    Wagyu beef carpaccio

Great place to have dinner and drinks. They have a variety of options so there's something for everyone. I really enjoyed the beef carpaccio and the waitress made an excellent recommendation with the ravioli. It was busy so I'd recommend making a reservation for weekend dinner.

Came out for a work lunch, and Cactus Club was the perfect place to go for some delicious food. I have been to other locations before but this was my first time at the Willowdale location. We were able to get seated fairly quickly, and the hostess/servers were very kind! Great service always stands out more than food, and we were very happy with our overall experience here! The food is always exceptional here and I never have complaints on how the food tastes. Cactus Club just knows how to make delicious food and I will always stand by that. We ordered a bunch of things to try including the: Salmon Sushi, Hot Chicken & Pickles, Citrus Calamari, Blackened Creole Chicken and Creme Brulee for dessert! Like I said before for my other Cactus Club location review I will always go back for the Blackened Creole Chicken! 9/10 Recommend!

It's the Cactus Club... Another West Province bar using the same formula of chic bar, fusion foods, and the standard serving staff in tight black outfits. Unlike the other places, I do like Cactus Club. As I have been living in both great cities of Toronto and Vancouver, I've had the priviledge of experiencing the west coast effect. Like I said, of all the standard Earls, Moxie's, Milestones, Chop places and the like, Cactus Club Cafe stands out with their great drinks, delish foods, and each spot is designed to maximize the ambiance of where they are. I have to say, of all the CCC's I've been to, This location is really amazing. The modern look of bar area, the comfortable dining spaces, and the plush patio with roof slats that open... They went an extra mile for this place. So... If I liked it so much, why the 4 stars? Let me say that impressions given by whomever was our server part 2 was less than stellar. We were from a tight bar side seat to the patio area as our peeps will be going from 2 to 4 people. We were moved to near the end of the patio and comfortably seated. The server came up and we asked for the drinks menu and OMG... Attitude!!! She did not appreciate having people sent to her area that was already seated at another place. Lunch was had but we wanted more cocktails and she just fluttered off to talk to someone about it. Like WTF!?! I had the fortuitous luck that I met Giovan (possible spelling mistake) in the underground parking and elevator and had a quick chat about the various CCC's I've been to... and he was very pleasant. I ran into him again after our little kerfuffle with the server that didn't seem to have enough substance to handle mini crises in her life - however did not mention anything to him about it. Oh... BTW - he's one of the managers it turns out. He was more than happy to help up out and turn the whole experience around. Totally appreciated the extra mile that he went. The other server - totally left the scene and we ended up with a new person. What a breath of fresh air after such a toxic person with attitude issues. Total first impression of a 2 saved to a 4. My personal experience aside, this CCC is definitely worth the visit. Biz meetings, friends catch up, fam outing, and date nights approved. Cheers!

CACTUS CLUB CAFE . . celebrated a friends birthday here and wow was it amazing. It was both of our first time at Cactus Club Cafe and we thoroughly enjoyed all the food. It was pretty busy on a weekday for lunch so I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time just in case. Our server made some great recommendations and was attentive most of the lunch service. We also got a free dessert at the end so that was a bonus! . . Truffle Parmesan Chicken 5/5 Blackened Creole Chicken 4/5 London Fog Crème Brûlée 4/5

Cactus club for me is like any of the other big name franchises with similar menus. It's better than many other places. Dishes are good. Variety of options for everyone's taste buds. You can find something for everyone. We came here for birthday celebrations and the place was packed. 2 hour seating limit. It's dark in there; so hard to read the menu for older clientele. LOL. Happy hour on weekends start at 10pm so the place kept getting busier as the nite went thru. Also free underground parking that can be validated. And after 6pm it's covered for the entire nite. Overall a good place to gather with friends. No complaints

I celebrated my birthday here last 2024. It became our go to spot with my boyfriend for special occasions. I always love their patio during summer too. The food is impeccable and drinks are always such a blast. It is a busy restaurant regardless of that, their service is top notch every time we visit here. These are snippets of all the food I ordered from them throughout the years

