Our food was great and the happy hour prices weren't expensive. The peach bellini is definitely worth the hype! July 8/2026: Dinner after the theatre with my Al! There was a bit of a wait before we landed a table at the upstairs bar. The place SEEMED quiet but shortly thereafter the place got JAMMED! Initially it was slow service but it picked up shortly. We had several different servers so no single server is tagged here. I will say that it's a hip, nicely equipped restaurant. We decided to do an appie meal. We ordered Sichuan Chicken lettuce wraps ($25.50)..this was the best of the appies. The next was the Crab Dip ($20.75), it was hot but not overly tasty. 3rd was the Hot Chicken Bites with pickles ($16.00). They were ok but not hot in temp enough. The final was the Chili Citrus Calamari ($21.25). This was the worse of the dishes. Simply put, it was cold. The server removed this from our bill. Stopped by the Cactus Club Cafe in Toronto after the Blue Jays game. This is a great spot for late night drinks/food. When you arrive you have the option to sit on the first floor or upstairs on the rooftop bar. I believe this is the only multi-level Cactus Club Cafe I've ever been to. We opted for the rooftop bar which had a high energy, upscale, and stylish vibe to it. We ended up sitting at the bar as it was very crowded. I ordered a frozen Aperol Spritz which was excellent and I could drink a few of these. For food we ordered a burger and fries which was good but nothing to write home about. If you are looking for a late night spot for drinks and food the Cactus Club Cafe is a solid choice. read more

We had a new waiter, and she was absolutely phenomenal, careful, and attentive. Shouldn't a great job with making sure everyone's orders are correct, the table is clean, and everyone having a great time. The ambience of this restaurant, reminds me of Hi Ibiza because they have a house music set going on at all times. I totally love it, great choice of music. The food, the dry aged ribeye with peppercorn sauce, was great. The sauce did not overpower the taste of the ribeye, and the ribeye was cooked as preferred. We go here whenever we don't want to cook. The food, service, and ambiance is super consistent. The food is tasty and good happy hour out of most happy hours in the area! Great for lunches, especially during patio season when the third floor roof is open. At night, it's moody and dark, lit by candles on the table and the tvs at every corner with sports playing or generic videos. Dishes that I always get are the creole blackened chicken, avocado kale salad and truffle fries. The sunset soda is also a great, cheap and low calorie drink. I've been to Cactus Club many times and it never disappoints. I love the happy hour menu, very affordable and provides delicious options. We went to celebrate my friends birthday. I ordered Tuna Temaki, an Old Fashioned, and a Frosé. The frosé was a perfect mix of sweet and refreshing. The old fashioned definitely was a good palate cleanser. The Tuna Temaki was very rich, creamy, and refreshing. Our server, Andrew, was so kind. He gave me many drink recommendations, kept checking up on us, and was very talkative and accommodating to any requests. 10/10 experience!! read more

Going into the restaurant (10 minutes before we arrived) we checked the booking page and they had plenty of tables available but upon coming in, we were told that they don't really have any tables. I mentioned the website and was told that sometimes "it's wrong". After all back and forth, they did place us at the bar but it took a while to get the order in and the staff were barely checking in on us. Good thing we had reservations. Despite how busy it was we were seated right away and our server Sarah was an absolute gem. Our drinks came out quickly and well made. They have a great wine list and we took advantage of it. So, ambience - check. Service - check. But it was the food that blew us away I started with the Wagyu carpaccio that emma's to die for. Just perfect with the crostinis. The my wife had the avocado bowl with salmon and I had the mushroom striploin. Both meals just freaking delicious- these folks have it down to a science and the food was off the charts. It had lots of prawns and a bit lobster but the texture of pasta with the fennel chilli crumb really completed the dish. I could write a book. One of our drinks was the peach Bellini (which one of the reviews recommended and they were not wrong). It's small but mighty. This drink is premade in a machine and hard for a bartender to mess up. I ordered a Long Island. It came like lemon seltzer water. Absolutely no alcohol, perhaps they thought I ordered a zero? I sent it back. The next... a vodka martini. That's as basic as you can get. It still came wrong. The top of the martini was watered down, the bottom pure vodka. I used to love the food at this place. Went for dinner recently. Not happy hour. Ordered from normal menu and got this salmon aburi. The pieces were ridiculously small and clearly cut in halves. Usually these are in rectangular shape from when I started eating here in 2016. Price has gone up but the portions are deceivingly being reduced. Not to mention front of house is so disorganized. Kept everyone waiting in the lobby and not really asking anyone if they need help. Everyone thought everyone else was in line but they were just waiting around. Probably won't come back unless for happy hour. The bar tenders were super nice but saw loads of them playing around with the cucumber and lemon with their bare hands after touching payment machines and money, jokingly shoving the garnishing in each other's faces before returning it to the container to be served to customers. Even with that, we waited for 10-15 minutes for our table to get ready. I strongly recommend to make a reservation for patio or lounge, to skip the line. Good food, nice ambiance and you can either do a quick starter or a detailed lunch depending on the of meeting you have. There are shareable to dine in with friends . What I like are their Zero proofs, wine and hibiscus drinks are my favourite. Service is decent, depending on the server but is always pretty occupied so you have to smartly time your requests, sometimes you get late as you are waiting for server to see you, but not their fault, so many table to each server. My partner and I went to this location this past Monday at 7, while it is a busy time of day, Monday's are generally more relaxed. Our waitress left us for a good 15 minutes to decide on drinks after she sat us. While this was not an egregious time frame, we were also left with our empty plates for an additional 15 minutes. This combined with a dirty stack of dishes left next to our table the entirety of our meal. We were sat in view of the bar and witnessed MANY workers pass by without clearing the plates. We had made our reservation a month in advance and specified it was a Birthday (also did not receive a "birthday" dessert either, as is usually expected at a restaurant when celebrating), while under no circumstance a customer should be left next to an un-bussed table for an hour, it was especially disappointing given the day. I would recommend a person order take out for the food rather than eat in given the lack of care I witnessed from the waitstaff. I was really excited to go here, but I unfortunately will not be coming back. I can't justify paying the price of the food combined with service that simply was not up to par, for any establishment. Wonderful experience at Cactus Club! We came around the winter holidays for lunch on a weekday and were seated on the second floor. Weekday lunches here definitely skew toward a Financial District workers crowd. It was pretty busy but we had a reservation which saved us time waiting. We had a very pregnant person in our party, so was glad to see an elevator in case she needed to use it. The whole place has a very cozy vibe, despite being such a huge location! Our server was wonderful and gave us some recommendations as well! The food we got was all delicious and perfect! Portions were good, tasted good, and looked good too! We asked for the appetizers to come out first, which took about 10 mins. The rest of the food took about another 10-15 mins to come out. The ambiance was nice I went on a midday on a Wednesday and it was packed they were playing good music and it wasn't to loud. The food was AMAZING the sushi was really good very balanced not to much rice I would've liked a larger portion of ginger considering the amount of sushi, the salad was good nicely dressed not soggy very fresh and the toppings complemented eachother well, the drinks were delicious if you aren't into sweet drinks I'd skip this one but over all very good. Finally the blackened chicken this is my go to dish when I eat out and when I say this is the BEST I've had the chicken was so juicy and flavourful seasoned so well the mashed potaoes were so creamy and light the asparagus was a nice side and went well with the dish.
