations even though sitting close together but not happening enough to make you want to get up and dance. It was a random kid of songs and they change it so fast by the time you recognize a song it was changed to the next one. Anyways we mostly came to check out the decor and vibes and it's pretty nice and interesting.

I stumbled to this place in the college area totally by accident. It is a must to come and look at all the artifacts and decor that were inspired by Japan. If you're looking for a place with good ambiance this is it! The music sometimes good sometimes bad depends who the dj is. Rumor has it theres a secret. I remember trying the cocktails especially the lemonades it quite icy didn't really get to taste anything. I tried three different ones. I'll go with the standard beer. It starts getting packed around 9-10pm during the weekends so be prepared to line up or get rejected from capacity. Ideally should reserve in advance.

Really cool ambience good DJs when I went different than what you always hear at all the clubs in Toronto shit gets repetitive lol but I have heard otherwise from my friend who recently visited again. Also cool hidden room in the back invite only lol. I loved Midnight Market way better than Big Trouble lol I had a lot of fun with my group of friends I just had a beer but i'll be back to try the special Asian inspired food and drinks!

Kids love the word "aura" these days, and when my dad asked me what it means I told him "think Soho…read moreHouse 2010-2014." That confused him more but I like messing with my dad. Forreal though, the run Soho House had can only be rivaled by 2011-2015 Whole Foods. You really had to be there... but like any other prime, Father Time always catches up. I was set to do a full rise and fall piece on the Soho House right here on Yelp but in my research, I stumbled upon an article by Lydia Moynihan in the NY Post and she nailed it. I really didn't have much to add so go over and read that if you have a sec. Shoutout to Lydia. Instead, I'll just recap our experience here like any other boring Yelp Review. We came to this Toronto location before the Taylor Swift concert, and I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like prime Soho House. A beautiful, discrete brick building with an old school interior. Whoever designed this one needs a raise. I'm so tired of the cookie cutter half-assed modern architecture. The ones in LA and NY now feel like it is just a bunch of dorks trying to be seen by God knows who. There is no soul in those locations. We grabbed a drink in the lobby and went upstairs for our 5pm dinner. I domed a couple of negronis and we split a margherita pizza and a bottle of pinot noir before our mains arrived. I got the rigatoni, per the waitresses recommendation because she had a thick Italian accent. Big truss. She wasn't lying either, that rigatoni went crazy. I took like 30 pictures before a staff member came over and said no pictures, as I didn't know that was still a rule here... please don't beat me up. We closed dinner with a couple espresso martinis before setting off on foot to go see Big Tay put on a show. She really did her thing. Thank you Soho House Toronto, for giving me a taste of what the Soho House used to be in the states. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Come for the douche bags, stay for the salad. The interior…read moredesign here is actually nice. They have a eclectic and faux rustic vibe going on with seating and sight lines set up so that you can watch who is in the room. Truly designed for today's busy d-bag to allow them to half listen to their guest over cocktails while they scan the room to see if someone more important has walked in. The food is meh and it feels like this place simply exists for indie film and local television producers to feel like they are a part of some scene. There are 200 better places to eat a short walk from here.

Very nondescript outside facade - no sign telling you what it is other than a small "BSC" (for Bovine Sex Club) painted near the door. Hard to miss though as the exterior is made up a punk rock style sculpture of rusted bikes & other assorted ephemera. The interior is similar, visually. Great sound system & chill vibes pervade throughout. Weirdly the stage is right in the entrance of the club, on your left, with a long bar along the right side, heading back. Great, crowd, great location in cool area with lots of restaurants & plenty of parking - both on the street up to 2 hours & extended parking for a flat-rate of CA$20 (~$14 USD) from 6:00pm until the next morning, just 2 blacks away.

Are the beer cans running out? It's possible. But, it's a dive in the way of the old dives. And the acoustics for bands are... not great. But they are a sign of what once was. Without attempting to try to present a front of a time long gone, The Bovine simply exists today as it once did in that time long ago, before Smokes stickers, before iPhones, back when people would just go to a bar to talk with those they didn't know the morning prior. Bring cash though, unless you're looking to make some big orders, because credit card is a minimum fifty-dollar spend.