Finally visited this spot with my partner after seeing its grand opening--we had been curious for a while and wanted to see if it lived up to the buzz. Truffle Parmesan Chicken - Surprisingly good, better than my expectation, $34.25 Cheddar Bacon Burger - Decent, but not particularly memorable given the $25.75 price tag Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Bar - The highlight of our meal! Rich, indulgent, and clearly a fan favourite (lots of praise in online reviews too) While we originally hoped to try their coffee, we learned they don't offer coffee--but their extensive wine list makes up for it, and wine lovers will feel well taken care of. Interior, Seating: Great ambiance and atmosphere--stylish decor and music that enhances the experience Prices are on the higher side for some dishes compared to similar dishes elsewhere, but the space and vibe give it a distinct character Overall Value This isn't a place I would go to for everyday dining, but it's worth checking out for the vibe and unique menu. While not every dish I tried was standout, but I only been there once, the dessert was excellent and there's a lot more I'd like to try--like the Baja fish tacos, Szechuan lettuce wraps, scallop & prawn ceviche, and other small plates. Tips: Popular spot, especially during peak hours and weekends--reservations recommended unless you're going during quieter times Come during non-peak times for a more relaxed experience, and don't expect coffee--but explore the wine menu if that's your thing. Tried this place yet? Let me know what you ordered--or what you'd go back for next time!

Food was good. Downtown location is better but for happy hour the selection was good. The ladies that served us were very nice. Would definitely go back to try different things cuz the service was good. It's a nice space. Lounge feeling. Calm and nice for end of day happy hour get togethers with colleagues and or friends to meet up.

    Steak frites

Went for late dinner and took advantage of their happy hours meal which starts at 9pm. Appetizers are about $3-5 dollars cheaper than regular menu while main course is about $8-10 cheaper. My steak frites costed me $28.50 instead of $38 yet portion size looks the same. The place looks crowded when we arrived, with almost every table seated on a Wednesday evening. The Angus steak was cooked correctly to medium rare though it leans slightly on the chewy side and took a bit of effort to cut. The salad was forgettable while the fries was barely salted. It was pretty easy to get my parking validated.

. came mid day on a week day . not super busy? didnt take long to get seated but all the booths were full . servers checked on us occasionally . food was okay? steaks on the more overcooked side . also really enjoyed the cocktail options! . exactly what youd expect going to cactus club!

Went to this bar recently with some close friends, and we had a nice time The servers were all sweet, though they kept switching ours for some reason lol - the last one we got was a little slow on checking in for extra orders or updates. Still, she was friendly! Loved the atmosphere here though - nice vibe, and the drinks were great. I tried this gin spritz something cocktail (can't remember the exact name), and it was delicious. Definitely a great spot for a date night! -Just one thing- if you want more privacy, let them know upfront. We got seated right in the middle, which isn't really my thing, but no big deal. Overall, really enjoyed it and would go back!

Catus might be my new fave spot for happy hour I got the steak frites, avocado dip, and salmon aburi. I started off with a Peach Bellini, it was so good and super strong! Came on sunday at 9pm and it was super busy, but got sitted right away, I would recommend making a reservation if you have a perferred sitting like patio, bar, lounge, hightop etc. Steak frites 8OZ comes with fries (upgraded to truffle $3.50) and salad. I would give it a 7.5/10 I did ask for medium rare but they over cooked by a little it tasted a bit dry as well, the downtown location made it way better tbh. Avocado dip was super delicious and the favourite appetizers of the night! the gauc was super smooth and tasted super good with hot sauce on the side 10/10. I didn't find anything special for the aburi salmon roll, wouldn't get again 7/10! They're located on top of a building so you will either have to take stairs or elevator (wheelchair accessible) there's a Green P near by, wouldn't recommend street parking. Clean restrooms and the restaurant was quite spacious, love how they have 2 entrances. Our server Anya was quite busy but she was attentive and checked up on us every once a while. She was nice and fast to get little things we asked for! She helped us get my friend her bday london fog creme brulee for her bday as well!

I really enjoyed the happy hour menu, there was lots to choose from and the pricing was moderately priced. The service was somewhat slow for a Saturday evening. Now mind you there was a Shay's game happening but they lost so it cleared fast. The booth and restaurant seemed clean busy. Again happy hour starts at 10pm, there's lots to choose from. It's a good vibe with friends and guaranteed options for anyone.

We had spring rolls & garlic chicken as appetizers. Everyone ordered their own main. I ordered the Beef Pad Thai with some modifications for my food allergies & preferences. The pad thai was really delicious & filling! Well, maybe because I had the appetizers too. LOL. In any case I enjoyed my food & couldn't finish it all. So I took the rest home in a small container. We didn't have any dessert because we were full! Service: I came early to make sure we didn't lose our table & was seated right away. I ordered appetizers so when everyone came they would have something to eat while the main dishes were being cooked. The main dishes actually came pretty fast after we ordered them. Our waitstaff were two different ladies & they were very nice & efficient. Ambiance: The decor is very kitschy. There were paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. And the door to the bathroom is a rustic wooden door. The tables are basic & chairs all had different colours. I don't mind the decor but it's very casual so not the best for a corporate dinner if you want something fancy. Also the music was quite loud. So it was hard to have a conversation. I like the food here & it's in a convenient spot. It's just really loud & casual. Also there isn't much space between the tables so if the restaurant is full it could feel squishy! I would come back here again to try some different dishes.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! Note: Some of my pics of the main dishes didn't turn out so it's mostly desserts that are pictures

But after a long day and an even busier evening, I got back to the hotel famished. My brain was incapable of processing decisions and when I saw how busy this corner of the Sheraton was, I decided this was it. I grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered a drink, and listened to a podcast to wind down. It was exactly what I needed. The drink, Nutty Times, was not only delicious but the presentation was exciting too. The bartender was witty, he advised everyone near us at the bar to whip out our phones, because he was about to put on a show. Check out the video I added! After a while, my anxiety from the day began to wear off and it was time to eat. I asked if I was able to take it up to my room as a to-go order and they said that was no-go. Something about the presentation and how you had to be there for it. I don't know about that. I ordered the Atlantic salt cod (fried cod balls) and while they were super good, the presentation left me thinking, "I could have totally eaten this in my giant robe in bed." Regardless, I enjoyed every bite. I did end up getting approval to take my dessert to-go. This made me very happy. It was a chocolate mouse-like thing, shaped like a heart (it was just after Valentine's Day). It came with berries and drizzled with chocolate. Very decadent. This was a very hip spot. The environment was buzzing with people in town for whatever reason, the staff was great, and the cocktail and food couldn't have been better.

We spoke with two bartenders that were both friendly, and willing to impart their spirits knowledge. Both cocktails were exceptional. They are expensive, but it's a Sheraton, so it was expected. Food was tasty, but pricy too. The bar is beautiful, so definitely a nice place to visit.

Thanks to a couple of the reviews, we ordered -- among other things the spicy rigatoni. Absolutely unbelievable flavor that really wakes up your tastebuds and says, "Delicious, aren't I?" The answer is YES!!! We ordered the truffle fries for the table, which are the best I've ever had and I love truffle fries. I ordered the Sangria Rouge simply because I love a really good one. This met and exceeded all my hopes and dreams. In fact, I would say that that describes this restaurant. It was a wonderful, wonderful experience.

We ordered a bunch of things to share and the table ended up being full pretty quickly. Rock shrimp to start, truffle fries with truffle aioli, a wagyu caesar salad, half roasted chicken, and king oyster mushrooms. Everything was good, but the rigatoni completely stole the show. Creamy, spicy, perfectly cooked pasta and one of those dishes where you keep going back for another bite even when you're already full. Drinks were solid too. The Pornstar Martini and the Hot & Bothered were both great and fit the vibe of the place. The space feels polished but still lively, especially around the bar. Definitely the kind of spot that works for a night out, drinks with friends, or a late dinner. If you go, do not skip the spicy vodka rigatoni. I would come back just for that.
